The Teachings of the Universe ((Yujiko x Akiravadel)) ((18+))

That was how the new teacher entered the classroom. A skinny man about 5'10 and wearing glasses and a suit came into the room. He actually dressed nicer than any of the teachers there and seemed like he was right out of college with the way he moved around and seemed to fidget. He just had a hard time sitting still and right now he needed to stay at this school for a bit.

 

"Physics huh? Nice subject huh? It's my favorite!" he smiled cheekily as he looked around the room then spoke again. "Physics is the natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through space and time, along with related concepts such as energy and force. More broadly, it is the general analysis of nature, conducted in order to understand how the universe behaves. Or so everyone here believes..."

 

He mumbled a little for a moment and cocked his head a little looking up at the ceiling as he paused then shrugged his shoulders, "physics is actually the oldest study for Earth." He started rambling on about the nature of it and where it came from.

Klaus Wolf was in the back of the class, watching his new teacher a dumbfounded look. Was this guy serious? He knew he wasn't going to pass this semester with such a fidgety guy as his science teacher. Sighing, the chestnut color locked boy crossed his arms on his desk and laid his head down. If he was going to fail, he may as well get some good sleep while doing it right? Truth is, Klaus hated sporadic behavior. He was a slow writer and he had a very unique thought pattern. Thus anything other than a regular teacher, i.e. this new teacher, was to much for him to keep up with- all talk, no hands on. The young student pulled his eyes up a bit to peek at the teacher. For someone as crazy as this guy, he was pretty fancy looking- I mean... Look at the Windsor knot on that tie. Not to mention, but this teacher was one of the more attractive members of the school staff, and that's saying something.

Talking through a bit of the class he would quiz some of the kids on information and noticed one kid who seemed to be lost to it. He reminded him of himself when he would get lost in his school and just lay his head down. It was just because they never offered the interesting hands on he liked so much. Being in a classroom just wasn't his thing.

 

The brunette talked until the bell rang then made sure to set out papers for their assignment before walking over to his desk and collected his things into his backpack.

 

Some of the students were whispering about how this new teacher came about. It was like he appeared out of nowhere and another said they saw him walk out of a police box that morning. The man never even introduced himself to the class. He was going by Doctor John Smith at the moment to the staff.

As the bell rang, Klaus stood lazily and pulled himself up, flinging his bag over his shoulder. His brown hair gently falling over his eyes. Beginning for the door, but stopped short. He stood before the teacher, just starring for a moment. "What was your name, teach?" He asked rubbing his eyes. "Sorry... I wasn't paying much attention." The boy spoke plainly, straight forward. Klaus didn't speak much to the other students, so his view on the new teacher was pretty broad. He blinked for a moment at the man. "...?"

The Doctor crossed his arms and smirked at the boy, "Dr. John Smith but you can call me Doctor. Pleased to meet you." He held his hand out to shake the others. This kid was interesting, he was used to people either making fun of him or asking a lot of questions of him, this boy seemed a bit different. "You're Klaus Wolf right? Strong name, strong origin. That is of course if you're name actually comes from your place of origin. Earth right now has a habit of having strange names that aren't entirely linked to their origin."

Boy raised a brow to the man's name. John smith? Seems kind of generic... At first he only glanced at the extended hand, but he took it, shaking it. Pulling back his hand, his head looked up at the "Doctor" with curiosity. This guy... Knows my name? As the student listened to the man ramble on about how the world has just been picking names out of basket, one word catches his attention. "Earth?" He asked softly. "That's a strange word to choose, Dr. Smith." Though Klaus was a slow writer by hand, he could type like the wind, and this was very important to his dream of becoming a writer. So, it wasn't to strange for him to find this particular new teacher interesting... John Smith. "Your name, though commonly mistaken for poorly picked names in spy novels and Hollywood movies, is strong in it's British origin as well, Doctor." Suddenly the bell rings, he looks over to the door. He curiosity and discipline fighting over what to do.

A smile spread across the Doctor's lips then. This kid was certainly someone he would usually pick up and take away to see the wonders of the universe, "I'm a strange man." Pushing off the side of the desk he picked up he brief case and walked back over to him. This man had not an ounce of threatening in his demeanor.

 

"Well I am a bit more on the British side you could say. Picked up the accent years ago, even though it was more Northern at one point and a bit Scottish another," the Doctor shrugged and slapped a hand onto the boys shoulder. "You're a clever one aren't you? Sleeping all day in class and then breaking it all down in a couple sentences."

Watching the man push off the desk and lift his brief case, Klaus was surprised by the hand on his shoulder. He stared the hand as the elder spoke. Shrugging the hand off, the boy huffed and looked up. "I am, indeed. Dr. Smith." Spoke the German descendant softly. "You seem to have traveled a lot for your age, I almost wonder how-" The bell rang again. Klaus turned his head to the hallway. "-A pitty. Seems I'l have to leave some questions for tomorrow." Twirling on his heels, the boy began out the door. "Cyah, later, Doc!"

The Doctor smiled as he watched the boy go then his face fell. The day for him was over and it was back to the Tardis. Sighing heavily he pulled his bag over his shoulder and headed down the hall to leave the school. This man looked young but his eyes were so old. He had done and seen too much so now he spent his days alone in his ship.

