Summary:

 

There's a restaurant which is the place for a chef work as head chef.

It was not really popular restaurant but there was a boy, named rezel, who wants to work part time at there.

Rezel never have experience about cooking before so it makes the chef annoyed.

But actually the chef wants to help Rezel to be great chef.

Kushi opened the restaurant like normal and smiled to the people outside waiting on him. He said good morning then went back in the back letting the hosts take over. He slipped on his apron and sighed to himself starting a new day at work. He loved his job, cooking had always been something he loved to do. He had gone to college for it and was amazing. He had taught evey assistant chef in the kitchen what they knew. He pushed his brown hair away from his green eyes. He was tall and was broad shouldered. He usually had cuts on his hands that have healed and scared over. Its just happened when he was working usually.

A orange-haired boy chirping happily after going to school, but he seems need to make money. So he thinks it will be better if he work part-time in public places. On the way he saw the restaurant was very quiet. But, he interested on that.

Maybe i can try this place, thinks Rezel.

He pushes the door softly and greetings everyone in the restaurant.

"Konnichiwa! I want to work part-time at here!" said Rezel.

But there's no crowded feelings like other restaurant just quiet as graveyard. There's a cool chef looking into Rezel with raised his eyebrows. Rezel stop his steps because he thinks he already being rude at here. The chef is glanced on him with emotions of anger.

Kushi looked up at the boy who walked in and he scowled in anger. "Dont just come in here yelling out of the blue like that!" He yelled at the boy wiping off his hands with a wet towel and walking around the bar to the boy. "Who do you think you are? If you want a job you just have to ask you dont have to yell at me!" he breathed out and sighed holding out a hand to the boy, "I'm Kushi, Head chef." He said telling the boy his name. "Why dont you come back with me so we arent disterbing these fine customers we have." He said nodding back to the kitchen.

Rezel sighs and aware that he meets a scary man. He bowing at the chef and apologized about before.

"I-I just thinks the restaurant is crowded so i need to yell, but.. you know..well," Rezel looked around.

"If you don't mind i want to work here. And i know you need some help, right?" said Rezel innocent.

Chef Kushi rolled his eyes and let me in. But i know he still acquaintance so he really extra careful with me. He showed the kitchen, looks clean and shiny. From the outside its looks like a mess. Maybe Rezel should not judge a book from its cover.

Kushi sighed and smiled to the boy, "What exactly did you wont to work in? Kitchen, host, waiter? I'm okay with you working here...but i have rules. You can just run around yelling like that okay? You have to be quiet. No yelling...unless its back here in the kitchen." He chuckled softly washing his hands. The smell of food cooking whirled around the kitchen. He noticed the other male lookign around the room, "What? Not to your taste?" He said leaning against the counter. He was usually shy but he wasnt when it came to work. He didnt want it to come of that he couldnt rule over his kitchen.

Rezel opened his mouth wanna say something, "i think i want to make some dishes." said he in confident. Then Chef Kushi ask me for making some dishes to showed him about his skill. Rezel suprised, he didnt expect that the chef wants him to make something. Crap, if i cant do it, i must be kick out from here, thinks Rezel. Finally Rezel accepted the wishes of the chef. He started to chop a wortel but after one chop his finger bleeding. Chef Kushi gives Rezel a bandage and teach him how to chop a wortel. He come closer to Rezel and Rezel thinks Chef Kushi is hold his hands from behind for helping him.

Kushi smiled and and went behing the boy and started to help him by holding his hands. He blushed lighlty he didnt like people touching him but he was okay with this since it was helping the younger male with his skills. He cut it up and smiled, "There...now did you make sure you hand was well?" He asked after taking the knife out of the others hands. He sat it down taking the others hand in his own looking at the wound closer. "It will be fine. I have one that looks the same." He said holding out his own hand showing the cuts all on his hands some deeper than others. He smiled up at the younger male, "It will be alright." He ruffled the boys head flashing him a bright smile.

Rezel noded shyly, he didnt expect that Chef Kushi is a warm person. Then Rezel admired and love him so much because of Chef Kushi personality. He does not care even if the chef was repeatedly interrupted by him. He wanted the chef 's attention to him . The first meeting was very pleasant but then he continued to be tortured by the chef . I mean tortured indirectly. Chef Kushi told him to do things. Like a slave , he was told to take it and take it , really tiring day for Rezel . But often he observed how Chef Kushi work . The chef really shrewd and clever in food processing.

One sunny day , Rezel greet Chef who was carrying boxes of groceries .

