Okay hun Just be careful with your leg, limit movements as much as possible and get a lot of fluids! DO NOT use cold compress for more than 15 minutes within 1 hour (i think it might have been 1~2 hours but I can't recall exactly)! You will end up doing more harm than good. It has been recommended that you switch between a cold compress and a hot compress. I believe it helps with blood circulation. I am still in shock... You managed to fracture your ankle from tripping/slipping on the stairs? That is INSANE! I hope you get well soon. It is good that you are taking care of your ankle properly, it will heal sooner. But if someone fractures a bone/join shouldn't the affected area be put into a cast to reduce movement?