 

Walking down the street he stopped at a store to grab some snacks before pulling out his key and walking up to a blue police box. He unlocked it and stepped inside. It seemed like the people passing didn't notice it. It has a temporal field to keep people from really noticing it.

The day was long and uneventful after the class with the now famous Dr.Smith. The young boy sighed as he walked off and out of the school. The student began for what he called home. Klaus stopped in at the local convenience store to pick up dinner, lousy dinner. As the young student walked out of the store, he glanced across the street noticing something... Well, strange. Why is there a blue phone booth randomly on the sidewalk...? Klaus shrugged," Whatever..." The student began for his home... His dreadful home.

Walking around the counsel carrying his bags he glanced at a monitor as he went by and paused. That was the kid from his class. Stuffing a few candies in his mouth he turned the monitor more towards him and hit some buttons with his free hand. It zoomed in on the kid. He looked so sad...

 

"Nonono, I already told myself I'm not taking anymore companions," the Doctor turned from the monitor and walked towards the hall and paused. Turning around he looked back over to the boy and sighed. Setting the bag down in the jumper seat he set a tracker on the boy and started up the Tardis to land outside his home once he was there.This kid caught his interest and he had a hard time looking past a sad face.

Humming a tune, the high school student traced his mental map home. Light, light, light- Left, light, light, left and light, four-way, and the one last right... As the student whipped his body around the gate to his home right off the street, Klaus was stunned with surprise. Wha...? H-how? It was the blue phone booth-thingy again, suddenly in front of his home. The young man stood there for a few seconds, staring blankly at the box before him. Here was it when he began to walk around it, M-maybe you're just imagining things... You didn't get good sleep last night...

The Doctor had noticed the boy on his screen and felt the familiar stiring in his gut to pick this person up and bring them into the wonders of his ship. He smiled, "Aha! So, fancy a trip in the Tardis?" He jogged back inside and over to the controls smiling over at him. Tucking his hands into his pockets he smiled at him waiting for him to walk inside since he left the door open for him to. He stood there expectedly waiting for him to look inside.

Klaus was stunned, dropping his backpack,"Oh my God... I'm dead." Just starring at Professor Smith while he walked further inside the seeming enormous police box, the student stood blank. "I must be dead- or seeing things that, well, dead people see- I don't remember dying- this is crazy... Wait-" "-Professor Smith... Am I dead? Cause either I am or this Police box is actually following me around, with you in it, and is some sort... of-" Slowly walking inside, the young man's voice began to trail off. "-futuristic space... travel... thing." Taking a few moments, Klaus looked up at his teacher," I'm not dead am I? And this is real. And you're no teacher, are you?"

The Doctor smiled as he watched him take in the Tardis, "no you're not dead and technically I am a teacher just... not really for here. I even have a Doctorate in several categories... including corn- um, this is the Tardis. She's my... space ship." He walked around the controls hitting a few buttons, turns some knobs.

 

 

"We can go anywhere in time and space," the Doctor stepped back and smirked at him, "if you flip that switch we'll be going somewhere... anywhere. All of time and space to explore." All around were coral's of metal but on one was a denim jacket, and next to the counsel there was another thicker jacket.

Klaus only blinked as the "Doctor" spoke, watching him as he paced about the machine, pressing buttons. This was unreal, something the student thought he'd never even dream about. "Space travel? Really?" Walking towards Dr. Smith, or at least that's who Klaus though he was, he held a curiously unsure expression. If this was all real, he was chosen from billions in the world, to be in a space with a man so knowledgeable that he had a degree in corn? Hesitant at first, the german-mut's sparkled as they skimmed across the control, buttons, and nobs in awe. This was truly amazing. Looking up at the seemingly British man, Klaus cleared his throat," I want to see how my parents met..."

The Doctor watched him as he took it all in and felt that familiar giddy feeling in the pit of his stomach to travel once again. At least once. One trip wouldn't harm anything. Except that. His face fell when the other said that, "All of time and space and that's the moment? We could go to Barcelona, the planet not the city, or even Mars, or better yet Garrundia in the spring. An entire planet made in food. The hotels there are lovely." Going back on someones time line to do with family was never something he liked to do, it always caused problems.

((Oh yeah! I think you were in the process of settling in before I disappeared last. It's good you've gotten used to things over there ^^. Awesome! I should take a look at it again, I think I've missed alot on it. My dA never gave me notification about your updates ))

 

Klaus had always wondered what happened to his family, wondered why his mother became addicted to narcotics. He wanted to see the life he would of had, the one he could of had, and most of all- he wanted to see that man he's only imagined. As a child, the young Germanic student never saw his father, not even in a picture, so he could only imagine him. Maybe he was a daring adventurer in a far off country, or the busy international CEO of a global company. The child's eyes stayed locked onto the teacher's as his brow furrowed," I'm assuming this machine can go to more than one place. So, why not see my father for the first time?" Looking at the controls before him," I want to know what happened. It's important- After all, I only have one life to live and I want t know what started it..." He grinned a bit,"-or more appropriately, who." Those eyes moved, and settled back onto the doctor's. "So, Doctor. Please, take me to see my parents."

