Journal Entry 100:

This is my 100th journal entry, and I'm confused as I write. I'm the soon of one the wealthiest stock brokers in town. Many girls day I have the looks of angel; I guess that's what having black hair, blue eyes, and pale skin implies; and have sweety personality.... Dad told me to pick one and may her some day. Simple as that.

 

BUT I ain't allowed to may an Exousia ((rough transliteration of the Greek word for glory)), as our family, the Dynamos, have no room for them in the world as they keep getting to close to our wealth and power.

 

I don't know much about it, as money doesn't exactly interest me and neither do the girls at school... But I'm interested in Kai. He's one of the kindest guys at our school. He blushes easily... others laugh at it but I think it brings out his beauty. So do his glasses, and the people tip on his hair.

 

It's too bad he's an Exousia... He probably hates me by default. I should forget his existence.... But I can't as he's in the same classes and I've liked him since I first met him 2 years ago.

 

I'm doomed. Hopefully I can survive through school tomorrow without giving away what's really going on in my mind and heart.

Kai wasn't ready for school, no he never was. He hates school, for one reason and one reason only. He couldn't stand anyone in school, he barely liked anyone. He huffed, clearly annoyed with the whole thing. He took his glasses and brushed his hair out of his face, he couldn't help but feel like today was going to be special. When he thought about school all he could think about was that damn Dynamos, his silky black hair and crystal blue eyes and- He cut himself off. He could not like a person he can't be with, fate can't be that cruel. But still he couldn't help the blush from forming on his cheeks.

 

At school, Kai closed his locker. Just as he did, he saw Arcanos, his eyes widened and he immediately put his head in his locker. He couldn't believe he was blushing just from looking at him.

Arcanos approached his locker to put books in. It was then he noticed... Kai! How long has Kai had the locker that was close to him? Is he really that blind?

 

Although he shouldn't... he can't help but let his eyes linger. Kai was more beautiful up close... But he was also a Exousia. He can't do much beyond looks. But, he thought to himself, it wouldn't hurt to say hello, would it?

 

Arcanos takes a deep breath and says, "Hello, Kai. It's good to uh... see you."

 

Why is his head buried in his locker? Is he sick? Why is he all red?

 

Arcanos asks quietly, "Are you alright, Kai? You seem a bit ill."

Kai heard Arcanos' silky, yet really really manly voice, and his face grew even more hotter. He lifted his head quickly, he hit the top of the locker, and his face grew hotter. He couldn't believe he was embarrassing himself like this. He pulled his head out and turned towards him, taking in his physical appearance Kai's face wasn't the only thing growing hot, by this time, his whole body was tingling. He wasn't sure how he blushed so much, and have NOT exploded.

 

"What do you want, Dynamos?" He asked rudely, he was never actually sure why he was so rude to him.

 

He is a Dynamos, that's why. Yeah, that's probably it. His insides lied to him.

 

He heard Arcanos' question. I'm not ill, you idiot! It's your damn presence. He wanted to shout.

 

Instead, "W-w-why do y-you ca-care?" He stuttered out, he could barely talk with this stupid blush.

Arcanos took a step back a bit before taking a deep breath, saying, "Oh, I was just concerned about you, I guess. Not good to get sick. I was gonna help guide you to the washroom if you needed it."

 

He sighs as he hates it when Kai is so rude to him. He simply shrugs and says, "But if you don't need it... I'll just move along then. Enjoy your class."

 

 

He then moves ahead, thinking I should just move on from him, as he's clearly on the same side as our fathers.

Kai's eyes widened, he wanted to him to leave, but he couldn't stop himself from shouting. "Hey! Wait for me." And ran after him. He didn't know why he was doing this, especially since he needed to get away from him, not that he didn't like the boy. It was just that he liked Arcanos too much.

 

He still couldn't help but feel bad for being rude to him earlier, "Yeah, um, I'm sorry for being rude earlier." He said while blushing and playing with his fingers. He immediately looked down and stopped walking with him. "I'm sorry." He apologized again.

Arcanos shrugged, "It's OK. Given the parentage we have... I kind of expected it. Though you're apologizing... That's a new house rule. I hope you're feeling better."

 

He smiled inwardly. He's walking with me!! I guess that's a step in the right direction.

 

He tries to start a conversation, "So... are you off to a class, or do you have a study break like I do right now?"

