「viviD
Red eyes stared and stared at the list. The List- where you will find out how much you scored, what number you placed, and who kicked your ass to the top. When he took a look at it, his eyes automatically flickered to the number 1. Did he finally beat— ah. 1. Watanabe, Katsu 2. Wataru, Tsuyoshi ...FU—!! "Dammit." He cursed, eyes glaring at the list as if it offended him greatly. In a way, it did. "The bastard's the first again!" Maybe if he glared at it hard enough, it'll blow into combustion? This really pisses him off. It was the start of the second year, the results of the mock exams posted (already evaluating their study skills). Again and again, everything started the first year. The silver-head thought that he would be the best as always, number 1 in everything but when he saw the results of the entrance exam, he was gobsmacked. For the first time in his life; he was second. Second. All went worst when he noticed that the person who beat him was in the same class as the awesome him, more popular and became the ace of the soccer team! Always, always him. Watanabe. The obstacle on his path to greatness! Already in three days that he had declared Katsu as his nemesis, his greatest rival. Everyone in school knows that they compete in almost everything. (They knew that it was only one-sided.) Why did they like this Katsu guy more than the amazing Tsuyoshi?! (His ego was so bruised.) Speak of the devil, there he is. The second top scorer saw him. His rival. Surrounded by squealing girls. Fangirls. Ugh. Their eyes met. Tsuyoshi glared at him, determination was all he felt. He wanted to beat him. He desired to beat him. Despite that his rival made everything he threw his way so easy to kick away, it made him more determined. He will bow down the might him! This he swear! He walked away, almost stomping out after he made a face at Katsu like a little kid. The silver boy grumbled under his breath, shoulders a little slump. He seems to be sulking (he wasn't! he totally wasn't!) about the results and everything about Watanabe Katsu. "Gaaaah!" He burst out, messily ruffling his hair with both of his hands as if he was frustrated. "You batter watch out, Watanabe!" He glared at the sky, shook his fist in the air. "I'm definitely going to beat you next time!"
b.lueeyes
He scarcely payed any attention to the screeching girls at his side, only just enough to make it seem like he was polite and interested in conversation. The day was going to be long, and he didn't quite want to wear himself out just yet, with girls no less. Dark blue eyes practically slid up to look further down the corridor, where he just knew- -Ah. There he was. Wataru Tsuyoshi; his face twisted with a glare that, if looks could kill, would probably burn the poor piece of paper alive. His eyes widened just a little as he realised then what he was looking at. The girls beside him noticed his look and followed his eye line to Tsuyoshi, their expressions brightening. Katsu tuned them out as they began to talk and flutter about, giggling to each other. Instead, he let his other hand fall into his pocket as he just let himself look over the soccer player. It had been just over a year since he'd started at this school, taken the faculty by storm and launched himself to the top of the academic statistics. Since he'd become the star striker of their school soccer team, and since he'd been swarmed with admirers (both female and male alike, he might add). But more importantly; it was just over a year since he'd laid eyes on Tsuyoshi. The dog who had been snapping at his heels from the start. Katsu understood it, he really did; the fact that he used to be the star student, the most popular, the best; and now he wasn't. Jealousy was a fickle thing, though, wasn't it? 'Yes, that it is,' Katsu thought to himself as the boy lifted his head, and their eyes met. Katsu couldn't help but lift his hand out of his pocket and give a short little wave and a nice smile, his lips curving up just so. The weight of that glare...Katsu realised just what he just have done this time for that to happen, and he couldn't help the swell of satisfaction in his chest. Beat him again, did he? Perfect. He had to admit, he rather liked beating him, over everybody else. He loved to win; and he always did. When the other boy stalked off, sending him a childish look, he gave a chuckle, and pushed his hair back over his shoulder. "Mah, let's check the scores, shall we? See what's got Wataru so worked up." The girls tagged behind him, tittering and giggling. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes, keeping his eye on Tsuyoshi's back before he turned out of his sight. Another reason he didn't pay attention to the girls; they didn't interest him. But...he couldn't say he didn't enjoy messing with them once in a while. Katsu squared his shoulders and turned to look at the list, stopping as he reached it. He had to lean down just a little to be eye level with it. He blinked once, and then broke into a small but charming smile. "Oh, that's what." He said with a small amount of pity in his tone that he knew just got them going. "He's always so disappointed, I almost feel bad for him." He looked down the corridor again, and sighed. "Ah well, it can't be helped." And it really couldn't; because there was no way that Katsu would ever be giving up his place. If it ever happened...well, it wouldn't, would it? He was first, the best. And that's where he'd stay. 「viviD
"That stupid jerky asshole." He grumbled, sulkily (he wasn't sulking, goddamit!) as he continued to glare at nothing. How was he able to do everything so perfect? Tsuyoshi worked his ass off almost everyday because of that Watanabe bastard. He wanted to shove it in that bastard's face that he, Tsuyoshi, will take his place even if it took him years as long as he could beat the bastard just this once. It aggravated Tsuyoshi that Katsu was too perfect, so flawless. The albino wanted to scratch him with dirt, to make him see that he wasn't perfect, he wasn't untouchable. That he was human. And to do so, he had to beat him! (And especially to recover his ego and pride. And he was much more awesome than that- that jerk! Geh, he was running out of awesome insults.) Then his ringtone rang. A message. He took his phone out and flipped his phone. YOU HAVE ONE MESSAGE! From: Mom Tsu-chan! Tsu-chan! Tsu-chan! How are you doing in school? (●´∀`●) You don't have soccer practice today, right? I'll come pick you up! ^_− ☆ Tomiko-chan wants to see you and I told her you're in school, we had a conversation and well, it led to me coming to get you along with her! I hope you don't mind! ヽ(・∀・)ノ Are you in class right now? Don't skip, okay? Momma loves you! Take care, honey! Don't get in trouble or I'll punish you! ☆~(ゝ。∂) As usual her message were all filled with emoticons and so... embarrassing. But what the hell is up with the end of the message? Brr, he was reminded that his Mom could be... very scary when provoke. Everyone were all pussies including her own family when she's in that mode. Smiling with that dark aura. Briiiiiiiing! Oh shi—! Time for class! He ran like hell. . . He was out of breath when he entered his first class: Math. His eyes coincidentally landed on a certain person who was number one. Already sitting in a seat and still surrounded by girls, their eyes met once again. This time, Tsuyoshi glared and stuck his tongue at him. He immediately took a seat, seats away from his arch-nemesis as much as possible, just as their teacher entered and told the still standing students to sit down. Time for the class to start. . . How the hell did he end up sitting next to his rival again?! 