nked remembering Niel's caution twords everyone and everything. And with that he smiled

 

Of course it's safe...atleast none of the kids I watched playing it got hurt. I mean if you don't wanna play it we could play a card game or something. I know how cautious you are...and I really don't wanna give you a reason to be that cautious around me"

 

He knew his words may not mean much, but they were true...

[Anic]

Niel only heard the words of someone that tried to gain his trust.

"hm... card games?" Niel said as he slightly turned his plate on the desk just to do something. "Maybe one of the servants may know anything about any game in this mansion..." he said with a sigh as he gave Kira curious gaze. Not really sure of what he should think.

[KiraMidnight]

Kira just nodded a bit and slightly smiled. He knew what it sounded like to Niel...he always felt the same way...but he couldn't help but feel a bit disliked....but he understood, since he'd been there before

 

"Ok, but I'd rather play with you..."

[Anic]

"I didn't mean that we would let a servant join us... I just figured that one of them might know if there are any games laying around in this mansion." Niel replied with a sight as he got up from his chair, leaving the plate spinning on the desk. He walked across the room to one of the shelves and watched the backs of the books placed on it.

"But only if you truly wants to." even if Niel didn't know close to nothing about games, he still was slightly curious on what playing a game would be like. Would it be fun? or would it only be a waste of time. Without saying anything he gave Kira a curious gaze that shouldn't be understood as anything else then that he really wanted to know more about games.

Kira nodded smiling haily

 

"Lets go find someone then...I'm a bit hesitant still on talking to people here.....I don't trust everyone

 

He knew it may sound bad...but it was oh so true

[Anic]

"Trusts are for dreamers that don't live in the reality of this mansion..." Niel replied with a sigh as he turned his attention to the room's door. He then gave Kira a short gaze before walking up to it and opened it.

"Ready to ask anyone about games? You don't need to say anything, I can do the talking." Niel said as he stepped out from the room.

Kira nodded and followed him, his tail swaying back and forth as he walked and his eyes focused on Niel. He didn't feel like getting lost again...not like last time where he screamed Niel's name....but Niel was right, trust was for dreamers...but sometimes he couldn't help but trust Niel

Niel walked a different way from before. He lead their way to the other side of the mansion, away from the kitchen, his bedroom and the yellow hallways. He was on his way to the best place he knew that he would find any servants that wasn't busy with anything important - the servants dorm.

"How was the streets?" Niel asked, he knew that it could be a bad subject and that Kira already told him some about it. But he couldn't help to wonder. "I'm curious." he confessed. "I have never been outside this mansion..."

Kira looked at Niel and smiled a bit.

 

"Well...it dependes on the season...if it's spring, people are pretty calm...not nice...but not so mean either. If it's summer everyone is out and about on the street....and they like to pick on people....and it almost always ended up being me...if it's fall people are trying to stay inside and. stay warm...getting ready for the hollidays...except Halloween...people kind of hurt me...and winter...well.....thata it's own hell...it's freezing cold and no one cares about me...so I would always nearly freeze..."

 

Kira didn't look sad, but in reality, he kind of felt a bit sad...but he didn't care anymore...he was warm and safe where he was

[Anic]

"The outside world sounds like it's full of new things and variations of them. Not the same day in and day out as it in this mansion." Niel said and couldn't help to imagine how it could be outside the walls of this mansion. He was still young for a demon, but he clearly knew that he was of age to be classed as a adult human.

"It's like that for everyone?" Niel asked, not giving Kira a second thought that his question might hurt him.

 

Niel stopped outside an dark wood door and then looked on Kira as he waited for and answer, not willing to interrupt because the subject was of interest to him.

"No, some are lucky enough to have homes and can go about their day warmly and calmly. And some are even rich and can do as they like, and no one will question them as to why they did it...why can't you go out? You are an adult right? Who says you can't explore!?"

 

This question Kira knew might hurt Niel, but he despritaly wanted to know why Niel couldn't leave, and who was holding him back

[Anic]

Niel shrugged at Kira's questions before he answered them. "I can go out... I just haven't tried."he looked on the door as he was thinking on to knock on it or not. "I have my books and have never really been the truly adventures type of person." he said and finished with a knock on the door to call on the servants that should be behind the door.

 

Fiel gave the naked neko and disrespectful gaze as he threw some cloths over at it. "Put this on." he said simply and let go of the lech he had placed around the neko's neck. He then turned his back on the poor creature to face his one of his right hand-man.

"Are the preparations done? Everything is set? Everyone that got the invitations will come tonight?" he asked in a somewhat professional voice as he looked on the man with a gaze that demanded other to submit to him.

"Yes, sir." The man said and bowed lowly as he let his gaze wander to the neko that was getting dressed behind Fiel. "Is there anything more?"

"No, it's enough. You may leave." Fiel said and walked up to the window in the room and looked out. "This is going to be fun..."

