[Anic]

Gio looked up on Kai as he ruffled his hair. He couldn't help but smile. Kai always seemed to do that to his hair. But he did like it so he couldn't complain.

As Kai started walking ha jogged up next to him and gave him a curious gaze. "Say Kai-sama... Why did you pull us out of the train?" he asked and wondered if they should continue their act as he just realized that if Alex was following, hadn't he ruined it all by now? "Because.. ehm... yea..." Gio wasn't sure what to say once again.

Kai put his hands in his pockets. "No...I took us off cause it was getting hot in there and you couldnt hear. plus the walk home is only about afew blocks from here." He said walking next to Gio. "dont worry...you dont have to pretend anymore. Alex wont follow us back, if we stopped at a hotel then yes..but we are going home." He smiled lightly. He could feel his head pounding and he knew he was running a fever but he didnt care. he wanted to get Gio back home before anything happened.

Kai's words about that Alex shouldn't be following them by now made him relived. But his words about hotel made him looks curiously on Kai and almost asked why they would have needed a hotel. Gio did notice that somehow Kai didn't look well, his own hangover was long gone, but for Kai so much more had happened this day.

"Kai-sama?" Gio asked with a worried tone and didn't let go of his gaze from the other man. "How are you feeling?" he said and reached out a hand to grab a hold of Kai, but stopped half way. "Are you alright?" he asked instead.

Kai smiled at Gio, "I'm fine just my back hurts is all. I am fine." He waved off Gio and started up the stairs to his apartment. He pulled out his keys and sighed unlocking the door. "I am ready to go to sleep though. I am just happy tomorrow is saturday." He said more to himself as he pulled off his jacket putting it up and slipping off his shoes in the hall. He sighed falling slightly and he caught himself on the wall. "I need to sit down." He said and breathed harder.

Gio followed Kai and held a close watch on him. He could see that his superior didn't look to well and if needed he was ready to catch him. As they entered the apartment he followed Kai's example and took of his coat and hanged it up. As Gio untied his shoes he could see how Kai leaned against the wall and just didn't care about his own shoes before he went to Kai's side and grabbed a hold of him to give him support.

"I'll help you to your bedroom." he said and didn't wait for any orders or anything before he started to walk with Kai towards the bedroom.

Kai leaned on Gio heavily and felt slightly bad for it. He didnt want to hurt him. He tried to put as much weight off of him as he could. He slumpped down his legs not working anymore. "I-i'm sorry." He said falling into his bed. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes. Sweat pooled on his forehead, "The effects of the drug were supposed to wear off...why am i still sick?" He asked curling in on himself not caring anymore. He hurt all over his stomach acheing.

Kai leaned on Gio heavily and felt slightly bad for it. He didnt want to hurt him. He tried to put as much weight off of him as he could. He slumpped down his legs not working anymore. "I-i'm sorry." He said falling into his bed. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes. Sweat pooled on his forehead, "The effects of the drug were supposed to wear off...why am i still sick?" He asked curling in on himself not caring anymore. He hurt all over his stomach acheing.

"Kai-sama..." Gio said with a worried voice while letting him get into bed. "Do you want me to call a doctor?" Gio asked and took out his own cellphone before Kai even answered him. "You have been trough a lot today..." he said while staring to dial the number to a doctor he knew would do home visits. He stopped and looked up on Kai, not caring on how he acted anymore. "I'll bring you a wet towel and a bucket. Maybe something to drink too?" he said as he stood beside Kai's bed looking down on him, ready to leave for the things and to press the dial button at the same time.

Kai didnt care anymore. He couldnt think his brain was slow and he wasnt thinking right. He nodded slowly at the water that was being talked about. He didnt really care if a doctor came. He knew the doctor would check everything and make sure he didnt injure himself at his entrance. He would rather not have another person touch him there all in one night but he knew it was for the best to check if anything had been put in that he hadnt felt and or seen while he was out.

 

He motioned for gio to get a little closer to him. When he was there Kai slowly reached up his hand and smoothed out the peice of hair that was sticking up. He smiled lightly and looked into Gio's eyes. He knew Gio had gotten used to him fixing it all the time. He was just happy he let him now.

Kai didnt care anymore. He couldnt think his brain was slow and he wasnt thinking right. He nodded slowly at the water that was being talked about. He didnt really care if a doctor came. He knew the doctor would check everything and make sure he didnt injure himself at his entrance. He would rather not have another person touch him there all in one night but he knew it was for the best to check if anything had been put in that he hadnt felt and or seen while he was out.

