In a distant world, different from ours there live besides humans also a mix-breed. The Mix-Breeds posess animal treats, a cat or also called Neko here posesses ears, a tail, small fangs and claws and are mostly pretty stubborn and posess their own will. It is usually for those mix-breeds to be tied to a master and need to follow their masters wish. The world is different to ours, their technology is almost on pair with ours but their worldview is completely different from ours. They can hurt and kill the 'Pets', these so called mix-breeds, without receiving a punishment.

 

Pets aren't of much value in this world, of course some humans do treat them like they would treat themselves. For example the Umezake group, something akin to a yakuza family. They are ruling over a certain part of Tokyo and take care of the people and pets there, treating them almost the same they are still considered a yakuza group though and are constantly into fights with other families around Tokyo and occasional the police. They want to change this worlds worldview and make Pets be able to live without masters or being in fear. The leader Taiki Umezake died last year though, his pet Teito is currently leading the group which of course lead to more problems.

 

Fights constantly break out now and the police are trying more often to put the Umezake family into jail. Teito isn't dumb however, he is currently trying to make pacts with noble families (or rather bribe them if possible) so that his part of town is safe from their enemys.

History:

Teito was born in an allyway and his mother died soon after because of the poor condition she was in. Teito grew up stealing from humans and not posessing a master. He lost his left eye in a fight with another pet that he met on a garbage dump. After 12 years of living in the streets and thankfully not being killed, he was found by Taiki that 'adopted' him. At first Teito was wary and rebelled against his new owner but soon he understood that it would be no use to escape and it was far better to be with Taiki as dying on the streets. They soon entered a physical relationship, Taiki let his pet have a bit of freedom too. Being in a yakuza family wasn't easy but Teito could manage. After Taiki died he didn't feel sorrow, no he actually saw it as a chance to change this world a bit perhaps. During the year he had lead the family alone he got the trust that was needed to go against bigger opponents.

Personality: Yuzuki seems calm and cool, even friendly and personable towards others. That's a false mask as he's very logical and calculating, but knows the importance of connections. He actually has a bit of a temper when provoked and won't hesitate to get physical someone severely if they show disrespect or screw up. He's very cold and objective towards others but will be warmer and even affectionate to someone if they can get close to him.

 

History:

 

He's the elder son of a yakuza leader with a younger brother. When they were young their mother suddenly left unable to handle the life of the family. The father, blaming the children, took it out on them while making Yuzuki get ready to one day take over the family. Yuzuki did what he could to protect his younger brother and eventually got him away from the abuse while putting his all into taking over the family. Under his care the family went from a somewhat small influential and powerful family to one that could rival the Umezakes despite his young age.

Teito kicked a pebble across the ground and it continued rolling down the dark and dirty alleyway. Today was the sheduled date for talking about the future of the Umezake family and the pets in their district. To conceal his pet attributes, he was wearing a fashionable suit and a matching fedora in black to hide his ears. His tail was stuck efficently into his pants. Teito looked like the normal gangster now, smoking and leaning on the wall of the alleyway. He was currently waiting for the leader of the Ookami family. Why the alleyway though? Because you can't be sure someone is listening to this sensitive talk, the Umezake leader had many enemies.

(*laughs softly waving a hand* It's fine. I'd have gone first but I quickly threw up the character post before work. I had to work Thanksgiving and Black Friday so I was a bit worn out.)

 

Yuzuki sighs pushing up his glasses as he heads to his meeting with a member of the Umezake family. Glancing down at his watch he notes he'll be just on time as he enters the alley. He's also wearing a suit, but has the first few top buttons undone giving him a slightly edgy look. Seeing Teito in the alley he goes down to greet the Umezake representative but thinks that the meeting could have taken place in either family's one of many businesses or homes instead of alley. Stepping up to Teito he gives a professional smile and slight nod of his head. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting for long. My last meeting ran a little longer than expected."

