Takashi was now dressed and he looked himself over in the mirror. He looked decent enough just to go to the camping trip meet. It was nice actually to be able to go somewhere and not be so depressed all the time. Pathetic is all the red head could think. He was pathetic for being miserable for over three years over ot one person. Sighing the man...yep he was 21. Now considered and adult and not just legal. Walking to the car he got into the car with his mom. Every since that day he barely mumbled a word to the women, only giving her one syllable answers.

 

Caral now once in a while checked on Takashi to see how he was doing, once she first found out Dan and her son lost contact she was happy, but in the long run she regretted it. Her son just wasn't the same any more. The boy had let one person literally pull him half way in the grave. How could he have loved the brunette that much? Driving toward the camp meet she smiled slightly, this could help her son get his mind off the brunette. The women was happy she had read about this and was able to convince the other to leave.

Dan looked through the window as the two were driving through the streets. Oh, that's where Takashi used to live, mm?.. The brunette still wondered sometimes, how was the other doing right now, but those thoughts were quickly pushed away by Jack. The black-haired guy was his new life... Dan felt like they were the true thing, that almost nothing could part them now. And the other seemed like he was planning something big. Something really big for this trip. Dan was very curious about what his lover could've been doing, what was he planning for all this time.. A small part of the brunette thought about the possibility of Jack cheating, but that would never be true. Ever. The two loved each other too much for that to happen.

 

With a small sigh the brunette leaned back against the chair, his lover glancing over at him. "Everything okay?" The man asked, while Dan just nodded with a smile. So caring.... He thought. Dan must've fallen asleep somewhere along the trip, because Jack had to wake him up once they were arrived. "Come on, baby, rise and shine~" He said with a chuckle and lightly pecked his lips. Dan yawned softly and smiled before getting out of the car. There they were...

Takashi was looking out the window as the scenery passed by. A trip to a mountain huh? I know it will be cold I should have brought my best winter clothes. Takashi was more than excited. Every since the brunette had stopped talking to him his life had crashed....in many ways. The redhead didn't finish his senior year in high school, which he regretted now. He was never college material, but not finishing high school was a pride damage. He didn't have a diploma so jobs were really hard to find for him, albeit he had managed to get one through connections with his father. The red head now worked as a construction worker. Times were pretty tough, he wished he could have went to college and got an easier type job. One where he just barely had to do anything and get tons of money.

 

Sighing the boy looked up to see a gathering of people. Well....Takashi guessed this was the place. Smiling slightly he opened the door and rushed out before his mother had completely stopped the car. He was ready to get away from the town he had moved to, his mother and his depression. Walking closer to the place he glanced around. It seemed like a little over two hundred people were here. That was a nice amount. Maybe for once the man could think of something else than his childhood lover. Maybe he could actually find someone else.

Dan and Jack both started walking towards the entrance to the main field, their hands connected, fingers tangled together. The brunette loved the way his hand seemed to fit right into his lover's. With a smile the thin male looked around, then glanced at the sky. "It's a beautiful day, don't you think?" The smaller asked with a soft smile, while the other nodded in agreement. "Though you're still more beautiful.." Jack countered, a light grin on his face. Those words made a light blush appear on Dan's face. How was the other able to say these things without any embarrassment at all?

 

With slightly red cheeks the brunette just dragged his grinning lover along, tilting his head once he saw a candy shop. "Jack... Let's get some cotton candy~!" Dan said with a bright smile on his face. Little did he know, Jack was always defeated by that smile. Gosh, his lover could've asked for him to jump off a cliff, and if he had that smile, he'd do it. With a slight smile the older male nodded and, without letting the other off, walked to the candy shop. "Two cotton candies please." The black-haired male asked the smiling cashier, who immediately turned to make them. He'd make sure this day was amazing for both of them, that was for sure.

