InkompleteWish
Main Plot: Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by Titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest Titans. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a Titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a Colossal Titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller Titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single Titan and take revenge for all of mankind. Our Plot: We will start when Eren and his crew recently joined the survey corps, before the 57th expedition. My charachter, Bertram Frei, has joined with Eren and the others. The survey corps are currently training for the upcomming 57th expedition and Bertram is try his best to train with the others. InkompleteWish Name: Bertram Frei Age: 18 Personality: Bertram is usually the happy-go-lucky-typ in a group. He is always trying to cheer others up and is a kind guy in nature. Though that is usually just a mask. He is afraid most of the time but doesn't want others to lose their hope and courage so he cheers them up and tries to free them from their weaknesses. He has many fears and feels insecure but he is usually not showing anyone this. Over the years he has mastered this kind of lie and nobody has been able to see his true nature till now. He is smilling really often and usually tries to pull a joke here and there. If someone has a problem they can always come to him, he even tells them this. He is an open guy and despite his own fears he only wants for others to live a happy life. That is also why he joined the Survey corps. He wants to change something and thus he needs to help kill the titans and erase them from this earth. Bertram is easily befriending others, though most doesn't want to. He just never gives up if he wants to befriend others and thus getting most other recruits on their nerves. He also tends to stick his nose into other peoples business and he is really curious. Bio: His life wasn't bad but not the normal live you would wish for. His parents died as soldiers of the survey corps. They had the same life style that Bertram soon accepted. 'If you want to change something, than do something.' is their motto. And thus Bertram grew up like that. His grandparents always took care of him inside Wall Rose and thus he didn't live in poverty. In the deepest parts of his hearts he wants to change the world. Change how many humans are living, caged into large walls and just waiting for the titans to break through one day. Thus he joined the army and especially the survey corps like his parents before him. But because of his poor strength he wasn't able to graduate at the first try. He started to train and build up muscles and eventually he was a trainee in the 104th division. The same as Eren, Misaka and Armin that he soon befrinded. He graduated with all of them and followed his parents footsteps. Though he was missing in strength, he was known for being really fast and his swiftness is easily evening the loss in his strength. Though leader Hange had often asked him if he didn't want to join her squad to research the titans and sure. Bertram often declined though. Even if he was interested, and also really intelligent, he would rather face the titans himself and learn something when fighting them. Stats: Battle Skill - 7/10 Agility - 13/10 Strategy - 10/10 Teamwork - 8/10 Brutality - 2/10 GK061490 Name: Jens McRemitz Age: 18 Personality: At first glance Jens seems to be a gentle and polite young man. He is easy to befriend and a reliable companion - always ready to be of help to others. He is never without a sunny smile on his lips and always has kind words to dispense to everyone. However this all goes out the window once he sees a titan. His personality morphs into that of a savage beast whose only purpose is to kill titans in the most horrible ways possible. Jens loses all thoughts of self-preservation and a lost limb is not enough to stop him. His uncontrollable nature often puts him at odds with the rest of his team but his skill in battle is undeniable, being one of the few people who can keep up with Levi. Oftentimes, only Levi or Erwin can talk him down whenever he starts his rampage. Curiously enough, it seems that killing titans also gives him sexual arousal and he is rumored to sexually harass teammates after killing a bunch of titans. Zoë theorizes that Jens is suffering from multiple personality disorder but the exact reason behind it is still a mystery. It seems that the desire to murder titans is ingrained in the very fiber of Jens' existence. When asked why he enjoys killing titans, he will often answer "I just do". Bio: Jens is a soldier of the Survey Corps. Nicknamed as the "red demon", Jens is an invaluable member of the brigade due to his amazing fighting abilities despite his uncontrollable nature. The young redhead did not have a prestigious origin nor did he have a tragic past. He was born in the small farming village of Fraga in the Northern part of Wall Rose. He enlisted in the Military at the age of 15 and graduated at the age of 17. Afterwards he joined the Survey Corps after graduation, his reason being that "he was most likely to see an actual titan" when he is with the Survey Corps. He quickly gained his reputation in the brigade for being an efficient killer but he is often at odds with his superior when he goes out of control. In one particular skirmish, his whole team was almost wiped out because of his refusal to retreat despite the overwhelming number of titans pursuing them. He was almost relieved from duty but was saved when Levi voted against it, stating that it would be a waste to let go of such an efficient titan killer. Most of the other Survey Corps soldiers choose to stay away from Jens because of his unstable nature and is often left to operate alone when assuming the long range scouting formation. Though the Survey Corps is full of weirdos and outcasts as Eren puts it, Jens seems to be most outcast of them all. Jens doesn't mind though, only grateful that he can still kill titans. --STATS-- Battle Skill - 11/10 Agility - 10/10 Strategy - 2/10 Teamwork - 2/10 Brutality - 10/