The Doctor frowned the more the boy talked. Tucking his hands into his suit pockets he looked over his face, his own was almost blank with a little worry behind his old eyes, "the last time I took someone back to see their parents, more her father she saved him from his death causing a giant rip in time which set out Reapers to prey on those in the wrong time line. I sacrificed myself to save them as everything was tearing apart. I just wanted her to be happy. Pete paid the price to save us and set things right. He died again in his daughters arms."

 

Stepping over to him slowly he stood before him, "I will not repeat that event. The vortex cannot handle such a tear in time over and over. You want to just observe right?"

Klaus looked up at the towering man, with those eyes aged beyond their years," Why would I want to change fate? Everything happens for a reason, and those reasons place me here in this mythical space ship with a doctor with a degree in corn." He smiled a bit, chuckling, and gently biting his lip in excitement. "After all, if I were to tear the vortex, I would do it with something much, much bigger." One could almost hear the adventurous music playing in the background, as the younger's words fell craftily into the air. He was being honest though. His life meant nothing to history, so why would he dare mess with that. Hell, if he was going to screw all of time and space, he would want it to be big. Don't read him wrong though, these are truly not his intentions. The boy is just really excited to get out of the house. "Well, let's hop to it. Time won't reverse its self!" He said with a ring in voice.

A huge grin spread across the Doctor's lips, "what are we waiting for! Waiting is boring!" He turned and started setting in coordinates. The machine started to vibrate as the tubing in the middle began to move up and down as the rotor started.

The Doctor laughed like a happy little kid as he ran around the controls. He hadn't really gone on a trip in some time. It was nice to fly her again and she hummed her happiness back. Stroking the control panel with his hand a big smile came across his face, "this is it." He hit the handbrake with his foot and the Tardis landed with a bit of a thump.

Flopping onto the floor he laughed then turned over and popped up onto his feet, "outside those doors is your past. Ready to face it?" He clicked the door open and pulled on his long brown jacket.

Klaus only watched as the once composed man became crazed, and began running about. What was this madness that had possessed the doctor so suddenly? "How many buttons does he really have to press?!" Gripping the closest thing to him, which would be the console in front of him, he tried his best to keep himself steady as the ship landed roughly. When "Smith" had fallen to the floor, laughing in joy, the young Germanic American only blinked in surprise. This was crazy, all of it, even this teacher of his. This all probably some prank, who was he kidding? How could he get lucky enough to be in an actual spaceship.

 

Klaus followed the doctor as he began for the door out off the Tardis. "Am I ready?" Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't- but it was far to late to chicken out now. Swallowing hard, the young boy pushed the door open to show an older bustling city, with the two of them in some alley way. Stepping out further into the world, Klaus began to glance about, taking in everything. Smell, Sight, Sound- all the minor details. The urge to remember this moment was heavy in him, with a spaceship, and his parents? Such a weight.

 

As the student stepped past the end of the alley and on to the side walk, he heard what sounded like two people running into one another. A swift swing of his head in the direction of the sound, and there she was, his mother. Looking to the eyes of a young man much resembling Klaus, himself. With his brow lightly moving together, he smiled warmly. From the look of it, his father was just a flower boy- delivering flowers for customers, and his mother a high school student. He could see the love in his father's eyes...

 

It was here he frowned a little,"I never got to see him smile at me like that... And I never will..." Klaus stepped backwards, back towards the Tardis. "I... Think I'm through here. Thank you, doctor..." The young boy spun on his heels and began for the Tardis.

The Doctor followed the boy out and watched him and the situation take place. This is why he traveled with people. To watch their reactions. It helped him experience the world in a new way. a way he was broken from.

 

Flower boy huh? He smiled softly as he watched their almost movie like love unfold. It was always nice to see people come together, even though it didn't seem to have a happy ending. Looking back to his companion he watched as he crumbled. Sometimes this was too much and he knew it was hard to see this.

 

Turning the Doctor walked back into the Tardis knowing the mood would be low now, "now then how about a different planet? Some place cold or warm? Maybe the all beach planet, Argoma. It literally is beach circling the planet." He smiled to him and started to leisurely walk around the controls shifting some here to there.

Once inside, the dark-haired boy leaned against the console that the doctor now circled. Expression blank, and eyes on the floor. "Memories fade..." Looking up at his teacher as he paced, Klaus stood for a moment. "Okay... I will travel with you in this... Ship, to anywhere. But, I have one request." Pausing, the young boy met his eyes with the doctor," I want a souvenir for every time we travel... And, if we could start with this travel. I'd be grateful..." Biting his lip, Klaus looked down and cliched his fist.

 

"I know how people's past can tear and effect time- so, for just this once... If you could- uh- get me flowers from my father, I'd be extremely grateful. Any flowers! They won't leave the ship, I swear." The child was desperate to keep his father close, and he wanted to do it the safest way possible, the young are so impressionable. Klaus is clay about to be baked, and set in his ways, but right now the doctor had a rare chance to mold his companion into a beautiful piece of clay.
