Burning Metal (akiravadel and Ideduce)

Ed looked over at Roy as he set up their fire in the chimney, "really? Half the time I don't know when you're being serious. You always talk down to me or be a pervert so how am I supposed to know." Grabbing the wood with his right hand he placed it in the fire. His left stayed tucked against the front of himself. "If you're serious I won't turn away your help. I'd give anything for information on it."

"If we manage to pull this off. You have to go on three dates with me undercover in a dress." He smiled. "And no I'm not joking." (XD)

Ed blushed and glared at him, "a-as long as the information is sound..." He wasn't joking either. Roy would have better access to information and h could decode it and slowly make sense of it.

[ideduce]

He grabbed his winter coat.

 

"It's there Ed. Lets go get it. So we can go home."

[akiravadel]

"It's where?" Ed stood tucking his left arm into his pocket carefully but winced slightly. The blond wondered what he could mean. Was there really information on the stone here?!

[ideduce]

"Follow me." Roy smiled and out he went he looked up at the tower in the snow storm. He pointed at it. "there's an ice crystal castle that way, and at the top is tower and on top o that........I believe is where a stone can be created. We find out how we get our stone......But ed.....let me tell you. They're deadly, and fake ones are even more dangerous." It was then he decided to tell Ed about the war and what he did with a fake stone.

"I've run into some people with fake ones," the blond shook his head. "I found some disturbing information on the stone lately and I want to make sure it isn't true... you... didn't use a fake one did you? Did you know it was fake?" Tilting his head a bit he looked over at the raven, he was of course following the other.

[ideduce]

"I didn't care if it was or wasn't at the time. I didn't know anything about it except for the fact it enhanced alchemy. That's really all I needed to know at the time. I did what I was told by my commanding officer. That's why I'm trying to be furher. Something wasn't right about that day. That war. It felt wrong. It was wrong." he hands balled into fists. "Whatever it was, it was staring me in the face and I still don't see it. I will though. One day."

 

He looked up the crystal tower. The further inside they got the reder the walls became. Roy stopped seeing the walls blood red, and he realized......They were literally 'blood' red. He froze on the spot. He then rubbed hsi head feeling faint again. It felt like his blood thinned like water. Like water? His blood ran like water when they were attacked.

 

"Edward....." He found he was using the other's name a bit more but he was also trusting him with information he didn't usually tell people. ".......I can't use my flame in here or the ice will melt. I can cast some fire but it won't be too much." luckily for them the human eye was rather remarkable so long as it had a flicker of light from anywhere. Roy felt his back burn as he controlled very small dancing fireballs to see where they were going. They deeper they want the more ominous it got. In the blood ice were bodies. Roy stopped. It didn't phase him too badly. He had seen his fair shair of bodies. Some of the bodies were torn in two. Then roy realized. Not some. ALL.

 

"They've all been torn in half....." he looked over to Ed to see how he was holding up.

 

(Sorry if it got dark and creepy......I like scaring Ed )

With his hand tucked in his pocket Ed followed the raven not knowing what they would find. Once they came into the blood red room he assumed for a moment it was because of his jacket reflecting off the ice but then the red god deeper and more... more blood like. This wasn't his jacket at all.

 

Seeing the bodies in half was the last straw. He stood there pale and shaking. Flashbacks of a mangled body on the ground or others he'd seen hurt. The blond looked about ready to faint. Never had he been surrounded in so much death.

Roy looked at him and went over and slapped him to snap him out of it. He then covered his eyes with a gloved hand.

 

"You're at my house wondering why the hell I keep so many bonsai plants." he moved his hand seeing he closed his eyes. "It's relaxing isn't it?" He took his hand. "Let me show you around the living room." he just made things up and he went deeper.

 

He placed Ed's hands on a metal ladder.

 

"I had a secret base as a kid lets go up there for a bit I'll be right behind you so don't peek." Clever Roy.

Ed knew it was a joke that he wasn't really at Roy's place but this was comforting in a way. Swallowing hard he trembled still but wasn't panicking any longer. Slowly stepping forward he held his hand tightly until he reached the ladder. Breathing heavily he tried to calm down but the darkness was scary too.

 

Climbing slowly up he made his way to the top and crawled on the ground a ways until he could sit and wait for Roy. Reaching his hand up he whispered, "taisa?"

He pulled him up when he reached the top.

 

"Yes?" he asked looking around. "Well this room is certainly better.......Sort of......You can open your eyes."

 

In the center of the tower was what looked like a well. Blood on the outer sides. He looked at the writting.