The reason why he chose this abandoned alleyway is simple. Though there were some guys who could spy on them, no one did because this alleyway wasn't without a reason deserted. It was known to be harbouring many dark secrets. Most of all murders often happened around here. It was a shitty place and nobody would expect the leaders of two famous mafia leaders to meet in a dark abandoned alley, more like in a restaurant or something fancy to discuss their plans. But no, Teito wasn't the usual mafioso. The cat ears inside his fedora picked up the soft footsteps making their way towards him. The pet opened his eyes and stood straight, the cigarette was thrown to the ground and stomped uppon to extinguish the fire. "Good evening. I wasn't waiting all that long, do not worry. The names Teito Umezake, you must be Mister Ookami, right?" he greeted the other, offering a handshake.

 

Teito knew the usual manners, his former master thought him to always be friendly towards business partners. If not you might not wake up again. It was common to be backstabed by others. Decent manners and a bit of strength and nobody would see the need to hurt you. At least Taiki thought so. Not the pet itself. There were of course still some that want to kill you. So he was always careful around others. "Mister Ookami, i have a business suggestion. Your family will help us defend ourselfs from others enemies. In return, the Umezake family will be always at aid if something shall happen or needs to be done. I think both of us can profit from this plan, don't you think?" he left the offer open, waiting for the other male to accept or either decline. But he did hope that the other would aggree in the end.

Yuzuki knew the reputation for the alley chosen, who didn't? He even had a few memories within that alley from his early years. He accepts the handshake and gives a slight smile in return with a nod. "Call me Yuzuki please. Mister Ookami was my father and I'm not quite that old just yet." He straightens and glances around while adjusting his glasses out of habit to make sure they're alone before refocusing on Teito to take better stock of this possible new business partner.

 

Sliding a hand to rest casually in a pant pocket he looks at Teito. "While that offer does hold appeal, you'll have to understand my hesitance in accepting. Your family has been well established as one of the leading families for a very long time, and it's expected that brings with it strong enemies and allies alike." He shifts slightly while his head tilts, eyes slightly narrowed as he looks at Teito. "What could the Umezake family be faced with that the Ookami family could possibly be of help with? We're still a new and fairly small family compared to the Umezakes after all." Yuzuki is tempted by offer of an alliance, but he's also very wary of accepting such an offer due to the hidden agendas that are sure to be in place by the Umezake family. While he's gotten his family into a much stronger and more stable position, it is by no means secure enough for him to relax even the slightest just yet.

Teito retracketed the hand after the handshake and let it hang loosely by his side. Teito knew they were alone, nobody would be able to mask his presence in this alley so much that Teito's cat ears wouldn't be able to pick up any sound. The mafia don listened to his soon-to-be-partner and after said one was sceptical about the deal he opened his mouth "Well, as you probably know the former leader died a few years back, since then i was trying my best to keep the family at bay but it was hard. During that time anybody would have been able to eleminate us. Though not anymore i am not that confident in out strength. That is why i am seeking alliances to prevent us from being killed. It is merely for safety measures, i can ensure you that you family will not be losing as much as you would think you would." he spoke, taking a few breaths here and there.

 

Teito was unsure to give out to much information but it needed to be done, also the lie needed to be told. Of course the have enemies but these alliances are just for their stable business. Teito wants to increase his powers range and he wasn't able to do so with war so he is going strategically. If pets wanted to be free, he needed as many allies as possible. Bribe them or just kill them if they ever say anything that might hurt his people. For now, he would lay low. Like a phanter waiting for his chance to pounch. "The enemies of the Umezake family wouldn't attack two families, so my family is safe as well as yours." he said, trying to give the other some time to think. The risk was big, for both sides but this deal might be able to save the future of the humans and pets living in the Umezake district.

"I had heard of that. It was unfortunate for the Umezake family and keeping those that would seek to harm your family at bay is no easy task." Yuzuki replies smoothly even as his eyes narrow further as though sensing something is being withheld or he's being told a lie. Staring Teito in the eye he continues "Even if we're not losing as much as I would think as you put it, there is still much to consider and negotiate before a decision could be made one way or another. As someone who's been trying to protect his own family I'm sure you understand why I'm not quick to jump on an opportunity that seems to good to be true. And I wouldn't be so sure about those enemies of which you speak being deterred by merely forming an alliance with mine. It would take much more than that, but you're right in how it would give pause to a majority of them."

