My hair is already really susceptible to heat damage (because each strand is very thin)... Aint NOBODY got TYME fo dat! I wish I could do it though xDD Well in your defence, certain words have subjective meanings. A good example is when my sister cut my hair last year. I went from below the shoulder hair (similar length it was untill I recently cut my hair myself ;D) and when it was cut, the hair felt like it was maybe 2" below my nape. For ME that was SHORT. However in the eyes of others, it was long just shorter. Why am I telling you about my hair mishap that WILL NEVER happen again *chuckles*... You can do for a longer style than the other's are anticipating as the definition of "short" or "long" is subjective and varies from person to person. YOUR definition of short hair for a female could be a chin length bob of some form rather than a pixie cut. Get it? Be a little cunning with your choice, at the end of the day it is you who will have to live with this cut for a while till it grows back out... Be careful. I just cant remember which picture because I checked that thread out when I had first joined XD It was a dark picture and you had written "dont look at the face" or "the face is not important". Your hair was covering the majority of your face and the picture was VERY dark (like you had taken it with curtains closed?).
