jahero Posted November 13, 2013 Share Posted November 13, 2013 -going to skip a bit- Â After a few days of riding Kadan and Vladimir made it up the mountains. The weather was a bit colder, the air harder to breath but because they were not human it shouldnt be a problem for them. There was a small town just at the base of the mountain, whom had just lost there last hunter to werewolves, or so Kadan had over heard as they passed through. They made there way up the mountain there was already and older shack standing; in which they fixed it up and called it home. 2 months have passed since kadan took Vladimir from his home. They made money by trapping animals for the local town below... Â Kadan woke up that morning. The warmth of the sun had hit his face through the window, warming his face. He yawned and crawled out of bed moving towards the barrel of water that was in the room and splashing his face. The room was split into two's with a cloth. They still needed a few more coin before he could make up Vladimir's room, until then they shared. Kadan got dressed and slide the cloth back to see Vladimir sleeping in bed. He goes towards them, he sees his mom, being hit and thrown to the ground. When she looks up, she stares into his eyes. She spoke, "Why Vladimr? Why? I thought you wanted to protect me?" Vladimir screamed no as the the man stabbed his mother with a knife. Vladimir woke up with Galan over top of him, trying to wake him up. He was drenched in sweat. chilled to the marrow of his very bones. Hes breathing was erratic, his heart racing in his chest. Finally, when he came to his senses, he felt embarrassed by what Galan saw. "Sorry," whispered. Hes been having nightmares ever since he left home. "Come on, time to wake. I'll warm up the bath for you. breakfast should be done when you get out. " Kadan went to move away from Vladimir but turned back towards him. " If you need to return Vladimir, I wont stop you. you have done well here with me the last few months and have grown. Vladimir was a little preoccupied because Seth has to be worried by now since Vladimir hasnt contacted him in a few months. What is he supposed to say? That hes living in a forest with a werewolf? And that hes a vampire? Like hell understand that. Vladimir rested his head in his hands. And Mom, what will she think? Vladimir shakes his head and stands up. jahero Posted November 28, 2013 Share Posted November 28, 2013 Kadan started the food for the morning. Setting out a cup of blood for vladimir, some fruit and other bits of food. Kadan had planned to take him into town today. He had a surprise waiting for him that he hoped would cheer him up. His lack of sleep was bothered Kadan. Kadan him self didnt get much sleep because of his guardian nature, he spent a lot of his time watching the house in his wolf form. Lately he had been watching Vladimir struggle in his sleep; and all he could do was think of ways to help the boy. " Its ready" Kadan called out as he placed the last bits on the table. He could smell the fresh meat and blood scent in the air. "Kadan went hunting," Vladimir said allowed to himself. He walked in and he said good morning. "R-really," he stuttered, "we can do that?" Vladimir was suddenly hyper at the thought of seeing his mother and his best friend, Seth, and hopefully, if shes there, he could see his sister. See hows shes doing and everything. Vladimirs eyes grew big in a hopeful kinda way. He wishes no more than to see them. More than anything. " We need to go into town to sell some of the things we got on our hunts, so eat your meal and pack for the trip. Then get your horse ready for the ride. Brush it down and give it a good meal." Vladimir managed to get on the horse the first try, sloppily, but he managed. He raced off toward Kadan and in a manner of seconds he caught up to him.
