The Truth In The Water (Arekushisu + SakiOda)

[Arekushisu]

Aoi smiled and swam over to Prince and he hugged his waist looking up at him seeing if he was okay with it. He smiled lightly blushing a dark red. He moved back slightly letting him go, "S-sorry..." He said keeping his arms and legs moving in the water to help him stay up. He was having some trouble since he had swam that day his muscles were tired but he stayed up none the less. He watered his legs move next to Prince's almost still tail and sighed. He had to work so hard to stay up and he didnt have to.

Looking over Haro laughed at how clung to him Aoi seemed to be, Aoi blushed but once Haro realized what Aoi was doing Haro blushed as well. Haro sorta wished he had a tail too so they could swim together. Haro looked out to the ocean acting like he was just called Haro looked back with a somewhat sorrowful look. He didnt want to pretend like he was leaving for the night but he still needed to be himself before the night was over.

Aoi saw him look out into the ocean and his smile fell. Then and there he knew that they could never be together. That the oceans call was more important. "Y-you have to go right?" he asked swimming to the rock agian holding himself up. He didnt want him to go. "Y-you really belong here..." He mumbled under his breath.

He nodded once of course really he could not resist wanting to kiss him Aoi swam over and hugged him tightly he was hoping that aoi would let haro go maybe just maybe he could be happy. Haro pecked his lips and waved lightly he looked to the side and had very sad face as he moved swimming back alittle, He dived into the water and swam away haro hurries to the shortcut to get back to shore he dried his legs smiled. Perfect now i can be haro he stood on the dock. "Aoi..Aoi where are you?"

Aoi swam ashore and he dried off. He was walking up the steps to get out of the sand when he heard his name and he turned. He smiled seeing Haro comeing to him and he ditched his things and ran over to him. "You made it." he said hugging him slightly. He leaned back and dropped his hands to his side remembering he wasnt prince. He smiled again and started walking and motioning for him. He walked alongside him and he smiled talking and they laughed together. He looked over at him every once in awhile the blue water they walked by making him look cute and attractive. "So, are you getting in?" he asked lookng at the water longingly.

Aoi swam ashore and he dried off. He was walking up the steps to get out of the sand when he heard his name and he turned. He leaned back and dropped his hands to his side remembering he wasnt prince. He smiled again and started walking and motioning for him. He walked alongside him and he smiled talking and they laughed together. He looked over at him every once in awhile the blue water they walked by making him look cute and attractive. "So, are you getting in?" he asked lookng at the water longingly.

"why do you want me in it so bad?" laughs lightly as he holds his towel over his shoulders he looks at aoi concerned as they walked he felt that he knew why and it pissed him off but he kept on smiling like he had no idea what he would do so he pretended not to know. "Aoi you look sad whats wrong?" stopping infront of him he looked at his face, His hands on his arms "Aoi whats wrong?".

Aoi smiled and looking at Haro. "Nothing is wrong...i-i'm fine." He said looking away an embarrassed look on his face. He didnt like to show his weak side and when he cried he did it alone not letting anyone else see. He moved against his hands on his arms and he started walking again hoping he would follow. "Just tired is all..." He said in a failed attempt to hide it.

[Veil]

he seemed to be in denial.. haro bit his lip..was it time to tell him the very truth he kept hidden as he let out a sigh. "Hes probably not leaving for good he probably just had to go for a the night.. the rain.. it calls me to the ocean but i dont go.. maybe it called him" haro said as he clenched his own hands tightly. i hate this he only talks prince this prince that he sighed and followed behind aoi. Haro's head hung down as he walked.

Aoi smiled lightly, "Yea...he did look back at the ocean...though i'm happy you dont leave." He said pushing around a rock in the sand. "I didnt want him to go yet...he stayed for such a short time." He was really happy Haro was here but he wanted to spend more time with Prince too.

[Veil]

He looks to the side. "Maybe hes not leaving yet maybe he will be back tomorrow" Haro wanted to slap him and scream at him but he could not muster up a yell, or even a slap he let out a sigh. Prince prince prince, that's all you ever talk about, Is that why you hang out with me..Because i look like him..when im in the water..i look just like him" haro was angery but he managed to get out small words as he looked up tears brimming his eyes. "You hate me..when i have legs.."

Aoi turned at the words and he saw the tears in his eyes. "Haro i dont hate you...I like you." He said wiping his tears. "I-i didnt mean to upset you...I talk about him all the time because your the only one i can talk to and that makes you special to me." he smiled lightly touching his cheek wiping the last tear. "Dont cry please...I wont talk about him anymore when i'm with you." He said hugging him rubbing his back. "Your my good friend." He said into his ear hugging him tighter to his bare chest. "I dont care if you have legs or not you are still Haro and you are one of my friends and that wont change." He said rubbing his back noticing he had a towel.

"Thats all i am you a friend.." Haro backed up from the hug and turned he looked like he was heading home his head dropped and his hands were tightly close as he started walking his thoughts raced he felt almost like crying as he looked up his eyes narrowed as he walked faster. "I hope your happy choosing someone who is mute over someone who talks!" Haro took off running to his home trying to get there before aoi caught up.

