A soft sigh escaped Dan's lips and he passed the cake to Takashi. Maybe he really should work out... Nope, not happening. If there was one subject Dan didn't like in school, it was gym class. All that running around in circles, basketball, football, lifting weighs - it wasn't for Dan. He'd rather spend more time at math or something...

 

The brunette looked at Takashi and smiled. "Thanks, and happy birthday~" With this, the thin teen stood on tip-toes and gave the other a short, soft kiss. This would be the first present..

Takashi smiled at the soft sweet lips on his and he bit his lips as the other pulled away. Continuing to walk to his house he remember. "Ohh babe. Thanks for skipping school to be with me." Dan never really skipped school unless it was important or he was with a cold. Other than those reasons he wouldn't skip. That made the red head smiled... That easily meant the the brunette thought he was important. That his birthday meant more to him that Dan's academics. That was really heart warming. The dark green eyes clouding with delight.

Dan only shook his head. "It's way more important to be with you than to go to school... Besides, this is one day. It won't change much.." He answered, remembering his mom's expression when he said he wanted to skip school. Once he told the reason, she didn't want to let him at first, but after some time, the brunette managed to prove his mom it wasn't a big deal to skip one day of school. He really wanted to be with Takashi on his birthday. It was important, after all.

Smile widening he nodded before looking ahead once more his house in view. "The best thing is that we'll be alone. Mom's doing overtime tonight." he announced with happiness. To not have his mom home would be good. Though the get together would still occur. He only wished his family would leave much sooner than expected. The taller teen was just content with his boyfriend. "Though...." he started a frown making itself present on his face. "My dad will be here later in the day." he didn't know how his dad would react to finding out the brunette was more than just a friend, but he didn't really care for the man's opinion....not at all actually.

A slight smile made its way to Dan's face. Alone, hm? That really didn't sound too bad... Though, the smile was soon replaced by a frown once the red head mentioned his dad. What was he even like?.. Wait, had Dan ever met his dad? He didn't think so... The brunette slightly shook his head and looked at Takashi. "It doesn't matter... We have enough time alone, right?" He asked with a smile back on his face, the paper bag still in his hand.

"Yeah...but not enough...I want just you not anyone else." he voiced before glancing down at the paper bag his boyfriend held. He guessed that was his second present. Smiling he walked to the door before looking at Dan. "It's unlocked you can open it." he said waiting for the brunette so he could go place the cake onto the counter.

Dan blushed slightly at Takashi's words. So protective... Though he was even before the two had become a couple. Soon after, they reached the red head's house and Dan did as he was told. He opened the door and slipped inside, holding the door open so that Takashi could enter himself. Ah, the amazing warmth that greeted them... Way better than being outside, that's for sure. With a smile on his face, the brunette waited until his boyfriend came inside so that he could give his second present to him.

The red head walked in trailing into the kitchen. Once there he set the cake down onto the counter before slowly coming back into the living room. He wrapped his arm around the other's waist kissing the lips of the brunette's. "Babe....what's in the bag?" he asked pulling at the paper bag. He wondered what his boyfriend had inside it. He knew that Dan had a hard time picking him out a present....that's why he knew that it would be something good.

The brunette softly kissed back, though the kiss was a bit too short for his own liking.. Takashi's question made the thin male smile as he passed it to the red head. "Hope you like it..~" Dan said, not letting his eyes off the other. Would Takashi be satisfied with this present? Or would he be disappointed in his choise of present?.. Well, Dan could only hope the red head actually liked what he got. Finding an album with unpublished songs was quite the catch.

Takashi took the bag that was handed to him and smiled....well he would just have to see what was inside. Looking at the brunette before opening the bag he took out what seemed to be another CD of....oh! Avenged Sevenfold...though what shocked the red head was that this was a rare CD....it was of unpublished songs they decided not to put into their other CD's. Smiling widely he hugged the other to him kissing Dan's lips once more. "Babe! How'd you get this?" he asked suprisement in his voice.

The brunette bit his lip slightly while Takashi took out the CD. Once a smile lit up the red head's face, Dan exhaled and smiled back, kissing back once the other kissed him. The smaller teen wrapped his arms around the red head's neck, not wanting to let go just yet. Still, he had to answer the question... "It wasn't hard... And besides, it was for you. Nothing would be hard to do if it meant getting you happy!" The brunette answered with a soft smile, looking at the other. Guess he hit the right mark this time, mm?

Well....that was nice to say. Heavens I love this guy. Takashi hugged the other closely again pulling away. "So what's it gonna' be? Are you going to make me some breakfast and the I could eat a piece of the huuuuuge cake you baked me?" the red head wondered was this the other's first time baking a cake....or one that colossal in general. He bet that it tasted good....the brunette was good at cooking after all.

With a smile never leaving his face, Dan let a soft giggle escape his lips. "Sure, any request for breakfast?~" This was such a nice atmosphere... Takashi was happy, and it always made Dan feel happy as well. If a smile was on Takashi's face, Dan was bound to get one sooner or later as well... Of course, the same went for sadness. It seemed like Dan shared his emotions with Takashi, and the other did the same. It was really weird, but amazing at the same time.

