"Maybe if he sees me he'll know I'm not missing thus not filling a missing person's report which, I'm sure will be aired in the news all over. And I also want to talk to him about the 'joining th government after high school' thing. I'm going to refuse, it's just wrong to force something they don't want to be."

He looked at Ethan thinking he was doubting him.

"If you don't believe me then you can accompany me to see if I'm lying."

" i admire your enthusiasm but if you say no toyour father he'll know something's up. Now that you have an option of your own but... "

Ethen sighed.

" i havr a bad feeling about this but I'll help you out as long as im tagging along. "

He looked at Rintaro.

" you sure this is a good idea?"

Rintaro was happy knowing he wouldn't be alone.

"Of course it's not a good idea, but that's what makes it...interesting." he said smirking slyly.

"Thanks Ethen." he added, his voice a bit gentle

" yeah yeah. Im awesome"

He smiled.

" everyone's about to.leave so lets go.. well.sneak out the back. Can we walk there or do we need a ride?"

I wondered standing up. And opening the door as he headed down the hall ready to get this done...

"I think we'll need a ride...it's pretty far from here, wherever here is." He couldn't clearly remember the road back home but he knew the address.

"Do you have a gps tracking device or something?" he asked also standing.

" alright we'll take a motorcycle and yeah"

He lead Rintaro to the garage and hopped on one of the random bikes.

" hop and just say were you want to go."

He yawned tired. Hopefully everything would turn out well...

Rintaro only gawked at the motorcycle. He had never even rid a bicycle, how would he know how to ride a motorcycle? How did you maintain your balance when riding it? He wanted to ask if they could use a vehicle but that would be too much. Ethen was already doing so much going with him, he had to appreciate. He awkwardly climbed onto the motorcycle. He stated the address and immediately regretted it. He would have been thrown off if his hands weren't on the handles. The garage door opened letting him out.

Where were the brakes? How would you stop? He was lucky he knew how to turn, if not he would have been dead by now.

Shit...shit...shit!! It was his first time cursing but who cared about manners at a time like that? After some minutes of dangerous skidding and turning, he finally found the brakes on his handles. He slowed down a bit and let out a sigh of relief.

He maintained his balance as he zipped through the wind and cars, his blonde hair flailing. The wind against his cheek felt really good and would occationally close his eyes for a bit.

The feeling was great. It was as if he had wings and was sailling through the wind...the feeling was free...freedom.

He looked at the passing skycrapers, they were near...

" hahaha first time on a bike huh? "

He laughed being beside Rintaro.

" we better getthis done fast before Jun finds out..."

He smiled winking at Rintaro as he took.the lead. Speeding.

Ethen was pretty hot as well.. with his blond hair and blue eyes. And best of all he was very kind with a great personality! So why was he not taken? Or was he?

Though Rintaro looked like a professional on the motorcycle, he couldn't beat the real thing. He laughed as Ethen went ahead of him. He was bound to have a relationship, he would squeeze the information out of him but now, it was time to be serious.

So far everything looked normal but not until they entered the higher parts of the city. Most of the holographic billboards on buildings had his picture on them with the words 'missing' and contact information of the police written on them. He was only gone for one night and this happened. He was amazed that all that was done overnight.

They neared his home, which was an unnecessarily large mansion but stylish. They were around the corner when they spotted the five and over government cars parked in the compound and some soldiers stationed at the gates.

He was starting to regret making this decision. He then shouted at Ethen when they were about to reach the gates. "follow my lead!" he increased his speed... I hope we'll make it out of this...

" Whoa! They really went all out for you Rintaro"

He said nodding as he followed the others lead. Shit! That was a huge house! If ethen didn't know any better he'd think Rintaro was royalty. He was very rich...so why join them? A ton of rebel thugs revolting against the government. Sure feelings and emotions are great but....

Ethen sighed as he saw the government cars and frowned.

Here goes nothing...Rintaro thought.

He pulled over at the gate with Ethen behind him. The soldiers at the gate aimed their guns at them but the minute they saw Rintaro's face, they lowered them.

"He's back." one of them whispered in his earpiece. They all looked expressionless...just like dead people. The gates opened signalling them to enter. He dismounted his motorcycle. He didn't know why he had the feeling it would be better to leave it there. "Follow me Ethen.'' He said quietly. They entered the compound then the mansion which was full of other soldiers. The butler came to them and led them to where his father was. He had to admit, he missed this place with its large hallways and rooms. But it didn't have the homey feeling he got when he was with the rebels.

 

The butler opened the two doors to his father's study, they entered, the butler closing the door behind them. There were some soldiers in the study with his father, a tall figure, brown hair with streaks of white hair and grey colored eyes. He was seated in his plush chair behind his big desk, looking at Rintaro. He stood from his chair and went up to Rintaro who was as stiff as a board. The air was so tense it was hard to breath. A slap sounded in the awkward silence then another. Rintaro rubbed his red cheeks...they really hurt.

"I remember telling you to never defy me but yet you go and do this. I am disappointed in you...now go to your room.''

