Title: A White Christmas

Word count: 596

Enjoy~!

"Come on Boy. Aren't you cold?" A grunt was the only respond Kyle got from his four years old gray husky. Kyle placed his hands together and exhaled, in a failed attempt to warm up his frozen fingers. It was early winter, a very cold 24th of December, and all he wished was for his damn dog to finish his business before both of them freeze to death. After what seemed like an eternity, the little ball of fur finished and he was more than glad to go back inside the house and under his blankets. Not a single drop of snow had fallen and experts predicted that snow won’t fall till mid February, so why the hell was it so cold? No wonder he hated winter. Unlike Chris, the man was praying for a white Christmas. He opened the front door letting the dog rush in; and said man was sitting in their living room. Curled up at the far corner of their couch with a warm cup of chocolate, he couldn't help smile at the sight. Chris looked up from the steaming liquid and regarded him with a bright smile. "Is it snowing?" He asked hopefully as Kyle approached him. "Nope." And the disappointment in Chris's eyes made Kyle's chest hurt. Chris had said the last time he had spent a white Christmas was during his freshman year of college thus eight years ago. He leaned in to capture Chris warm lips in a gentle kiss, tasting Chris taste mixed with the taste of chocolate. "Sorry hun."

"It’s okay, you were right all along, I should have listen to the experts and not get my hopes up." He was trying very hard to hide his disappointment. Kyle rubbed his back, trying to comfort him. They went to bed late that night, Chris busy finishing correcting some papers. Kyle finished brushing his teeth; making his way back to their bedroom, from the corner of his eyes he saw a shooting star through the bathroom window. With a quick glance at Chris placing the papers away he quickly looked back at the fading star and made his wish, immediately feeling stupid. "What’s wrong?" Chris asked noticing Kyle's funny expression. "Nothing, just tired." He lied sheepishly as they both lied under the cozy blankets, their bodies pressed together like perfect puzzle pieces. He kissed Chris forehead as his long fingers played and twirled his lovers blond soft curls. Chris sighed contently, for a moment the disappointment forgotten and fell asleep in his lovers arms. Kyle followed soon after.

The next morning, Kyle woke up to an empty bed. He looked around and called for Chris but there was no reply. His heart started to race, his mind thinking of the worst case scenarios. He quickly pulled some clothes on and stared to dial Chris's cell when he saw Boy whining by the front door. He felt his heart skip a beat, his breath caught, at the sight of Chris standing outside covered in white snow. The smile gracing his lover's face was priceless. "Chris what are you thinking standing in the snow without a coat?" He asked reaching his lover, taking his cold hands in his. "It's snowing Kyle! It's a miracle!" He said so excitedly that it melted Kyle's heart and warmed his soul. "Yeah, it is. Let's go inside get something warmer to wear okay?" Chris nodded and hugged Kyle tightly. "Merry white Christmas." He said full of happiness. Kyle caressed his cheeks, lovingly. "Merry white Christmas." Before sharing a kiss under the falling snow.

Title- A Beautiful Christmas

Words- Exactly 600

A Beautiful Christmas

I slowly sat down my things as I looked out the window to the white sheets that covered the ground. The brown dead grass no longer visible as the light in the sky bounced of the white and made it sparkle covering the grass with a beauty rather than the dead look it showed off before. I slowly blew on the glass and smiled painting a smiley face in the fog covering it. I heard a clang in the living room and I stood walking to the room to see my lover. His name was John and he and I are in love. We have been together for three Christmas’s this year. Making it our third year together, we met in high school and ever since we have loved one another greatly.

“What are you doing?” I asked seeing as he had a small present he had in his hand and the wrapping paper thrown around him. A small blush went over the male’s cheeks as he hid the present. “Is that for me?” I asked walking to him and smiled looking up at him. “Why don’t I open it now? I mean its Christmas now.” I said softly and looked up at him seeing his bright green eyes.

“No…you can’t open it till after dinner.” He said and kissed me softly. “You must wait till after then we can both open our presents. Cody this is a secret you can’t know till the time is right.” He said and smiled at me a blush forming over my own cheeks as I started to wonder what was in the small box he held behind him. I nodded and kissed him again before pulling him with me to the kitchen where his finished dinner now sat on the table ready to eat. “Then let’s eat! I wanna know what it is!” I said a bright smile over my cheeks. He nodded and pulled out my chair for me before sitting in his chair next to me.

We finished eating and he pulled me by my fingers into the dim living room and I smiled as he sat me down on the couch. I tilted my head up at him and he smiled brighter as I handed him the present I had gotten for him. He pulled away the green and red wrapping I had put around it and smiled seeing the new cooking pans I had gotten him the old ones he had used today wearing away at themselves. I smiled as he kissed me softly and I looked at him as he opened the second which was a cheesy thing. It was his favorite candy of kit Kats and I reached over stealing one from him and he laughed tackling me playfully pinning me to the couch.

