Bio: Jack lived in an ordinary home with his parents all of his life. When he was eighteen he moved out of his parent's place and moved into his boyfriend's apartment, planning on getting a job and go to college from there. However, he slacked off quite a bit. A little after his nineteenth birthday his boyfriend left him and let him keep the apartment. Not having a job and having no way of paying for it caused him to lose the apartment. Now he pickpockets and steals to survive on his own.

Jack had found himself in the sketchy part of the city after his boyfriend left him and he was kicked out of their apartment. It wasn't that smart to be here, he knew this, especially since people knew better to go down this area. However, there were some people who were stupid enough, as he liked to think, to actually come here. Travelers, perhaps, or some lost souls who couldn't find their way. Whatever their reasoning was, he would always bump into them by "accident". When they would return home they would find things missing. It was their fault for coming into the area. Stupid people had nice things, so it was worth it to stay in this bad area. It was just unfortunate to be homeless still.

However, that changed when he pick pocketed from a man with quite a bit of money. Perhaps he won the lottery, or maybe he was even wealthy. Whatever the case was, with the money he had to was able to find a cheap little one bedroom apartment. Luckily the rent was just enough that he would be able to make it easily if he stole enough.

It was late at night and Jack wandered through the city streets, looking for any unfortunate person to steal money from so he could get something to eat. He saw an interesting looking person standing by a crosswalk, waiting for the light to change to indicate he could walk and continue on his way. From what the time was and the fact that the man was wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase he assumed the man had just left work. He began to wonder if this man had a lot of money and before he knew it he was bumping into the man, hard enough to distract him as he stuck his hand in his front pocket, swiping his wallet out in one move. He apologized quickly, and continuously, all to keep the man from realizing what he had just done. He was quick to dispose of the money from the wallet, only ever taking cash and never a credit card. He pocketed the money and he dropped the wallet by the man's shoe, acting as if the crash had knocked it right out. It was a bit tricky getting wallets back into pockets which was why he bumped into people hard enough. It was easy to lie then. Unless the wallet was in an opened bag. In that case he could slip it out and right back in.

He once again apologized to the man for making him drop his wallet, just so he knew where it was. Jack was quick to leave the scene before the man could even manage to pick up the wallet and find that all of his cash was gone. When he thought he was a good enough distance away he took the money he had stolen out of his pocket and he counted it. He had about a hundred. This was good, he had more than enough to get himself something to eat and some more. He doubted he'd eat much now, however. It was a bit late and he didn't feel like eating a huge meal. Something small... Ah, like a pastry or something from a cafe~. Dessert sounded really good right about now. He walked up to the place and he peeked in through the glass, looking around to see if anyone was inside. One, two... Maybe three customers were inside. A few girls which were all together. Good, he could still be served. He wanted just a little something and then he would leave. He wouldn't take up too much of their time. He just wanted something that would satisfy him for the night.

Upon entering the cafe he stepped up to the counter, looking at the menu that was placed on the wall. He waited for someone to come by the register before he ordered a small slice of chocolate cake and milk. He set the money down on the counter and he took the plate, fork, and glass. Finding a table by the counter he sat down and he began to eat. Ah, deliciously cool and moist, it was his favorite~. He would really have to come back here some other time to try out their other food. At some point the girls left the cafe, but he wasn't completely alone. One of the workers (or maybe it was the owner?) was behind the counter, no doubt waiting for him to finish so they could close up. He soon finished eating and he noted a sign that said the bathroom was down the little hall. He noted that the room was now empty, the worker probably having gone back into the kitchen. He couldn't blame him, it would be boring waiting there and just watching someone eating. He didn't think it would be a problem for him to use the bathroom quickly. He got up and headed there, passing by the kitchen and going down the hall.

The bathrooms were down there, along with something else that caught his interest. Stairs? Well, the place did look a bit big from the outside. He wondered what was up there. Probably storage... He could have ignored it and gone to the bathroom like he intended, but his curiosity was getting the best of him. The stairs were closed off, not allowing anyone entry up there. Only, Jack didn't care as he simply lifted the rope barricade and began climbing the stairs. Just a quick look to see what was upstairs and he would leave, no one would know~. He just didn't expect what he saw when he reached the top. It looked like...someone was living here! But who? It didn't matter much to Jack as he began looking through various items that laid about. Maybe he could swipe something and sell it? He needed to pay rent soon, after all. And even though it was cheap he needed more than what he currently had. He doubted anything would be missed. If only he took his bag with him, something he used to fit somewhat larger items in that wouldn't fit in pockets and it would be seen otherwise. Oh well, he would have to make do with small items to fit in his pockets. Maybe there was some jewelry around... Who knows, whoever lived up here may wear it. It could be a woman who had a lot of jewelry. He could only hope and that he would be able to sell it for a nice price.