 

He motioned for gio to get a little closer to him. When he was there Kai slowly reached up his hand and smoothed out the peice of hair that was sticking up. He smiled lightly and looked into Gio's eyes. He knew Gio had gotten used to him fixing it all the time. He was just happy he let him now.

Gio held the phone to the side as Kai motioned him to get closer. He gave Kai a worried look but couldn't help it but smile back when Kai smiled and corrected his hair yet again.

"I'll just make the call and fetch you the water as I promised." Gio said still close to Kai before he stood up and did as he said he would. He let the phone ring as he went away to get the water at the same time.

 

It didn't take long until he came back into Kai's bedroom and reached out the glass of water towards Kai. "I called my old family doctor. He will be here in a while and check up on you." Gio said with a smile as he crouched down beside the bed with the glass. "Want me to help you drink it?" Gio asked and gave Kai an other worried gaze.

Kai smiled seeing the other leave the room. The smile dropped off his face when the door to his room closed. He moaned lightly at the pain he felt and arched his back feeling the pain in his stomach shoot through him. He stopped groaning enough for Gio to come back without thinking anything. He smiled lightly again almost sleepily when Gio came back into the room. He saw the water and he reached out for it. He couldnt sit up though and nodded when Gio asked him if he needed help. He closed his eyes waiting the light hurting his head.

Kai smiled seeing the other leave the room. The smile dropped off his face when the door to his room closed. He moaned lightly at the pain he felt and arched his back feeling the pain in his stomach shoot through him. He stopped groaning enough for Gio to come back without thinking anything. He smiled lightly again almost sleepily when Gio came back into the room. He saw the water and he reached out for it. He couldnt sit up though and nodded when Gio asked him if he needed help. He closed his eyes waiting the light hurting his head.

Carefully Gio wrapped his arm around Kai's shoulders and lifted his upper body so that he wouldn't choke on the water when he carefully held it against Kai's lips. "You are burning hot...." Gio said yet again with a worried tone while looking at Kai. "If I knew the day would turn out like this I shouldn't have let you leave the apartment for today..." he said and realized just then that he sounded like some kind of mother.

 

When Kai finished drinking he carefully let his head back down on the pillows again. He could see that Kai was bothered with the light so when he stood up beside the bed he tried to smile. "I'll go and fetch a wet towel for you." he said and before Kai could answer he turned around and went over to the doorway, turned of the lights and went for the towel.

Kai coughed lightly after Gio left. Kai loved that Gio was worried about him and that it looked like he cared enough. Kai smiled faintly feeling the lights go off. He shut his eyes and sighed thinking about Gio. He didnt know why they were just pretending but Kai seemed to have feelings for the clumsy Gio. He had been with him two days and he was already likeing him. Kai looked up at the ceiling, "What am i thinking? Hitting on a collegue?" He said aloud shaking his head. He really didnt know why he liked Gio. He knew that Gio was straight and that he wasnt happy about the whole kissing thing with Kai. He closed his eyes again moving over on his back breathing evenly. He would just sleep...it would help in the long run.

Kai coughed lightly after Gio left. Kai loved that Gio was worried about him and that it looked like he cared enough. Kai smiled faintly feeling the lights go off. He shut his eyes and sighed thinking about Gio. He didnt know why they were just pretending but Kai seemed to have feelings for the clumsy Gio. He had been with him two days and he was already likeing him. Kai looked up at the ceiling, "What am i thinking? Hitting on a collegue?" He said aloud shaking his head. Gio went for the towel and he promised. As he got back he stopped right outside the door, looking at it. He didn't think, he only stared at it for a second before he was about to open it when the door bell rang.

"The doctor!" Gio said surprised and turned around to changes his course. Gio didn't try to see who was outside, he only opened the door with a smile. Happy that the doctor could be there so soon. Hopefully Kai would feel better soon.

Kai heard the door open and he sat up slightly. He was red in the face from the fever he had as the doctor walked into the room. He smiled to Kai and Kai nodded to him shooting a glance at Gio as if to ask him why he called him. "Hello..." He said the best he could but it came out forced seeing as he didnt want to say hi to the doc. He layed back down and sighed lightly feeling his muscles relax. The doctor came over to Gio, "Can you leave us?" He asked shooing Gio out of the room. Kai sighed louder knowing what was going to happen. He would check all of him for injuries.