I blushed and smiled, “Hn…what did you get me?” I asked as he pulled out a velvet box the paper had already been pulled away by him not going through the trouble of wrapping. He smiled softly and looked down at me before he got off and kneeled to the ground looking up at me as he opened the box. A beautiful wedding band lay in the box and I smiled, “Will you marry me Cody?” he asked and I sat up nodding franticly as he slipped the ring onto my finger.

I tackled him myself placing a deep kiss on his lips and smiled tears in my eyes as I had finally had my present. I didn’t want anything else. I was the happiest person alive in that moment.

Title:The Christmas Dance [595 words]

The Christmas Dance

Zero makes his way through the halls making his round at night as the school ‘guardian’.

He was fuming with rage.

“Why is everyone acting so suspicious this past few days –?”

Suddenly, he senses a vampire, pure-blood vampire, approaching. He quickly takes out the gun in his uniform blazer.

“Take one more step near me, I’ll shoot you.”

“You’re so scary… Mr. Disciplinary Committee and I only want to talk.”

“Just get straight to the point.”

“All vampires should fear and respect me, yet you bare your fangs at me without hesitation, level-D.”

“I said, straight to the point!!!” Zero pulls the trigger, daring the pure-blood; which we all know that it won’t work since he left his anti-vampire bullets in his room.

Another vampire suddenly appears behind Kaname. The said man goes on his knee with heads, one hand over his heart – which shown his loyalty towards the pure-blood King.

“Kaname-sama, sorry to interrupt you but... the class is getting restless.”

“I understand. Well then Kiryuu-kun, until the dance.” In second, he was gone.

Is that a smile on his face? He’s mocking me isn't he? Zero lower down his gun barely since the messenger still standing there, staring at him in disgust.

Being the person he is, he glares back, challenging the man to try something. Well, do something! But the man just walks away. Zero was so frustrated.

“Damn it. He’s the one who said he needed to talk and now, he dare left just like that… Wait! What dance?”

Zero takes off towards the Chairman Office at once. Once arriving to the said place, he kicks the door open.

“Ah, Zero! You come just at the right time.”

Yuuki and the Chairman are grinning dangerously while holding a set of tailored-suit – a matching silver of Zero’s hair. He begins to regret his own stupidity.

Zero barely manages to sneak out to the balcony staring at the dark sky.

“Christmas Dance…huh. Those foxes are going to get it later for forcing me into this kind of event.”

A moment later, he could feel another presence behind him and didn’t bother to look back.

“Why are you here?”

“Always so cold…,” Kaname walks toward Zero and do something unexpected. Kaname bows down and take Zero’s hand into his. “May I have this dance?”

“What do you think you’re doing, idiot?” Zero turns beat red and try to pull his hand away but Kaname tighten his hold on him.

Kaname join their hands and put another on Zero’s hip. At first Zero is reluctant but after a while and they began to dance.

“Why are you doing this, Kuran?” He asks, surprise on how gentle his voice is.

“That day, when I went to talk to you, do you remember?” The music reaches its ending and so they stop dancing; but still not letting each other go.

Zero nods in silence. Not daring himself to speak. Kuran looks nervous but why? He thought.

“I don’t know how it starts but, I love you.”

No words could describe how Zero feels at the moment. Angry, hurts, and happy…?

“Look into my eyes and say that again. Promise me that you’ll never betray me. Only then I…” He stare into those reddish-brown orbs; searching for any lies.

Kaname raise his hand to touch the silver-hair boy face, “I love you, Zero… and I should never betray you, now or the future.” They both stare into each other eyes, both drown in their love.

The snows pour down from the sky, witnessing their silence vow.

TITLE: The Lady of Christmas

WORDS: 605 (sorry about that *looking all around*...hope it will count in)

There is a legend, beyond every imagination .A legend of loneliness and eternal obligation .Following this lost memory in time, Tobias found himself in the woods of eastern London, shaking by the cold of the first heavy winter in history .He was whispering again and again the words of the tale that was devouring his mind and drove him to the madness, he was about to do.’’If you walk in the woods on Christmas Eve, when the sky seams white and the time indefinite, when you hear the song of the snow, and the wind strokes you with the most inappropriate way, close your eyes, and so he did. He left his eyelids get heavier and kneeled on the foamy snow. He tightened his fists on his chest and his breath escaped, …….. silent and sore. > he said and his mind went faster than his lips, wishing to be acknowledged by everyone. He stood kneeled and sunk in the snow, that was melting and soaking his clothes, when suddenly silence fell.