 

He lightly taps a finger against his leg while thinking for a moment. "I will take this offer into consideration, however, a condition I have is that you make your motives clear. I can tell you're hiding something and I won't let my family be used as a pawn by another family after all the work I've done to raise it from the gutter to avoid just that." Yuzuki's eyes harden as he makes his stance clear before easing into a slight smile and relaxed manner again. "As long as you understand that I'm sure we can come to an agreement. Unfortunately my time is up as I have a prior engagement I need to attend." With a tilt of his head he turns to leave. "I look forward to hearing from you Umezake." Waving a hand he leaves the alley and gets into a car that's waiting which leaves upon the door closing.

Teito didn't waver not even when he sensed that Yuzuki didn't trust what he said earlier. He should have known it but he needed to act that way. No matter what he did. If ever came up that the Umezake leader was a pet.....it would cause and uproar and his family would really be killed. "Of course, just think about it please. Our enemies are calculating with our missing strength sind many family members left and we don't have enough men to defend ourselves. They didn't calculated with an alliance though. Two heads are better than one or not? But yes do consider first." he said, relaxing his posture to not appear nervous.

 

But as he thought, the other leader knew that he was lying about his motives. "As you wish, my motive however is nothing that would threaten you. I assure you." he said with all honesty. After all, the Ookami family wouldn't be losing anything if Pets were able to live freely. But Teito decided to tell the other male his intentions sooner or later. Probably later though, since he was really stubborn. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Ookami don." he said, not wanting to call the other by his first name. The other offered him the possibility but Teito didn't take it. After Yuzuki left, he was alone in the alleyway and he silently cursed. Well, that didn't go as well as he wanted it to go. But it wasn't a big problem. Teito had to deal with far worse problems in his live. A failed meeting was nothing.

Yuzuki slowly nods to the departing comment. "The pleasure was all mine Umezake don." He replies with a smile and nod, his tone only hinting at the mockery of the use of formality. Once in the car his smile melts away as he thinks about the meeting. "Something isn't right with that Teito. I want you to look into him and report to me what you find." Yuzuki commands to another person in the car who nods. "Yes Yuzuki-sama." The man replies quickly. Nodding his approval he settles back relaxing while smiling as he thinks of visiting his brother for the first time in awhile.

 

Once back at the main house Yuzuki goes into the sitting area where his little brother is waiting. "Jin, have you been waiting long?" He asks a young man who is around 18 with black hair with a large grin. "Hey bro! No, I got here a couple of minutes ago. Why? Did I take you away from a date?" He asks wiggling his eyebrows causing Yuzuki to laugh and look younger and more like a man his age should. "No, no date. I'm still very single." He replies chuckling while sitting down to enjoy the time with his brother. After dinner the two talk a bit more before Yuzuki apologetically ends the evening. "Sorry Jin, but I'm going to call it a night. I'll see you in the morning for breakfast if you're up by then." He teases to which Jin just laughs and waves him off before heading to bed himself.

(I don't know what i should say. I was invited to a birthday and i needed to work on a project for work. I didn't have time to actually come online. I am sorry yet again. I will try to tell you in advance if something comes up again.)

 

Teito watched the car drove away. So the meeting failed but the possibility of an alliance was still up. He needed to be careful now, every missing second might as well be the end of his family. "Kage. Get the car, i don't want to be late to the other appointment after all." he said to his suppordinate that appeared our of a udon stall near the alley. "As you wish Teito-sama." his right hand man excused himself and walked towards the parking lot a few minutes down the street. The Ookami family wasn't the only family he tried to form an alliance with. The other family had just recently risen in ranks and are careful about what they do or say. Teito knew that but in the mafia world you sometimes needed to take the risk. That is also why Teito arranged the meeting in the alleyway. It was probably the safest place for both of them, still outside though and easily infiltrated if the rumour had spread that two mafia dons were meeting there.

