The Role Player

I prefer not to confine myself into the rule of uke/seme, although if I'm being honest, my characters generally tend to fall on the seme side. I usually write anywhere between 4-7 paragraphs, but I can go shorter or longer depending on my partner. I draw the line at one paragraph though--if your posts are shorter than a nice, beefy paragraph, we're probably a poor match.

 

I've been role playing for... six or seven years now but please expect me to be a little rusty at first, as this past year and a half or so has been incredibly hectic as I've adjusted to college life and I haven't had the chance to role play as much as I'd like unu. I've always preferred group role plays but I'm going to stick to 1x1's while I get back into the swing of things.

 

I'm trying to be as open as possible so I will warn you that when I get busy, my role plays tend to be the first thing I neglect. That said, if we role play I'll give you my skype (and my email if you want it) so that you can pester me when you can't bear to wait any longer.

 

What I Do

• I role play any position (seme/seke/uke)

• I am generally OK with any genre

• I will role play fandom

• I also role play fem/fem, although of course I don't expect to do so on this forum (if you're interested, I would be happy to write a yuri role play with you either on a different board or over email)

• Age gaps (as long as both characters are at least 18)!!!! The bigger the gap the better. Nnnngh...

• Incest, although please be advised that it's NOT a kink for me, and it has to make sense/be appealing in context.

 

I'll do the following as well (although I'll be reluctant, and my willingness is heavily dependent on context)

• I will do plots involving kidnapping/bondage AS LONG AS I'm not expected to write sexual or emotional abuse.

• I'm OK with violence AS LONG AS it isn't sexual, and to be honest when I say violence I mostly mean rough treatment that stops before any blood is drawn. I'm really squeamish when it comes to abuse but I'm totally into helplessness, if that helps you visualize my boundaries.

 

What I Will NOT Do

• 18+ (I may make exceptions but believe me when I say you don't want to see me trying to write porn)

• Sexual assault.

• Any role plays centered around a kink (shota, incest, furries, whatever)

 

Basically, I don't want to write fetish porn with you and I'd rather avoid romanticizing abuse unu.

Right now I'm up for basically everything (that fits into the parameters I've already set forth) but I'll scrape up a list of things I'm particularly into uwu.

HARVEST MOON! I wanted to write on it, but have managed to put it off somehow.

 

Oh well, I don't need to write a Harvest Moon story. I just thought I'd drop by to let you know that I'm interested in writing with you. No specific ideas for now, but yes, I don't write 18+ stuff, and fetishes, and generally sex (can though).

I'm the same way with HM... I've wanted to role play it for so long but it seems like I never do D:. So I'm glad to finally do it, ehe.

 

Do you usually role play with character sheets or without? And did you want to role play a particular position (uke/seme) or just wing it? >w<. i also assuming one of us will be an established villager and the other farmer do you have a preference>

Er. I don't usually role play. So I don't have a usual character-sheet or no-character-sheet. But if I must, in my limited experience, I wrote up a very basic character sheet, then form the character as I go along.

 

And no, I think binding ourselves to the uke/seme thing wouldn't allow us for space to move. Life's not usually uke/seme, eh? haha

 

And aaaa, I'm not sure if I have a preference at this point. Do we just use HM as a theme? Or are we keeping to the original characters? And if so what version do we follow? (note: I've only played Friends of Mineral Town lol But I really liked it).

OK! If that's the case, it's no big deal. I usually go with my partner's preference. There was one 1x1 where my partner had me write up a character sheet that ended up being like 3 pages in word? It was pretty crazy. I guess we can go ahead and do something pretty simple, then... something like:

Let's just use HM as a theme. We can come up with a different village, that way we aren't stuck using the villagers from the games... or I suppose we can use the Mineral Town map and most of the Mineral Town cast, because now that I think of it, it'd be a pretty big production coming up with an entirely new village and new cast. We'd just have to come up for a plot reason for there being a new Doctor or Librarian or whatever.