Kira nodded a bit and looked around. He felt a bit sleepy, but he was easily containing it. He didn't understand why he was sleepy....maybe he had been letting himself get to attached and laid back in this place.....just because he felt safe didn't mean he should let himself become like a domestic house cat....

[Anic]

An old lady opened the door and she gave Niel a both confused and annoyed gaze.

"Yes my lord?" she asked and let her gaze slide over to Kira. "Is there anything you need?" she asked as she stepped out shutting the door closed behind her.

"I... We where wondering if there was any games in this mansion?" Niel asked and gave the old woman a curious gaze. Somehow she didn't seem to be afraid of him.

"Games? My lord... What kind of games?" she asked as her gaze turned suspicious. "If it will involve my girls again I say that you should rethink what you are asking for..." she said as her tone turned a bit angry.

"Your girls again?" Niel asked surprised and even let his expression show. "I've never played any games with the servants." Niel answered truthfully and then let his gaze slide over to Kira that looked tired already.

"Then my lord don't know of it?" the lady asked and gave Niel a closer look. "But still my lord. What kind of games do you want?"

Kira remained silent and his gaze at the ground. He didn't feel like speaking to others that he didn't know. His ears were down and his tail slowly swaying.

[Anic]

"Kima?" Niel said in a slightly careful voice as he tried to address Kira. "What kind of games did we want to play again?" he asked as he truly couldn't remember.

The lady only gave Niel and Kira a strange look. anyone that wasn't innocent enough knew what she was thinking and that was about games for adults.

Kira had understood what the lady was thinking and was disgused by her thoughts.....he wasn't one to find comfort in females......not ever.....

 

"Something like...board games....or card games.....something easy.....and fun...."

 

He even hated speaking to females....they made him feel scared.....

[Anic]

"Easy and fun..." the old lady repeated as she now understood that they weren't asking for any sexual games. "If my Lords give me some time I'll look up if he have anything like that laying around. And I have to beg for your forgiveness Lord Barwosh. I didn't mean to upset you in anyway. It seems like you and your brother are two different people." she said as she bowed and then left a confused Niel and went into the servants quarters.

"What?" Niel asked surprised and gazed at Kira for answers. He didn't understand that lady one bit.

Kira shivered a bit remembering the things that was asked of him while under the care of Fiel. He didn't listen of course...which pissed Fiel off he was sure, but he knew what she meant and looked down, his tail not swaying anymore.

 

"Shall we stand here and wait...?"

 

He asked softly as he looked down

[Anic]

Niel was confused and almost even more confused when he saw Kira's unexplained reaction. Somehow he knew that Fiel had done Kira wrong in some way, he just couldn't figure it out from himself. Maybe he didn't need to know?

"I don't know." Niel and let his gaze wander to the door the lady closed behind her. "But I'm not sure if she will know where we went if we leave now. It won't take that long? She wouldn't let me wait?" Niel asked with a voice full of doubt.

Kira nodded and slightly smiled at Niel. This man...he could tell was diffrent from his brother...it was amazing that they were even related. He yawned a bit, he wasn't sleepy but he just felt like yawning

[Anic]

Niel sighed as he watched the door again. If his brother would have seen him at this moment he would never hear the end of it. A Barwosh should never be told by a servant what to do or to wait. But Niel was not like Fiel, he wasn't even as old as his brother either and the most social he been ever in his life was the last day together with Kira.

Niel was about to open his mouth to say something but was interrupted by the door being opened by the old lady with a chessboard in her hands.

"Will this do my lord?" she asked and held it out towards a surprised Niel.

ira's ears perked up with surprise and quickly he got on all fours and hissed firecly. as e saw the woman adquickly stood up bowing with respect

 

"Please forgive me.....y-you startled me!"

 

He looked at the game and his eyes lit up happily

 

"I love this game!! This is perfect!! Thank you so much ma'am!"

 

Kira softly took the the game and apologized again

 

"Forgive me!"

[Anic]

Niel gave Kira a thoughtful gaze and couldn't help but be amused by his reaction.

"I'm sorry my lords, I didn't mean to startle you." The old lady said as she left the chessboard in Niel's hands and bowed again.

Niel smiled as he looked down on the board and the strange chess pieces.

"I think this will do just fine." He said and looked up on the lady with a thankful nod. "Thank you again." Niel said as a finish before he turned around to leave.

"You are not the slightest like your brother." The lady said in a careful tone before she entered the servants' quarters and closed the door after herself.

"I'm not..." Niel said quietly as he knew she wouldn't hear him anyway. "Let's go to my study." He said loudly and gave Kira one of his rare smiles.

Kira nodded softally and began walking with Niel. He felt embarassed for what he had done, and the way he reacted...but seeing Niel smile the way he did meant he was ok with it....and that it made him kind of laugh mentally, which made Kira feel a bit better

 

"Sorry you saw that...I guess you'd see it sooner or later..."

 

He quietly spoke, embarassed