The wind, the song. Warmth wrapped his frozen body. He opened his eyes, only to face the beautiful, white figure to observe him. A scream flee from Tobias’s lips, whose abrupt move made him stumble. However before his back hit on the snowy ground he felt a light hand catching him by his waist, and the divine face found itself some inches from his own. > a curved smile drew on the lips of the magnificent vision. Tobias pulled himself away and observed him straightening his white-dressed body slowly, ……… till their eyes met. > His voice sounded softly, hitting pitiless Tobias’s body, who sighed heavily. Suddenly he realized ….. > He shouted shivering. > The man raked his angelic face puzzled and then he laughed silently. > He smiled. Tobias looked insulted at the ground. > The celestial figure continued and Tobias felt the man’s hands hugging his face. The eerie green eyes of him were smiling and Tobias’s heart started beating frantically.

> He said and his frozen breath stroked Tobias’s lips. > and just before his answer, he looked at the beautiful face and felt the gentle touch on his body …. And his heart slipped. ’’ I want you! ‘’ his heart moaned. > He sighed and gave in to the man’s touch. > These were the last words he heard before everything turns black.

The sour sound of the alarm-clock brought Tobias back to reality, sweaty and dizzy. He leaned his head against his hands and sighed. > The next moment someone hit the door of his dorm and Tobias responded weary. > at that time his eyes petrified and his body stretched. > That voice, those eyes, that face and height in front of which Tobias seemed so small. He was the man of his dream. > He whispered blushing. > He responded, sitting next to Tobias. > Tobias was shaking. > He smiled and Tobias body was hit by countless chills. His name on that ….. Man’s lips seemed so inappropriate.

On Christmas Eve make a wish to the lady of Christmas, straight from your heart and it will come true.

finally got it down to 599 words with the help of a friend...tiring work @~@but worth it i quite like this one....i wrote one story for this comp and changed it to this one cause i didn't like the old one as much so yer...hope you all like it!!

A Christmas promise:

I tilted my head down looking at the smaller man whom had attached himself to my elbow in an attempt to ward of the cold. I smiled, gently wrapping my left arm around his small frame, bringing him closer. He flinched from the contact. Normally I would never consider doing such a thing but the cold and the champagne was making me braver.

We walked in silence for a while. Content just to stand this close to him, to feel his temperature slowly radiate though me was enough. This small contact would sustain me; allow me to remain in control of my senses.

The town centre was close by but I took a long route to get there, knowing that when we emerged I would have to break away from the warmth and safety of my companion. We weaved through dark streets ankle deep in snow, around the bustling roads lit for Christmas, keeping him close against my side the entire time.

We turned down a softly lit street, windows with curtains half drawn, trees glowing daintily in them and families huddled together around fires reading stories, parents tucking their excited children into warm beds, blowing out the candles as they quietly left to fill the stockings. I wrapped my arm around him tighter, pulling him closer to me so I could feel the warmth of his cheek against mine and slowly I slid my hand into his pocket interlocking our fingers; smiling at the touch of his skin. He looked at me inquisitively whispering gently,

“People will think we're a couple.” He laughed lightly, the twinkling of which bounced off the walls of the confined street.

I smiled, “No one is here to see.” and turned back to the road giving his hand a small squeeze.

Finally I could put it off no longer, I turned down a final street which opened out onto the town square, as we approached the bustle of late night shoppers and carol singers I carefully detached myself from him. It was cold without him there; I shivered hoping he would not notice.

We went and stood with the people huddled by the tree, lighting their candles for loved ones and for thanks. I guided him to the base of the tree, picking up two candles I passed one to him and watched as he knelt but the lit ones and held the wick to the exposed flame. It caught instantly, some of the melting wax dripped onto the floor in a circle. The candle was placed in thee cooling wax. He knelt and placed his hands around the base of the candle, and shut his eyes. He stayed like this for many minutes before rising and allowing me through. I lit the candle and turned to face him.

“Aito, I love you,” I paused not sure if I wanted the words to sink in but still I continued “Aito, I want to be with you forever, I promise I will always love you, that will never change. The flame of this candle will burn in my heart forever. The warm feeling I get when I see you, it is a reminder of the times we're together. Aito I promise before the eyes of all those around us and before the spirits of all those watching over us, I will never hurt you whether you accept my feelings or forget this moment all together. I love you.” I stopped and looked into his deep grey eyes trying to recognise an emotion but could not, instead I stood there numb clutching the candle. Waiting.

Title: Of Romantic Promises and First Kisses

Words: 594

“It's cold.” Ryuuga muttered as he rubbed both of his hands together. “Only an hour left until Christmas arrives. I’m kinda excited. How about you, Kazuki?”