" Good morning , chef ~ "

Chef Kuchi answer without looking at Rezel . The chef then told Rezel to bring some boxes of groceries . Rezel agreed and lifted boxes of watermelon , but he felt heavy cardboard carrying the groceries. With the upset to see that Rezel really suck . Chef Kushi finally brought Rezel box and the box as well .

"Is that okay for bring two boxes ? "

Chef Kushi sighed and nodded his head . Rezel suddenly thought of the bully chef. Rezel tickles the chef side. Chef Kushi was shocked and shaking when carrying the boxes . Chef Kushi glanced at Rezel.

The chef glanced over at rezel and scowled, "Stop it! You are going to make me drop all of this!" he said walking away from rezel while grumbling. He sighed washing his hands from the dirt and smiled at the assitant chef. He nodded about the main dish then leaned against the counter. A blush formed over his cheeks from the distant feeling of Rezel tickling him. Why did he touch me in such a friendly way? I have been nothing but mean to him the past week. Kushi thought and he sighed, What if the boy has grown attached to him? Then he would have to be nicer... He rubbed his temples and looked up at Rezel who was putting the boxes away like he asked. He walked over to him and started helping him. "I know I have been mean the past few days...and i'm sorry." He said quietly to the boy. He pulled a heavy box from rezel. "I will try to be nicer to you..." He said putting it away. He hated talking to people. He was a shy person. Not to mention everytime someone talked to him all they could think about was the fact he was gay. He found out when he was young but he had been shy about it. Something went wrong last year at his old job and he was found out for dating the boss. He was told to leave for his sexuality ruined some of the customers food. He sighed thinking about it not wanting to bring up old scars.

Rezel looks Chef Kushi approached him and say something that makes Rezel happy. Rezel smiles after hear that and say,"Wow, that's good, chef.." Chef Kushi rolled his eyes with blushes face. Rezel really likes if this man showed up with this expression. Rezel started to washes dishes by his hands, being a chef is not easy he should do things like this. He sing a song with soft voices and turned his face to behind and looks at Chef Kushi. Chef Kushi looks like have many trouble in his mind. Rezel shouted, "Chef, don't sad. Ganbatte!"

Kushi looked back at the boy and sighed, "Dont yell okay?" He said back trying to be nice but in his mind he wanted to go over there and hit the kid. he sighed washing off his hands looking at them. He had a ring on his right hand that was always there. he never took it off. It belonged to his ex and they were supposed to get married. They started living together and everything even swapped each other matching rings. but...in the end one day Kushi came home from work and he smiled happy to hear from his lover that greeted him. but the man wasnt there. And he didnt get a greeting, that night he drank himself to sleep and didnt go to work for three days. He hated that time...it was the one and only time he let his guard down for someone and he wont ever do it again. That heart break was the last straw. That was why he was always so mean. And he didnt like talking to others or even touching them, it was too close for just coworkers.

Rezel always thinking about Chef Kushi. He knows they just meet for less than a week, but.. he like him very much. But, he feels he couldn't reach Chef Kushi's heart. That's awful! He rested his head in one of the chairs customers. It was late and everyone had left. He sighed. Love had never felt before rezel so hard to attain. Rezel not aware that Chef Kushi approached when he leaned his head on a chair and with his eyes closed.

Kushi looked at Rezel who was resting from the days work. He sighed and went to him and tapped his shoulder. "Rezel...do you want to just stay here tonight?" He asked blushing faintly at the thought. "I live above the store i'm renting it. Do you want to spend the night here?" He asked motioning to the door he was about to enter. He smiled softly at the other male, he had come to like the smaller kid and didnt mind lending him a futon for the night. He opened the door and smiled nodding, "Come on." he said softly and started up the stairs hoping the other male would catch the door behind him.

Rezel suprised and gawk as stupid person. Rezel thinks why the chef should care about him. But, he really really happy to hear that Chef Kushi asking him. Of course, Rezel will accept that with pleasure. He making cute face and pinch Chef Kushi cheeks. "Chef, you are so kind to meh~" he giggling and smiling to the other man.

Kushi sighed and walked ahead of Rezel, "Now i know i shouldnt have asked." He mumbled and opened the door to his apartment. He smiled softly taking off his shoes and slipping his shirt off over his head. He sighed and threw the grease stained shirt in the washer as he walked down the hall. "Make yourself at home!" he yelled back and walked into his room changing into a clean shirt and jeans.

Kushi sighed and walked ahead of Rezel, "Now i know i shouldnt have asked." He mumbled and opened the door to his apartment. He smiled softly taking off his shoes and slipping his shirt off over his head. He sighed and threw the grease stained shirt in the washer as he walked down the hall. "Make yourself at home!" he yelled back and walked into his room changing into a clean shirt and jeans.