Takashi glanced around more at the scenery. Laughter and chatter filling the air as the other's around him talked. He decided to walk around to look at the area more. Stepping around some while excusing himself around others he hummed once he saw small shops set outside to buy something. He didn't eat breakfast so he was actually looking forward for some food. Walking to a worker he waited to the man regarded him.

 

"Uh hi...what all do you sell here?" the red head asked. He would be fine with just a turkey sandwich if that was all they served.

 

"Um well...we have hot dogs, turkey sandwich, nachos, chicken tenders-" the man went on and on. The redhead smiled until the male was done.

 

"Uh...I'll just go with the nachos." he voiced as the worker nodded and fixed him a plate. Takashi placed the money onto the counter before turning around and continuing to walk down the direction he was viewing all the stands, eating on his nachos.

The two went on, Dan looking around with a cheerful look on his face. It's been awhile since he last did something like this and he was more than happy to do it with his lover... The brunette took a piece of his cotton candy and glanced over at Jack, noticing a small piece of his own candy stuck to his nose. The view made Dan giggle and he reached out to wipe it off. "You had a piece of candy there~" He explained to the confused male. Soon both of them fell into laughter, Dan clutching onto his stomach, tears from laughter forming in his eyes.

 

This really was going great, mm? Once the two had calmed down, only small chuckles coming from their mouths, they continued walking, their hands once again connected. "Hey, I heard there were hot springs somewhere near, mayeb you'd like to go?" Jack offered, looking at his lover. The idea obviously sounded amazing to Dan, since he nodded, his eyes seemingly shining. "I'd love to! I've never even been to ones..." The brunette confessed, a light blush on his face. That was a slightly too energetic reaction, wasn't it?

 

Though Jack didn't seem to mind at all. Instead, he smiled softly and lifted Dan's chin up, connecting their lips for a soft kiss. Well, seemed like they would be going to hot springs afterwards!

Takashi walked around hearing a loud energetic laugh. Smiling he turned to the source of noise and looked to the brunette that was kissing a black haired man. He smiled....oh what he would do to have HIS brunette with him again. Slowly looking away he caught the sight of something epic. They had a hot spring! Quickly walking to the direction he followed the steam from the waters.

 

He was enjoying his time so far, though if he was with someone the red head would be having more fun, but he wouldn't let that fact bother him. Hm... I really need this. I'm in need for a bit of relaxing. The male thought. It would be warm and feel really good over his tensed muscles. He would enjoy this.

Dan smiled softly after the kiss had ended. "Actually... Can we go noow?" He asked, innocently tilting his head to the side. This always worked on Jack. Watching his lover struggle, Dan tried his best not to fall into laughter again. After a few moments the taller male nodded, a soft sigh escaping his lips. "Okay, okay... You and your demonic weapons, sheesh!" Jack joked, the two chuckling again.

 

Both of them then turned to walk towards the hot springs, Dan tossing the trash from the cotton candies into the trash bin as they walked past it. With a soft smile the brunette almost dragged his lover into the building, looking around in awe. Wow... It already seemed relaxing, and they haven't even reached the hot springs themselves! As Dan was looking around, he spotted a guy with shaggy red hair and for a mere second he thought of Takashi, but quickly shook the thought away. They haven't contacted in years... Now it was Jack, not Takashi.

Takashi continued to walk seeing the hot springs ahead. The steam was hot and he was just ready to relax until it was ten, which was supposed to be their departing time. glancing to the right he saw the changing rooms where most just strip to wrap a towel around their waist.

 

Turning in that direction he walked forward to grab a towel. Continuing to walk he stopped before taking his shirt off. He still was in shape as always even though he could have been in better shape if he was to stop thinking of the brunette all the time. Groaning as he stretched he soon removed his pants and boxers before wrapping the towel around himself. He would head to the waters soon.