'What the fuck!' He screamed inside his head. WHY HIM?! Was fate mocking him or something?! Was She messing with him, knowing that he hates his rival with burning passion of a thousand suns. Now it's like this. Once they were all sat, the teacher said those words (that were dreadful to the albino when realizes something); "Before we start class, I want all of you sitting in your chairs in alphabetic order starting with your surnames." Now he was on the back, he realized how dreadful those words are when he took a seat beside him and started to noticed their surnames. Watanabe. Wataru. His R was the closest to Katsu's N. He had gaped, was shocked beyond the core, was screaming in his head like right now. 'Why meeeeeeeee!' He cried (manly) in his mind. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy—! In the end, he got detention from not paying attention after his name was called over 10 times. Tsuyoshi was too busy screaming in his thoughts to hear it. . . After school where Tsuyoshi headed to the detention room, he had forgotten one important detail. ... A car was parked halfway to the entrance of the school, looking as if waiting for someone. The driver and the passenger behind the back seats are definitely waiting. The one driving tapped their finger on the wheel, hands gripping it tightly. "Moooo~oom! Where's Tsu-nii?" The passenger asked, whining like a little girl in which the passenger was a little girl with long ink black hair that ended up in her waist and cute pigtails. She jutted her lower lip in a adorable pout. What was more notable was her bright red eyes that was suspiciously looked familiar. Her driver who was obviously that little girl's mother brushed away a strand of her hair that had similar color from the little girl's. The mother slightly narrowed her mesmerizing bright sapphire eyes and answered her daughter's question, "I don't know, Tomiko-chan." Under her breath she mumbled, "Where is he? Did he get in trouble? I told him not to, that brat." She did not like any tardiness. The little girl - Tomiko (now where did we hear that?) - started to get impatient little by little, she rolled one of the car's window down and stuck her head. She pointed at a random student and yelled, "Mister! Do you know where's my Tsu-nii?!" She didn't know that the student was the rival of her brother Tsuyoshi. Watanabe Katsu. b.lueeyes
Katsu had wandered into the classroom a few minutes before the bell, moving towards one of the window seats, deciding that if he was going to be surrounded by raving women, he might as well be comfortable. He turned in his seat, his back against the wall as she sat and chatted with them, smiling and chuckling occasionally. Some of them, he had to admit, were rather cute. Cute being the obstinate term. He didn't like cute, necessarily. In those who he found himself thinking about, during the long, sometimes cold nights in his lonely apartment, there was always some kind of unique factor about them. Being in Australia for all those years had taken a toll on his preferences; they were must less judgmental over there. Of everything. So, he found the exotic, stranger colouring rather appealing. None of these girls had it; that was for sure. But that didn't stop Katsu from toying with them a little. It was a bit of a...hobby of his, one could say; leading people on only to back off and see just how confused they got. He never strayed too far, he'd never had a reason to. The loud tolling of the bell met his ears and he looked up almost in surprise, before he smiled and looked back to the girls, bringing his hand up under his chin, leaning his elbow on his palm as he continued his conversation with one of the girls on something or other. He had to admit, the day was fine as it was so far; yet it got even better when a certain someone came practically sliding through the doorway. Katsu's eyes strayed to the door as the albino graced it's frame, and once again their eyes met. Red on blue. He smiled as more than a few metaphors entered his head, and he looked away from Tsuyoshi, deciding his daydreaming could wait, and returned to his conversation, attempting and succeeding to sound enthralled. Soon after Tsuyoshi entered, so did their sensei, who greeted the class with very little enthusiasm, but much politeness. If Katsu recalled, she was one of the better mathematics teachers here; good, at least the content would not be as simple as it was last year. The girls moved away from his desk and he waved, turning to sit properly in his seat, his cheek still propped up on his hand. When the teacher spoke, he felt his like for this particular teacher increase tenfold. Alphabetical order. Oh, this was going to be an interesting year, most definitely. Because not only was his name to the end of the alphabet, which meant the back of the room, but it also meant that his last name was getting him closer to the pale spitfire Wataru. He looked over to Tsuyoshi just to see his reaction, holding back his amused smirk at the sheer shock on his face, the insidiousness. Katsu had noticed rather early on that Tsuyoshi didn't bother hiding the majority of his reactions; if he was shocked and annoyed, he showed it. When everyone started to move, the soccer star stood, took hold of his bag and moved towards the back of the room, before he took careful attention to not paying Wataru any mind. He did notice however, the blatant ignorance to his name, and with a grim kind of satisfaction he found his dear 'rival' (as Tsuyoshi seemed to think of him that way, it only seemed fair the title was returned), had earned himself a detention on the first day back. If things kept up like this, it was going to be a great year. . . Katsu was almost relieved that they didn’t have soccer practice on the first day back, or tomorrow even. Training for the up-and-coming season was to start on Wednesday, and being Monday…well, it was a good thing he had slept in this morning; else he wouldn’t have been able to stand it this morning. By-passing the majority of the girls in favour for excusing that he had to get home, that it had been a long day, he exited the school building with a small smile. Truly, while yes that was one reason, the school days wasn’t all that tiring while it was somewhat long. His main reason was he needed a smoke; after all the time he had spent being able to smoke, he hadn’t quite weaned himself off them enough to be at school…he had been about ready to try and find to escape meetings to get to the roof for a cig, but had decided against it. Couldn’t be missing meetings on the first day, now could he? Katsu walked with a moderate deliverance, his long hair pulled back loosely, resting against his collar, his white scarf hanging around his neck. It was getting towards the end of autumn; starting to get a bit chilly, and he was rather used to Australian weather…preferred it even. He was just contemplating that thought when he heard a sharp voice call from across the pavement, and he looked around for a moment before he found where it had come from. He spotted her almost immediately; something about her seemed rather familiar. Dark hair, pale skin and bright red eyes, almost like rubies, they were rather intense. She couldn't be older than grade school, fifth year at the latest, but he thought younger even. The car however, was a rather impressive sports car; money, obviously. “Ah, me?” Katsu gave her a smile and gave a short jog over, leaning down to the car, placing one hand on his hip. “I’m sorry, Miss, who were you after?” He asked, smiling gracefully, his dark ponytail falling over his shoulder a little as he got a better look at her. Those eyes really were familiar...