Kazuki wrapped his neck with his blue winter scarf.

“Same here.” Kazuki replied with a soft tone.

“Are you excited because you’re finally going to fulfill your promise to me?” Ryuuga, with a grin, whispered to Kazuki.

Kazuki blushed and the coldness he felt all over his body was replaced with the warmth Ryuuga sent him through his whisper.

“Sh-Shut up! You do not need to remind me about that..” Kazuki uttered.

Ryuuga chuckled as he saw his lover’s embarrassed expression.

The two were walking on the sidewalk without any specific destination.

They just wanted to see how the city looks like especially that only one hour is left until the 25th of December arrives .

The moon hadn't shone its light clearly, but it didn't matter.

The city was full of Christmas lights, and those yellow-red-green colored lights illuminated the whole area.

There were lots of Christmas designs. Stars, Santa Claus, Christmas-themed balls, Candy canes, and so on. Those could be seen anywhere currently.

Each of the restaurants in the city had Christmas trees placed inside or outside.

The glass doors were decorated with Christmas decorations. The Spirit of Christmas invaded the city.

“You want to eat something? My treat.” Ryuuga offered as he held Kazuki’s hand.

Kazuki blushed again as he felt his lover’s hand crept onto his’.

“N-No, thanks. I’m not hungry.” Kazuki replied as he tried his best to bury half of his face onto his blue scarf.

Ryuuga smiled and he felt happy when he witnessed such a cute act his lover showed to him.

“Okay then. Just don’t hesitate to let me know if ever you are.” Ryuuga replied.

They continued to wander around the city.

They then arrived into the central park where the huge count-down screen was located.

There were lots of people there, doing different things.

Others were chatting with each other as they seemed to wait for Christmas.

Some lovers were doing some lovey-dovey acts without any concern that they were in public.

Ryuuga and Kazuki just each other’s hand still as they stared at the big screen.

Ryuuga held Kazuki’s hand tighter.

“Your promise, Kazuki.” Ryuuga said seriously.

Kazuki’s face was flushed red again.

Seconds passed until the people started to count together aloud.

5. 4. 3. 2.

Kazuki faced Ryuuga and he suddenly placed his lips on Ryuuga’s.

Ryuuga kissed back, and then he placed his hands on Kazuki’s waist.

Kazuki wrapped Ryuuga’s neck by his arms as they exchanged kisses.

Public display of affection didn’t matter since the others were busy with their own Christmas plans.

They just recently became lovers after all those circumstances that passed through their way, and Kazuki promised to kiss Ryuuga for the very first time exactly when the clock turns 12 on the 25th of December.

The two lovers broke their kiss, and then Kazuki blushed.

“I-It’s done.” Kazuki uttered.

Ryuuga kissed Kazuki’s forehead, and then he caressed Kazuki’s cheek

.

“I feel like I’m the happiest man on Earth right now. My Kazuki and I finally had our first kiss. I've been waiting for so long. I always waited for you since you are so innocent, Kazuki. Yet, you still did it for me. Thank you for fulfilling your promise.”

Ryuuga passionately said with eyes showing the ultimate happiness.

Kazuki suddenly kissed Ryuuga’s lips again.

“M-Merry Christmas, Ryuu.”

Title: The Perfect Late Promise

Words: 600 exactly

He forgot again. He promised.

Mato sitting at a park bench, surrounded by the love of other couples, stared at the snowy night scenery alone. He tried keeping his eyes away, but if he looked away from one couple, three more appeared. But, it was Christmas Day. And he was supposed to be with Saito. But, he forgot again. It seems Saito was late for almost every holiday they tried spending together.

Where is Saito?! If he’s at home sleeping, I’ll kick his--

Mato’s thoughts went to a stop when he let out a sneeze. He was already sick, now it’s just going to get worse. The sneeze threw him off the bench and he fell face first in the snow. That’s what he gets for sitting on the edge. Mato shivered non-stop when he stood up, and now he was even more furious. Soon enough, the anger turned to sadness, and icy tears started rolling down his cheeks. The other couples didn’t even notice Mato at all. The tears on his face got colder as Mato walked off to a secluded area by a frozen lake. Mato plopped down by the lake in a pile of freezing snow. Being in the secluded area seemed to make feel even more miserable, and the tears began flowing again.

“What the hell, you jackass…! You promised you wouldn’t be late!” Mato shouted out, knowing no one could hear him, then hid his face to muffle his crying.

I feel so alone now. That jerk was always there… I miss Saito.

