Smiling softly he walked over and reached up putting a hand on his cheek, "alright. I'll be right back. Stay." He winked at him then left the Tardis shutting the door behind himself. Jogging up the street he found the boys father and mother still talking but not they were sitting at a little cafe. They were sitting at a round four person table with both of them on one side with the chair scooted in close.

 

Smiling his cheeky grin the Doctor took a chair on the other side, sitting in it backwards, "mighty nice evening isn't it?"

 

"That it is, sir," the man looked confused as this strange man spoke to them.

 

"Young love just blooming I take it?" he smiled between them and watched as the blushing and smiles occurred. "Oh that's just lovely that is. Hang onto that, cherish it." He pointed at both of them. "Your children will become magnificent and as long as you work together things will turn out alright." Standing he pulled out an envelope filled with money from his jacket pocket and laid it down. "Mind if I have some flowers?"

 

"Sir that's too much!"

 

"Naw, well consider it an early engagement present," the Doctor winked to them and scooped up the flowers heading back to the ship. He walked over to Klaus handing them to him. "Inside the Tardis they won't age. Keep them in your room if you'd like."

"Why do I bother... The flowers will die even if he gets them..." Sighing faintly, Klaus dropped his gaze, only to be surprised by his teacher's hand on his cheek. "W-wait... R-really?" The dark-haired boy watched as the elder left the ship. "Well... That was unexpected..." A small grin rose on his cheeks for a moment," Heh..."

 

While he waited, the young man waltzed about the ship, whistling. Bored a bit, the student leaned against a wall and began yo hum a bit. A short lullaby his mother would sing. "Hmmm, hm, hmmm, hmm, hmmm, hmm..." Before long, the doctor returned with the flowers. Klaus's eyes widened with both surprise and joy. "Y-You really got them." Spoke the young man softly.

 

"So they won't age? Amazing...-" Eyes widened, "Wait- M-my own room?" He asked questioningly. He's here for less and 24 hours, and he has his own room already?!

"Yeah," the Doctor scratched his side burn. "I mean if you want it. You can store some things in here and be back in time for tea the next morning." He sort of danced around the controls as he flipped things here and there. He hit some buttons and smiled to Klaus. "Are you ready to travel the universe but a moment has barely passed you by in school?"

 

It was then he realized Klaus was next to the denim jacket hanging up and about to touch it, "Sorry." He grabbed it and lifted a grate on the floor to put it into storage.

This was exciting. Having his own room was a bit surprising, but he was happy about it! A place to store items from every trip and adventure... Perfect. The dark haired boy Smiled happily with the flowers being held in his hands, as the doctor danced around. Before Klaus could move from against the wall and begin a search for his room, his teacher was suddenly standing before him, reaching for the metal surface the German child was reclined against.

 

A sheen of pink flash over the students face- Really the doctor wasn't all that close, but he was caught off guard. Wha-what's he doing? Looking up at the man before him, Klaus' cheeks darkened. Mr.Smith wasn't ugly, like the dark haired boy had thought before, he was rather attractive for a his age.

 

"Sorry..." Klaus shot his head down as he looked at the floor, red faced. What were you thinking, stupid?! Of course he was getting the coat... Glancing up a bit at his teacher, Klaus' cheeks seemed to lighten up, But... He was close to me. Way closer than anyone's ever been... Clearing his throat, the student pushed himself off the wall, hiding his face with the flowers. My cheeks are still pink! Dammit! "So where's this room?" He asked calmly.

The Doctor for being how brilliant he was, was fairly clueless to any sort of affection, until it was made obvious. He nodded his head, "sure it's just down the hall, it's next to mine." He tapped a door as he walked by. "That ones my room. Watch out though the Tardis does like to move rooms around sometimes when she knows you want to go somewhere else, or she's having a laugh."

 

He opened the second door to a nice room, with blue carpets and galaxy designs on the walls. Also a desk and some shelves. It was all empty, "if you need anything let me know and I can add it to your room." Tucking his hands into his pockets he looked in at the room, his heart sinking a little.

Klaus peered into the room, awe on his face. This is amazing! The young student walked about the room, examining every detail. It really was gorgeous... As the young man waltz around the room, he noticed the doctor's expression and frowned a bit. The look Mr.Smith was giving seemed to be that one who had lost someone close to them, and Klaus could relate in definitely. We Klaus was upset, he'd go and read a story or book and escape from it all.