「viviD
Now that Tomiko looked more closely at this person, she stared and stared then declared hotly, "I don't like you!" She pouted, the situation seemed familiar, red eyes smoldering with dislike. (De ja vu?) Just like- Just like— "Now, now, Tomiko-chan. That's rude." The mother scolded gently then sighed. "I swear, you're taking up too much from your brother." By now, she had rolled down the passenger seat's (beside her seat) window. Tsuki looked at the student who looked the same age as her son, apologetically. "I'm sorry about that, dear. She just loves her brother and wants to be just like him. She doesn't mean that." Hmmm. Now that she looked at him more closely, he looked somewhat similar to what her son described his 'eternal rival'. First though; she had to ask if he knew where Tsuyoshi is. She didn't need to ask if he knew who Tsuyoshi is. Tsuki knew that he was popular, even back then everyone whispered about Tsuyoshi wether good or bad, they knew him. And also judging by the look from the other people at this boy, especially the hear-stuck look in almost every girl's eyes, that he too, is popular. "Do you know where Wataru Tsuyoshi is?" At the same time, "Hey, you! What are you doing?" Tsuyoshi pointed at Katsu, dramatically. Bright red eyes narrowed as he growled. Weren't he was supposed to be in detention? "Tsu-nii!" The little bundle of black and red jumped out of the car and tackled her dearest brother, whom she hugely adore, in a hug. "Yo, Tomiko! You're off the hook for now since your school starts tomorrow." He grinned at his little sister. So that's why the little girl's eyes were familiar. She had the same eyes as her brother, both bright and strong. "You're late, Tsu-chan~. You didn't get in trouble, did you?" Oh, back to the situation at hand, Tomiko chirped out. Eyes closed, smiling with a menacing aura that both of the siblings straightened. Uwoh! Let it be known that she really, really didn't like tardiness. "So you two know each other, huh? Are you friends?" She added. Tsuyoshi realized that he was there. He was there and saw everything. Especially— "Don't call me Tsu-chan!" He snapped, flushing red, eyes flickering at his rival to his mother, back and forth. A habit when he was embarrassed. Oh god, he didn't sign up for this! He should have paid more attention to the teacher. (It was too shocking!) He was supposed to be in detention but it seems the teachers were too busy, none of them had the time to 'babysit' him. It was always like this the first week of school. He had hurried because he remembered it after one of the teacher said that his detention was on-hold. Now look at what happened. He knows his mother was slowly getting pissed; he just didn't imagine this situation! "He's my enemy!" "I don't like him!" Tsuyoshi and Tomiko said respectively, similar bright red eyes shared the same dislike in their eyes. If Tsuki was in an anime, she would have sweatdrop at how similar they are. And, oh! She remembered now thanks to her son. The color of his hair and eyes. His hair. The grace that he has. The face that she saw when Tsu-chan gave her his class picture and pointed at a particular student. This was definitely Watanabe Katsu; the boy that made her son much more livelier. She had to ask who he was talking about and what his new proclaimed 'rival' of his (which was really silly, oh well. He was still young.) that riled him up after a few days of their one-sided rivalry in her dear son's first year. She wanted to thank him secretly for making her son's eyes brighter. And oh my, even before taking the job as a lawyer, Wataru Tsuki had eyes of a hawk. She was perceptive and it was thanks to that she become a respected lawyer of the law. One thing didn't go unnoticed. Their eyes. The way they looked at each other. It wasn't obvious but it was there. No doubt, it was similar, the same. She subtly smiled. What's more they didn't even noticed, she suspected that Tomiko noticed it too. Her little girl was her daughter after all. Well now, she had to play that part. Right? Her smile went mischievous. "You must be Katsu-kun, Tsu-chan—" "Don't call me that!" "—talks about you, how he wanted to beat you to number two." Sapphire eyes glistened with hidden mirth. "Why don't you have dinner with us? I would love to get to know you more!" Tsuki only ignored her son's sputtering protests. Her son was so dense, he just had to inherit that from his father. Oh well. More amusing and cute. "But, Mom—!" His protests died inside his throat. Instead, he gulped in fear. She had that smile plastered on again. "You were tardy, young man. Besides, I wanted to 'your rival' more, Tsu-dear. Consider this your punishment. Now let's go!" There was no way she was going to change her mind and there was also no way she would let Watanabe Katsu go. Tomiko claimed the passenger seat next to their mom and had already entered it. Tsuyoshi could only grumble under his breath as he walked to the backseat and entered, but not before he mumbled of "let's go" to his arch-nemesis when the albino was near. Since his little sister claimed the passenger seat (she could be just as stubborn as him, the trait they took from their Mother's side.) that meant that he had to seat next to - shudder - him. Mom wouldn't let him escape if he rejected (in which Tsuyoshi hoped for. With his mom here... well...), that meant more misery. Luck was so not in his side today. b.lueeyes
To say that Katsu was shocked at the girl’s reaction to him…was an understatement. He blinked in surprise and his eyebrows raised under his fringe at the girl, and he felt almost a little snuffed. When the girl’s mother interrupted the girl, he couldn’t help but think; just who was this girl? Talking to him like that, it didn’t matter if she was only in elementary school, it was disconcerting. “Ah, that’s perfectly fine ma’am, I understand,” He said, pulling back a little to take a look at the mother, smiling with a simple, but understanding smile. The mother had a different kind of aura about her, he almost felt uncomfortable under that gaze; it was calculating…but still somehow warm. He wasn’t used to something like that, but he kept his cool. He wasn’t going to crack that easy. “Do you know where Wataru Tsu-“ was all he heard before another voice cut in. A very familiar one. “Hey, you! What are you doing?” Katsu straightened, blinking twice as he turned to see Tsuyoshi standing there, a look of loathing on his face. If he remembered the day as he did, and his memory never failed him, then Tsuyoshi was meant to be in detention for the next hour or so. Then again…it was first day back. Katsu was about to say something, just having opened his mouth, when a blur of black and red cut across his vision and suddenly all he could think about was how close she must be to Wataru she must be if he was letting her- “Tsu-nii!” -Oh. Oh, that made sense. His