“Mato!” A shout came in the distance, and the voice was too recognizable. Saito. He rushed over to Mato, who already stood up the moment he heard him. Saito’s face was bright red from being outside in the cold for so long, and he was gasping for some air. “M-Mato, I know I’m late again… I promise, I--”

Mato’s face was red too, but that was only because of the crying he did. His face stopped Saito mid-sentence, and the two stood in silence. Saito knew he messed up and felt devastated, but he had a reason. Tonight was the only time he could go. Mato opened his mouth to yell at him, but Saito yanked the other into an affection hug.

“Mato… I know I’m late. You can beat me when we get home. I know I promised I wouldn’t be late, but… I also promised I’d get the best present possible.” Saito used his own sleeve to wipe away his lover’s tears, and held him tighter. Mato tried pushing Saito away to yell at him, but something slipped on his finger. A ring. Mato stopped struggling, and his face went bright red.

“This is why I’m late. I didn’t want anyone else taking this. Mato, I love you! I love you more than anyone could possibly love someone! You mean everything to me, and I want to prove you’re the one I want! Also… You always said you wanted a family with me.” When he silenced, a little girl ran to them and clung onto their legs, giggling and repeating “Mommy, Daddy”. Saito adopted this girl. That’s why he was late. He was trying to adopt her before it was too late. He was trying to get the ring too.

Before Saito could speak again, Mato give the male a loving kiss, but not too loving infront of their daughter. Once the kiss ended, Saito nuzzled his precious Mato and their new daughter as they watched the snow together.

See, Mato? I kept my promise. Merry Christmas. I love you.

Christmas Promise:

The plane flew past dunes and hills covered with bone-white pebbles, down a gorge that once held the power of a mighty river within its jagged banks, then followed the scar in the landscape towards its final destination - a vast depression that now housed the Last City.

The first colonists had dubbed this place “Australia”, because it was "red, flat, and empty". It was never a very funny joke, and Sascha never understood why people naturally assumed he would laugh. He had only heard it about two thousand times since he left Old Sydney.

It took an hour to get his luggage from the malfunctioning Auto-maid, then another one to ride the tram into town. By the time he reached his hotel, Sascha was exhausted. He wanted a hot shower, hot food, and a very cold drink, but all of that would have to wait. He was here for a single reason, and in three hours time, Christmas would be over.

He showered quickly, using the air-drying service these modern hotels provided despite his usual reservations - he could never shake the feeling this technology was borrowed from an old carwash. Then, because he still had time, and because he still had some vanity left at age one-hundred-and-thirty-five, he shaved. When he finished, the display at the bottom of the mirror told him he had ten minutes to get dressed and catch the next tram to the Cemetery.

Sascha left his room with three minutes to spare; his suit jacket still slung over one arm while he busied himself with his tie. A few people stared at him as he took the elevator straight to the Underground, their chuckles telling him that 21st century fashion was something reserved for Halloween parties. He got fewer giggles once he boarded the Cemetery tram; all manners of oddities were expected of passengers visiting the Dead.

It was warm here, despite it being Christmas, but that was nothing strange to an Australian. He watched without much interest as the tram passed over a street party, the brilliant lights and UV displays too bright in the dark city. Street lamps were few and far between here. Crime was not a problem, but energy was. The air got colder as they neared the Cemetery. And soon, the tram stopped. Sascha looked at his watch - another antique - and nodded. He would take half an hour to get through quarantine, then...

It took him forty minutes. By the time he arrived at the Coffin it was just a minute to midnight. He pressed his palm to the panel beside the glass container, almost shouting at the display that popped up to request his name and Social Identity Code. "Sascha Lang, SIC Earth AUS-SYD AG328!"

The Coffin lit up, the alarm on his watch went off, and to the sound of "Silent Night" his lover woke.

"Hello, Sascha," said the young man in the Coffin. "Merry Christmas." Though he 'spoke' there was no sign of movement. His frozen lips remained closed, and his eyes remained shut. Flecks of ice twinkled on his skin like Christmas decorations.

"Merry Christmas." Sascha replied. "You look good," he added hastily.

"You look old," the Cryo-corpse lied.

"I love you, Mikal."

"I love you too, Sascha."

Then there was nothing more, and the container went dark. Sascha stood for a moment, lost in the sea of Coffins twinkling on for a minute here and there like fading snowflakes. Then, when he could stand the cold no more, he left, returning to the warm, red glow of the Last City on Mars.

Title: Last Visit

Words: 600

Will sighed as he got into his house. Today was Christmas Eve and the town was bustling with Christmas spirit, of which Will didn’t appreciate for once. Christmas was supposed to be the best time of the year, and he used to agree too, that was until an accident then took his lover’s, Jason, life. Since then, he had never been really been able to appreciate Christmas anymore.