Rintaro glanced at his father's face, he had an angry expression. Why did he have `an expression' when he had the chip? It only meant one thing...his father was one of the government officials without the chip.

"And chase him away.'' his father added looking at Ethen. He turned on his heel.

"...no." Rintaro said as he stood straight. His father paused mid-step and turned his head slightly.

"`No' you said?'' Rntaro had a serious expression making his father's eyes widen.

''He's my friend and I'm not here to stay. I-''

"where is your chip?" his father interrupted Rintaro.

Rintaro continued like he wasn't. "I came to tell you that I do not want to work in the government. I want-''

"shut up! Who removed your chip?!'' his father interrupted moving closer to Rintaro.

Yet Rintaro continued. "I want to live my life the way I want to. I will not be controlled by you any longer. This is my life and I will live it to the fullest!''

His father raised his hand, threatening to hit him again but Rintaro didn't even flinch. He held a strong gaze but inside his heart was filled with fear. His father lowered his hand.

"Useless! I knew it...I saw this coming but I ignored it! I should have ended your life a long time ago just the way I did to your mother!'' His father took the hand gun of the soldier nearest to him and aimed it at Rintaro.

"W-what do you mean?!'' Rintaro's face reflected the fear he was feeling. It made his father laugh...a very cold laugh.

"I removed your mother's chip secretly because I loved her so much! But she started saying that everyone deserved to `live'. She was becoming a threat and one time she wanted to remove your chip so she could run away with you! But I decided to end it all so I eliminated the threat! I wanted to kill you too but I thought I would use you so I let you live! And This is the the kind of thanks I get for doing that!'' He laughed like a maniac and then added, "I erased your memory of that night just like an unwanted file in a computer! But now I'll erase you!'' he cocked the gun ready to shoot.

'...never make an attack obvious...got it?' Jun's voice floated in Rintaro's head. He didn't know why he thought of him at a time like this but he had to save his life...one he had just started living.

He steadied his foot and quickly kicked the gun from his father's hand which was bound to hurt. While his father was wallowing his injury, Rintaro turned and took Ethen's hand.

''Let's go!'' He darted from the study still holding Ethen's hand. They were fast that the soldiers didn't have time to react. They were out of the mansion and the gate when Rintaro let go of Ethen's hand and boarded his motorcycle. Ethen did the same, Rintaro said the address and they were already out of there when the soldiers began opening fire...

Ethen didn't know what to think...but he felt very sorry for Rintaro. To have a twisted dad that killed your mom and then just mintues ago tried to kill you .

Ethen ducked as shots were fired but one had a laser gun and got his bike. He quickly crashed- falling off . His skin scrapping on the ruthless concrete.

" ahh! "

His entire arm scratched up and bleeding.

" Rintato!"

He called for the other but froze when a soldier stood over him with a gun to his head.

He glared. Glancing at Rintaro.

" Go on! Get away!!"

He was suddenly kicked in the stomach and coughed.

He hoped Rintaro would run away. He didn't want his friend to get caught. No matter what happened to him...

Everything was happening so fast that Rintaro didn't have time to think of his argument with his father.

"Ethen!" Rintaro shouted when he saw his friend on the ground with a soldier aiming at him. He U-turned so violently that he was nearly thrown off his bike. He was really pissed when Ethen suggested he ran away.

"I thought you were an idiotic air-head but not to this extent!"

He charged forward towards the soldier aiming at Ethen. He didn't run him over with enough force to kill him but to knock him unconscious. Way in front of him, he saw the government cars following each other heading for them in full speed. Would they make it?

"Shit!" he got off his motorcycle and headed for Ethen. He helped the man up with a little difficulty but they pulled through.

"Hold on tight!" he told Ethen as he put him on the bike then he also mounted and started the engine and drove off.

He couldn't go straight to the hide-out, he just had to lose them.

He entered corners and highways but they were still being followed. One of the government cars was side by side with them occasionally trying to push Rintaro off the road or maybe trying to cause them to crash, the second was highly possible.

How can I lose these guys?

He entered another corner but this road was filled with civillian cars stuck in traffic. Of course! Traffic was the perfect solution. Since he had a motorcycle, he flexibly zipped through the jam leaving the government cars far behind.

Until he was sure he had lost them, he turned yet another corner and said the address of the hide-out. They drove for quite a while but only when they were near the hide-out, did Rintaro feel at ease...

" thanks... but if recall correctly you called me a idiotic air head..."

He frowned in pain.

" i take offense to that you ass hole"

He smirked not meaning it truly. And was happy when they reached the underground hide out.

" its good be home...but how are we going to explain my injuries? "

He queshioned getting off the bike his body so sore and stiff he fell to his knees.

" ahh shit! That hurts! "

Rintaro wasn't planning on making himself pitiful and one way by doing that was by building a bridge over what had occured with his father and getting over it though it would leave a scare in his memory.

If I'm here where I feel at home, I know I'll be able to do so...but I'm not so sure.