 

Teito waited near the sidewalk and watched the humans continue their daily life. Screaming kids, running housewives and working salespersons. It was peaceful at the moment. But the pet knew better. Life wasn't fair and good. It was tainted, one wrong move and you might be dead. The sleek black car stopping before him ripped him from his thoughts however. After climbing in and shifting a bit to sit comfortable he ordered his right hand man to drive towards the Mare Mansion, home of the Mare Family. Taking the risk of meeting with them in their own mansion into consideration, Teito steeled himself for the trouble that might come. Mafia families were unpredictable after all.

While newly risen in ranks, Yuzuki has long since worked on forming a very strong and expansive intelligence network. Come morning he's already been given details about Teito's meetings with other families. Which ones he's met with and how each family currently stands. As he leans back in his office chair looking over the reports, Yuzuki frowns faintly. "What is he planning that he's going after so many families for?" Not many on the list are high ranking or powerful in the same way the Umezake family, and more recently the Ookami family was, but many were still fairly well respected.

 

"This kind of support and relationship building means he's expecting a lot more trouble than he's letting on. Still, if he can successfully get even half of the families to fully forge an alliance with him it will be a formidable group." Leaning back, one leg casually crossed over the other, he lets the files fall down onto his desk with a faint smirk. "Well then, let's see what the young master does next hm?" Silently laughing to himself Yuzuki reclines back while the chair turns to look out of the top floor of his business to overlook into the part of the city that fades into a large forest preserve.

Blood started to trickle down his right arm. These bastards really got him good. Teito was expecting hostility towards him in the Mare mansion but he wouldn't have thought that they would actually attack. Thank god he was able to escape, as well as his right hand man Kage. But this situation wasn't any better. They might have broken his right arm because of that damm bullet. The worse thing was that he didn't knew where he was at the moment. He just continued running after jumping out that second floor window of the Mare Mansion. His abilities as a pet were handy sometimes. They might have killed him if he wouldn't have been able to dogde at the right time.

 

Now here he was, standing in the shadows of a small alleyway in a random part of town. Tokio was big and had many 'districts' that belong to different Mafia families. If he was lucky he was in an area of a partner family, if not....well then he might as well be dead if they even saw a glance of him. He noticed someone spying on him so he tried to blend himself in to the crowed. His black tuxedo was easily shielding the blood from the view of others. He held his right arm in a relaxed pose where it wouldn't be dripping to much blood on the ground. Whoever followed him might look for a chance to kill him. Or another family was trying to find out about his motives again. Whatever it was, he can't affored to let his secret about being a pet let loose. It would mean more disaster than them just figuring out how he lived or what he was planning.

 

But first things first, he needed to find a safe place from the spy that was following him. He also needed to find a doctor or someone who can at least stitch up the wound. And most of all he needed to find Kage, or else he might be stuck in this district. He lost his handy in the fight, so he couldn't call. If that wasn't the worst of luck.

Fortunately, or perhaps not so fortunately, for Teito he was on the outskirts of the Ookami family's territory. Knowing that the man tailing Teito drops back and fades away as now many eyes are on the Umezake leader to keep tabs on what he's doing outside of his territory and in theirs. Yuzuki had made it clear, however, that unless Teito is seen taking action against the Ookami family he is to be left alone and observed. For now.

 

Seeing the man is injured, having witnessed the whole fiasco from outside the Mare mansion, Lin goes to give his master an update by calling him from a secluded area. "Yuzuki-sama, Teito is currently in our district wounded. He seems to be dazed and confused since no recognition as to where he is has been seen." Pausing to listen to the response he nods looking around to make sure no one is close enough to hear. Yuzuki, still in his office laughs at the irony of Teito wandering into his district. "I see... For now guide him in further and to a treatment center. No sense in losing such an interesting potential ally right away after all."