Rezel nodded awkwardly to the chef. He go to the room beside Chef Kushi room. Actually, i'm not lost kid.. ^^;

He rolled around on the bed happily working from exhaustion. Rezel feels that Chef Kushi looked from outside with a strange look. Rezel asked while he is bitting a pillow, "what's wrong, Chef?" he hugs that thing and play like a kid.

Kushi raised an eyebrow and chuckled softly now dressed in a new shirt and a clean jeans. He nodded to Rezel. "Want some dinner?" He asked smiling softly going to the kitchen pulling out a rice cooker and some other things he needed. Along with seaweed and shirp and cucumber. "You arent allergic to anything are you? " He spoke loudly for rezel who was in the other room.

Kushi raised an eyebrow and chuckled softly now dressed in a new shirt and a clean jeans. He nodded to Rezel. "Want some dinner?" He asked smiling softly going to the kitchen pulling out a rice cooker and some other things he needed. Along with seaweed and shirp and cucumber. "You arent allergic to anything are you? " He spoke loudly for rezel who was in the other room. He washed off the knife and forks and bowls and started cooking some of the fish to a light brown.

Rezel looks at Chef Kushi and smiling, "Thankyou, Chef!" and then stopped rolling on bed. He wants to take a shower because his shirt already full of sweat. But, he just realize that he didnt bring some other clothes. He should be shame if dinner with Chef Kushi in not good looking. Then, Rezel said, "Umm.. i think i wont stay here tonight, sorry.."

Kushi looked back at rezel and smiled softly, "Then you can stay for dinner at least...If you wanted to take a shower I could lend you some clothes. Maybe some shorts and a hoodie" He said looking at the other male as he waved to him. "Come on dinner is needing to be made." He said and walked to the kitchen starting again gettng things ready. he wanted rezel to stay but he didnt, it was a mix. He liked the kid but the kid also got really annyoing if he wanted to be. Then again alot of people annoy Kushi. He sighed and started cutting up some vegies along with meat. He turned on the stove and the oven heating them up boiling water on the stove.

Rezel bowing to the Chef and said, "Thankyou very much! I appreciate your kindness, chef." Rezel amazed that Chef Kushi want to lend him a clothes. Then, he go to the bathroom and take a shower. He need to refresh himself. After that he took clothes from Chef Kushi and wear it happily. It was really match with Rezel. And then Rezel ran into the kitchen for want to help Chef Kushi cooking. He wants to payback what Chef Kushi do to him. "Hei, chef. I know i just amateur for this cook but i wanna help you,"

[Arekushisu]

Kushi smiled and nodded holding the knife out to him. "Okay...i'm almost done but there is somthing you can do." He said comfortable in the kitchen. He went around and looked at him. "come here.'He said and held out his hand to help him cut up the vegitable first time then let him do it himself.

He went to his work and he was watching Rezel when he cut his finger and he winced putting the knife down and going to the sink fast watching the blood start to pour out.

Rezel blushed when feel that Chef Kushi held his hand. After taught Rezel, Chef Kushi do another works. I cut food carefully and not experience. Chef Kushi stare at me and suddenly Chef Kushi's finger was cut. Rezel immediatly come closer to him when he wash his hands. "Ah, be careful.." Rezel took Chef Kushi's hand and kiss it softly. "It's okay.."

Kushi feeling the other male's lips on his hand he blushed and he pulled back his hand. "Yea its fine. I'm okay." He said to rezel waving off that it hurt and taking back his hand from the other. He smiled softly at him but he was uncomfortable with others touching him. He slipped the finger into his mouth sucking on the blood. "Go finish up over there." He said softly and nodded finishing up his own work.

Chef Kushi seems didn't like if Rezel touch his hands. His cheerful face was vanished and turn into a pale face. He looked to his his feet and didn't see Chef Kushi when he was talked. "Yes, Chef.." Rezel left the chef. Rezel did wrong act to the chef, he ashamed that he feels like an idiot. Rezel finished everything and his stomach growled. He was hungry. But he didn't want to make Chef Kushi feels burdened.

Kushi, not everything cooked, dished out two plates of food and smiled at rezel setting it down before him. "Why so sad?" He asked ruffling the others hair. "I'm fine really. Nothign to worry about." He said sittingdown across from rezel. He started to eat and looked up at the boy. "Eat. You helped me make it. You deserve to try it." He said looking at him watching him take a bite. He smiled ands started eating agian. When they were sfinished he took the plates and starte dwashing them.