In the past, he would always spend Christmas with Jason, just the both of them. Jason loved Christmas the most each year, constantly planning an extravagant surprise for him. That was how he came to love Christmas in the first place. However, now, Christmas was a mental torture as he found himself unable to spend it with others, staying at home alone and reminiscing the past with sadness.

Will sighed once more before freezing, noticing the lack of silence. Familiar sounds of cooking and a person’s humming reached his ears yet he refused to believe it. It was impossible; he had seen him die in front of him after all.

“Will? You there? Can you pass me the groceries? Welcome home by the way.”

The familiar voice shook him to the core, he recognized it anywhere, and before he knew it, he found his feet moving towards the kitchen, revealing a figure he had not seen for 2 years.

Sapphire eyes turned towards him, messy brown hair nearly covering them. His famous wide smile was on his face as he hugged Will, who had run into his arms.

“How?” Will murmured when he let the other go.

Jason merely smiled before going on with his business. Will knew this was a sign he would get his answer later, though somewhere in him did not really want to know the answer. Nodding, he started to help Jason with dinner.

Dinner went by in a flash, filled with talking and laughter between the two. It wasn’t extravagant, yet all the same, he felt happy being able to sit, talk and laugh with Jason over things again. Yet, he was no idiot, from the way Jason talked as if he had never left and the small subtle hints he dropped here and there in their conversation, he understood something.

It was only for this night.

Later, Will sighed as he cuddled against Jason, both of them admiring the snow that had started to fall not too long ago.

“Hey, don’t cry later okay?” Jason murmured, hugging him tightly.

“Shouldn’t I be telling you that?” Will replied.

“Says the person who started already.” Jason said with a sad smile as he silently comforted Will who started to sob.

As the tears slowly stopped, Jason spoke up once more. “Will, can I hold you?”

Will nodded without hesitation, even though he knew it would make his leaving harder to accept, he wanted to feel his lover’s warmth one last time.

------------

Will woke up with a jerk, hearing his alarm ring. Shutting it off, he pushed himself up, noting his lack of clothes and the faint warmth at the spot beside him.

It had not been a dream.

Shifting, he noticed a box on his table that wasn’t there before. Opening it, he was met with a heart-shape locket necklace. Noticing a note paper, he started to read.

'I kept my promise Will, here is the heart filled with love you wanted for Christmas, hope you don’t mind the lateness. Forever with you, Jason.'

His tears welled up again as he put it on. Maybe Christmas could become better again, after all, he had Jason now.

Hope you guys out there liked my story. I was actually hoping to post this at midnight as a Christmas present for you all but I had something on then so nevermind.

Merry Christmas my fellow Yaoi Otakus!! :hamtaro-005 (8):

Title: Of Stars and Firsts of Forever

Word Count: 549

Warnings: BIG BALL OF FLUFF. and lapslock.

"it’s too big lu han, i told you."

sehun shakes his head as his roommate turned lover tries to attach the glittery pink star at the top of the tree without anything to stand on. even he, who was a full head taller than the other, had to at least stand on the tip of his toes just to reach the top of the christmas tree.

"oops!"

he winced when lu han almost toppled over the tree and the star just mockingly glittered back at sehun. it was kind of flamingly gay when he first saw it and now, sehun’s expression curling in distaste, just downright horrendous in all its bright highlighter pink glory. not that he didn't try to make the other see reason when they were choosing —

"that’s for buildings!"

"too heavy for the tree!

"pick another one, please."

"no, not that lu ha—"

"no lu han—"

"no—"

"okay, you know what, i give up."

— but lu han was adamant and he can’t really say no to that face so that was that.

their small apartment was a mess. a number of decorations, big and small for the christmas tree, was scattered on the floor and their beds. there was no surface untouched with glitter, left over strings, and rejected tape strips from the self-help designs (it was a dollar wasted because the help part was entirely misleading).

it was going to be a nightmare to clean up.

"hey." sehun blinked back his attention when someone poked him on his cheek. he sees lu han beside him and, "spacing out?"

a light flush colors his face and unwilling to show lu han, he shifts his gaze back to the top of the christmas tree.

huh. the star was there, still too gay for the whole tree but properly placed. finally, the christmas tree was done. and for him, it was pretty perfect for the two of them – bright pink on dark, lush green; glittery on a solid color.

sehun turns back to lu han who was grinning at his work, hand on hips and glitters on his face. lu han probably noticed his stare and he took a step closer to him to pinch both of his cheeks.

"happy first christmas together?" lu han has that soft smile and sehun wanted nothing more than to feel it again on his lips as his heart warms with the words.

he reaches up and pries lu han's loose pinch but keeps those hands against his face, feeling the warmth radiating from the simple touch of those smaller hands. he bends down and leaves the tiniest space between their lips to whisper,

"first of forever." it’s a promise, the star glittery lights up on the background.

sehun smiles as lu han tugs his face closer, pressing their lips together. they separate after a moment and lu han breathily chuckles, sending warm puffs of air to his face.

he only remembers that lu han’s hands were as covered with glitter as their floor.