 

Confirming his orders Lin ends the call and goes to do as he was told. Knowing he'd been spotted earlier he allows himself to be seen once again and uses his moves to force Teito further into the territory. Once close to the business sector of the area he fades back a little as now there are a few small clinics and a large hospital all within a fairly easy walking distance. Glancing at a building that's showing the time he notes that his master will be finishing his office hours soon and will be expecting another update. Contacting another member Lin tells them to follow Teito until orders are received to stop. That done Lin leaves to go pick up his master to take him to his first meeting of the night.

Teito growled under his breath. He could literally feel all the eyes that were staring at him. He was feeling uneasy, like a wounded and cornered animal. They certainly knew who he was, since their facial expressions gave him away but they didn't attack. The weren't a partner family though, they were almost glaring at him if he did a wrong move they would surely not hesitate to kill him. Still as a grown man and as a pet he didn't take kindness from others that easily. He would rather have them avoiding him or bringing him to their leader. Teito didn't travel far, heck he didn't even know most of Tokio. He had always been 'caged' in the Umezake district so he didn't know where he was.

 

But that spy that kept following drew closer, Teito's eyes changed into slits at being threatened to go farther into their territory. After the pet registered what he just down, he averted his face from the spy. His eyes changed back and he silently cursed. A wound animal or pet is easily barring his fangs at the one who wants to help him, it only makes it appear more feral. Hopefully the spy didn't pick it up. He quickened his steps to go farther, though he didn't want to be cornered, he didn't have much of a chance. He was weak at the moment, the blood loss finally getting to him. He couldn't risk a fight.

 

As soon as he stepped into a bit less crowded area however, he let himself relax. The spy dissapeared and he saw a clinic up ahead. He just needed a bandage, he wouldn't let himself be treated that good. He couldn't change or let them see his body. If not for the scars or the tattoo that littered his body, it would rather be a problem if they saw his tail or his ears. He couldn't risk it. He would just take a few bandages to stop the bleeding perhaps......it wasn't stealing okay? He was just desperate in need for it and the doctors would treat him anyway. They wouldn't be missing a little roll of bandages.

The spy registers the odd behavior but was too far away to notice the change in Teito's eyes, fortunately for him. Having seen which one Teito was heading for, the clinic was called and told to expect the Umezake family head as a patient. So as Teito drew closer, the door opened and the primary clinician of the place greets Teito. "Welcome Umezake-san. It is a pleasure to meet you though I wish it wasn't due to you needing treatment." The elderly man gives a small and gently but firmly pulls Teito into the building.

 

Once inside he leads Teito to a small treatment room and sits him down before looking at him. "Now, just what seems to be the matter hm? I can't imagine you'd come wandering into another territory wounded on purpose." He says gently while not being pushy and letting the other tell him what he needed instead of just forcing the other to accept treatment for the very obvious wound. That doesn't keep him from going around gathering what he'll need to treat the wound however. Just that he doesn't manhandle the other into accepting the help.

 

Naturally Yuzuki receives updates from various members via texts throughout his meeting so that he knows of what's going on with his unexpected guest. After his meeting was over, having passed the second one to one of his employees, as it wasn't anything urgent or in need of his personal attention, he has Lin take him to the clinic so he can 'check-in' on his surprise guest. As he gets there he's immediately led to the room where Teito is being treated, to which he opens the door and leans his shoulder against the door jam smiling faintly as a hand rests in a pocket. "Well now, to what do I owe this surprise visit Umezake-san?"

As soon as he drew closer to the clinic, his senses tingeled. It proved to be right since it was cooperating with the spy that had followed him until now. Or else they wouldn't have known about him. Yet, the kinda forceful but also lax grip of the doctor made him relax a bit. The doctor knew him but probably wouldn't hurt him. "...hello." he said, a bit careful but not wanting to appear rude. He stared at the people they past by, they were all staring at him. Such big luck, it seemed like a lot of people knew about him. It wasn't getting any easier when the doctor started asking for his reasons, or rather why he got the wound.