Hm...did the red head have any requests...? Hell he didn't even know what was in the refrigerator to be exact seeing as they always ate fast food....."Uh....no. I doubt we even have food in the fridge." he said a slight furrow of his brow. Walking into the kitchen he opened the fridge to just see juice, cheese, vegetables.....which was clearly bad. Groaning he took the items from the refrigerator and dumped it. "I guess skip breakfast." he said sheepishly.

With a soft sigh Dan shook his head. "I can run and buy something for breakfast if you want?" He asked, though he highly doubted the red head would agree on this. They could always just order some pizza or something. Though it was weird not to have any products good for cooking anything at home. Well, it was probably because Dan's fridge was always filled with various supplied, since both him and his mom liked cooking a lot.

"Are you crazy? I'm not going to let you go to the store just to cook me something. Plus it's fine...I really just want a slice of cake~" he walked opened the freezer to pull out chocolate ice cream so to eat it with the colossal sweet. Of course they would have some....his mother just had to have it. Sighing he watched to see what Dan would do. The brunette could be stubborn sometimes....quite stubborn to be precise.

With a sheepish smile the brunette only nodded. "Fine, but we're ordering a pizza later, okay?" This was his only condition... This time. It was Takashi's birthday, so he would just go as the red head wanted. Only today, never again. Maybe he should start making bentos for the other? This would give him an excuse to cook more, and Takashi would get home-made food, which he probably doesn't get at home. If he did, there would at least be enough supplies for salads or sandwiches.

The red head smiled and nodded to Dan. He was still so bossy....So cute Takashi thought before grabbing a knife from it's holder and wiping it off before handing it to the other. "I get a bigger slice than you...it's my birthday after all....hm now that I think of it, does that mean I have to share my cake with the others that come?" he asked Dan a slight frown marring his face. Dan had made it for him no one else...right? Or did he make it this big so others could also have a piece.

The brunette watched as the other took a knife to cut the cake. He nodded at his first statement and frowned slightly at the question. "Well, if there's any left, sure?.." The brunette made this while thinking of Takashi... He didn't exactly want for the other to share it with someone. Dan slightly puffed his cheeks while looking at the red head. Did he really think he would make a cake on his birthday so Takashi could share it with the others? Of course not! Nonsense. Dan made it for Takashi and Takashi only.

"Oh... So I have to share it?" Takashi was being stingy. Dan had made this for his birthday and even though people usually shared their birthday cake with other guests...well the red head wasn't most people. He always found it a bit funny that people come over to your party with no presents but insist to laugh and eat the food and cake that was made specifically for someone else. It was stupid indeed. Though Dan was his boyfriend...plus he made the cake and bought him a present. The older teen didn't mind sharing with the younger one. Looking to Dan to cut the cake he held the knife to him.

Dan blinked a few times and tilted his head. "If you ask me... I'd rather have you not..." He muttered out, looking away from the red head. This was stupid, right? Of course it was! People usually share their cake on birthdays, it's not like when one gets a cake, he eats it all... But why was it that Dan wanted for Takashi to do just so? With a slightly confused look, Dan looked at the knife held out to him. After a few moments, the smaller teen took it and let a chuckle escape his mouth. So he'd be the one to cut it? In that case... Dan then cut out a huge piece of cake and passed it to Takashi, making sure to get a good amount of berries on top as well, then a slightly smaller one for himself, leaving only about 3/4 or the cake left. It would be gone soon..

Takashi took the plate that the brunette handed to him. It looked soooo good~ he could tell that Dan had took off time from his day and made it with much effort. Smiling slightly he grabbed a bowl and an ice cream scooper. Carefully opening the ice-cream he dug him some out to place into the bowl. "So you like chocolate ice-cream? Want any?" he asked. They had only chocolate so he'd hate it if Dan wanted some ice-cream but hated chocolate.

Dan smiled softly at the question. "Chocolate ice cream with a chocolate cake? Sure, sounds amazing~" He laughs softly in the end. That was a lot of chocolate, hm? But, the brunette couldn't say he didn't like chocolate... More like, he loved it. A bar of chocolate was sure to always brighten the mood, it also helped with studies. Chocolate was probably the most delicious thing in the world! But of course, it wasn't really healthy... So, even if he wanted to, sometimes Dan would stop himself and munch on some fruits. They were good, too.

Takashi smiled at Dan before pushing the ice-cream toward him and watching as he placed some into his platel before returning it to the freezer. Glancing at the clock the red head could see that it was still early. An hour had passed already? He took a spoon and walked into the living room before plopping onto the couch intent on watching a little TV. Turning the channel to a comedy show he waited for his boyfriend to sit beside him. Takashi planned on kissing the other senseless after eating up the sweets.

The brunette just placed his own portion into the plate and followed Takashi into the living room. Once there, he sat down on the sofa next to his boyfriends and scooted on closer, making the red head to put his arm over the thin teen's shoulders. He wanted to stay like this for a while, at least. Once he was comfortable, Dan took a bite of the cake and closed his eyes, letting out a hum of delight. The cake definitely went out well.
