MechaMimi Posted November 2, 2013 Share Posted November 2, 2013 Hi i wanted to start a thread so here we go i have to ask,have you ever been caught reading or watching yaoi?I have almost been caught a few times,the most recent was around 20 minutes ago.i was playing a BL game and my sister started walking through my door and yelling,i jumped about 10 feet in the air as i clicked ctrl alt delete as fast as i could,then she asked if she could use my computer to google something....then i realized i have left a tab in google chrome open with this website onion13 so i opened firefox instead as she asked me "why are you opening firefox a window is already open" i soon managed to get her out of my room and sat feeling embarrassed for a while :hamtaro-005 (21): so yeah im hopeing to hear some good storys here of being caught,although if your family knows you like yaoi i guess it wouldnt be as embarrassing. Anyway my mum walked up the stairs after yellingbat me three times and she turned the corner into my room and u sward I jumped five foot in the so as I scramble to it the close window button and remove my headphones!!!!!!awkward moment right there, I am fairly sure that she didnt see but I had to leave emmidiatly and you know how it is normally after something like that happens you sit there contemplating it for 10mins and thinking how stupid u are ,but no I had to leave and spent the entire evening dozing in and out of going omg I am an idiot!!! waves Posted November 24, 2013 Share Posted November 24, 2013 i was watching junjou Romatica i think and my cousin(guy) entered my room, i had my headphones on so obviously i did not hear him enter. suddenly i felt a looming presence behind me, and i turned around and he had this distorted, scary, disgusted expression! i just panicked, and started to talk super loud with big hand gestures trying to act as though i was not watching two guys going at it....and basically distract him from the paused screen where masamune and ritsu were kissing. in the end i just gave up and explained about my unhealthy obsession to yaoi , but lucky for me, he felt super uncomfortable and never mentioned it ever. now i just tease him. whenever i see him talking to his friend or standing next to a guy, i make my 'OMG-YAOI-MOMENT' eyes at him. and he just squirms uncomfortably!!! My boyfriend was super understanding of how much I neeeeeeded my internet fix though, so on my days off of work I would stay over at his place even after he left for school and play on his computer. It was then that I first discovered yaoi (junjou romantica, on hulu of all places). After that I would spend hours scavenging the internet and downloading everything I could get my hands on (anime and manga) and squirreling it away on my removable hard drive for use when I was back in the internet-less privacy of my own home. And though I was careful to delete his history, apparently I downloaded a manga to the wrong spot once and so he found it and opened it. Rather than pretending he didnt see it or approaching me privately he decided to bring it up in front of all our friends. After a moment of complete and utter horror at being outed in front of all of my male (and definitely NOT homosexual) friends. I decided to embrace the idea that "if you cant bear the shame, there is nothing for it but hold your head higher and try to pretend you dont have any." So, I admitted that manga of that type had in fact drawn my attention lately, but explained that 'as they should know I will read almost anything at least once' (with no internet I was consuming novel size books at a rate of 2-3 per week, depending on size) and I was running out things to read. I also played upon the fact that sometimes each of us in that group have the bad habit of looking at horrible porn type things on the internet just to see how bad it has to be before we absolutely have to draw the line. With that in mind, I launched into a description this horribly disturbing 'gay nazi manga' I had just read (the whole time dying inside and trying just to bluff past my embarrassment) and a friend came in just in time to hear only that I was reading manga, missing the "gay nazi" part and responded with "oh man, I love that crap. I read it all the time." We all died laughing that he had just unknowingly said he loved 'gay nazi manga' so that the heat was mostly off me. Once or twice after that one of them tried to tease me but after receiving a page in their 'stumble' featuring characters from their most treasured animes and games in explicit situations (VashxWolfwood, SephirothxCloud) they decided teasing me wasnt worth having their childhood heroes 'ruined.' So, maybe I'm a little bit of a bully...but I blame all the yaoi I read...and well...it worked. now they just accept that I have interests that arent theirs and as long as they dont butt in, I wont over share. He came in the room, and saw a yaoi manga I had up, and it was at a embarrassing part. Well, he freaked out, and said "What the hell is that?! My sister suddenly entered my room and grabbed the laptop and she saw the explicit cover. She was like "WTF!" and then good thing I had an excuse. "I was suppose to read Naruto manga until this came up!". My sister knew that Naruto is a shounen manga so she believed me and good thing the tab name was "Naruto Manga Doujinshi - Body Buddy". My friend was over and I wanted to show him the Animes I downloaded.I opened the folder where ALL the animes were, there was a Yaoi named Folder in it. I freaked out but stayed calm. :leaf8: My friend did like nothing happened and made a joke about it. He never mentioned it ever again. I was with some friends and I wondered over the Yaoi section. They both wheren't that into Anime/manga's, but wanted to join me while I cosplay and such ^^ So upon reading and looking in one, my friend giggled and saw some serious boylove action.. They know i am gay and all, but they where kinda freaked out and thinking i was a pervert :$... Since I've already told my friends, when they see me looking on my laptop intensely, they would have known what I was up to. I don't hide the fact that I am reading/watching/writing some RPs about yaoi but hides what I'm really watching and reading. Since I've been an avid fan of hardcore stuff, I don't want them seeing it, since it'll be awkward, even I have goosebumps when I'm watching hardcore stuffs, what more if they see it? LOL. There were even guys on my circle of friends and they just ignored it, leaving a comment "You perv." Then i just raise an eyebrow, *goes back to what I'm previously watching/reading like nothing happened* EDIT: when i saw the thread title, I thought "caught in the act == caught in the act doing IT?" I just passed it off as "some scene from a movie." I was recently on jury service and I was skimming through images on my phone and one of my fellow jurors got a glimpse of a gif from one of the Takumi-kun films.