 

Hmm... I thought I did that last time I tried to mention you but it didn't work, so I guess I'll just try it again today, haha.

Hmmm. But some of their personalities are not appealing. Maybe we can sort of divide the casts, like doctors, librarians, etc. and then create new side characters in place of the original casts. You know? They don't need to be detailed, and they can grow as the story goes if it's necessary. Coz some characters are annoying >_> and sometimes it's hard to do what you want if their personalities are set already. I know I asked and now I want something >_> sorry about that.

 

Do you prefer writing a long bio? I'm fine with it if you prefer that.

As for bio length... hmm, I don't know, I think it would be fun to give the bare minimum this time around, like how our characters came to live in Mineral Town... and the rest we would just know in our heads or have written down elsewhere and reveal at appropriate moments during the plot. That should work fine, as long as we keep the backstory reasonable and consistent xP. Does that sound OK?

 

OK so here's the map:

 

 

We can probably just divide characters by household since we don't really need to keep the same number of characters in every house, so...

Possible households?:

 

1. Farmland

2. Chicken farm

3. Yodel Ranch

4. Carpenter

5. Blacksmith

6. Winery

7. "Snack Shack" (doesn't need to be counted as a household but it does represent Kai as a character)

8. House on the beach

9. Inn

10. Mayor's House

11. House next to mayor

12. Library (and the house attached to it)

13. General Store

14. Clinic

15. Church

 

So we can just divide that however? Also, we can just ignore the snack shack, or have it run by the person who lives in the beach house... we probably don't need anyone to replace Kai. If we got rid of that it's an even split between households.

 

Sorry I'm writing so much, I'm just excited for the role playing part xP. I'm not really set on any of this so if you have any suggestions or corrections don't worry about asking about them, I'm not really committed to any of this at the moment and wouldn't mind changing it.

 

Also, since I'm on a roll anyway, I thought of some possible plots (again you can add some if you think of any, these are just off the top of my head):

Plot ideas:

 

1. We could of course go with the generic Mineral Town plot: a city boy learns that the farm he used to spend his summers on is being sold, and he rushes to buy it up only to find that it's in disrepair and needs serious elbow grease. He then develops relationships with the various villagers, blablabla.

 

2. If neither of us want to be the farmer, there's also the option of bending A New Beginning's plot a little... the entire town is in disrepair, not just the farm. Most of the households are vacant because villagers have moved out in favor of the city. During a walk in the mountains one day one character A encounters character B unconscious on the ground and hurriedly fetches him water... character B wakes up after some time and apologizes, offering to take character A to his home for some tea to make up for it. He explains that money has been tight since the town became so empty, and in a sudden burst of inspiration, asks/pleads/demands (depending on his personality xP) that character A take on a job in town to help things return to normal.

 

It would make a lot of sense to me if character A ended up taking up either the farm (to boost revenue) or the clinic but the beauty of this plot is that either of us could be in any job, basically. We'd just have to come up with plot events that showed the progress of the town and gradually introduce new townspeople.

 

3. Finally, I don't see why we couldn't just take an established village and roll with it. The entire village is occupied, including the farm, and we both have characters who've lived there for a while... we could go Save the Homeland with the plot, like they're planning to buy us all out and build a theme park, and its our characters' jobs to convince the town not to sell out and to prove Mineral Town's worth. Or we could just have like long time friends realize that they're in love with each other without a big plot in the background xP. Quite a lot of options.

Regarding the household, I'm not sure how we can divide it, but do you have any preference? I'd like the Clinic and the Church though. And yea the snack shack can be part of the beach house, doesn't make much of a difference.

 

I like your second idea, and if you don't mind, could you play the "protagonist" role, the character A sort of role. Like say in the first idea, the new farmer role. You know? >_> I generally prefer the supporting characters or supporting protagonist. Something like that lol
