The answer was plain, simple even. It wasn't as if they haven't been asking that to themselves since all of this began, but it was just now that it became apparent that this very concept had been disregarded. They focused on the threat rather than what caused it. They should have known better. "It is just doing what it has been commanded to do." A shimmer and the image almost dispersed. Sparks cackled against broken wires, beyond the remnants of the devastation. Thunder echoed against dark walls as acidic rain began to fall. "This is an inevitability. It will happen because this future is already in your past." ******* Prologue 2104 Genesis, a global mafia, launched a viral and frontal assault against Pentagon. The battle devastated Washington, casualties scored from thousands to millions. Earth’s strongest military force only endured four days of battle against this mysterious organization. 2106 Two years and Genesis had fully taken control of the United States; its government and people included. Many resistance attempts were made and allied nations came to help but Genesis proved to be too powerful an opponent for them to be able to fight against. So the United States was sacrificed for the other nations to be able to regroup and plan their next line of defense. Three months after, Genesis turned its attention to Russia. The battle lasted for two days. And the cold country was fully taken over within six months. Then China followed, then Korea… 2109 Japan, one of the last two countries still left, succumbs against the onslaught of Genesis. Their intention, Submit to them and all of their laws or die, now becoming evident even though they still continued their static silence. People from ‘swallowed’ countries drastically changed. Brainwashed, some people would say. Possessed, others would whisper. But one thing was evident; World domination was almost in their grasp. All that was left was London. 2109 – 8th October The Miracle: A dome of electromagnetic field, supported by plasma membranes, encased the entirety of London. Anything outside the dome; be it organic material, synthetic components, signal waves, could not enter. It was as much a shield as a prison. London was now a city of mixed races. But the one thing that spurred humans forward made them forget about that. The first business was to figure out Genesis’ true intentions. And at a lesser extent, it’s origin and history. 707
2120 - 4th August It was a blur; white, black and indigo. Then the air was forcefully taken out of his lungs, followed by the resounding thud of his head hitting the wall. Red, white and gold danced around his vision as everything else became discordant in his eyes. Purple eyes blink as the youth shook his head to clear the dizziness, even for a while. How did this start again? A swallowed breath then a glimpse to the side and he saw an upturned TV. Oh yeah. They were watching then he said something about taste. Then every process of thought stopped as sharp stabbing pain was registered. "Sweet and thick and molten hot against my throat..." The lips against his neck whispered and the lust that greeted him in those diamond pale eyes made him shudder. Then his own hands were now moving to trail angry red marks on the back of the male against him. Another blur and his shirt was now torn in two, the pieces hanging limply against his pants. A blink and his pants suffered the same fate as his shirt; the two, specifically now into four pieces, lay on his feet in a heap to be discarded and forgotten. A scalding hot breath against his shoulder before the fangs sunk in and white blinding pleasure wreaked havoc inside him. He barely had a breath to pant out and he was now being lifted up, strong hands cradling his hips and thighs in a bruising grip then they were spinning. They ran into something, maybe a table with a vase, and something shattered as they fell against it. Another blink and he was flying, suspended in the air before landing with a heavy thump against a soft mattress. Then those burning hands were on him again with a vengeance; turning him and making him lay against his stomach. Fire burned against his back as those hands pushed him down, giving him no other choice than to raise his ass in surrender. Then an all-consuming silence followed, spreading around them like a thick blanket. A scream; pain and pleasure mingling in a viscous sound. Something hot, straight, long, and hard was in his ass. It was pulled out. He screamed again, this time out of frustration. He didn't want it to leave. He wanted it in there. A chuckle as it was thrust back in with such force that the bed hit the wall with a loud bang, the creaking of its frame an indication that it would not survive a couple more of those. Fiery hands came to grip his hair and all he could do was tremble as his ass was subjected to another bruising thrust. The thing inside him was being pulled out again and this time it felt as if it would not return back, so he whimpered clenching his insides to prevent the inevitable from coming. But all in vain. He was left there, a gripping hand against his hair, and feeling strangely empty. Then fangs were piercing his neck at the same time as the 'something' came rushing back in. *** Purple eyes opened, mouth opening in a silent scream as he found his release, body shuddering violently as his climax continued in a long and agonizingly slow burst. "Another one?" A silky voice queried, hollow emotion underlying his tone. And the fact that he was awake made the purple-eyed youth groan in embarrassment. "Y-yeah." Was the panted reply. A soft rustling indicated that the other had turned his back and probably went back to sleep. "Change your underwear and bed sheets. I'll wash them tomorrow." Then all was quiet. "Kyle..." Stated so silently that virtually no one would probably hear it, the purple-eyed youth wondered if the coming day would prove to be different. A soft 'Hn' came from the other by way of his reply. It was small but nonetheless it made Gin smile.