GK061490
Jens woke up to a pretty normal morning at the Survey Corps' headquarters. They were still licking their wounds from their previous expedition so things were a lot slower in the division for the past few months. Almost all the soldiers appreciated the time to kick back and relax while plans for the 57th expedition were being ironed... not Jens though. Though young redhead looked and acted fine, his blood was boiling with impatience. He yearned to sate his bottomless lust to kill titans. Jens tried to take the edge off with some combat training but even that was not enough to satisfy him. He wanted to sink his blades into the necks of those putrid abominations. He wanted to feel their steaming blood in his skin as he hacks them to pieces. He wanted to kill more titans... his being screamed for it. But no one would have any idea that this internal struggle happening in Jens' mind. The boy retained a sunny disposition and a warm smile as he went about his merry way around HQ. The veterans knew better though and preferred to stay away from him. Jens didn't mind though, it's always been that way. He didn't need other people to care about him or to impress them. All he wanted was to slay titans, it was as simple as that. Jens was currently doing routine maintenance on his 3MG gear when he heard something from behind him. "Salute!" yelled a familiar voice whom he recognized as Squad Leader Ness. He turned around to see a group of new recruits being briefed by Dita. "Huh... Didn't know we had new recruits" muttered Jens to no one in particular. After the large number of casualties and the utter failure of the 56th Expedition, Jens was surprised to see such a large number of recruits. He decided to take a break from what he was currently watching to observe the new greenhorns of the Survey Corps.
InkompleteWish
"Salute!" shouted Squad Leader Ness and all trainees followed suit. With their right hand above the heart and the other behind their backs. Everyone that was crazy or courageous enough, there was a fine line between those two emotions, were standing before the Squad Leader. Even Bertram made it finally. He wished to join the Survey corps since his tenth birthday, he was anxious as hell but he didn't show it. The test was over already so they should be official part of the Scouting legion now. Only those green cloakes were missing. Bertram let his eyes drift over the others, mainly Eren though, since he saw the hate for the titans burning in the taller mans eyes. If Bertram would have saw his own parents die before his eyes, he would act the same way probably. But not use in getting angry into a fight, you would lose more than you would win through it. "You pipsqueaks, you are official part of the Scouting legion. 104th division! Congratulation!" hollered Squad Leader Ness and soon departed from the new recruits. After a while, all of the 104th division trainees relaxed their poses and sighed. "Wow. Thankfully thats over. Someone is going to get us right?" Bertram asked Eren which only shrugged. The young lad was distracted when he heared shouting to his left. Some legion members were training and it looked awesome. Not only did they do hand-to-hand combat but some even trained with their 3DM Gear. The blacknette was awestuck if he remembered that he would also be able to fight against titans. Of course because of his missing strength though he wouldn't be able to train with others probably. Heck, even Armin might be stronger physically wise. Soon most of the 104th division began watching the other members train, waiting for the corparal that should actually get them.
GK061490
"Okay then recruits, you'll be working side-by-side with our veteran members for the day so they can show you the ropes on what we do here in the Survey Corps. Fall in line please..." ordered Dita Ness to the newbies, watching each one of them file into place. He held out a hand to stop Eren when it was his turn to fall in line which earned the Squad leader a curious look from the rest of the group. "Jeager, right? You've been drafted to the Special Operations Squad. Report to Captain Levi in the briefing room" ordered Dita. "Y-Yes sir!" saluted Eren, looking back at Mikasa and Armin for a second before heading to the direction that the squad leader pointed to. There was hushed whispers between the recruits, especially about Captain Levi. It was common knowledge that the Survey Corps' second-in-command was a soldier without compare and being in his division was a great honor. Some theorized that Eren was being put under his wing because of his rumored titan shifting ability while some expressed their disappointment that an average soldier rank him was chosen to join such a prestigious group. "Alright alright, that's enough gossiping ladies. I'll be giving the names of the soldiers you'll be paired with. Try not to give them a hard time, alright?" chuckled Dita. The squad leader went through his list of recruits as well as called out the soldiers who were supposed to be paired with them before providing their assignments. The last on the list was Bertram Frei but it seems that Dita had run across a problem. "Oh boy... Seems I overlooked someone on the list" sighed Dita, flipping through his clipboard to make sure he didn't miss a veteran on the list. "Uhh, I'm terribly sorry about this. Maybe I can call Petra out here and she can assist us with--" "I'll do it" volunteered Jens who has suddenly appeared behind the squad leader. "This recruit needs someone to show him around HQ, right? I can do it" "Uhh... Err... Well..." stuttered Dita, unsure if he should allow a fresh recruit to run around with the Survey Corps' red demon.