Gio first showed the doctor to the room and was slightly confused as he was shooed out from the room. But he figured that it was for the best. Kai had been faced many hardships today and Gio was still confused on what exactly that costumer had done to Kai. Even if he didn't know it pissed him of.

As he stood outside the room his phone rang, a bit suspicious he took it out and looked at it before answering the call.

"Yes Kano?" he asked as it was his brother that called again.

"Are you still busy with that superior of yours?" the bother asked curiously and Gio sighed before answering.

"No right now I'm not." he said as it was true. "But is it something important you have to tell me?"

"You remember that I told you earlier that I now have a girlfriend?" the brother asked and Gio only replied with a short "Go on." as he knew that his brother only called to vent some of is thoughts with him. Like ha always did twice or thrice a week. Right now it was a good distraction from Kai's current situation.

Kai heard Gio talking in the hall outside the door. He nodded to the doc for him to start. He came to him and helped him off the bed so Kai could take off his clothes. He slipped off his shirt first and left his underwear on. He sat back down in the bed with a groan and layed on his back flat. "How long will this take?" He asked hoarsly. The doctor looked up at him slipping on a pair of gloves. "It should take about...ten, fifteen minutes if you let me do it quickly." He said nodding. Kai nodded at the time and closed his eyes relaxing his muscles. He felt the gloved hand move around his ribs and when he got to about Kai's mid stomach pushing down hard to see if Kai responded. He didnt anywhere else but he gasped in pain letting out a small cry closing his mouth fast hoping Gio didnt hear it. The doc looked up at him and pushed it lightly again and Kai winced.

[Anic]

Gio was at the moment completely involved in a conversation with his brother about if he too could find a girlfriend or not any time soon.

"I'm in no hurry in that matter..." he said in a slightly complaining voice.

"But onii-san~!" Gio's brother complained as he was set on that his brother too should have a girlfriend as he had one. "But if you don't want a girlfriend maybe you could try that superior of yours that you seem to hang out with after work. Maybe you roll that way, what do I know. I've never seen you with a girlfriend ever." Kano said with a teasing voice to his brother.

 

At this moment Gio lost his knowledge of speaking. "Wh...Ha... Whe...."

Kano only laughed at his chocked brother. "did I hit the spot?" he asked and giggled before he calmed down a bit. "I have to hang up now. Mum wants something. I hope I can meet that superior of yours later." Kano said as he hanged up on his big brother.

"We are not like that!" he yelled on the phone while blushing madly. "We are not..." he said to the beeping phone as he knew that his brother would bug him on this matter for the rest of his life if he didn't find himself a girlfriend soon.

 

Gio leaned against the wall and looked up into the roof. "But what about Kai?" he asked himself and realized that the doctor still was in his room. He stood up and figured that the doctor should be done soon.

Kai couldn't take it anymore. He was laying in the bed sweating Jacob the doc reach aroun him reeking all the bones that he had broken moving them back into place. It seemed like the man had kicked Kai in the side multiple times till his lower ribs snap. It would take about a month to heal fully but it would still hurt. To Kai he hasn't even noticed it till the doc was pushing on them.

 

He didn't hear Gio anymore and he didn't really care. He let out a cry loud enough or the whole house to hear. Tears ran down his face though he didnt know why he was crying. It was only four ribs broken and being out back nothing to bad. Kai arches his back making his muscles strain against the docs hands. The doc shushed him and Kai nodded slightly biting his lip hard trying not to cry out again. He knew that Gio most likely heard him and he would barge in maki f sure he was okay. He felt a cool bandage go around his torso and he sighed happy that he was almost down.

 

"No working for you anytime soon son. You are gonna want to take it easy. I will come back later this week to check your ribs and also you have no other cuts." The sic said after tying off the bandage making Kai cry out again. He nodded lightly only slightly hearing him. His eyes started to close and he knew he would pass out if anymore pain was added to eat he already had.

Gio gave the door a surprised gaze as he could hear Kai's cry in pain. Quickly he pressed a ear to the door and tried to listen foe what was going on in there. He knew that the doctor would never do anything to hurt anyone, or at least he hoped he was right. It was the same doctor he had from when he was a kid.

 

Gio could hear the doctor say something, but couldn't really figure out what. So Gio pressed his ear closer to the door even if he knew that he probably shouldn't do that. Carefully he knocked on the door, not knowing what was happening to Kai was making him worried and he truly wanted to know how he was right now.