James Marks

27

Bio:

James grew up in a single family house and when he got out of high school he went to culinary school and got his bachelors degree. several years later he opened his cafe and now lives above it since he wants to be close to it.

________________________________________________________________________________________

James was hollering out orders to his staff so that they could get the orders out in time so that every one could eat and then head out when they had finished their.

James closed up the cafe when he saw that everyone was gone and rolled his neck it had been a long day and they had been swamped and all he wanted to do was take a hot bath and go to sleep. He then headed up to his apartment so he could do as he had planned. seeing that his door was open James moved and headed in slowly wondering who was in his home and he was sure as hell going to find out. James moved slowly and headed in to find out who was in his home.

James moved in to his home and headed to where the noise was coming from and spotted a young man going through his things "you know the only thing of value I have are my kinves and those you wouldn't want to try and get"

Jack was having trouble finding things to steal. He scoured the area, trying his hardest, but he just didn't have any luck. He could only find small things that he pocketed, things no one would really want. Oh well, maybe he could find some pawn shop and get a couple of dollars for some fast food place and focus on pickpocketing from people. As he continued to search around the apartment he knew had to be careful or else whoever lived there would return, but this attempt just wasn't as worth it as he thought it was. No woman lived there it seemed, not that he could find any jewelry unless it was hidden away somewhere - he didn't have time to look through every little corner or drawer. Damn it, looks like he'd have to try someplace else, steal from someone else so he could make his rent. Only, hearing the voice behind him made him flinch. Fuck. So some guy lives here...? He wondered as he turned around, finding it was in fact some guy. The owner of the cafe, to be exact. He was in the male's bedroom so he realized this may look really bad for him.

Well, just because he was caught in the male's home didn't mean he was in trouble. Just as long as he didn't bring any attention to his pockets then he would be fine and manage to leave without causing any trouble. "Oh, whatever do you mean? I'm not looking for any valuables, I just... Found these stairs and got curious is all," he explained with a small smile, attempting to walk past the man so he could leave. He was close to the door, just a little more... The mention of knives made him curious, that's right... This guy was a chef, wasn't he? He must have had really good knives, ones that he could sell to someone to make some real money. Damn it, he wished he thought that through before he had been caught. Not that he would have anywhere to put them, anyway. He was disappointed, but not too much when he realized he could just sneak in some other time. As long as he wasn't caught this time and he continued to act dumb then he could return without any problems. "Sorry to walk in on your home like this, I'll be going then~." He said, mentioning his leave before he headed for the door.

James slammed his hand to the door jam and looked at him "I think you need to empty your pockets young man" James looked at him with narrow eyes. he didn't trust the boy everyone in the area or who came knew that the rope was there to keep people out of his home "besides you bypassed the rope so you know you weren't allowed up here so should I make you pay me back for trespassing and stealing or let you go?" James wasn't asking what the boy thought but trying to figure out what to do with him. curious as to why he would need to steal James dragged him in to the apartment and pushed him in to the chair and then sat across form him and looked at him "so why are you trying to rob me"

Jack paused, flinching as the door was slammed right in front of him. He backed away and held his hands up at chest level, trying to show he didn't mean any harm toward him. "Hey, relax, man. I didn't steal anything from you. Why would I do that?" This tactic often worked out. If he acted stupid enough when he would be caught people left him alone. The other got him there, he did trespass. "Well, I'm sorry. I just got really curious. I won't do it again, I swear. Making me pay you back, that won't be necessary." He tol him, lying, though he made himself sound genuine. He didn't bother to empty his pockets, if he did that would ruin everything. Again he wanted to head for the door, only this time the man grabbed him and dragged him over to a chair. He sat there, staring toward him when the male sat down across from him.

"I'm not trying to rob you. I haven't taken anything of yours. Let me just use the bathroom here and then I'll leave. I won't even come back, I promise." He insisted, really wanting the man to think he was being serious. It was unfortunate since he enjoyed the one dessert he was able to have and would have loved to try more, but there were plenty of other cafes around. Oh well.