InkompleteWish
(Sorry for not replying yesterday. Something came up. ) Bertram watched the departure from Eren with slight discomfort. He knew Eren wouldn't be treated all that well probably and as a friend he was concerned for Eren's wellbeing. Armin, Mikasa and himself exchanged glances. They decided to help Eren as well as they could. Though Bertram had been friends with them for only a short time, the group already grew closer and closer. The others were like family to the young trainee. At the mention of the Lance Corperal, Bertrams ears pricked up. The corperal was known for his slaying abilities and his different personality. If Bertram remembers right, there was also something special about his past. Nobody knew that much about Levi before he joined though so they are basically just rumours. Better be careful around the Lance Corperal though. Well, actually he should be careful around anyone in here. The military was known to be conflicted at some points. For example the distrust between the Scouting Legion and the Military Police. Either way, soon they were assinged their mentors and Bertram waited for his name being called. It never came though. Until he picked up the mumbling of Squad Leader Ness. It seemed like they forgot him. Oh well, the best start ever or not? Mark my sarcasm. Squad Leader Ness's mumbling was soon broken off by another veteran. Actually if he looked closely the other might not be all that older than him. Actually they might just be same-aged. Ness wasn't able to decide apparently so Bertram decided to introduce him foremost. He saluted and said with a strong voice, even though he was pretty nervous "My name is Bertram Frei. It is a pleasure to meet you sir." and bowed slightly. Bertram hoped he would fit into the Scouting legion so he tried his best to stay on everyones good side. He didn't want to get kicked, especially after he finally graduated.
GK061490
"H-Hey!" scolded Dita when Bertram saluted all of a sudden. He was still wary about letting a recruit run around with someone as unstable as Jens. The last thing he wanted was a recruit quitting because of a horrible experience with one of theirs. "Err, hang on a second McRemitz" uttered the squad leader, trying to buy some time to consider other options for Bertram. "I believe everyone else is occupied at the moment, Ness. It's just a little tour around the headquarters, I think I can do this without any problems" shrugged Jens, before placing a hand on his hip. "Unless you'd rather try to convince Oluo to give the tour..." Dita cringed a bit at Jens' suggestion. True, Jens can be troublesome but sitting through Oluo's haughty speeches was far worse. With a defeated sigh, he looked over at Bertram and then back at Jens. "Alright McRemitz but don't try anything funny, alright?!" yelled Ness as he begrudgingly handed Bertram's papers to the other soldier. "I'll make sure he returns in one piece" laughed Jens, turning to look at the recruit he was to babysit for the day. "Well then let's get started, my name is Jens McRemitz. It's a pleasure to meet you Bertram!" he mused before extending a handshake at the other. "Let's go over the facilities first, shall we?"
InkompleteWish
(Sorry for not replying and the short post after that too. I just didn't know what to write other than that. ) Bertram watched the exchange of the higher ranked soldiers with interest. He wasn't able to make much of it though. He didn't know about the soldiers here so he was quiet the whole time. Was there a problem with him being a trainee or a problem with the question about who should be his mentor. It's not like they will be fighting after all, so it basically it doesn't matter who is showing him around the HQ. But well, as i said he didn't know whats going on so he is quiet. When the other offered him a handshake for their following 'mission' however he gladly accepted. "The pleasure is mine." the recruit anserwed and followed the other. He was sure that his time at the scouting legion might as well be pretty different what he had imagined but Bertram was an easy going type, he just accepted changes. He rarely fought for himself. It might be saddening but the young guy knew himself and he was okay with it. Though the future can be changed, it didn't neccesary mean for the better. Some things just needed to be accepted.