 

"I won't tell a mere doctor my intentions. Though i am grateful to you that you want to help me, i will not talk about myself or my family." he said firmly, only taking of the jacket, hat still in place, and pulled up his shirt to let the doctor see the bullet wound. He would not start undressing himself. It was too much of a danger. "As you can see, it's a bullet wound. But i porbably don't need to tell you how it happened. That spy already knows probably, as well as youre leader." he gave back. He knew that he was really rude to a person that just wanted to do their jobs of treating injured people but he was always cautious and didn't like telling much about himself.

 

The ears inside his hat twitched, indicating that someone was comming closer. He turned his head in time to see the leader of the Ookami family lean against the door frame. "Ookami-san. As much as i don't want to burden you, it seems as if i got a bit lost around town. If you could lend me a phone i will happily go home." he said with a slight smirk. They weren't on good terms yet so the other would probably not let him go that easily. Not after he got him all alone, wounded even. Who knew what mafia members like them would do in such a situation. It was a risky game to be sarcastic to another mafia leader inside their own territory but Teito didn't work his way up to the leader position without a reason. Sure the was also some favorism of his late lover, or sex partner rather, that got him the lead but he wasn't weak or dumb. He knew his way around this whicked world.

The doctor takes the sarcasm and rudeness with a patient smile. "I'm sure he does know, our leader makes sure he stays well informed so he can make sure to be prepared. Now, try to stay still alright?" The doctor says in a calm tone while cleaning his hands then pulling on gloves before grabbing a sanitized pair of forceps to get the bullet out. "You're lucky it stayed in a fairly fleshy area. Otherwise you'd have to go to a hospital to get it removed if it would be safe to." He comments while quickly and easily getting the bullet out to drop it on a tray before cleaning and stitching up the wound as Teito talks with Yuzuki.

 

Yuzuki chuckles and waves a hand. "Now, now... No need to be in a rush to leave. You're wounded and I'm sure you would like to get cleaned up and eat before resting? You're territory isn't exactly next door so perhaps you should just take a night to recover before going home. Especially with the exit you did to get that wound. At least no one else knows you're here so you don't have to worry about them coming after you as we haven't formed an official alliance yet." Meaning there's no reason the Ookami family would be suspected of aiding the Umezake's leader. "If you go home now then you might find yourself in a bigger mess. It seems you left a rather... Poor impression at the end of your visit and going back home is not in your best interest at the moment." This of course means that the Mare family and maybe others are looking to catch Teito on his way home and possibly keep him from ever making it. "As such I shall extend the invitation to stay at home until either tomorrow or when things have cooled a little. Still, to make sure it doesn't seem like I'm forcing you to stay here I'll let you call and settle things as you wish. As a sign of goodwill." He gives a slight smirk while pulling his phone out and offers it to Teito.

Teito didn't say anything, he merely accepted the doctors help. It did hurt a bit since the wound needed to to be stitched but it wasn't a grave wound so the pet could easily ignore the pain. It was really luck that the bullet only hit his arm, though his bone would take a few months to probably heal again. The only thing that was dangerous about this kind of wound was the fact, that it really bleed. So he probably wouldn't die through the wound itself, but rather through the blood loss. Either way, he turned his head towards the other leader.

 

He gritted his teeth, he hated to appear weak but he other leader perfectly picked apart the situation. It was true, if he decided to go home with this wound he might as well sign his death certificate. But Teito didn't like to be indebted to anyone, especially not a family which didn't aggree to a partnership. At some point it will surely come back and bite him. "I must say, you spys do pretty good work. I will have to think about forming a partnership with you i guess. Or else you might spy on me all the time? But you would do that anyway i believe." he retorted and stood up. He slightly bowed to the doctor and walked towards the door where Yuzuki stood. "I will make a call, where can i stay for the night?" he said, grabbing the offered phone and exiting the clinic. Teito looked around, watching out for more spies. Thankfully there were none, probably since the leader himself was here already. He dialed his right-hand mans phone number and waited for it to pick up. "Kage. I am currently in the Ookami territory.....yeah i know......i will be staying here.......yeah yeah.....bye." he said, hanging up the phone. His family knew where he was and also the dangers that would occure if he decided to depart.