sister. Katsu stood back for a moment, absorbing the knowledge of the situation. If this was his sister; the woman was his mother. Perhaps that was why he was uncomfortable with her; she had this almost eerie kind of aura around her, he could feel her eyes on him, it was strange… He knew some women liked high-school boys, but really? “We’re in the same class,” Katsu replied to his sister, simply giving the same charming, almost content smile to Wataru. “In fact, we sit next to each other.” Once thing about that entire conversation stood out at him…and he couldn't help but store it away. That nickname…not only was it derogatory, but…the striker couldn’t deny, the blush it put on Tsuyoshi’s cheeks was worth the yelling he did about it. Katsu held up his hands to the siblings at their words, and gave a small chuckle. Those eyes; how could he not have noticed that in Tsuyoshi’s sister when he’d spent so much time thinking about them anyway? There was a distinct similarity between the two; with only one major difference. Their hair. Katsu couldn’t help but wonder about that. Was his father an albino? Or was it alternate genetics? Either way; now that he was looking at the similarity of black versus white on that skin tone, he found he preferred the snowy white. Definitely. Tsuyoshi with black hair would just be…not as enthralling. The soccer star found himself invited to dinner; he had to admit, Wataru’s mother was rather forward with her words. However, even with Tsuyoshi spluttering behind him, he couldn’t help but say yes. “I would love to, ma’am, thank you for the invitation. Really, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He gave a small, sincere bow. He wasn’t even kidding; it was a pleasure to meet them. Somehow, he had a feeling that this was going to end up being far more interesting than the usual dinner in his apartment. Much more interesting. Katsu climbed into the back seat from the opposite side at Tsuyoshi’s words, settling his long legs easily into the back seat of the rather expensive sports car. He sat back and turned his head to smile at Wataru, just a small, curious smile. But there was a glint in his eyes that was one Tsuyoshi had never seen on him before. It was mischievous, tricksy even. “So, detention let out early did they?” He asked curiously, settling his back against the sleek upholstery. 「viviD
“What did he mean by detention, sweety?” Tsuki questioned, with a tone that screamed that he was in big trouble and guh, scary! She was smiling, he could see it in the rear mirror, they were on the road to home; it was supposed to be peaceful as much as possible (Tsuyoshi decided to ignore his rival's presence in the car), but that motherfu— “Well?” Answer me, punk. went unsaid. Tsuyoshi squeaked (he didn't!) in fear (he wasn't scared of his mom! Not at all; really!), if he were in an anime; he'd be sweating nervously right now. He whipped his head to glare at Watanabe, his rival of bastard. “It's his fault!” He cried out, pointing at the blue one in childish accusation. “I was going to my new seat but this asshole had to be my seatmate!” Tsuki rolled her eyes at her eldest child who was acting like a little kid. She couldn't blame him though, she was like that once. Despite having his father's looks, he definitely had her personality when she was at his age. “Let me guess, it was in alphabetic order by surname, you didn't noticed how close our surname is to Katsu-kun's. After that, you were in so much shock; you didn't hear the teacher calling for you, that's how you received detention.” She said sarcastically, knew that she hit the jackpot when her son spluttered in embarrassment. It was so easy reading the situation when Tsuyoshi was definitely a mini-Tsuki in terms of personality. “It's still his fault!” He insisted, pointing at his rival again and acted as if he wasn't there. Tomiko chimed in her agreement. The little girl had her brother's veins flowing; they didn't like Watanabe from the first meeting. Their mother could see a from each of her child's reason of dislikes. Tsuyoshi for getting beaten from number one to number two. As for Tomiko... Tomiko popped her head to glare at Watanabe, blew a raspberry then went back to sit properly. The sapphire-eyed woman took a quick glance at her little daughter, she had the her to chuckle. Her little girl was pouting with her cheeks puffed out, looking like a puffer fish. Not to mention, the jealous look in her eyes. The little red-eyed girl inherited her sharpness and perceptiveness, except it was more amateur- a weak version of her's but no doubt when Tomiko grows older and learns more, she'll definitely have her hawk-like eyes. The red-eyed girl was jealous of Katsu. 'It's not surprising.' She thinks. 'Tomiko-chan loves her brother but he pays more attention to Katsu-kun because of their rivalry in Tsu-chan's part, concluding that Katsu-kun's the one Tsu-chan's spending more time with rather than her.' Tsuki ignored Tsuyoshi's one-sided squabble in the back, trying to get a rise out of Katsu just so he can have a reason to fight him. She smiled. Things got a little bit interesting. “Oh and Tsu-chan. We'll talk later.” Tsuyoshi paled. . . On the way to Wataru household, Tsuyoshi continued trying to get a rise of Katsu but failed, ignored Katsu again and sulked. Tsuki initiated a conversation with Katsu with different topics, still driving quite expertly while Tomiko was busy watching the view through the window. “We're here!” She announced to the passengers inside the car, stopping in their house's car park. Their Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. was a two storey building, large but still smaller than a mansion. It was homey though and the neighborhood was peaceful. “Finally!” Tsuyoshi rushed out of the car as quickly as he can, his sister cheered and went out. Their mother rolled her eyes at them at their antics. She unlocked the gate and then the door to their home and went in, taking their shoes off. “Akihiko-kun! We're home~!” Tsuki said cheerfully receiving a calm 'Welcome back'. A white silver hair that was exactly similar to Tsuyoshi except a bit longer and messier with red eyes that matched the siblings, face more gentle compared to the sharpness of the other two came out from another room nearest from were they are. Wataru Akihiko. Tsuki's husband. Tsuyoshi and Tomiko's father. How obvious who Tsuyoshi inherited his looks from with the exception of structure of his eyes, cheekbones and the sharpness of the face, he inherited that from his mom. Tomiko inherited the structure of her eyes from their grandmother (their dad's mother.) and inherited their dad's nose and the gentleness. Their dad's personality was different from the three of them. Calm red eyes looked at the extra person with a welcome look. “Hello there, it's been a while since we had a guest. Welcome to our home, Watanabe Katsu-san.” Akihiko