Kai's cheeks still couldn't stop that heat, he gulped, "Yeah, I think I'm fine now..." He said delicately. He still kept thinking about his history and how closely tied it is to Arcanos', as much as he loved his family, he disliked them even more. He disliked the fact that he was always the center of the fights, and he hated that because of them he couldn't be with the one he desires. He didn't like where his train of thought was heading.

 

He quietly asked himself, "Would he like me more if we didn't have to do tthis??" But then he cleared his throat and looked around, a small blash creeping back onto his face.

 

Kai didn't have any class to attend, "Yeah... I'm free now too." He said, nothing wrong with getting a little bit closer to the boy, right?

Arcanos asked carerfully, "Hey... want to like, I dunno, study together or something?"

Kai thought about all situations when Arcanos said 'Study together.', like on the desk or on the chair, or even under the table. Kai's eyes widened, and his blush coming back in full force. But, he couldn't stop thinking about them. He cleared his throat, not wanting to make Arcanos think he is weird or anything.. "Um.. Y-yeah." Was the only thing he could mutter out.

Arcanos smiled brightly, "Great! Let's see... I study in the library. Perhaps we can get a group study room or something."

Kai smiled back. "Yeah sure." Then he silently added, "Or we could get a private room." But then he blushed and shook his head, he wondered what in the good world was he thinking.

Arcanos laughed at that, "Group study rooms are private rooms. They're private rooms for group study. So... don't worry, no one will bug us."

 

The two of them then headed down the hall. "Sooo... I noticed you like stuff like anime and comic books. Any particular titles you could recommend?"

Kai blushed at his own stupidity. "O-of course." He muttered out. Then he heard the question, his eyes grew big with excitement. "Oh my favorite is-" He stopped when he realized he was about to start rambling. "It depends on what you like." He then muttered out, looking down, blushing.

Arcanos chuckles, "But... I was asking what you like? I am interested."

Kai smiled, "Well, I do like Black Butler... Oh and my favorite comic is The Art of War, I guess, I mean there are so many to choose from." He said calmly. But then, he silently high-fived himself, that he didn't stutter was a great thing. "What about you? What do you like?" He then asked curiously.

Arcanos chuckled, "Well... Never got into anime or manga, but i was thinking of it. I'm more into gaming and stuff. Ever played Mass Effect?"

 

They got to the library and were able to books a private group room easily. Arcanos pulls his books out, "Let's see... Math, science, and some computer stuff... What should I work on? Any suggestions, Kai?"

Kai shrugged, "Not really, I mean the few times that I have played, was only when my brothers held me down and forced me to play, otherwise not really." He thought about all the times the older brothers would force him to play.

 

Kai smiled, "Oh let's do science, together." He said cheerfully, then he blushed. "O-o-or you c-can do it y-y-yourself, i-if you w-want." He stuttered out.

Arcanos smiled at Kai. "Look... I aint in charge here. You want to do science? Awesome, we'll do science."

 

He pulls out his science book, "What unit is your class in? Mine is in the biology unit."

Kai wasn't really good at biology, "oh, I'm a chemistry student." he said and turned around to get his books out his bag. That's when his stomach growled. He couldn't believe he just did that, he looked down and blushed in embarrassment. "S-sorry."

Arcanos looked up, "Huh... You didn't do anything. Why are you apologizing? I was going to take a specific science but I couldn't pick which one. So I took general science in grade 11. What are you guys learning in chemistry?"

Kai shrugged, "I don't really know, or care for the fact." And it was true. "I just want to leave school." He muttered. He was still hungry, "Hey, I'm going to get something to eat, want to come?" He asked. He silently thanked god that none of his brothers were at school, they all graduated, but if they saw him with Arcanos, both of them would be dead.

Arcanos thought for a moment and then nodded. He replied, "Though perhaps it's best if I stay here so we can keep the room?"

 

He then reaches in his bag and tosses Kai some money. "Get me a soda and some cheetos, please?"

Kai nodded, he took the money. He was going to get the same thing anyway. He bought two packets of Cheetos and two cans of soda, he slowly walked back to the room. "Here you go." He said handing him the change and his food.

Arcanos takes it with a smile, "Hey... we like the same kinds of food! That's a good thing, right?"

 

He smiles simply before turning to his school work. "So," he replied, "why are you so eager to escape school? Don't get me wrong, I'm eager to leave too but you seem a bit more on the desperate side."