Dan and Jack were talking amongst themselves as they bought the tickets, then headed to the dressing room. Once there, Dan glanced around, seeing lots of men with only towels around their waists. The brunette just shrugged and dragged his lover along to get ready as well. The smaller male took off his shirt and looked at Jack, who's just taken off his shirt as well. He had some nice muscles, that was definitely what Dan could say. He trailed his eyes over the abs, the toned skin, his eyes reaching a smirk on his face. "Gosh, it's like you're seeing my body for the first time..." Jack teased, making Dan blush. He couldn't help it! With a slight pout on his face the brunette just took off the rest of his clothing, then wrapped a towel around his waist, turning to his lower. They were both ready now... Jack simply took Dan's hand and walked off, not caring about the disgusted or confused glances others were giving them. Now it was only those two...

Takashi was trailing behind the oh-so-cute couple. He sneered looking as the brunette lay his head amongst the black haired male's chest. Frowning the man chuckled to himself. It won't last long. That pretty little brunette of yours will one day forget about you. He will then go about his studies and never think of you again. Ever. Takashi mocked the taller male from the couple in his head. Sighing he looked away. Pathetic....just because his relationship didn't work wouldn't mean that for the next.

 

Continuing to trail the couple they were at the waters in a little time. It was beautiful the water fell from the top like a waterfall sand rocks lined the bottom. The scent was mixed fragrances but was really relaxing, maybe a citrus. Finally he'd get a chance to relax.

Dan streched slightly when the two had reached the hot springs themselves. Even the scent was amazing... The only thing that bothered him was the guy who was trailing behind them all this time. With a slight frown he turned to his lover. "Let's get in~?" He asked, one hand already on his own towel. Once the black-haired male nodded, Dan got rid of the towel and slipped into the hot water, sighing in pleasure. Soon the other male was next to him as well, softly pecking his cheek. "Dan, you wanna do something else before we leave for that trip?" Jack asked, while the smaller bit his lip slightly. Did he?.. Nah, it was warm here... "Nope, not really~" The brunette then answered, a smile on his face, even though he felt like he was being watched...

Takashi stopped....as he watched the brunette...that voice...he could never forget it. It was no different than when he was younger. Now staring at the brunette while he jumped into the steaming water only made his eyes widen. Hair longer...a little taller and a prettier complexion of skin..?!? "Dan?" his voice came out without permission. It couldn't be...this couldn't be real. Dan....Dan had really forgotten about him and found another lover. Was that the reason he had stopped contacting him, because he had found someone else? His mother was right....love was just poison wrapped beautifully. It would never last.

Dan was slightly confused as someone called out for him and he looked around, spotting the red head from before, now staring at him. Wait... He could still remember that voice. "Takashi?" Dan asked out, lightly gripping onto his lover's hand. Why now? Why here? Why him?.. While these questions ran through the brunette's mind, Jack tilted his head to look at the guy that seemed to catch his lover's attention. He lightly glared at him, as if provoking him to try and take Dan from him. He pulled Dan a bit closer and scowled. The brunette called this guy Takashi, hm? He'd told him about this red head... He wasn't supposed to be here.

The red head glanced toward the dark haired male as he gripped Dan closer to him, his eyes set into a glare as he scowled at him. Takashi eyes saddened as he once again looked at the brunette, tears gathering. Quickly turning around he walked away from the couple. So he was right....that brunette was Dan.... and he had found himself a 'better' lover. Shaking his head he trailed back through the way in which they entered.

Takashi get a hold of yourself. You can't let this ruin your trip. If Dan is here fine...if Dan had forgotten you, then fine. If Dan had found someone else.......fine. he continued to repeat this in his head.

The brunette quietly watched his ex-boyfriend walk away, then turned to Jack. "Jaack... Did you scare him away?._" Dan asked, a small pout on his face. The black haired male lightly rolled his eyes and hugged the brunette by his waist. "Can't help it... He looked like he wanted to take you away..." The older muttered out, making Dan chuckle. So Jack was jealous, eh? "Silly, I won't leave you... I told you, it just... Didn't work out with Takashi." Dan finished, feeling the grip around his waist tighten. A soft sigh escaped the brunette's lips and he looked at his lover. "Jack, we're going to stay together, you hear me?" At this the tall male just nodded and leaned in for a soft peck on his lips. "Okay, baby... Sorry 'bout this."

