Neji nodded quietly, walking silently out of the room before slipping his ninja sandals on. He waited quietly for the younger male to get his hoes on, "Can we go to the river?" questioned the Hyuga quietly.

Shikamaru began to run towards Neji. "I am ready to go. Lets head to the river if that's where you decided to go." he says walking outside with Neji at his side. He was curious as to why he wanted to go to the river.

Neji walked quietly next to the Nara as they headed towards the river. His long hair softly drifted in the light breeze, the ebony strands coming out of their hair-tie, the long hair almost like that of a woman's. When Neji walked, it was similar to how in some way similar to the way that Sasuke used to walk. Once they got to the river, Neji's eyes seemed to light up a bit.

A soft sigh escaped his lips before he kneel down next to the water, splashing his face with the icy water of the river, refreshing by the cool feeling. Neji needed something to wake him up, and the water would probably do it.

Shikamaru was feeling on edge. He couldn't tell what Neji was thinking. His behavior had thrown Shikamaru in a whirl as he didn't know what to do. 'If I just do as he likes then this should work out fine. Just have to last the day without fail.' he thinks to himself

There weren't many things that Neji actually liked to do. The Hyuga was such a secluded man, and he never really found the time to live a simple life, and really learn to live at all. He had only focused on training, and it was something he was good at. He was often away on missions, or he was training with Hinata.

Sighing softly, the lilac-eyed male dipped his face in the water, his hair splaying out in the water. After a minute or so, he lifted his head out of the water, his hair dripping, and his face holding a rather happy look compared to the look that was usually on his face.

Shikamaru watched his Neji carefully. He's worry if the other fell into the water and got hurt. Upon seeing the new expression on Neji's face, Shikamaru was feeling more at ease. "So how are you feeling?" he asked

"I'm feeling...content." the older male murmured softly, smiling thinly, "Refreshed...the water is very....cold, it feels nice." The Hyuga was having difficulty explaining why he felt happy.

"Well you seem happy and that's a good thing. I am glad to see you aren't giving me the cold shoulder anymore. It makes talking to you easier." he says

The older male blushed softly, not knowing how to respond to that. He didn't want to admit that he was a mean person most of the time...it made him...hate himself more than he already did.

"So where shall we go to next? You name it and we shall go there." Shikamaru says as he was feeling better than ever.

"I don't really know....you can choose." said the older male quietly, rubbing the back of his neck quietly, blushing softly.

Shikamaru thought a bit. He then takes hold of Neji's hand. "Follow me and you'll be surprised to see where we go. I am sure this will be something you might like." he says taking Neji to a waterfall

Neji followed the Nara quietly, a soft smile on his face as they walked towards the waterfall. Slowly, he intertwined his fingers with Shikamaru's.

"Here we are Neji. You can even swim here if you want to. I thought it would be a good place to show you. Do you like it?" Shikamaru asked noticing their fingers intertwined. 'Wait... that's something a couple would do... does Neji think we are... or maybe I am over thinking...' he thinks to himself

Neji just didn't really know any better. He saw couples hold hands, and cuddle, and he thought that they were just friends. He didn't understand the difference at all. Neji smiled thinly before saying lightly, "I like swimming...."

"Then shall we go for a dip? I don't mind if you don't. This is where I enjoy cloud watching the best so no one knows of this spot but me." Shikamaru says

"Hmm...sure." said Neji quietly, looking at his toes quietly before bending down to stick his hand in the water to feel how hot or cold it was. "Hmm...it's actually rather warm...this season is nice, isn't it?"

"Yeah its a perfect time of year to go swimming in a place like this. Couldn't ask for a more perfect day to spend with someone as amazing as you." Shikamaru says as he removes his vest. He loosens his hair tie and stands there in only his mesh shirt and pants."Neji...?"

Neji quietly looked at Shikamaru before slipping out of his gi, and his pants, along with the mesh underneath it, leaving him in his boxers. Carefully, he undid his hair before asking, responding to Shikamaru calling his name, "Yes, Shikamaru?"

Shikamaru was now removing his mesh shirt and pants when he glanced up at Neji. "Uh, just making sure you are still going to swim with me." he says despite not being what he actually wanted to say. He was caught in the awe of how good looking Neji was.

Neji's skin was like porcelain, and was rather smooth looking, with a slight glossy look to it. His lavender eyes were soft, and had a vacant expression. A soft pink blush came over his cheeks. He wasn't quite sure whether or not to strip of his boxers, his long hair draping over his body like a black curtain. "Umm...Shikamaru-san...? His voice held a bit of a shake to it, nervous.

Shikamaru was now only in his boxers as well. He walked over to Neji and smiles. "Is everything alright?" he asked noticing the nervousness in the other.

"Um...yeah...should we get in the water now?" questioned the Hyuga quietly, blushing softly, trying not to look over the other's pure caramel skin, his eyes diverting and staring at the ground, refusing to make eye-contact.

"Uh yeah. That sounds better than us both just standing around." Shikamaru said heading to the water. He quickly gets in figuring it would 'cool' him down.

Neji sighed quietly. He and Shikarmaru were so different, though they were both considered geniuses, and yet they were also the same in some ways. His pasty skin contrasted Shikamaru's, his being a soft alabaster color, while Shikamaru's was a beautiful, rich caramel color. The Hyuga was almost jealous of the Nara's beauty, though he hated to admit it. Shikamaru was handsome...nice...sweet...loving...and the Hyuga didn't know how to feel about it. The brunette was obviously flustered, his lilac eyes diverting a bit as he slipped into the water, his hair splaying upwards as his figure sank beneath the cold, cooling pool.
