LSoft lilac eyes stared downwards as a soft pink flush dusted his cheeks, he seemed somewhat scared or flushed, most likely a bit of both. He seemed a bit distant though he did respond, "I.....couldn't sleep.....and......I didn't know what to do...I got scared...and.....something told me to come to you..." For a genius,and the fact that he was on e of the most skilled Jonin around, he seemed spooked when he wasn't with his team. Neji wasn't the same without his team-mates around, he was less dominant and a bit scarder. He wasn't used to having to rely on others, but he was legitly scared

"Don't worry so much. I will stay up since I couldn't sleep either. We can keep each other's company until one of us falls asleep. It'll probably help the other do the same." Shikamaru suggests as he sits beside Neji. He wasn't sure what to talk about but he had to think quick. "So read any good books lately?"

"Not particularly, the stores these days seem to only carry those idiotic Icha Icha Paradise novels written by that perverted Sanin." sighed the slightly older male before staring up at the sky, looking at the twinkling stars and the moon, before saying, "I wish that I were a star...they are carefree and so...open and they're just lovely...people pray for their help and give them hope to make it through another day...I wish that I could be something as fine as a star."

"A star....? That's an odd thing to wish for. Its just gas in the air up there. Are you sure that's such a good thing to be?" he asked thinking far too logical about it. Shikamaru looked around the room and sighs softly. He wasn't sure what to talk about next.

"I'd love to know why you would want to be a cliud? You always said how you wanted to be a cloud a few years ago...why is that? Clouds are just kind of there too..." sighed Neji softly under his breath, glancing up at Shikamaru, the veins on his face transitioning back into a soft complexion, his soft lilac eyes, staring distantly.

Shikamaru was surprised Neji remembered such a thing. "Eh well I was always fascinated by the fact that something so thin could look so fluffy from down here. I would be able to float from above and change colors. I could even create rain." he said with a soft chuckle.

"And yet, all clouds are gasses as well..." with a soft sigh, he glanced distantly at the sky with a bit of an unreadable emotion in his eyes.

Shikamaru realized what Neji was getting at. "I suppose you have a point. Then you could be the star among my cloud." he said with a light chuckle

A soft blush feathered the older male's cheeks, not really knowing how to respond to that besides saying, "It's hard to see clouds at night."

"I suppose you have a point but its still there and I would be that one cloud that stays right beside you as a star." Shikamaru said with a chuckle.

Neji stayed quiet this time, definitely not knowing what to say, though he continued to stare at the stars endlessly.

Shikamaru stayed silent as well as he sat beside Neji. He hadn't noticed but he was feeling sleepy. So before he knew it he was sound sleep on Neji's shoulder.

A surprised look entranced the Hyuga's face as he felt the Nara sleep against him. With a soft sigh, the older male lightly picked the Nara up in his arms before laying on his back, cradling the male so that he'd be comfortable.

Shikamaru whispers Neji's name in his sleep. He was dreaming of the other and it was a sweet dream to top. He hope tomorrow goes well with them bonding.

A ruby stain colored the older male's cheeks as he heard his name mumbled by the younger male. Shikamaru... And with that, the lilac-eyed man closed his eyes, pulling the younger closer, and falling into sleep moments later.

Morning soon came about and Shikamaru inches closer to the warmth he was feeling. It was only when he realized the warmth was from another person did he awaken. He noticed it was Neji. 'He didn't go home... well isn't that cute of him..' he thinks staying still so he wouldn't wake him. Watching Neji's sleeping face was more exciting than any clouds he's ever seen.

Neji's face was peaceful when he slept, it was like a blank canvas, that could seemingly be painted any color by the way he was treated that day. There was a soft pink stain on his cheeks as he slept, and that was mostly because Shikamaru's heat made his body get a lot hotter and it made his body flush in color. He mumbled incoherant words in his sleep.

Shikamaru smiled as he brushed some loose strands of Neji's hair from his face. He then closes his eyes falling into a light sleep. This was one way to spend time together. He knew they both were much talkers so this was perfect. Shikamaru realized he was worried for nothing.

After a few moments past when Shikamaru woke up, Neji opened his eyes, rubbing at them to get the sleepiness away. Yawning softly, he blinked to try and see what was happening around him. When he saw Shikamaru, he blushed vividly, not knowing what to say or do.

Shikamaru opens his eyes upon feeling Neji move about. "Oh your awake. It seems we were both able to fall asleep without fail after all." he said with a small yawn. Slowly sitting up he glanced over to Neji. "Are you hungry?"

Neji rubbed his forehead when he sat up, his lilac eyes showing slightly confusion. Whe he heard the question, he responded, "No...I'm not." He said, a bit of softness to his voice as he didn't make eye-contact.

Shikamaru was confused as to why Neji seemed to be acting extra cold towards him. He ignores it as he gets up from his bed. "You can do what you want. My folks aren't here so roam if you want to." he said leaving the room

With a sigh, Neji just remained in the room, not wanting to move. Neji was more of a one-place type of person, and didn't really like adapting to new things if he didn't have to. His lilac eyes stared endlessly at the wall, not saying anything, just staring. He felt so confused as to what he felt at the moment.

Shikamaru returned to the room with some food. He looked at Neji a bit worried. "Are you alright? You seem a bit dazed out for a moment." he asked sitting beside him

"N-no...I'm f-fine." Neji tried to say firmly, as if he was trying to believe his own words when he said it. He curled up in a tight ball, his darkened brown hair falling loosely out of it's band, causing his hair to splay all oer his body, as if it were a veil.