said politely with a small smile. “Ah. How do I know your name?” He added, eyes glancing at his son, “Tsuyoshi talked about you a lot, although it's always about beating you.” Tsuyoshi flushed and grumbled something under his breath. Tsuki moved to hug and kiss her husband, their two children making a gagging face well that is until the sapphire-eyed woman smiled at them. They had a 'oh shit' expression on their face now. “I'm going to my room!” Tsunayoshi scrambled to go towards the stairs, greeting his father as he passed by and glared at Katsu once more, sticking his tongue out before going back to his current mission. “I'm going to my room too!” Tomiko followed suit to her brother and just like him, blew another raspberry at him and back to going her room. The parents sweatdrop and turned back to their guest. “I'm going to cook then. Make yourself at home.” Akihiko shot their guest another small smile before going back to the room he went out. “Take a seat and wait, Katsu dear.” She led him to the other side, in front of the kitchen room had a bigger entrance than the kitchen, judging by the furniture in the room, it was their living room. Her smile went into a impish smirk, “Stay there, I'll show you pictures that you'll really want to see~.” With that she left to go get... a certain photo album. b.lueeyes
Katsu could swear that it was almost painful to hold back his laughter. This was absolute gold! Wataru Tsuyoshi; who knew he was so scared of the big bad mama-bear that sat in the front seat? The soccer star sat there, observing the conversation, his brow furrowing as he held up his hands and put on an innocent face, speaking when even he knew no one was going to be listening. "Ma-ah, it wasn't my fault you weren't listening." Tsuyoshi's mother...he had to admit; from her conversation, he could tell that she definitely had an insight into her son. To him, it was strange to even see such a thing. A mother who was so in tune with her child that they knew what was happening and how it had happened, without barely even a word. Katsu couldn't help the small sprig of jealousy that surfaced within his chest, but he quickly quenched it as he listened to them speak. He did have that relationship. Just not with a parent. He contemplated this as he ignored Tsuyoshi's attempts to get a rise out of him, his hand absently coming up under his chin. His gaze was just about to turn to the window when he was confronted by just how obnoxious Wataru's sister was. Katsu gave her a wide birth, his brow furrowing as he looked at her, almost in shock at the scorn. Really? Definitely grade school; no way she's above the fourth year. He sat back against the comfortable leather interior and crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow that said, 'If your brother can't defeat me, what makes you think you can?' Tomiko left it alone soon after, and Katsu was able to witness with curiosity and some disturbing anger even as Tsuyoshi paled at the idea of so much as speaking with his mother. Yes, this would be much more interesting than dinner at his apartment could ever be. . . He had to admit; Tsuyoshi's mother was curteous; she knew how to make conversation. It made him wonder her job description; obviously something that would warrant wealth, and probably needed intelligence (you never knew these days). She was a confident woman; someone he knew he wouldn't want to cross...and that was just his first impression. Katsu himself had always been fairly good at reading people; he did it all the time. Watched and waited and learned. That's how he knew just how to push Tsuyoshi's buttons in just the right way to get him worked up. It was fun, he would admit that. But no more fun than with Tsuyoshi. So he would have to watch Mrs Wataru. Carefully. As they pulled up on the double story complex, Katsu knew his suspcions were correct. Oh, Tsuyoshi was loaded alright; perhaps even more than his father...he rethought that. His father was one of the wealthiest men in Japan; not that many people knew to associate him with the infamous Minister Itaru Watanabe. In a few weeks, he supposed that wouldn't matter; the world would know anyway. Katsu climbed out of the car nonchelantly, but with a curious and graceful smile on his face as he turned to once again thank Mrs Wataru for inviting him to dinner. Tsuyoshi certainly seemed anxious to get inside, and he supposed so was he. "Thank you once again for inviting me; you have a lovely home," he told her as they came through the door. He took off his shoes and decided to leave his bag with them, knowing he wouldn't need it. He did, however, sneak his phone into his pocket. It never left his side anyway. Katsu stared for a moment as the man they called 'Akihiko' came through the door. Suddenly, the Wataru sibling's exotic looks made sense. This man was clearly somewhat of a foreign emissary. Or, he was blessed with unfortunate genetics for someone completely Japanese. He bowed elegantly, greeting the man with a kind smile. He was a handsome man; Katsu would give him that. If Tsuyoshi grew up to be anything like him...well, that would be completely fine. He was about to speak about the man's greeting, but was interrupted calmly. He closed his mouth and nodded, a sly, almost mischevious smile coming to his face. "Ah, well; that's understandable then. I didn't know you talked about me so much." He said easily, almost as if it was natural. Just from the look on Tsuyoshi's face, he knew this was going to be a very good night. Katsu was tempted to call him by his mother's little nickname, but decided against it. He could do that later, for now, he'd just enjoy the moment. Tsuyoshi nodded in thanks to Mr Wataru, Akihiko, and followed Mrs Wataru into the living room. "Once again, really; thank you for your hospitality, Mrs Wataru; I, well, I would love to see some pictures," He told her sincerely, if with some hesitance in his mind, as he moved to sit down on one of the (cosy, very comfortable) sofa's. Katsu looked around the space for a while, breathing out deeply as she left the room. What would she want to show him? That smile...it was once again something that slightly unnerved him. He had never known a mother to be so...playful and almost dominant over her own children. Then again; it wasn't as if he could talk much. He was like that all the time. And, well; his mother didn't teach him much, so he didn't quite know what it would be like to have a mother who was there. 'Stop thinking, Katsu,' He told himself as he looked around the living space, the sound of feet upstairs and gentle movements in the kitchen filling his ears. 'Now is not the time to be thinking of such things.' "Mrs Wataru," He spoke as she reentered the room, holding a rather...thick, leather bound photo album. "If I may ask, just what is your line of work? Your home is rather impressive, it's beautiful, truly."