 

Setting the flowers on a shelf, Klaus twirled on his heels and walked up to his teacher, still blushing. "Whenever I'd miss my dad, I'd read a book. Or go for a walk, maybe we should try one... It'll make you feel better about whatever is haunting your mind..."

A small smile came to the doctor's lips then, "traveling with me will be dangerous. There will be people to help and creatures who want me dead. If you're willing, I would love to have a companion to travel the worlds with. So much to see... so much to do. So much adventure."

 

The brunette put his hands on the others shoulders, "so much but I don't want to loose you. If you decide you're done I will take you home, but you will always be welcome here." He winked at him.

The smile made Klaus feel warm from the stomach up. "I don't see why anything would want you dead, Mr. Smith." Spoke the boy naively, as they shared a gaze. The moment the doctor placed his hands on the student's shoulder, his cheeks tinted darker.

 

Adventure? Worlds? Time travel? I'd only ever be done in death... "Always being being welcome here is good and all, however: Anywhere that isn't home is where I want to be, and if adventure is the where, then show me the stars, Doctor..." Eyes sparkling in that moment, the dark haired boy smiled lightly and looked to the ground. "So far, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. So, the same goes for you." Klaus's eyes meet the doctor's," Don't die on me." Smirking the boy chuckled a bit. "Well! What are we waiting for? Let's go on an adventure." Pulling away from the Doctor, the student walk out the of the room enthusiastically.

lol I'm not on here much because no one seems to want to rp with me... ah well I guess Doctor Who and Attack on Titan and such aren't things people like rping... ::shrug:: ))

 

At the comment of him not knowing why anyone would want him dead made him pause. This kid literally knew nothing about him, got into his ship and flew back in time with him. He always wondered if he was too charming and it always showed with his companions. Although a couple refused and one smacked him. Over 50 companions at this point... How would Klaus react to that knowledge?

 

The Doctor walked with him until they stepped outside. He'd flown them to the time in which the other wanted to see his parents, "which way?" He looked over at the boy and smiled softly. His hands tucking into his pockets. They had clearly flown to the past onto Klaus's old street. He didn't know which was his house or even where his parents were. "Oh by the way, if you are born right now then make sure you do not touch your other self."

Looking back at the doctor, he raised a brow. "We're still here?" The dark haired boy rubbed his neck lightly, "Weren't you worried about me changing the past?" Glancing about the neighborhood, Klaus notice a young boy on a tricycle. "Wait..." Spoke the student abruptly as he dropped his hand from the back of his neck. "That's me! Wait where's-" Just then, a man ran out from a drive way, chasing after the boy on the tricycle. "Klaus! Slow down, haha! Speed racer!"

 

That's right, Klaus' father used to call him speed racer, or at least he did before... "Wait I remember this!" Taking a step back the young brunette shook his head," No- no, no no! Let's leave, now! Please, let's go!" Grabbing the doctor's hand, Klaus tried to pull him inside the Tartus. But, he reacted to late.

 

From a distance they could hear Klaus' father yelled at the 4 year old version of him, telling him to get out of the street. "Please! Let's before-!" Tear ran down the student's face, as he gripped his teacher's button up tightly, watching as he father died saving his stupid 4 year old life. The sounds of a car skidding to a stop, and a child crying filled the air. "Please... Let's leave... And never come back..." Head hanging low, the student silently cried into the teacher's torso.

In an instant his world was turned up side down. Rose...

 

This was what happened, this was what he was trying to avoid but Klaus wanted to come here, he said he wouldn't let time change and now it happened all over again. Her father getting hit by a car before her eyes and her breaking down. Then everything spiraling around them after that.

 

This was a reason he ran away...

 

 

Leaving her on that beach in the other universe was the hardest thing he ever did. Even burnt out a star to talk to her again..

 

Then...

 

 

Just like that she was gone...

 

 

Pulled Klaus close he whispered against his head, "I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry..." He quickly lead him back into the Tardis and shut the doors. He couldn't let it happen again... couldn't loose anyone else. He had to take him home and lock himself away from everyone. He was trembling as he held the boy close. This boy knew nothing about him and jumped into his time machine to fly about the universe... it wasn't fair to him. "I shouldn't have taken you... I'm too dangerous to be around."