"now we match." lu han smirks and hops away to their kitchen before he can retaliate. he affectionately sighs as lu han starts clanging the utensils and calls him to help start making dinner.

sehun could definitely get used to a forever like this.

"Letter of Existence"

It’s white…….

Why is it white?………

Are you tired?........

Such beautiful eyes………..

………|I adore it|……..

“Even though it’s red…”

I couldn’t move, I’m being supported by a bed of snow

And it’s really cold……..

But somehow my head is transfixed upward, I can clearly see the sky, it was white

Huh?.... no it’s not… snow is just building up on my glasses.

“Are you dying ?”

I got startled a bit, what did he say?, even though I can’t move I tried my best to looked at whoever it is, a human figure had been formed against my blurring glasses.

I tried to squint my eyes to look at him more, and moments later, I’m picturing his face already, his hair was black, and he was looking at me smiling, but why….

“it’s red”

“why is it red?........”

What is he saying?

“Are you tired?......”

He came in closer, then I realized he was our neighbor who’s always smiling by the window side, then I realized that he got a pair of crimson eyes

Such beautiful eyes……

I thought while I look at him

But he never goes out, so I come by and say hi once in a while,

whenever I saw him looking at the window, he would smile and wave back

Why is he in the window side all the time though, his always in his bedroom, such a sad way to live…..

“…….Your dying…..”

“…….”

He smiles again, then he placed his hands on my cheeks, it was cold, but at the same time it was comforting…..

“I won’t let you die though…….” With that everything started to get completely white, and the man holding my cheeks disappeared completely……..

There are different kinds of mumbles roaming around

I opened my eyes slowly, then I look around me, I was in a hospital while the doctor keeps on speaking.

“ah! I think his awake now!” an old lady came rushing to my side

“You idiotic son of mine! Good thing a police found you, he said you we’re beat up and stab by a knife in your side, and they think it’s probably robbery since some of your items are missing!” my mother was mad but soon she cried and hugged me.

Then I remembered everything that happened, but why police, isn’t it….., we’ll probably he called a police to help me out….. yeah…..

-------------------------------------

Soon I was completely released from the hospital, so before everything else I decided to go to my neighbor to thank him properly, but…. I didn’t think I would actually receive this kind of news.

“what did you say? Are you sure?”

The lady nodded “he died a month ago”

A month ago? So he died weeks before my incident….

“He always had a weak body… so it’s probably a good thing that he passed away peacefully” the lady’s voice was on the brink of crying

“He left this to whoever tried to look for him he said, you must be his friend” she smiled and handed over a letter to me, I took it and started reading it.

--Thank you…. You made me happy, I’ll treasure the gift you gave me, I never thought you would actually fulfill your promise of giving me a gift this coming Christmas, anyhow I’m grateful for this, blue is my favorite color though… but anyhow thank you

I adore it--

“Even though it’s white…..” are the last words written, an aching sensation rushed over my chest, while looking at the letter, I thought to myself…..

That it was him after all…..,

He was there.

sorry I submitted in the very last minute .___.""

Title: A Little Forecasting and Astrophysics

Word Count: 600

Author's Note: A little bit character-centric (gome ~.~)

With his knees wobbly and forehead sweaty, Peter Anderson held his bride’s hands tightly in his own. He was nervous, very nervous. If he had known that this many – about 60 – people would come, he would have given out only a number of invitations whether his lover would have liked it or not. He had stage fright, one that could not be easily overcome.

That was what he thought.

He met Aaron Lockwood in a bookstore a little over a year ago. He was having his first bookreading when his throat closed in on him at the middle of the second chapter. Panic-stricken and wide-eyed, Peter stuttered the following words as he glanced at the crowd, trying to see if they noticed anything. His eyes landed on a smiling brunette who nodded at him to go on when he was at a loss for words. That was the first time Aaron helped him cope.

The memory had him smiling for a moment as he looked up to meet Aaron’s blue eyes. The encouraging gleam was still there yet why was he feeling fidgety?

It must not be the crowd then?

Aaron noticed Peter furrowing his eyebrows and then squeezed the man’s hand lightly.

What’s the matter?, Aaron mouthed. Peter only shook his head and focused his attention to the pastor who was drawling words from the Bible.

Aaron sighed. His lover was a very eccentric and stubborn man. Sighing once more, Aaron squeezed his lover’s hand so hard that his lover whipped his head towards him and glared at him momentarily as he hissed a what towards the younger man.