 

"Tch. Depending on others. I am sick of it." he said under his breath and walked back towards Yuzuki. "Here your phone. Thanks for you hospitality." he said, his smile not reaching his eyes. Fake politness is a basic skill as a mafia boss. Teito did know how to be grateful but being a pet made things all the more difficult. Not only needed to stay in another territory that might not all be that good willed to him and if he wasn't at all times careful, his secret would be revealed and they might kill him after all. Being a street rat gave you the feeling that other always took their own advantages before helping someone. It just stayed with him until now.

"Not all the time but a good majority of it perhaps." Yuzuki gives an easy smile at the compliment of his information network before looking at Teito. "With the commotion you caused my place would be safest for us both. You for safety reasons and me because you came into my territory and it will be easier to hide you if I don't actively have my people guarding anywhere heavily beside my own home as expected. Although, depending on who saw you come into my territory that may or may not be a moot point but it will still be the best option at this point in time."

 

He gives Teito a more focused and sharpened gaze upon the fake politeness being given him. "You're welcome but there's no need to stand on false formalities when it's clear that my reluctance to partner with you hasn't caused any warm feelings to form between us." Tucking his phone away the icy edges fade away as he continues. "The doctor wishes to give you a blood transfusion before we leave so he needs your blood type. Once that is done we'll leave." The doctor is waiting patiently for Teito and has the equipment readied to go.

"I think nobody followed me that far, only your spy. I didn't sm-, sense anyone other." he said, slipping with his choice of words. He didn't want to say smell or the other might be able to pick something out of the word of him being a pet. The wound made him a bit lightheaded it seemed. He noticed that he wasn't as concentrated as usual. "Well, it's not really the fact that you declined actually but rather that you can be a danger to me and my family if you decide to go against us. I am sorry if i may appear rude but i am only trying to protect my family." he said, really true this time. It's true, he was okay with the Ookami family declining his offer, the only problem that arises with that however is the chance of them attacking him in the end. Before he could act politely and normal with the other leader he needed to figure out if the other intended to attack his family or not.

 

Teito sighed at the mention of a blood transfusion, he hated doctors. He sat down in the chair offered to him by the doctor and let the doctor do his thing. He layed his head on the chairback and sighed through his nose. He would have laughed if the attack of the mare family wouldn't have made anything worse. Well at least he knew now that a new enemy appeared.

Yuzuki notices the slip and his eyes narrow slightly but lets it slide. For the moment. The doctor sets up the transfusion and then leaves the two saying he'll be back in a few minutes to check the progress of the transfusion. Once the doctor was gone Yuzuki settles into the empty chair looking all the world like a natural born royal. "We'll discuss this in more detail once in my home but I can assure you. Even if I fully reject your offer of an alliance I have neither the inclination or time to start a meaningless conflict with another family if they give me no cause to start one." He taps a finger on his knee for a few moments before continuing. "At the same time, I won't jump into an alliance just because it's offered. Especially when I sense a hidden agenda or goal within the one making the offer. That discussion is for another time however. Your transfusion is just about done and I think Lin will get cross with me if I don't eat dinner soon. He really is something of a mother hen." He smirks while giving a faint chuckle as said person appears in the door and gives Yuzuki a bored look, his white fox ears flick with slight annoyance. "I wouldn't be a 'mother hen' if you didn't try to overwork yourself. You hired me to take care of you and that is what I intend to do."

 

Yuzuki nods and waves a hand in an amused manner "Yes, yes. And you do that quite well. Now then, I take it security and secrecy about having the head of the Umezake family has been taken care of on our end?" Lin gives a short quick nod. "Yes. Everyone has also been informed to make sure no one comes snooping around our territory for him and if they do to make sure they don't overstay their welcome." Yuzuki gets a look of dark satisfaction. "Good. Now then, we'll let the doctor finish up his job and get going." The doctor appears a few minutes later just as the blood bag is almost empty and quickly finishes with Teito and gives him the go ahead and offering him a grandfatherly pat on the shoulder, bows to Yuzuki before taking his leave. "Alright then. Let's go." Yuzuki gets up and leaves the clinic expecting Teito to be following and gets into the car as Lin opens the door for him. Once Teito is in Lin closes the door and quickly gets in to drive them to the house.