As the doctor held Klaus close, the boy felt, well- safe. He'd forgot this horrid memory, or maybe his mind made him. Maybe this would help him have better understanding about why his mother always resented him, always look at him with hurtful eyes. The student felt himself get pulled into the tartus, also feeling the elder's trembling body. "I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry..." "I shouldn't have taken you... I'm too dangerous to be around." It was here Klaus pulled away from the man, eyes still crying and face now red.

 

"Don't blame yourself..." Spoke the young boy with hicks in his voice," You couldn't have know that this is when and where..." Klause pursed his lips together, and suddenly hugged the man before him, tight. "This..." Klaus swallowed hard," was hard as hell to watch... And I- I thank you for it..." The crying boy adopted a smile, both real and posed, just as he pulled away from the doctor. Tear still streaming down the brunette's face, he spoke wise words," I always thought my father ran out on me, or died long before I could remember... But now I know my mind hid the memory from me, to protect me..." Looking down and dropping the smile, his expression fluctuated between sadness and his effort to try and hold in his emotions.

 

"I know I can't blame myself, doctor... So, you shouldn't either. After all, I did beg you to bring me here." It was here the boy pulled the teacher's head into his shoulder -being only about 5 inches smaller than the grown adult before him- hugging him. "I think you feel far more pain now, than I have in my life, Mr.Smith... And I'm sure I'm not the first one to join you... But please, stop blaming yourself, or I might start acting my age and get jealous of those other people consuming your very thoughts..." What a bold thing to say, Klaus.

Listening to the boy only made his hearts break more. When he was pulled down his arms wrapped around him holding him close, "you ran into my ship without knowing a thing about me. I'm not Mr. Smith or even John Smith. My name is the Doctor." He slipped back from him and leaned against the counsel. "I'm nine hundred and four years old, from the planet Gallifrey... I'm alien Klaus... I simply look human."

 

 

Reaching a hand up he scratched it through his hair messing it up more, "It's not safe traveling the universe. I've lost, gotten killed or just plan old couldn't help the people who traveled with me no matter how hard I tried." His arms crossed as hs looked tot he floor. His eyes were so old and so full of hurt it was clear this man had been through too much.

As the young man listened, he could help but see a flaw in the Doctor's logic. It's understandable to make people your responsibility in a situation like this, but no matter if your human or not, it's not healthy to have it all weighing on you all the time. Klaus couldn't even try to take the heavy burden of pain and suffering off the man's shoulder's, but he could at least try to take his mind off of them.

 

"I'm assuming you didn't train them to know what to do then? I have a feeling you sorta wing everything. So, teach me." Klaus reached up and lifted the doctor's head so that they shared a gaze," I don't know what means to be where your from, but to me it seems like a soul cursed to suffer for eternity. Break that cycle, team me all that I could possibly learn to be safe and maybe even one day save you." Smiling a bit, his tears drying as his thoughts became focused on the doctor, he realized a funny aspect of his words. "If you couldn't teach me in a classroom about physics, teach me here about the universe."

 

"Take me with you, Doctor."

Looking into that man's eyes he could see he was really grown up already. He knew this kids past but would this kid honestly understand if he knew the choices he's made before? A part of himself he's been hiding from for three hundred years...

 

"Well one was a nurse and brilliant, she walked the Earth for a year and saved the planet. Then there was Donna... oh Donna she thought she wasn't special or smart or anything really. I taught her she meant something, then... I had to take it all away, but we had the best of times..." the Doctor's amber eyes looked to the boy.

 

Taking a deep breath he stood back up and started walking around the control's flipping levels and turning things, "do you have everything you need with you, or do you want to make a stop?"

Even though the young student knew somehow he had brought some light into the elder's eyes, he couldn't help but feel as if the man was still sulking about his past, about the other partners he previously had. Dropping his head slightly, the young brunette couldn't help but feel a tad useless. Afterall, he couldn't help that he suddenly felt responsible for this alien's state of mind.

 

"I can tell you cared a lot about them, and I'm sorry you had to lose them all one way or another..." Spoke the boy as he leaned against the console," If you telling me all these things was suppose to talk me out of going with you, your mistaken. Cause I want you to remember me the way you remember them..." Looking down, the boy blushed . "I'm sorry, that was out of place..."

