Hatterdale and Silverwolf (+18)

By then, Yuu had finished spraying down the entirety of the shop and had resumed his post at the front desk. A few moments later, he witnessed his classmate pass in front of the store again, seemingly in a hurry. The flowers were absent and his shoulders were slumped. -Something that rarely happened to the usually energetic male, thus bringing a bout of worry to Yuu. With another moment of consideration, the dark haired male punched out early for his break, trailing behind Light. No, it wasn't creepy, he was just curious as to what had him so down. It's not called stalking, it's called 'concern.'

Light sits there on a chair that had been in the old playground since he had first found the place. "I can't believe it! Why did this have to happen? She was just starting to get better!" He yells and the tears start to fall "Why?" His shoulders shake uncontrollably. "Mother! Why? Come back Please!!!" Light holds his face in his hands.

At this point, Yuu finally makes the connection between the flowers and his co-worker's distress. Well, colour him sympathetic. The blue eyed man considers sitting down next to the mourning teen for a while, for now just standing a few feet behind the bench where he sat. -There was a chance he could make the situation worse, for it seemed he always did that without trying. However, there was a small chance that the situation would become better, if that were possible, by having a shoulder to cry on. Yuu wasn't keen on his shoulder being soaked in salty tears, but he didn't quite see a good excuse not to act as some sort of comfort. With a sigh, he approached the bench and took a seat next to the light haired teen.

"You know, crying doesn't fix anything..."

Light pulls his hands away and glares at Yuu. "It's none of your concern. Just leave me allowing like you always do will you?" He wipes his face and looks up at the sky. Then as if his body decided to say things about his mom he starts to talk about her. "It was about two years ago that both my mother and father were hit by a drunk truck driver. My father died on impact but mother survived. She was in a coma but alive. And that's the reason I could smile. I worked two jobs to pay the hospital bills and to bring her flowers. The doctors didn't even call me when she died. I went there to give her flowers and she... she...she was gone..." tears start again and this time Light can't stop them. "Sorry, I didn't mean to start crying again."

The ravenette listened silently to the other's tear-garbled rant, nodding when he felt it was necessary. As he witnessed the flood gates open once more, Yuu reached out to awkwardly pat Light on the shoulder. It was the best he could do, or the best he knew how to do rather.

"Don't apologise," he scolded the golden eyed teen without much bite. "Letting it out, is better than holding it in."

Not exactly the most comforting words in the word, for sure, but they'd have to do. He was sympathetic towards Light's loss, of course. How could one not be? It was tragic after all. To lose the people that brought you into the world and showed you how things worked.

Light feels Yuus hand on his shoulder and he smiles a little. "You don't have to be sympathetic of me. I may have lost both my parents but I now they loved me and that's all that matters." His tears slowly stop and he wipes his face over and over. "... As a thank you for lissioning to me I'll treat you to something to eat. It's your break after all." Light says this after he's gotten a hold of himself. He stands up and looks at Yuu smiling his bright smile.

"It's hard not to be sympathetic when someone's blubbering on about how horrible their life has been...," Yuu countered, lifting his hand from the teen's shoulder. The dark haired man nearly let out a sigh of relief when the tears had stopped, though. He very much hated the salt water that poured so carelessly from Light's eyes. Well, perhaps not carelessly, he did have a reason for it this time. At the mention of lunch, Yuu rolled his eyes.

"I can pay for my own meal," he reasoned. "Besides, ethically, it would be wiser to save your money for other things."

He had hinted that the white haired man would be alone from now on and would have to support himself financially. -Perhaps he also had hinted that he'd pay for the meal; oh well.

Light chuckles and says "So you'll pay" he asks with a grin. He starts to walk away and says "if you don't hurry you won't have time to eat, and I've been looking after myself financially for the last two years as well as paying hospital bills. I'm fine." Even though he says that Light is very happy that someone cares, even just a little.

Yuu reluctantly stood from where he had previously been seated, heading after the, seemingly, happier teen in front of him, giving the bench longing glances every so often. It was a very comfortable bench, one to make his list for afternoon naps. Quickly, he matched paces with Light, thinking it nice to talk to someone, even if they're emotionally distressed.

"Where to?" He questioned curiously. There were many places to grab a meal around them and not all of them were completely horrible.

"You choose." Light says not caring. He walks next to Yuu not worrying at all. But even though he shows no pain or sadness when he gets to his dorm he will probably cry all night long. Until rethought he shows a smile.

"Fine, be that way," the ravenette replied, running a hand through his hair in thought. "There's a café not far from here. That sound good to you?"

It was only polite to check and make sure Light had no objections to their destination, even if he'd been given free reign over it. For all he knew, the amber eyed male could hate sweets and coffee. Yuu repressed a shudder at the thought. Anyone who hated such delicacies as the aforementioned treats were insane. -Or, possibly, orthodontists.