"do I look daft boy I can see that there is a slight bulge in your pocket and I know what of my stuff is missing so you may as well quit acting stupid" James had eyes like a hawk and he needed to for his profession so that he could spot if anything was wrong with an order or if a meal wasn't right. James could tell that the boy was lying and he wasn't going to let him get away with trespassing or stealing. James had already figured out what he was going to do but he would have to wait to see what the kid was going to do. "you can either tell the truth or I call the cops and have you arrested for theft and trespassing"

Jack glanced down at his pockets, finding they did bulge out more than pockets normally did. But he didn't let that scare him and make him confess. "So what? It could be my wallet. You don't know what I have in there." He remarked. Man, this guy sure was persistent. The pocket bit didn't scare him, but the threat of the other getting the police and arresting him for legitimate reasons made him pause and rethink his next move. Damn it. He cursed the male in his mind, he could still try to lie... But if the man resorted to grabbing him ad emptying out his pockets for him he would easily find his items in there. With a small sigh he hesitantly reached into his pockets and grabbed the man's things, placing them onto the table beside them. "There, happy now? I'm sorry, just... Don't call the cops. I just need some money and soon." In a few days, to be exact. He hated getting caught. It happened once or twice, but he always managed to get away with it. This had been his first time having to return the items to their rightful owner. Bastard.

James looked at him and then walked over to his billfold and picked it up "I'll give you the money to pay what you need to but I expect that you return here tomorrow morning at eight you will then be given a job and you will work or all I have to do is let the cops know that you broke in to my home and tried to rob me if you do a good job tomorrow you will be given and permanent position on the staff and you won't need to steal." James looked at him as if daring him to argue with him and to try and dupe him if he gave him the money he needed

Jack watched the male when he stood and walked over to get something. He watched him curiously, wondering what he was doing until money was presented to him. Holy shit, this guy was giving him money just like that? Funny, he wasn't trusting yet he was simply giving him money without questioning him further. He grinned a bit at that. "You're so willing to give me this money and you don't even know what I need it for or how much of it I need." It worked for him. He reached over to take it from the male, fully intending to take it and leave right that moment. Only, it wouldn't be that simple it seemed. Well, it was. The male wanted him to come in tomorrow morning and help out around the cafe and eventually - possibly - get a permanent position. Jack could easily just take the money and not return. The man could call the cops all he wanted, he had no idea who he was. "You don't even know who I am so calling the cops will be pointless," he decided to point out.

"Your not very observant I have security camera's through out my home and it wouldn't take much to get your face off of them or get your prints so my advice is show up tomorrow or find the cops standing out side your home" James then crossed his arms and looked at him wondering if he was worried about what would happen if James decided to target him

There were security cameras? Shit, he hadn't even noticed... They were probably obvious, but he hadn't been paying attention. He didn't expect there to be any cameras around the male's home, but of course there would be ones around the cafe. It wouldn't be hard to find him on camera from tonight in the cafe and then later up in the male's home. Well, fuck. He was stuck there, then again, how were the police going to find where he lived? That didn't matter, they would certainly keep an eye out for him around the city. They would look for anyone stealing and if they caught him they would already get him for trespassing and stealing from the cafe owner. He would be screwed over more than stealing a wallet from someone's pocket or bag. He sunk in his seat and he rolled his eyes, "Damn it, alright, fine. I'll be there tomorrow. I swear. Just don't call the cops and I'll work for you, alright?" He gave up, giving into whatever the male wanted of him just so he wouldn't get arrested.

"..My name is Jack Haden, what's yours? Just so I know who you are." He asked, deciding to introduce himself so they wouldn't be complete strangers.

"its James and I expect to see you tomorrow morning so head home and get some sleep and make sure that your showered and in a white dress shirt and black slacks" James wanted him to know what he expected of him and that he would be watching for him. James then looked at him lightly so that he knew he wasn't joking

"Yeah, yeah.." He muttered and took the money from James. White dress shirt and black pants, he was certain he had something like that around in his closet. When he planned on going for job interviews he wanted to look nice. It just never happened. Figuring the man was finished he stood up and headed out the door. He left the cafe and went home, deciding on showering in the morning. He had to take care of his rent, too. It could be taken care of later... He had a few days and he had the money now, which speaking of that he made sure it was put away in a safe place until he would pay his rent.

The next day he made sure to wake up early enough to shower and get something to eat. He remembered to wear the dress shirt and pants, which he was thankful for still having with him. He knew he had it in his closet. Seeing it was almost eight he decided to leave, heading for the cafe to start his new job. Oh, joys. He thought to himself, not quite enjoying having to wake up so early, but he knew that if he didn't do this then James would get the police and they would be able to find him. That was the last thing he needed. Upon reaching the cafe he opened the door and walked in. He asked for James, wanting to show the man he was there and to find out what he needed to do.