 

Guilt can over the boy, maybe he really was jealous... Looking up at the doctor, Klaus shook his head. "I having nothing on this world I want..." Those young eyes met the other's gaze.

"Those are some harsh words coming from a young lad," The Doctor's amber eyes moved up to look at him. He smiled sadly and reached his hand over ruffling his hair. "Trust me, I'll never forget you. Just like I hope you won't forget me." Winking at him he turned to the control flipping a few switches and hit the handbrake sending them into the vortex. The machine rocked a little but then steadied.

 

"Where shall we go first?"

 

 

"The winter mountains of Suddoon, where you can ski all year round, or perhaps Slitherax where... well no no no... we don't want to go there," the Doctor flipped another switch. "Perhaps dinner in Albalonian? You have everywhere in time and space, where do you want to start?" He smiled to the boy. "Or... you can hit that button." He pointed to an orb like button on the counsel. "That's the randomizer. Hit that and then the handbrake and we'll go to a random time in space."

All these places the doctor had listed the boy had no interest in, he wanted to go somewhere random, wanted to have an experience with he doctor that he himself hadn't experienced before. Walking over to the console, standing beside the doctor, Klaus stared at the button for a moment, looking up at his mentor. "I like surprises, but after this, let eat at this Albalonian place you speak of, shall we?"

 

And with that, the boy pressed the button, excitement shooting through his veins. This was truly exciting.

"Brilliant!" A giant smile came over the Doctor face as he hit the brake and off they went flying through a random time in space. The time lord smiled over to his new companion as they landed. "right outside those doors..." he turned off the monitor. "Is a mystery even to me. I didn't read it."

 

Smirking he grabbed his coat slinging it over his shoulder and pushing his arms through, "who knows what lies beyond these doors. Are you ready?"

The travel to the new place was just as before, bumpy, but overall smooth sailing. Klaus met eyes with the Doctor as he smile, a light grin rising on the young German's cheeks. Brilliant indeed, the boy was amazed at how quickly the Doctor's mood had changed to that of happiness. Maybe this man's truest passion was discovering the unknown, and exploring that which he had never explored. If this was so, then Klaus and the doctor had more in common than one would think.

 

Smiling wide as his mentor slid on a jacket, the boy ran by his side. "I'm so ready..." He inhaled with nervous joy. "Let's do this!" He pushed through the door...

The Doctor reached his hand to the door and pulled it open. As he stepped out he looked around, "huh..." He stepped into what looked to be a cave. Looking up they were in a big hole in the ground with several different paths leading either up the walls or down some tunnels. In the distance he could hear someone talking. It sounded like a group, possibly others exploring.

 

As he stepped forward there were several broken statues. Some that looked like they were melting in a way. It was odd because it was chilly down there. Well chilly for a human. "We're in a cave of some sort." He smiled back at Klaus. "Fancy a wonder?"

Walking out after the Doctor, the young blonde blinked about the cavern, in awe. This was an alien world, place, and time in space (no pun intended). Klaus's woeful expression suddenly change, a smile carving on the young man's cheeks. "A wonder, indeed, Doctor." Declared the student before twirling, with his eyes trained on the tunnels leading up.

 

"This is amazing!" It was here that the blonde heard the voices as well, stepping back and by the doctor, unsure of whether or not he should be afraid or adventurous. Those soft eyes met the doctor's brown ones," Shall we?" Asked Klaus as he gestured towards the voices.

A large smile came across the Doctor face. Reaching down he took his hand and led him down the cavern. A ways into the cave he started to notice what looked like melted statues. He couldn't tell what they had been before but they were certainly made form stone, "I wonder if a fire happened down here or if that's natural wear?" Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his glasses, which were fake and looked over the stone on one of them.

Wide eyes accompanied the flutter that Klaus had felt when the doctor had taken his hand, and began leading them down the winding cavern. Smiling to himself now, the young boy's eyes lifted to the sights before him, hand in hand with his new mentor. Before long, the Doctor brought the fast paced walk to a halt, only to peer upon one of the strange statues that had been scattered about the caves. Glasses? Wait... Those are fake. "Doctor, why are you.." Klaus figured out why the doctor was using these obviously fake lenses while peering at the unique statue. "Those tell you what it's made of right?" He asked curiously, looking back and forth between the Doctor and the statue.