At the mention of that cafe Light looked at him in startlement "...It's like you read my mind" he says in delight I love their sweets. And that's the type of thing I need right now. Light watches Yuu run a hand through his hair and woundered when he became so nice. "When did you become so nice? Your usually so mean or should I say irritating." He grins when he says this looking at Yuu hLight starts to think he's actually really hot. Although he doesn't say anything.

"it's a special talent of mine," Yuu jests in a monotone. "I'm not irritating, I just cannot tell lies."

Which was true, he was always brutally honest with people. Of course, he could always not answer them, which he quite often did. It was quite ironic, considering his father lied for a living and he, himself, found it a nasty thing to do. So he just said whatever it was he was thinking about when a question was asked. Now, joking didn't count, he could joke around. However, Yuu was rather bad at joking and so most people took him literally.

Light looks at him with wounder filled eyes. "That's amazing. I would never be able to do that. I try not to lie but when I need to stay away from a topic I usually lie and change the topic. They never hurt anyone though." Light continues to walk and sees the cafe close by. "Come on" he says. Light grabs Yuus hand and runs to the cafe. Where everyone says "Hello Light welcome back."

Yuu pulls a face at the eerily Stepford Wives-like greeting. Nevertheless he says nothing about, only cautiously glancing around at the people I the café as if they'd turn into monsters at any moment. He vaguely noticed that he hadn't let go of Light's hand yet and did so, as not to seem overly friendly. After all, he had a reputation to keep up, whether he liked it or not. Truthfully, the ravenette had only been to this café twice before this visit and had only suggested it because of the food.

"That... was interesting..."

Light smiles at the girls and says "I'm back. A table for two in the back... the special. And also the usual for me and a menu for my friend..." the girls lead them to the back at the golden garden, a place that Light loves to go. He sits in the pure white chair and looks out over the mostly gold garden. It has a little bit of white in it but not much.

The first thing that crossed Yuu's mind as he entered the garden; gaudy. It was quiet though, he could give them that. The azure eyed man took his seat across from Light, accepting the menu with a quick thank you. A quick thank you? Well, for Yuu this meant a nod and an unintelligible mumble. The girl smiled, nodded back and left the two to their conversation. Not that they were having one, but it was polite of her anyway. The ravenette looked over the menu before deciding on what to get. In the end he ordered coffee and a mango infused Mont Blanc and a coffee.

"I take it you come here often?"

"My mother used to bring me here when she was building this garden. They actually made this dinning spot just for me because I love to look out at her work. The owner wanted something gaudy and mom tried to make it better by adding white." Light continues to look at the garden even after they bring him his sweet sunday cakes and his strawberry banana smoothie.

"I see," Yuu replied, glancing around the garden again. "She had hor-good, good taste."

Hopefully his mistake wouldn't be caught. It was the wrong day for him to attempt to lie, as it were. Soon after, the ravenette's order was placed in front of him and another noncommittal nod was given in thank you to the waitress. This time she just rolled her eyes and made a similar noise, as if to mock him. Yuu ignored it, indignantly dumping extra sugar into the coffee he was given, as if it would somehow insult her.

"You don't have to lie. And this wasn't her taste. The owner forced her to stain the flowers she had planted gold. She didn't want to but had to. So she did. She left a few their natural color though... the white ones." Light then started to eat. He took three bits of pancakes and then a big gulp of smoothie. All the while he looks out at the garden. "When I look at this garden I see the flower original colors.not the gold."

"So instead, all of this would've been white?" Yuu questioned, gesturing with a hand to the gaudy flowers behind him. Honestly, he wondered what sort of drugs the owner had been on to want something like this. The gold wouldn't have been bad if countered with shell whites and ocean blues here and there. Well, the white was there, but not nearly enough of it shown through the golden 'paradise.'

"She had to be crazy to do this; the owner, I mean."

"Ya" Light says happily "and no not all of it would have been white. Some would have been pink, red, blue and even my favorite the Silver Moon Rose. It is so beautiful and amazing." Light continues to eat and sip at his smoothie.

Yuu nods in understanding, finally digging into his Mont Blanc. The food was delicious as usual, everything made to the highest standards. He casually takes a swig of is overly sweet coffee, forcing himself to swallow it and not gag.

"Sounds beautiful," he chocked out, wrinkling his nose in distaste. He washed down the horrible taste with a less sweet, incredibly sweet, sweet. Thank goodness there was always cake to save the day.

Light nods in assent. "It really was" he says while eating. I loved it into they forced her to do this to it. Light finishes eating and stands up. "I should be going" he says " I still have work to do." At that he leaves paying for both of them.

-Yuu makes a mental note to pay Light back for the meal, before walking out shortly after him. He waved in goodbye to the waitresses and other staff members, before heading back to the shop. He was greeted with an angry boss and a load of work being dumped on him. However, he was pleased he could brighten the white haired male's mood at least a little bit. It felt nice to be nice to someone?