“What is your problem?” Aaron asked in a small voice even though he knew so well that the old pastor would not hear him.

“Nothing,” Peter replied, eyes darting to the crowd. “Anyway, they might hear.”

“I don’t care about them hearing us Peter.”

“Why do you keep asking?”

“I’m just worried so please I –-“

Peter grunted exasperatedly and replied, “Are we really doing this Aaron? Right now?”

Aaron bit his lip. He reached out to cup Peter’s left cheek. “I...I...Peter, just give me this one moment please? Tell me what’s bothering you.”

Peter closed his eyes and leaned in slightly to his lover’s soft touch. “I...I’m not sure what I’m worried about. There’s my stage fright but I don’t think it is because you’re here so then it –- “

Peter was cut off by a bunch of guests standing up at pointing at the shooting stars passing through the dark sky. Aaron looked up and cooed softly. Peter looked up as well then his jaw dropped. “ – must be that.”

Aaron looked at his lover in surprise. “What? You planned this all along? I thought you wanted it tonight because it was Christmas? Oh sweet heavens.” With that, Aaron jumped into Peter’s arms and pecked him. The pastor looked shocked, causing both men to chuckle softly.

“I’m sorry. Cannot resist,” Aaron sheepishly said.

Peter kissed the back of his lover’s hand when he calmed down. “I’m an astrophysics maniac remember?”

The pastor cleared his throat and motioned both men to exchange vows. After a few words and a tear silently rolling down Aaron’s cheek, the pastor announced, “You may now kiss the bride.”

Just when Peter leans in for the most awaited kiss, a tiny snowflake landed on Aaron’s nose. The latter smiled and chuckled softly. “A forecaster as well?”

Peter smiled back as he pecked his husband’s nose. “I’ll always be your forecaster.”

“Forever?”

“Yes.”

Forever.

And then Peter leaned in to finally kiss his bride.

Title: A Promise to Stay

Words: 579

The subway came to a whistling stop and an automatic female voice informed me that I was now arriving at 42nd street. I adjusted my apparel to that it best covered my skin and stood to exit the busy car to the busier station, and eventually to the even busier street. As the doors slid open, I slipped out and stepped pointedly up the stairs to the chilly city avenue. Snow was beginning to fall, gently coating the shoulders and eyelashes of bundled street-goers. My breath fogged in front of my face as I started off in the direction of my apartment. I carefully nudged my earbud further into my ear canal and picked up my pace; it was cold out. The sooner I got home, the sooner I could-

Oh no.

I avoided this sort of thing, or at least I always tried, but there he was, cowering behind a cardboard sign pleading for change. I stopped in my tracks; my heart was pounding and clouds were appearing before me in smaller intervals as I exhaled, my whole body was suddenly covered in goose-bumps and my palms began to perspire; this was bad. Swallowing, I stepped with wobbly legs to the man, out of the way of the side-walk traffic. He looked up at me with haunted, caffeine-laden eyes. I glanced away and spoke softly, “Follow me, I’ll get you a cocoa and give you a place to spend the night.” He began to stand, confusion and disbelief intermingling across his unshaven face. He wasn’t unattractive, with sandy, soft-looking hair and rainy-day-sky colored eyes- this wasn’t helping. I offered a hand for shaking, but when he took it, I merely clamped my fingers around his and ran.

I didn’t stop tugging him through the streets until I’d reached the elevator to my apartment building. We stood panting, and I let go of his hand with a blush as the numbers ticked up. “Sorry,” I blurted suddenly, then said nothing more. When the elevator reached floor 4 -my floor- I beckoned for him to follow me down the hall to my flat. By the time we’d shed our layers, popped off our shoes, and I fixed a pair of cocoas and sat him on the couch, the shock was dying down and the tips of our noses were beginning to thaw. He half grinned and chuckled, “thanks,” An awkward silence passed, and we each sipped our drinks slowly.

“C-can I use your bathroom?” the stranger piped up. Thankful for the distraction, I nodded and guided him to his destination. Only it was his turn to surprise me.

As soon as we reached the small room, he pushed me up against the wall and forced his unshaven face against mine in a passionate kiss. I recoiled, breaking the contact with, “w-what the… hell was that?!” He offered a practiced peasant grin, one meant to induce sympathy, and said breathily, “A kiss, yeah? No, no don’t pretend you’re not enjoying this, you’re as straight as Lombard Street, and I’m the same way, so let’s just enjoy each other’s company. I saw the way you looked at me, and then looked way after. You know you want this.” At that, he attacked my face again, and I’ll be honest, I melted.

After a while, we broke apart. I pressed my forehead against his temple and heaved, “Forget about spending the night, you can stay the rest of the winter. You’ve earned it.”