「viviD
“Gaaah, I hate that guy. Stupid Watanabe!” Tsuyoshi cursed, angrily opening the door to his room and had promptly gotten attacked in the face. “Whoa!” He held his attacker in his hands that licked him and continued licking him in the face. Wait… Licking? “Chi-chan! I miss you too, baby girl!” ‘Chi-chan’ barked in response. …Barked? When his attacker stopped licking him ‘to death’, Tsuyoshi moved his ‘attacker’ away from close to his face. Beady eyes blinked at him innocently, tongue lolling out of its’ mouth, panting enthusiastically. “You’re getting heavier, don’t grow up too fast, Chi-chan.” He clicked his tongue at his golden retriever, again, she responded in a bark. “You were waiting for me huh, you really miss me that much, girl?” Tsuyoshi grinned at his precious dog; her eyes went crisscrossed, scrunched her noise and then shook her head. Laughing, he set her down gently, in which she ran and went back to settle in her previous position; his bed. “We have a guest, alright? Mom will get mad if you cause trouble.” He said to her as he moved around to change his clothes. He shot her a mischievous grin, “But if you want to trouble our visitor then be my guest and go all out!” Chi tilted her head, making a sound that dogs do on a daily basis especially when they were confused. “Arf!” “That’s my girl!” . . Tsuki had to admit, the boy whom Tsuyoshi disliked with all his being was good with words; polite and knew what to say. My, her son did pick well. She sat next to him and answered his question, putting the photo book in her lap, “Thank you for the compliment, dear. I’m a lawyer; a Civil Rights lawyer but it’s my secondary career.” She didn’t look at him, opened the cover page of the book in her lap, “foremost, a Government lawyer. I know that you’re his son, I met him several times at work.” She smiled at him, warm and motherly. Accepting. “No worries! Let’s talk about something else, shall we? Like…” Tsuki tapped her bottom lip; pretending to think. “Tsu-chan~!” This time, her warm smile went something that was mysterious. “I know how you really feel about him, Katsu-kun. I approve, take care of him, ‘kay?” Then her eyes went cold and she smiled the smile that made people putty in her hands, “I know you’re a good kid but that doesn’t mean I’ll let you hurt him, I will end you if you do, Katsu-kun.” Nothing changed except the atmosphere around her and her eyes. In a second, she went back to her usual self as if she didn’t do something surprising. “Now~ Let me show you our family photo book~.” She flipped the header page ‘The beginning of the precious Wataru Family moments, Part 1.’ With a picture of a young Hanako Tsuki and beside her was her husband; Wataru Akihiko. The young Tsuki who looked to be in high school judging by her school uniform, she had a huge grin in her face, making a victory sign in the camera with her other hand fisted on Akihiko’s collar, he was facing a camera as well but slightly bent down thanks to Tsuki, he looked like he didn’t if he should smile or not. It looked like he was having trouble smiling. Her eyes softened at that. “Did you know? I had the same attitude as Tsu-chan back then. I was also number two when high school started and I didn’t like it.” She reminisced, “So I tried beating the number one, who took what supposed to be mine. At that time, we were rivals though I’m the only one who saw us being such; he looked acted like a doofus to me at that time.” Tsuki smirked, “I didn’t except that in the future, we’d get married and have kids.” She continued flipping the pages, to their dates, their wedding, then their anniversaries; she stopped at a certain picture taken in the hospital. The Tsuki in the picture was holding a baby, her first-born, she had a smile of joy and sapphire eyes twinkled, looking at her new born little albino, it was taken beside her and it could only mean that Akihiko took a picture of the mother and son. There was also a picture of a sleeping Akihiko in the chair with a sleeping baby Tsuyoshi in his arms, secretly took by Tsuki. “This is Tsu-chan.” The sapphire-eyed woman whispered lovingly, fingers traced on the Tsuyoshi’s baby face. Someone took a picture of both Tsuki and Akihiko with baby yawning Tsuyoshi between them, they had proud smiles on their faces. She spent the time looking at the picture with love in her eyes, because it was that time they had realized that they were parents now; when they laid their first child in the arms of the mother. “Oh! Sorry, Katsu dear. I got distracted.” Tsuki smiled apologetically at him, returning back to flipping the pages until it landed on that. Pictures of Tsuyoshi when he was 3 years old; wearing a dress. There were pictures that were taken when he wasn’t looking, distracted playing but there were also pictures that the albino was posing as a girl in different dresses. His age in the pictures seems to range 3 years old to 6 years old. “Isn’t he so cute~?” Tsuki squealed, smiling happily with a hint of mischievousness. “I wanted a girl at first but Tsuyoshi turned out to be a boy, it was alright for me; I decided to do this instead! He’s a bit of a feminine when he was a child.” Then she pouted, “But Akihiko made me stop when he was six.” With one last mourning look, she put the book in Katsu’s lap. “Take some pictures in your phone; I’m sure you’ll know what to do with it.” Sapphire eyes stared at blue eyes with an intense knowing gaze, Tsuki winked at him. “Go get ‘im, tiger~! I know you’ll do~.”