He got off the motorcycle to help Ethen up. He put Ethen's good arm around his neck.

"When someone asks, we'll think of something. For now we need to take care of your wounds. Just tell me where I should take you."

" infirmary... its in the hall. And hopefully Yuki is there.

Yuki was the best doctor they had. Ethen limped walking with Rintaro.

" how are you holding up?"

He said feeling sorry for his new room mate and forever friend.

" i mean...you dad..."

He said sadly.

" you ok?"

[Elmeida]

"Right now, I just want to forget what happened...sleep it off, pretend it's a dream...but I know it's not possible." he said it soflty like he was in a trance. Then he laughed weakly, "Don't worry about me, I'll bounce back in no time."

Would he really?

He felt so much hate right now...for his father. Many a times, he tried to deny what had occured but it was deeply etched in his memory. At times when he blinked, he would see his father's wicked face in front of him which made his heart beat in undeniable fear.

I just need some rest...a shower too, then I'll be fine, he assured himself but he doubted he would.

They reached the infirmary and the door automatically opened to them...

Yuki watwirling a pen in her hands bored and sighing,when rintaro and ethen came in. Hereyes widened.

"Oh my god! What happened to you!!"

He boasted. Grabbing Ethen and putting him on a hospital bed. He glanced at Rintaro glaring.

" both of you explain yourselves! "

He hissed. Cleaning the blood off of Ethen.

 

Ethen glanced at Rintaro. That was a good queshion. What the hell happened?

[Elmeida]

He had a feeling Yuki didn't like him, it was just a hunch.

He hadn't planned on being asked this soon.

''Ah, you see...it's a really long story...um...we were,'' What could he say however it couldn't be the truth. ''Ethen here was showing me some moves...but he lost balance and fell down,'' he looked at Ethen's massive injury and then added, ''...really hard.''

"Dont you dare lie to me! Im not stupid! Only concrete can do this! His skin practically torn off!"

She glared at him. She started looking threw her things for some spray to disinfect the wound,

" Try a better lie newbie! Im waking for the truth! And don't think Jun won't hear about this! "

 

She clearly didnt like Rintaro...

This was going worse than he expected and Jun hearing about it...he couldn't even imagine what would happen. He had to get his act up fast.

"But I'm not lying..." it's only half the truth, he thought. He then walked closer to Yuki, putting on a confident act. He looked straight at her eyes filled with hatred for him...just like his father's eyes. "I didn't say we were training in the training grounds, we were in the garage, there's concrete there right? Don't you believe me?" peridot green eyes that would make anyone flinch or blush were staring straight at her...

She squinted her eyes at Rintaro. She then turned away.

" whatever. "

She wasn't easily swayed.she found the spray and sprayed it on Ethen's wound.

" w-wait is that gonna string- OWWW!!"

He whimpered at the stinging sensation. She then put a strange gel on his wound and then took a blue light. Letting it hit ethen's wounds and right before Rintaro's eyes. Ethens woud was closing up.

"Stay under the light for about 10 mintues. And as for you!"

She turned to Rintaro.

" im watching you..."

She hissed. Going back to her desk and doing whatever she was doing...

It wasn't a hunch...she did hate him.

"Yuki is very...like-able." he told Ethen sarcastically.

"Are you ok? I've got nothing to do right now, I can wait for you if you want"

" haha- your telling me. But nah- im fine. Go a head with out me."

He looked to his wound.

" you do know your way around by now right?"

 

Jun punched the wall...there mission was a complete failure. The government saw them coming and sent gundam after them! They didnt have equipment to go up against huge robots like those. So they had to fall back. Jum sighed standing in the hall way.

damn it...there trying to over power us! I'll show them!

Rintaro gladly left the room, he was a bit uncomfortable staying in the same room with someone who clearly hated him. He sighed deeply as he walked the halls. He touched his forehead and sighed again. His face was flushed and he was burning up...is this what they called a fever?

Call him crazy but he was happy he had a fever for the very first time. But every time he closed his eyes...images of his father would appear and make him shiver all over:with fear. He wavered as he walked down the hall, not looking at his surroundings but lost in a daze with the question 'why' everything happened in his head.

He turned a corner and bumped into someone who was standing in the hall. He stumbled but used the wall as support.

"Ah-I'm so sor...Jun." He whispered the name as he looked at Jun.

Why? Why was it at the moment he saw Jun, all the troubling thoughts, all images of his hysterical father and all the feelings of fear, all of them...seemed to vanish. Only Jun, who was standing in front of him right now, filled his head, his heart. The fear he was feeling a moment before seemed unreal. Why did he have this squeezing feeling in his heart whenever he saw Jun?

Though his fever was still there, relief flowed into him and it showed on his face too as he smiled to Jun. He noticed that Jun looked a bit...angry. Then he remembered Jun was to take the government by surprise. By the looks of it, he knew it had backfired. But he was happy it did, he didn't know what he would do if Jun was hurt.

"I'm glad you're safe...Jun." Though it was just another cheesy line, he meant it.