James looked up when he was called and then came out and looked at him. "good to see you can make it" he then handed him an apron and order pad and a pen "you will be taking orders and showing people to their seats and such Julie will give you directions and instructions on what you need to do" James then called back and told his kitchen staff to get back to work. he then headed back and got the kitchen moving again

Jack stood there waiting for James to see him. When he did he gave a small nod, showing he was listening as he was told what he would be doing. "Sounds easy enough," he replied as he took the apron, order pad, and the pen. He slipped the apron on and wrapped the ties around his waist. It certainly beat going to jail. Seeing James go into the back he figured he would be starting now. He turned around and saw a group of girls enter the cafe. He walked over to them and showed them their seats. This would be easy.

He was glad for today being busy. He would have hated standing around and waiting. He was used to being outside and doing things, walking around and stealing. There were moments when he wanted to just leave the cafe and return to what he loved, but he knew the moment he went missing James would be looking for him. Or worse, the male would call the cops on him and let the police deal with him. He could easily stick a hand in one of the girl's bags or slip a hand in a guy's pocket to grab his wallet, but he feared James would be right there next to him the moment he did so. He attempted to focus on his work, actually managing to get through the day without stealing anything. He just wondered if James would approach him by the end of this and search him or something, just to make sure he didn't take anything. If he was lucky he would get to just leave and go home.

James had been watching him all day while doing his work and he was impressed the boy had managed to make it a whole day with out stealing. when the day ended he closed down and then walked over to him and held out and envelope you wages for the day if you want to earn more come back at seven and we can fill out your employment information and get you some insurance for health, eye, and dental" James made sure all his people were healthy and figured that if this boy wanted a decent job and a chance to change his ways he would come back and the idea of a frequent income and consistent income would be more of a lure then anything else. James then looked at the clock and was glad they closed on time that day having him there had really helped them out and for that James would be grateful to him but only for that.

Considering Jack hadn't stolen anything from anyone that day he wasn't too worried when James approached him. Although, he prayed the man wouldn't want to search him. If he was thinking that then that meant he didn't trust him and Jack worried it may become a usual thing. A routine of sorts after every shift to ensure he hadn't stolen anything, even if he hadn't done it at all. He felt a sense of relief when James simply handed him an envelope with money. Peering inside he saw it wasn't that much, although there was promise of more if he came back tomorrow? And actually got a job there... James did think right, Jack was interested if there was the promise of him getting more money if he got a job.

He would make more by stealing. But, then again, there were days when he wasn't too lucky and was unable to get much money. This job would ensure he would always be making money, the same amount, or perhaps even more if he did well. ...He realized he had been trying to convince himself to do it. If he didn't he was sure James would call the cops on him. "...How much more would I be making?" He asked the other, hopeful it would be a lot more than what he had received. It was something so he would definitely be taking it.

"this is based off of what I gave you yesterday so its whats left of your pay you'll make 7:50 and hour plus tips the better your service ti more tips you get and the higher they will be if you are really good at it you may be moved up to assistant manager and they mare 12 dollars and hour" James looked at him to see what he wanted to do for him a steady income would be good he could make rent and everything else he wanted all with out having to steal "now if you can cook real well i can put you on the line and move my weakest cook out here you will then make 13 dollars and hour" James was looking at him waiting to see what he would decide to do and then he would go from there

Ah, that's why there was so little in the envelope, he was sure it wasn't because the other was punishing him or anything for attempting to steal from his home. Right, there would be tips. If he worked well enough and appealed to the customers he would get plenty. He smiled a bit at the thought which only grew wider the more James explained things to him. A higher position meant more money. He loved that idea. "That's all fine. Thank you, James. I think I will stick with this job. You've got a pretty nice place here." He complimented with a nod, "So I'll see you tomorrow at seven, then." He said before he headed out, ensuring James didn't need him for anything else before he left.

Appealing to the customers meant more tips. So if he appealed to the owner of the cafe - which was James - he could easily get a better position. Hell, maybe just the fact that James liked him enough would get him more money. He only had to learn more about the male to do so. That thought left him pleased, having a little plan forming in his mind as he walked home. Luckily he didn't live too far from the cafe. It was just a short walk. Once he reached his apartment he changed and got his clothes cleaned, needing them for tomorrow. He really needed to go shopping to get more dress clothes for this job.

By the next day he did the same as yesterday, except he woke up an hour earlier and had to be there an hour earlier as well. Reaching the cafe he walked inside and went to James to do as the male wanted so he could get the job.