Takashi was hurt...he was really hurt. He knew that he shouldn't have ever just given his heart to one person. The red head knew that the black haired male would keep the brunette in his arms and that Dan wouldn't ever come back to him. He wouldn't care...they were just high school kid's at the time. Love was something they weren't ready for.

 

Banging his hand against the wall the man sat onto the floor gripping his hair. The brunette had promised...and this was their first contact in two years and about seven month. The other acted as if he was nothing...maybe it's true that they didn't work out as boyfriends....but...they were suppose to be friends for heaven sake's. It seemed like that had also been forgotten.

Dan soon relaxed in his lover's arms, the hot steaming water helped a lot, too. The brunette just closed his eyes and put his head against the older's chest. It was warm and nice... But a part of him wanted to be with Takashi. He had to at least properly break up, didn't he? With a sigh the smaller male turned to his lover. "I'll be right back... Just need to tell Takashi something~" Dan promised, while Jack nodded slightly. He didn't like the idea of his lover being with that guy. But, well,there was nothing he could do.

 

Dan, meanwhile, got out of the hot springs and wrapped a towel around his waist before walking out to find Takashi.

Leaned against wall head between his arms, Takashi silently cried. This was pathetic...he was acting like a girl... A punk all over one person, but this was love. No matter how tough one was love could easily break them down...it was poison after all. Hands continuing go pull his messy patch of red hair he heard footsteps as people walked passed him, some whispering about him. It was none of their fucking business...he hated everything at this point. Everything!

Dan walked around until he finally spotted the red head. “Takashi...“ He muttered out before walking up to him. The taller male seemed too be crying... It couldn't have been his fault, right? Of course, no way Takashi would break down about something like this... They both understood that it didn't work out. That was why the two stopped contacting...

At the sound of the familiar boy Takashi just quieted more, his sniffles silent as he listened to the male above him. What did he want? Did he perhaps come to rub it in that he had found another lover? Sneakily wiping the tears away he looked up at the other. This was a time for fun not depression. The trip was suppose to cheer him up. Let him see and meet other people not to cry over the brunette that he was once in love with...As if I could lie to myself. I'm still in love with Dan. I can't help it. Sighing the male looked to the still petit twenty year old. "What is it?" he asked emotions drained from his voice.

Dan lightly bit his lip at the emotionless voice. “Takashi, don't tell me you didn't move on?..“ The brunette asked, a light frown on his face. “Really, you should find someone else, Takashi.“ He said, observing the other's reaction to this. Takashi wasn't supposed to act like this at all... He was supposed to move on, just like Dan did. They would all be happy this way.

At those words his heart broke. Dan had just admitted to moving on....like completely out of love with him now. That he should give up on him and find someone of his own because he planned on staying with his current lover. Did the brunette not remember their promise....a promise they made three years ago....that night the petit teen had said he would die if he did? It was all lies! If the red head was to have died Dan would have had the black haired male to think about and not him.... Takashi wasn't thinking perfectly now, but how could one expect him to?

 

Slowly standing the taller man looked the other in his green eyes. "I don't need your help I can cope on my own." taking a step to get away from the other.

Dan felt slightly shaken at those words. What did he do wrong to Takashi?.. “Takashi?.. What do you mean?..“ The brunette asked, biting his lip after. Really, he wanted for Jack to be here with him. The tall man's warmth was always so comforting for Dan... The thin male didn't want for Takashi to just walk away. He didn't want that...

Takashi glanced to the side at the brunette and let out an unamused sneer shaking his head. "Mom was right....you never loved me as much as you said you did. It was all a lie to keep me by your side." tears was trying to spill again but the red head wouldn't let himself. He would not show that he was weak for the brunette. Three years and he was still in love with his childhood friend. How pitiful was that?