b.lueeyes
As soon as she spoke the word 'government,' Katsu became just a little bit defensive. He sat up straighter in his seat, his shoulders square as he looked her over. Lawyer...and a government one at that. He should have known, the perception, even her disposition... How could he have not noticed that. "If you know about my paternity, then you should understand that I would rather not talk about it." He told her before she moved on, and let his hair fall over his shoulder as he leant forward, suspicious, but curious as to what she had to say. “I know how you really feel about him, Katsu-kun. I approve, take care of him, ‘kay?” Katsu's eyes went wide at her words and he was about to answer her, leaning forward with an expression of shock on his face. How did she know that? Nobody knew that, not even Kento! As he was interrupted again, and she kept talking, Katsu couldn't help the twitch that formed in his eyebrow as she spoke of- What? What was she talking about now? Hurting Tsuyoshi? This conversation had turned from relatively normal to extremely uncomfortable in a matter of seconds. Katsu was about to speak, realising that it was futile to think that he could get out of it with a lie, and was about to reassure her that he would never intentionally hurt Wataru, when once again; he was interrupted. But for an entirely different reason this time. Katsu found himself listening rather intently to her story, surprised at the high school photos of her and Mr Wataru. The story...was rather similar to that of him and Tsuyoshi. However, it wasn't as if Katsu went around acting like an idiot. No, he wouldn't be caught dead. He was about to comment on the fact that their relationships were so similar, when she turned the page, and he saw the tiny little figure that was Tsuyoshi. Small, wrapped in a warm blanket, his eyes closed. And a tiny tuft of hair sticking out from the top of the blanket. He was so pale as a baby, despite the idea that babies were practically pink when they were born. Katsu listened carefully to what she said, his eyes just resting on the innocent image for a moment, before he sat up a little bit more as she turned the page, almost wanting to keep staring at it until- -Oh. This was... It took Katsu a moment to realise what he was looking at, his mind drowning out some of what Tsuki was saying in the split second that a hundred thoughts went through his mind. If he was right; what he was looking at was absolute perfection. The images spun a little before his eyes as he realised just what he was looking at. Wataru Tsuyoshi as a child. Wearing dresses. Girly dresses at that; with ruffles, some with bows; skirts and shoes. The soccer star thought of Tsuyoshi now, and if one looked very closely, you could see the very slightest hint of flush of Katsu's cheeks. The thoughts in his head... the idea of Tsuyoshi in girls clothing was something he couldn't say he hadn't thought of before. However, the fact that it had happened, no matter at what age, was something he had never expected. The fact that his mother had done this...Katsu was torn between being impressed with Mrs Wataru, or feeling so sorry for Tsuyoshi. When he was six years old? He had to endure it for three years? And into elementary school? That would have been scarring... When the album was placed in his hands, Katsu looked up at Mrs Wataru in surprise and some suspicion. Just where was she going with this? Katsu's eyes widened as she spoke her words and he let his mouth fall open, his lips quirking up into a sly smile. The plan suddenly jumped to the front of his mind as if it should have been obvious. This...was something Tsuyoshi would never expect. "You know, Mrs Wataru; I like your style." He said, letting his hair fall over his shoulder as he dug his galaxy out of his pocket, and opening the album. "Thank you for your blessing." 「viviD
Wataru Tsuki loved her children but sometimes she worried about them especially that they were still so young (despite her oldest being 19, he acts more of a ten-year old kid at that age) just like how any mothers feel. Tomiko, her youngest child, is still in elementary school and still had long way to go for her to take care of herself and in a mother’s opinion: is still a baby. While Tsuyoshi was (is still) naïve, the outside world is cold when you don’t have any support, when you’re all by yourself; she was a living proof, if it weren’t for Akihiko, she’d only live a dull life with a weight on her shoulder. Wataru Tsuki worried for her children, she loves them that she didn’t want for them to end up being like her but they weren’t. She and Akihiko weren’t like them, weren’t like her parents- excuse her language- those assholes. Still, even to this day she still worries; especially Tsuyoshi who still hasn’t experienced the pain (no matter how simple) of where there is happiness but also sadness, the beautiful and horrors of the outside world. But, When she looked at Katsu, she was certain that when the day comes where Tsuyoshi would drown in darkness, he would- no, will be by her son’s side and cast away the shadows, she knows that it was the same for him, no matter what obstacle they would face in the future. She knows what they feel about each other, Katsu knows what his feelings but Tsuyoshi doesn’t, hasn’t realized it but someday he will; despite that she wanted future grandchildren. (No way would she let her baby Tomiko to grow up and marry someone and have babies! Besides, her thoughts are getting cheesy.) Why does she have to do this; letting Katsu take some pictures of the most embarrassing moment of Tsu-chan which will undeniable cause more embarrassment and horrifying to Tsuyoshi, she knows that he might (will) get blackmailed. It’s alright because maybe it’ll lead to her son’s realization that Watanabe Katsu wasn’t just a so-called “rival” and maybe something more, there are different ways yet she does this. Why? Because it’s more amusing, more adorable (mostly amusing) and Tsu-chan would deny letting his ‘rival’ know everything about him, especially this, so it falls to a Mother’s job to do it, yes? Because this what Mothers do no matter how much they deny it. “Dinners ready!” She hears Akihiko say and not for long, she could hear their children’s voices with Tomiko shouting cheerfully, Chi-chan’s barking and Tsuyoshi’s laugh. “After you’re done, hide the album under the coach pillow and come to the dinner room, Katsu-kun.” Tsuki smiled at him and went to the dinner room; Tomiko was already in her chair with a fork and spoon in her hands, looking quite excited. Akihiko was putting the food on the table, the utensils ready. Tsuyoshi wasn’t there but his dog, Chi-chan was already eating her food. “Bastard!” Oh there he was, glaring at Katsu as they came in together and then his eyes looked at the table with a look like a deer in the headlights. It’s not that surprising with a scheming mother in the family. Tomiko was sitting at the head of the table while his parents were on Tomiko’s left side, leaving the right side for him and his rival to sit. He didn’t want that! His eyes landed on the other end of the table. Catching on, Tsuki discreetly glared at him. Making a small sound that was close to a whimper, he obediently sat, facing his mother who was next to his little sister. “Come sit next to him, Katsu-kun.” Was the dreaded words (to him) his mother chirped out. He visibly deflated, wailing inside his head. ‘Why me?!’