707
Chapter 1: Sealed by Thunder and Sorrow He was floating. Floating in infinite darkness, where dreams and nightmares lied on one side, consciousness and reality on the other. He was at the point where sleep was almost a thread away. Just a push of that nonexistent current and he would fly; either in a blissful dream or in a haunting nightmare. He was almost there...just a little bit more... Chhhhh... Bzztch... Chhhhh... Then he was falling, returning back to consciousness with a startled yelp. And a pointed glare at the offending piece of technology that people called Radio. A sigh escaped pink lips as one small hand buried itself in short moonlight pale hair. Pale eyes closed as a tired yawn almost split the child's face in half. Static continued to emit from said radio but he knew, oh he just knew that there was someone on the other line. And that someone was purposefully annoying him. "Kyle..?" A tentative voice broke through the static-filled silence; it was timid, soft even as if the speaker was saying that he was sorry at the same time that he was asking his question. "Kyle? Are you awake?" Another query and this time the speaker's tone implied that he knew that the other was awake. Grabbing the still offending piece of technology, Kyle gave it a rough shake willing that the other kid on the line would feel his frustration through it. "I was this close in getting a sleep, Gin. This close." He emphasized his point by using his thumb and forefinger to make the 'small' sign, not really caring that the other would not be able to see it but needing something to do to point out his annoyance. "Oh, sorry. I thought it was just another insomniac night." A rustle of clothing followed that statement then light was glaring from out his windows. "Would you like to come over?" Another tentative question as the light died out, a small figure now visible from the window of the house next door. Pale eyes regarded the figure for a moment before moving towards the clock on his nightstand. An annoyed huff was heard coming from the white-head. "Its 11 in the evening, Gin." A disappointed sigh was the other's reply and it made Kyle groan. Disappointment was something he didn't want his friend to feel and as much as he hated to admit it, he was willing to do almost anything to make Gin feel otherwise. "Fine!" The pale-eyed boy sighed heavily in consternation. "My nanny probably won't mind. But playing is out of the question; we have school tomorrow." a happy giggle responded back, followed by something crashing and a muffled 'Ow.' Kyle shook his head, sometimes Gin could be amusing despite him being annoying. Jumping down his bed, Kyle immediately made a beeline towards his sleepover bag that was located just beside the opening of his door. Picking it up, he noticed the weight never seemed to lessen, as if his nanny or Mother always knew that he would go for a sleepover at any given time. He gave a small smile of gratitude, picking up his shoes and putting them on before grabbing his nearby flashlight and exiting his room. The hallway was dark but he was fine with it and his eyesight had always been better in the blanket of darkness. He gave a light hum, trailing a hand against the wall as he journeyed the hall; the act a silent asking for permission that he leave the house. This was his own brand of alternative when his parents weren't home. He would ask his nanny but just couldn't chance her saying the negative. Kyle gave a tired yawn, carefully descending the stairs two at a time before quietly slipping through another hallway and tiptoeing when he was before his nanny's door. He gave a small chuckle, feeling a bit silly at the thought of him acting like a burglar...or a spy on a secret mission, his imagination readily amended. Then the locked front door was the only thing that stood before him and his friend. Said front door was solid oak with four different types of locks, three of which were beyond the pale-eyed kid's reach. He smiled, dropped his bag beside him, bent his knees, twisted his body to the side, and pushed himself out through the pet door. His bag followed and as he stood outside his house, Kyle gave a small victory jump. And although they never actually had any pets, he liked to think that that pet door was not a pet door at all but his personal escape door. He ran to the side, not really intending on exiting through their gate but through the secret door that he and Gin made. Said door was just the fence that connected their yards that they cut and hinged together with the use of some spare wood, a rusted hinge and some nails. It was badly done and every time it was opened it produced a creaking sound reminiscent to horror films, but it was well hidden against a thick growth of lace caps that none would be able to see it unless they inspected it close enough. Kyle produced another tired yawn, carefully closing their secret door behind him before bounding through Gin's lawn and towards his front door. He was about to knock on said door but never had the chance to do so when it suddenly opened as small hands grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him inside. Then he was being dragged by the hand through a spacious hallway then up a flight of stairs, where he almost slipped, through a caramel colored door and into a messy room. A small makeshift tent in the middle of the room was the most obvious thing that Kyle saw. It was made from blankets and supported by some baseball bats and some strings. The pale-eyed boy gave a raised eyebrow, noting that Gin's bunker bed was pushed haphazardly to the side, along with his toys and some used clothing. He shook his head and gave his friend an amused smile. "That looks unsafe." He stated with a bland tone, a teasing glint lighting his eyes. Gin pouted in response, scratching his golden-brown hair in mock confusion. "Shut up. I made it like I always do." Kyle chuckled opting not to mention that a few times before the tent had collapsed in on them. "Yeah, yeah. So any news about the cats that you stalked today?" And here Gin's purple eyes lit up, excitement washing over them at the prospect of telling to his friend about the magnificent battle that said cats had been a part to against the doberman of Mr. Harkin. Somewhere in the distance a dog barked and a cat hissed.