James looked at him and motioned for him to sit down at the table. He then handed him all to forms "if you need you can stay with me till you find a better place and such but that is only if you want and it only takes a couple seconds to get to work everyday so you can sleep in a little more then normal plus there is breakfast involved" James cooked in the morning so that he had flue to make it through the day with and then to lunch since they closed for a hour before the lunch rush to eat and an hour before dinner to eat as well. James then went and described how the day went and such when they weren't swamped and made sure that he was ready for anything and to let him know that if he had any problems with customers to head to either him or the manager for that shift he didn't want him taking them on and then have a complaint against him

Moving over to the table he sat down and he took the forms. Though, he was distracted by the sudden offer. Whoa, wait, what? Was James seriously offering to allow him to stay there with him? The perks of living there above the cafe sounded perfect. Oh, he definitely couldn't turn this offer down. He didn't have to think about it when he nodded quickly, grinning toward the male. "Yes, that would be amazing. Thank you so much, James." He said happily, this would also help in what he was planning to do last night. He would be able to get closer to the man. The closer he got he had a better chance at making a lot more money. Hell, if it came to it, he could get paid for doing certain...things for James. Lots of pleasure filled fun. He always found it easier to just steal the money instead of working for it by sleeping around with various different men or servicing them. That was, without getting a real job. Now that he had this job at the cafe it may be a bit difficult to get the male to think about giving Jack some money by having Jack pleasure him. But, it could be something on the side.

"My apartment isn't that big, so I don't have much stuff. But the things I do have, should I get them now or later to bring them here?" So he could move in. This worked out wonderfully, he would get to save up more money instead of having to use it to pay rent. Although, he had to wonder, would James make him pay rent as well? ...Ah, that could be where he services James. There were plenty of possibilities and he wanted to try them out.

"you can get it later cause this will take most to the time we have before we open and we can talk about things like rent and such later tonight since I have to get things going in the back" James wasn't going to ask for much since he knew what it was like to be strapped for cash and such. James was also going to see about taking him clothes shopping so that he had some more work clothes then what he had already. James knew they were closed tomorrow since it was a Sunday and figured that would be the perfect time to take him out and get what he would need plus he had to go shopping for food as well

Shit, rent. Jack wasn't too worried, he could deal with rent for a little bit at first until he could warm James up to the idea of sexual favors as his rent payment. The thought sent chills through him as he imagined letting James use him however he wished so he could make rent. He made sure to focus on the male and he nodded to him as he glanced over to papers he had been given earlier. "Ah, that's fine. I'll do it later, then." He decided, work first and then after he would get his things, most likely with James' help just so it would go quickly. "Hm, is this place open all throughout the week? When do we get off?" He asked him. He was new to this place and never paid any attention to it before, so he was clueless as to how most things were run besides what he had already learned.

"we are open Mondays thru Saturdays I give every one Sundays off to relax and spend time with their families and get things done if they need to I will give you a list of days we are closed and everything tonight and tomorrow we can go and find you a bed and such" James stood when he heard a knock on the back door and opened it. he checked everything that he had ordered and then told them to put it away in the fridge and freezer and he would sort it later. James watched them to make sure that nothing got broken once he was sure that everything was good and safe he signed for the delivery

Ah, and today was a Saturday. Which meant he could just wait until they both had off to get his things and move them into James' place. "Oh, that's perfect, we can save moving my stuff until tomorrow, then." He voiced his thoughts, nodding as they pretty much had the same idea. He could just sleep on a couch until tomorrow. It wasn't anything new to him, he had done it plenty of other times. Hm, James had a couch upstairs, didn't he? He was pretty sure he saw one. Ah well, blankets and a pillow on the floor worked for him, too, if it came to that.

When he was left alone - James answering the door when they heard the knock and dealing with whatever was happening there - Jack actually focused on those papers he had been given and he leaned back in his seat. He grabbed a pen from the desk and he started filling them out, not bothering to hide anything since this was a real job and he needed it. Else he would be spending a rather uncomfortable time in a cell. He was certain James still had that plan in the back of his mind if he misbehaved or even thought about doing such. He filled out all of the necessary information to help him with the insurance. When that was done the workday had begun. He spent the day similarly to yesterday, showing people where they sat and taking people's orders. Not much was different, except this time he noticed he was receiving tips. Huh, that didn't happen yesterday. He loved getting money, stealing it was the best, but this was a much better improvement. At least to James it would be. Jack wasn't stealing it.

With a yawn and a stretch Jack slipped his apron off as the day had reached its end and he helped close up the cafe. He quietly followed James up to the apartment - his new home. "Mm, just get me a blanket and a pillow and I'll sleep anywhere, it doesn't matter to me." He told the male, not particularly picky considering he would be getting a real bed tomorrow. This was just for tonight.