"Yes. Your reason is valid i accept that. I might not seem to be the most trustworthy person after that attack after all. I shouldn't have gone without much protection." he said, the last part more whispering than actually saying. It was a wrong move and Teito received the suited punishment. His arm didn't really hurt actually, it was just a pain in the ass to walk around with only one arm for a while. Especially since the injured arm was his main. He stared at the infusion and the dripping blood. As a pet you had certain advantages but also more obvious disadvantages. Actually a pet can be stronger and faster than a human but they weren't given the chance. Since the time they were born they have always been suppressed. There are only a handful of humans who treat them for what they are. Normal people, not just monsters or slaves. Teito knew that some pets didn't see it like that and he also respected that. But he wanted to change something, for the majority of them. Even if he went down fighting.

 

When Lin entered, the Umezake head glanced at the other. //A pet. And if he lookes that good than the Ookami leader might not have anything against helping pets......// he thought and pondered over the plan of telling the other. Literally, he was at the others mercy. And telling the other his plan right now may be one of it. But as i said, risks needed to be made and he decided to tell the other about his plan. But later, a bit of getting to know the other wouldn't hurt after all. Teito, not into saying anything listened to the conversation of them both until the doctor came in again and finished up the blood transfusion. Standing up from the chair, he bowed to the doctor slightly and followed the other two outside the clinic. Teito takes the offer and sat down in the seat next to Yuzuki. During the right, he sometimes glanced towards Yuzuki and Lin. He decided not to say anything. Teito wasn't one to talk after all, he barely did, only if he deemed it neccesary.

Even once outside Lin shows no concern over his 'pet features' being out in the open and no one seems to pay it any mind. In actuality, when one looks closely, pets seems to be almost as numerous as the humans and almost none of them on leashes or being treated as them. While not on the same level as a human, it is clear that compared to other territories the pets in the Ookami territory are treated well. Pulling into the garage Lin gets out and opens the door for his passengers before looking at Yuzuki as they head to the main house. "I'm going to finish making preparations for potential consequences of us taking him in." Yuzuki nods. "Alright. Make sure the guest preparations are completed as well." Lin gives a nod and slight bow before leaving. Yuzuki glances at Teito and gives him a smirk. "Welcome to my home. I hope you enjoy your stay." His tone is slightly mocking before motioning the other to follow him as they leave the garage.

 

When they get into the actual private estate of the family's head, it's clear that pets actually are on par with the other humans even if most of both are servants of the house. Going into the house itself he leads Teito to a sitting room where he settles on a couch and motions for the other to make himself comfortable. "It will be a bit before the guest room is finished being made ready. Would you care for anything to eat or drink while you wait?"

Truth be told, though he knew now that the other didn't have any evil intentions against him or his family he was somehow irked by the other. You could call it instinct but he knew that the other would mean a lot to him in the future. As a friend or something else needs to be seen but still. He exited the car and watched Lin leaving. Maybe he would speak about his plans over dinner. Who knows. "I hope so too. Thanks for having me." he said, following the other leader. Though it wasn't said in an enthusiastic or nice tone of voice, he ment it. He thought about the other mafia leaders that would try to kill or manipulate him if he should ever appear at their doorstep alone and wounded. The would have the fun of their lifetime probably.

 

Different scents were mixed in the house. From pets to humans. It was clear that pets seemed to be treated well here so his decision of telling the other was getting stronger by the minute. Though it would probably sound crazy and childish to some. The pet wondered how the other would take it. Would he love, smile or plainly refuse. Before he could ponder further he stopped at the front of the sitting area. After being invited to sit, he made his way to a small armchair and rested his injured arm on the armrest. "No thanks. I am not thirsty and i can wait for dinner." he said and visually relaxed. His posture wasn't as stiff as before and if he could he would free his ears of their prison. He pondered though, now was actually the perfect time to tell the other. "Say....what would you say about pets getting the same rights as other humans?" he straightout asked.