Aoi didnt know why Haro was getting so upset. He looked up at him and ran after Haro not wanting him to go yet. He grabbed his hand and he turned Haro around. "Why are you acting this way? Your the one who let me meet him. The one that introduced me. Why are you getting so upset over me liking him?" he noticed the tears and he didnt want to hurt him. "Haro...y-you have to telll me...or i wont know." He said moving away some of the long hair that fell into his face.

Aoi didnt know why Haro was getting so upset. He looked up at him and ran after Haro not wanting him to go yet. He grabbed his hand and he turned Haro around. "Why are you acting this way? Haro shook his head his voice broke as he turned, The boy who kept his secrets and did not tell a soul, felt like spilling his guts over some silly crush that clearly wasn't going to happen due to his stupid idea of making an alter ego and he pulled himself away and ran to the docks. He did not want to hide anything he dove right into the water coming up looking to the side. He did not know how aoi would act seeing as haro did not change what he was wearing he looked exactly like prince. Haro did not say anything right away.

Aoi ran after Haro and he stopped at the edge of the docks seeing Haro in the water. He looked at him confused. He shook his head seeing Haro looked just like Prince. He stepped back slightly, "H-haro..." He said looking at him seeing the same exact outfit Prince had worn not even thirty minutes ago. He looked at him and thought it was just that all mermen looked the same. He didnt want to believe what he was thinking. That Haro was Prince...that Prince was never real. That Haro was making fun of him...Aoi had told him that he had fallen in love with that man and it was the perfect chance to have them fall in love.

Haro nodded as he looked up hies eyes still looked down as he was waiting to get yelled at by aoi who had just figured it out when haro decided to speak "I am the only merman..and i wanna apologize for not telling you but i.. i was scared.. I am the one who saved you.. and this ribbon" he untied the ribbon and held it up. "This is yours and i have held onto it since you drowned." he stopped pulling himself up onto the dock looking up. "I'm sorry"

Aoi felt the tears fall down his cheeks and he hugged Haro. "Why didnt you tell me? I feel horrible now..." He said taking the ribbion from him. He looked at it and the tears ran free. It was the ribbon he had from his mothers dress when she dropped him off at middle school. It was the last time he had seen her before she got in a car crash. "W-where did you....h-how did i not notice this?" He asked looking at it seeing the color was fading slightly.

[Veil]

"You fell when i pulled you back up this fell off you" he looked to the side his eyes looking upon the boy with the new ribbon. his eyes watched he was waiting for the friendship they have to be broken since he lied and kept something that belonged to this boy. "I am sorry i understand if you dont want to know me but it was me..from the very beginning." he pulled himself farther up the dock looking up drying his tail.

Aoi hugged Haro, "I dont care that you lied. I just wish you had told me sooner. You made me start liking someone else when the one i liked was you all along. I fell for you the moment your lips left mine on that beach." He said pulling away to see haro's face slipping off the towel from his shoulders and dabbing at his tail and chest. "I dont care why you did it...or that you kept this its just a ribbon anyway." He said slipping it back onto Haro's wrist. "Keep it. It's yours now and dont lose it okay?" he said smiling at him and wiping his tears.

Confused slightly haro waited till his legs came back as he got up hugged haro as he looked around for wondering eyes haro's parents came out side haro gripped tighter onto aoi's waist, He didnt wanna go anywhere, Haro's parents watched curiously as haro pulled away for a second. "My mom wants me home..i hope you will forgive me completely" taking the ribbon and tying it in his hair. he looked back the soft purple hair sliding off his shoulder. "See you tomorrow" with that he took off to his home and went to his room.

Aoi felt the arms around his waist and he hugged Haro's shoulders. He could see the distant figures of his mother finding out that he had left during the night. He sighed and heard Haro speak so he didnt have to. He nodded and he watched him run off finally knowing what kept that boys hair tied back all the time. He started walking home slowly dreading the yelling he would hear when he got there. He got home and his mother didnt yell but she glared at him and he knew that ment get to your room. He nodded and he walked up the stairs changing and jumping into bed dozing off fast for he was tired from the swim against the waves.

The night seemed restless as the dreams of aoi and haro hit haro like a million bricks being thrown at him, He tossed and turned threw the night, Morning came, Haro felt ill and at the same tired worried he got dressed despite his ill feeling and went outside towards the dock and stood there looking out his eyes watching curiously. He crossed his arms and looked to the side.

Aoi woke and he looked around. Dreams of him with Haro mixed with Prince. He had to choose which even though he knew they were the same person. He got dressed it was the weekend so he was fine to go out. He got out of the house and he looked down the dock and he smiled seeing Haro standing there. He ran down to him and smiled, "Hey Haro." He said hugging him gently. "You sleep well?" he asked letting him go and slipping on his jacket.

Aoi woke and he looked around. Dreams of him with Haro mixed with Prince. He had to choose which even though he knew they were the same person. He got dressed it was the weekend so he was fine to go out. He got out of the house and he looked down the dock and he smiled seeing Haro standing there. He ran down to him and smiled, "Hey Haro." He said hugging him gently. "You sleep well?" he asked letting him go and slipping on his jacket.

"Yeah slept great, also Hello aoi" haro turn stretching lightly as he put his arms behind his back. "The sea is so calm today, its been restless for years. now its calm and happy" using the sea as his metaphor for his heart he hoped that aoi would catch on but even if he didnt it was okay haro was just happy not that he finally told aoi the truth.
