He sighed. He changed to the news and flipped threw the news reports. Stopping at a new break threw.

A scientist has come up with a new microchip chip. Jun was horrified. In angry he punched the steel walls. Over amd over.. nothing he was doing was working. He was letting every one down! Everyone!

Rintaro had barely slept for three hours when he woke up. He was amazed that he had actually slept.

He sat up and glanced beside him, there was nothing. He sighed pulling back his bangs.

"Of course he's gone. What did I expect, a breakfast in bed and a sweet 'good morning' from Jun with those cute expressions he made yesterday night? haha..." He murmured to himself imagining it and laughing weakly.

He was unhappy that Jun hadn't woken him up. But this was a good thing too, he was allowed more time to sleep.

He got up from the bed stretching and headed for the showers, gladly using Jun's soap.

First a shower then straight to bed, he thought as he shampooed his hair. After he was done changing, he got out of the room and walked in the hallway.

Jun frowned. He'd stay in his office all day. Having food pills all the time wasn't healthy, he sat down reading the 24 page article about this new chip and the scientist . There was a knock at his door.

" who is it?"

" its Yuki, open up"

" not now- im buzzy. Go away"

" is everything ok? Jun....jun?!"

She sighed and headed back to the mess hall.

Ethen was worried about his friend- since he didn't return to there room..

Rintaro entered the dorm. Ethen's bed was already spread and his bed untouched.

He was happy that he would have some peace and quiet. He threw himself on his bed and closed his tired eyes.

Five seconds hadn't passed when his father's face floated in his mind saying 'die'.

"Urghh!" He groaned as he sat up. He couldn't sleep after all.

That ordeal still gave him the chills but now it had given him a plan.

He lazily slid off his bed and walked to the mess hall. If he couldn't sleep, he could eat.

 

He entered the mess hall and immediately spotted Ethen seated where they were last time.

He strode to the table, which was nearly run out of food. He took a cup and put herbal tea, it was bound to wake him up and he didn't feel like eating.

He then went up to Ethen and where he was sitting with the guys he had met before.

"Hey..." he said but it didn't look like a greeting. With the bags under his eyes, it looked like he was glaring at them...

I knew he would ask, Rintaro thought as he pulled out a chair, sat down and drank the tea looking all dignified but weary.

Of course he couldn't tell him, not in front of these other guys too.

Jun would kill him if rumors started spreading.

"Sorry about my appearance, I'm just sleep deprived," he apologized laughing calmly, "I was at a sleepover.........for two.'' he added, sipping his tea again with closed eyes.

Where was Rintaro? Where could the guy possibly go?

" what ever don't tell me"

He ate his food giving Rintato the silent treatment.

That's no fun at all, Rintaro thought sulking a bit.

Anyway, that's not the case. Now it's time to get serious.

He glanced at Ethen intently enough to make the air tense.

"Pardon me, do you know how to handle computers? Are there any mega computers here?"

He glanced at rintaro. Still mad.

 

" hey.. did you guys here?"

A guy said near them talking to his friends.

" hear what."

" thats a new microchip coming out! And these we can't remove. Were so fucked - were the hell his Jun! Some leader he is"

Ethen's eyes widened.

" holy crap...were so screwed. "

"No we're not!" Rintaro suddenly shouted. He wanted to apologize for his behavior but he didn't.

Now he was wide awake.

He got up from his chair but he didn't leave, instead he looked at the person who had said that.

"Where's your trust in your leader?! The trust I saw when you followed him yesterday even though you knew it was a futile attempt...but you did without question! If you doubt his leadership then we are screwed or..whatever it is we will be. Instead of questioning, we should be thinking of a way to stop that chip from being activated!

We're not the 'rebellion' if we don't rebel!" He shouted but he kept his cool. He was embarrassed but he had to say it.

...and I as a rebel will do all within my power, he thought.

Jun had heard Rintaro 's speech. As he came into the mess hall. Everyone was quiet. As they turned there attention on Jun.

".. well....im sure many of you heard about the new microchip... i need these people to meet me in the meding room in 8 hours. "

He said 12 names. And didn't say Rintaro's.

" if any of you have lost your trust in.me..then by all means leave and let a chip be back inside you. I don't lead cowards. I lead a rebellion. Full of heros... "

He left the room. Jun didn't look so great... he had bags under his eyes and hushair a tangled mess...

"...Jun.." a whisper escaped his gaping mouth when Jun walked in.

Now he was really embarrassed but he still looked at Jun.

He doesn't look so good, Rintaro thought. It was none other than his fault.

He felt guilty and, just like last time, he ran out of the room and followed Jun.

He was angry that Jun hadn't mentioned him. Did he still hate him for being who he was?

"Jun, I want to help too." he said behind Jun who was a few steps in front of him...

He stopped. Glancing back at Rintaro.

"... i have enough on my plate.the responsibility i have weighing me down every step i take. Last night..was a one time thing... i don't have time for you...so forget about it. It will never happen again"

He looked away as he continued to walk. He was rather cool. But...he knew he hurt Rintaro's feelings and that was the hole point

 

The point was to stay away from him....to not fall for him...to not...love him.

Rintaro's face twisted in pain and anger. He froze and didn't move an inch, the heaviness of Jun's words weighing him down.

He pushed back his bangs, clearly watching as Jun left him. How could he say that when he felt the connection between them? Had Jun really forgotten?

No matter how much Rintaro tried, he couldn't forget the love they shared. The warmth still lingered within him.

He leaned on the wall for a couple of minutes, lost in his thoughts. He felt discarded...a feeling clenched his heart:sadness.

But now wasn't the time to think about himself. Jun was trying his best to lead them and to stop the government's plans. He needed help even though he didn't want it.

This was about everyone and he would also try his best. First by training, with the way his body was, he needed a whole lot of training. He would try to speed up his process but that would require stamina. He stood up straight and walked to the infirmary.

If he couldn't sleep naturally at night, he needed something that would put him to sleep...
