Shikamaru smiled as he looked at Neji. "Very well then. Until tomorrow I shall be waiting for you." he said before vanishing. He was certain he could get some advice from a sensei or two.

Neji sighed softly and nodded in agreement before quietly walking off, his ebony hair falling low and decorating his shoulders like silk. I should probably go get advice from Asuma-Sensei, Guy-Sensei probably wouldn't be the right one to go to about something like this...perhaps I can go to a friend? Maybe....Ino? Choji? Sakura? Temari? Asuma is probably the best choice given he knows him so well...whoever I can find first I'll ask for advice. Quietly, he stalked away, walking through town.

Shikamaru went home first and then decided to visit Kakashi sensei. He always noticed him reading those kind of books and figured he'd have some inside knowledge about it.

Neji sighed quietly and walked around town, glancing around, trying to find someone. Once seeing blonde hair, he walked over to the person, and when the person turned around, he noticed that it was Ino. "Um....hello Ino...can I talkj to you... please?" The Hyuga had never been so shy about something in his life.

Kakashi was sitting on a branch in a tree, near his house, his nose stuck in his perverted stories as usual.

Shikamaru wanders about before finding Kakashi sensei. "Hey sensei. Do you have a moment to spare? I need some helpful advice." he said being highly straight forward about it.

"And to think that this was going to be my day to read in peace....ah...what is a genius like you asking someone like me a question?" asked Kakashi, rolling his eyes a bit, before asking, "Planning on asking Temari or Ino out? Need some lady advice?"

Shikamaru nods as he heard what Kakashi asked him. "Uh yeah. How would you go about planning something two people can do together to get to know one another better?" he said. He figured it was best not to mention it was Neji and not Ino or Tamari.

"Well, if it's a date that you're trying to plan, you should go to a restaraunt, someplace she'd want to go of course, and just ask her about her life, and ask her how's she's been, and just ask little things about her. If she's more the ninja type, then you cold chat over a play-spar, and afterwards have a picnic out in the forest near the training grounds... if she's the really quiet type, you should just go cloud watching and ask simple questions." listed Kakashi with a small sigh, before asking, "Is my advice okay for you, Shikamaru?"

Shikamaru nods as he listened to Kakashi. "Thank you sensei. This is perfect information. I shall use it well." he said before taking off down the road. He felt since Neji was the silent type cloud watching was in favor. Though he would add some play-sparing to keep it interesting.

(Can you roleplay Ino for me??) Neji sighed quietly and walked around town, glancing around, trying to find someone. Ino turned around to look at him. "Oh wow is there something wrong? I should make the day the great Neji graces me with a question. A genius like you having trouble must be serious. I'll help you out so ask away." she said puffing out her chest proudly.

"Well.....Ino....how exactly do you get to know someone who you intend to be friends with?" muttered the usually all-mighty and powerful Hyuga branch member, lavander eyes glaring at the ground nervously.

Ino tilts her head a bit. "Well trying to make a friend is easy if you know the right things to do. Try starting up small conversations to get to know them better. Always show interest in some of their hobbies even if you aren't 100% into it. As a bonus always have their back because they will in return have yours."

"Well....it's not guaranteed that they will have your back forever, some people you can't trust because in the end they'll just hurt you...so what's the point of having friends if all that will happen is getting hurt in the end?" asked the Hyuga family branch member, his lavender eyes not fully meeting the Yamanaka family branch member's.

"That way of thinking will never get you a friend. If you think you have all the answers then don't bother me with your questions. I dislike those who don't even try and just assume they know how everyone will react. You may be called a genius but you aren't smart at all." Ino said walking away.

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

"Yeah, I know that." murmured the Hyuga male under his breath. In all honesty, that insult actually hurt a bit. With a small sigh, he begun to walk back to the Hyuga compound, so he could get some sleep.And people like Ino are the reason why I try not to make friends, because all they'll do is hurt you in the end, I didn't even need to be friends with Ino and she already hurt my feelings, the pain will only cut deeper if I make a strong bond with someone. He didn't know what to do, he never experienced something like friendship before, and it scared him, it made his stomach sick with confusion.

Shikamaru got home and began writing down his strategic plan for tomorrow. He hoped Neji would enjoy what he had planned. He set up a back up plan just in case the first fell apart or started to ruin. Once satisfied with his work he went to bed. He never put so much thought into something so simple. Shikamaru wonders if Neji meant more to him than he was willing to admit at the moment.

Neji sighed in defeat, once he got home, he entered his room and closed the door behind him, before ridding of his upper-garment before he went to bed. Allowing another sigh to escape his lips, he sat down on his bed and stared at the ceiling, not knowing what to do. He had never been faced with such a difficult challenge in his life. This required him to have compassion, something he wasn't used to. Wait...why do I care what happens?....Why does making friends with the Nara make me want to have compassion...?

Shikamaru kept waking out of his sleep. He found himself having a rather odd dream of him and Neji. He couldn't explain why he'd dream of the other in such a way. "I really might have gotten the wrong kind of advice from Kakashi-sensei. That must be it. I am putting far too much thought on things. Clear my mind and rest.." he mutters to himself trying to fall back to sleep

Neji stirred multiple times during his slumber, and it caused him to just stay awake and stare at the ceiling, his head hurting and his stomach aching terribly. His lavender eyes stared vacantly at the nothingness of his room. Neji's room was empty from really anything except his bed, his nightstand, a lamp, and the keepsakes he kept in the nightstand. It was because he was a Jonin, always on missions, and he was bound to die at some point, so he never kept anything due to that fact, because he found it rather pointless. If only Shikamaru was here to talk to...wait...why am I thinking of him again!? A small blush ravished his cheeks, and he turned on his side. Why?

Shikamaru became restless as he laid upon his bed. Twist and turn throughout the night and he was finally going to give up on sleeping altogether. Though his last option hit him and he tried a genjutsu to try to ease his mind. This has never happened before. His focal point was Neji and he wondered why.

Neji sighed softly before getting up from his sleep; he'd go see Shikamaru, he needed to talk to him. With a small sigh, he put on his shirt and he put his hair back in his loose ponytail. Making his way towards the Nara territory, he set up his byakugan and spiked his chakra, trying to signal Shikamaru.

Shikamaru was awake just sitting by his window. He had given up on getting back to sleep as of now. He stared up at the sky trying to find a few constellations or a shooting star. As he stares into the night sky he sensed someone approaching. He quickly looked around to see who it was. Much to his surprise it was Neji. He began to wonder if he was asleep again.

With a soft sigh, Neji approached the area and called, softly, not too loud, or not too low, though he knew Shikamaru was awake, "Shikamaru-san?" His voice seemed a bit desperate, and his voice trembled a bit, as if he were scared. He kind of was; he wasn't used to this type of emotion.

Shikamaru approached the other male and sighs. "Its late and you sound like you're trembling. Here follow me." he said taking hold of Neji's hand. He enters his room with the other and covers Neji with a sheet. That should warm you up. Anyway why are you here? Is something bothering you?" he asked as he knew something had been bothering him.