b.lueeyes
Katsu couldn't help but let his eyes wander over the pictures as he took them. With every page (there were approximately twenty pages worth of them, probably more somewhere around the house...) he found himself more immersed in the (sometimes) happy, smiling face of Tsuyoshi. Other times, he looked rather sullen, sulky even. He had kept that pout, oh yes, he had indeed. Since the beginning of the last year, those lips had been a part of his daydreams and his nighttime ventures. The student gave a slight smirk as he listened to the bustling in the kitchen, closing the book and placing it under the couch seat as directed. Those photos were...he knew exactly what he was going to do already, there was no doubt in his mind. Blackmail. Tsuyoshi was a sucker for being number one, for being ahead, and being all high-and-mighty. If anything were to jeopardize that standing, whether it be public humiliation or anything else, he knew that dear 'Tsu-chan' (he snickered at the cuteness of it) would do anything to prevent it from coming to light. Katsu didn't know whether he would have to resort to actually showing the photos to people...he wasn't sure he wanted to, in fact. He may just keep them...he didn't know yet. After all, Katsu was rather good at getting him riled up without needing to try...he knew what made him tick. It would be so easy... He flipped his phone in his hand, between his fingers before depositing it in his pocket, feeling decidedly impressed with Tsuki. She was a wily one, and he would most definitely enjoy working with her in the future. Katsu stepped into the kitchen and gave a smile at the seating arrangement, before directing that smile to Tsuyoshi, his lips curving up just a little more. "Ah, it all looks fantastic, Wataru-san," He addressed Tsuyoshi's father, inclining his head as he kept his eyes on his son. Moving to sit, he did so easily, his long legs folding back under the table. Once they were all seated, they gave thanks for the meal, and started. As he picked up the (whale-bone, he noted) chopsticks, and began to eat, he could feel the bright gaze of his rival from where he sat. He just needed to keep that attention. He couldn't say he didn't like it, after all. He reached out for one of the courses (it was a rather formal dinner, he had to say. Katsu was rather surprised...there looked to be at least sixteen different small meals set out across the table) and with ease taking some onto his plate. He took some up and ate with manners that would make any of the girls in his class jealous and blinked as he took a taste. Looking up to Tsuyoshi's father, Akihiko (if he remembered correctly), he gave him a sincere smile, with some amazement. "This is absolutely delicious, Wataru-san. Are you a chef?" He asked curiously, fully intending to make conversation here. He knew he had Tsuki-san's blessing, but he wanted to make himself at least courteous to the father. But he wasn't lying; this was one of the best (and few) homecooked meals he had eaten.
「viviD
Tsuyoshi always loved his father’s cooking better than his mother’s. She couldn’t cook her whole life; it always ends up abnormal, weird or better yet; scary. (She uses it for one of the punishment instead once she accepted that her cooking was way horrible.) He enjoyed a lot no matter how many times even if he eats the same dish, he'll never get tired of eating it every day. But with his rival being here in their family member dampens his mood. Especially that Katsu was next to him. The oldest child wanted to say something to him but with his mother being there. Well. You get the point. He scowled, looking at his rival in the corner of his eye. What the hell, the guy was good even with his eating style, goddangit! His mood worsens and the blue boy had to say something to his father. What was he doing? Getting to his father's good side?! Oh hell no, it didn’t help that his father is— Akihiko's red eyes brighten, he smiled, (‘was that flowers popping out in the background again?!’ Tsuyoshi thought) “Why thank you, Katsu-san. Haha! I'm no chef! How nice of you to say that! I’m glad that you enjoy it!” His father’s an oblivious airhead. The opposite of Tsuki. Tsuyoshi groaned again while Tsuki squealed, hugging Akihiko’s arm and cooed, “You’re such an angel, Akihiko my love~! Stop that! Though that irritated me at first but now I love it, it makes me want to eat you~~.” Their children groaned, even Tomiko who rolled her eyes. “Please don’t, I’m not really tasty, dear.” Akihiko laughed it away so easily, it made Tsuki squeal some more. “Ahh~ I love you so much, darling~! ♥♥♥” “I love you too, sweetie. ♥” And now they were in their love-dovey crap, and was that pink background and hearts floating in the scene?! Ugh, the Wataru children were used to it but right now they had a guest. And the guest happened to be Tsuyoshi's 'rival', the one he disliked the most. Why was this happening to him?! WHY HIM??! He slumped in his sit; Tomiko was ignoring the ones on her left side, continuing to eat her food after she made a face at their parents. “Don’t say a word.” He hissed at his seatmate, feeling embarrassed on behalf of his parents who seems like they were on their own world. Too much love-dovey crap! The younger albino covered his face with his hands, groaning some more as if he was psychically in pain. Guh, why did his parents have to act like this in front of Katsu?! “Bark!” Huh? He looked down beside him, between Tsuyoshi and Katsu was Chi-chan, tail wagging happily as she looked up at her owner. “Hey there, Chi-chan, you’re done eating?” Tsuyoshi grinned at his girl, he knew she was done; with that mouth of hers that is covered in dog food. “You’re eating messily again. Tsk, tsk.” He tsks at her playfully, lifting her up as she barked, putting her in his lap. Taking the napkin on the table, he affectionately kissed her nose and she licked him in response, earning a happy laugh from the young albino then proceeded to wipe the mess on her mouth. Tomiko only continued eating, though she looked at Katsu to see his reactions. She’s a smart girl at her age, the other people said so. She wonders how he would react, there was something weird about him that she didn’t like and she knows it’s directed to her brother!