Kai sighed lightly hearing the knock knowing Gio would be in here soon enough. He heard the doc open the door and let him in. He turned his head in his direction though not seeing anything. He held out his hand for the others unsure if he was really there or not. He wanted to push back the hair on Gios head. Wanting to put it back into place. He saw the world around him blacken and he said Gio's name....well tried he didnt know if it acctually got out. He felt his eyelids close and he felt his body relax as he finally let go of his consousness and blacked out to the world.

Kai sighed lightly hearing the knock knowing Gio would be in here soon enough. He heard the doc open the door and let him in. He turned his head in his direction though not seeing anything. He held out his hand for the others unsure if he was really there or not. He wanted to push back the hair on Gios head. Wanting to put it back into place. He saw the world around him blacken and he said Gio's name....well tried he didnt know if it acctually got out. He felt his eyelids close and he felt his body relax as he finally let go of his consousness and blacked out to the world.

Gio backed of one step from the door as the doctor opened the door.

"Is he alright? May I come in?" Gio asked and the doctor let him in. He gave Kai a worried look and could see that he was reaching out a hand. Gio looked at the doctor before he walked to Kai's side crouched down beside the bed and grabbed his hand. He could see and almost hear that Kai said something. A bit puzzeled he looked at his superior, wondering if he just now said his name.

 

As Kai lost his concousness Gio gave the doctor a worried look. The doctor only waved to Gio to join him outside the room with the words: "let him sleep."

Gio did as the doctor asked of him and got a brief explanation of Kai's current state before the doctor left with the words that Gio should call him if anything would happen before he would do the re-visit.

 

As Gio was left alone with Kai in the apartment, Gio wasn't sure what to say or do. He sighed as he picked out the tablet for work doing what he felt was a good idea to do right now - To look up Kai's coming meetings, try to figure out what to do next.

As he was unsure about the situation he looked up Kai's father's number. Figured it would be the best idea to call his father about the current situation that Kai couldn't work for the time being. With a insecure hand he dialed the number on his work phone and called the Office, maybe Kai's father still was there.

kai before he slipped out of the living world...he felt a hand slip into his that was warm and careing. He couldnt see but he could feel that it was Gio. But just as soon as it rested there it left just as fast. He spoke Gio's name but no sound came out. He slipped into a sleep like any other he has ever had.

 

*days later*

 

Kai woke seeing Gio laying next to him one hand in Kai's and the other under his cheek. Kai smiled lightly and sat up gasping in pain. He looked down seeing he was bandaged up having forgotten about the injuries he had recieved. He smiles lightly slipping his hand out of Gio's moving a piece of hair back down onto Gio's head in a loving way.

[Anic]

Gio hadn't thought much the latest days. Somehow all that was on his mind to get Kai better. Even if he only was his secretary and Kai his superior - Gio couldn't help but care for the man. Even if they only knew each other for a short period of time Gio had came to like Kai, but he still was insecure in what way. After carefully tucking Kai in, talking about some unrelated stuff that his brother said to him on the phone, he fell asleep beside Kai in the bed.

 

Gio could feel someone move his hair. Still in his dream state he didn't react much until his brain moved the thought that told him about where he was at the moment. Without moving he slowly opened his eyes and looked up on Kai. He blushed lightly.

"Y-you are awake?" ha asked both surprised and relived by the fact and a smile spreads across his lips.

Kai smiled lighlty and nodded, "Yea...I'm awake." He said his hand falling to the others cheek lightly rubbing drool from his lips. Gio was so cute sleeping, Kai thought to himself and he wished he could bend down to kiss him but he couldnt. "How long have i been out?" He asked rubbing his torso some feeling the pain shooting through his side and up and down his stomach. He saw Gio had patches of darkness under his eyes he hadnt been sleeping. Kai rubbed one slighlty, "Have you no slept at all?" He asked worried about Gio.

[Anic]

Gio followed Kai's movements with surprise. But he was still relived that he finally awakened. "You been out for a couple of days." Gio answered as changed so that he could lift his upper body up on his arms. As Kai touched him under one of his eyes he flinched, not ready for anyone to touch him there. But he didn't pull away.

"I've slept, but I wanted to be around if you was going to wake up so I... Well didn't plan on falling asleep beside you. But I was worried and..." Gio didn't really know what to say as he got up in a sitting position while looking on Kai with a both tired and happy smile.

"I'm just glad that you are awake now." Gio said and couldn't help himself but grabbed Kai in a gentle hug as he didn't want to hurt him.