 

"Give your life water for the ultimate weapon.....There are equations here.....For how much blood is needed.....For what? What can you make as a weapon with blood?" He went to the books around the room and started looking at them.

 

He moved closer to Edward showing him a book on the stone.

 

"Look." he gave it to him and went off grabbing other books looking at the circle needed to take out a village namely this one. They willingingly killed themselves for the greater good. It looked a lot like central in some aspacts. the roads were differnt but if they looked at the sewer system in central it's the same. "It's genoside.....I don't understand the Fuher can't use alchemy why bother. I don't understand.......I'm missing something." He tried to think. "What am I missing?"

Ed blinked a couple of times then looked aorund the room. Of course seeing the blood didn't make him feel better but it wasn't as bad as mangled bodies. The blond looked through some of the books and papers trying to make sense of it all. After looking through a couple his brain suddenly made a connection he wasn't prepared to learn, "No..."

 

Turning to the papers making the outline around the city his blood ran cold, "no... nonononono!" He threw the book away from himself. "That can't be true!" He brought his hands to his head feeling a horrible wave of nausea hit him. "It's made... from humans."

"I know that Ed but what does a humunculous want with it!" Roy shouted. There was a loud clam as Roy's arm got trapped in metal. "What the...." gears moved and he was pulled right to the open well like thing that had blood on the side. The metal case was far too big for just an arm to be put through......" There was a grounding sound as a drill was lowering. roy stared and realized what he triggered. He pulled but couldn't get loose so he snapped his fingers only to double over half in the well getting sick and watching blood leave his mouth. He stared in shock and fear but it did stop. The ring he saw. Using alchemy would make one really sick. Blood like water.

 

"Shit.....Full Metal don't use your alchemy." He looked up at the large drill. He huffed tried to think only to get sick again. "Ah...AHHHH!" his back glowed and it could be seen through his shirt and coat. He felt his circle being activated against his own will. Roy punched metal case that held him denting it a bit. It wasn't strong metal. He hit it again which bruised ins fingers and his white clove was stained red and it dripped right through the cloth which kept the machine going. ""Your arm....That won't bleed break the gears of the case NOW!" he demanded.

 

The circle that minipulated how their bodies bleed and break easily. It was as if they were old men instead of what they really were. A fall could easily kill them in this state.

Ed gasped and looked around in shock then his eyes went back to Roy seeing the blood and feeling the terrible pressure. What on Earth was happening?! Seeing the metal case he made his way towards Roy, "st-stop punching it!"

 

The blond reached up and puched it with his metal arm again and again feeling his bones trying to crack under the pressure of metal against bone. After a couple hits he smashed them stopping the system. Slipping to his knees he trembled in pain. His left arm ached terribly from the gunshot and everything else hurt now.

He pulled his arm free and went to him and moved on top of him the drill lowered the ceiling with it but it stopped then went back up as the process should have been completed. He moved off carefully.

 

"Wait don't move......Your shoulder is out of place. I need you to sigh and relax." he waited for him to sigh a few times which relaxed the muscles instantly and he popped it back into place quickly. "There.....Thanks....."

 

The gears were still moving and the room suddenly stank of old blood from below.

 

"Ugh......We're over a guiser?"

 

The well had a fountain of blood and there was blinding light all around them. It sounded like a pebble drop. Just a little more blood was what it needed. It was a perfect stone. A canon dropped down and mirrors were around it. A beam cut through the circle that was under the snow outside the tower moved starting to fall. Roy grabbed the stone and pulled Ed up.

 

"It's collapsing we have to get out of here now!" now they were not effected by the alchemist circle anymore.

Ed groaned in pain as his arm was popped back into place. That metal was too heavy for him but he tried his hardest to move it. Growing up he had to build up the muscles to be able to use it properly. Running forward the blond pulled the raven along running as fast as he could. He slide down the ladder which was hard with one working hand. Then bolted outside. He was really glad that Roy hadn't noticed his other arm was injured.

 

Hearing the chaos behind them he ran faster until he fell into the snow outside where they were safe. Panting hard he just took a moment to breathe, "you alright Taisa?"

"I'm fine. What about you?" he asked checking him over.

 

He then looked at the stone.

 

"Promise me that this will never come in my hands or the Fuhrers hands."

Ed sat up and winced holding his left arm, "ow... it's fine it's nothing." The blond looked down at the stone then back at Roy. "No... you can't be serious. I'm not using this." He looked at Roy with those big golden eyes of his.

[ideduce]

"They're dead Ed. Nothing can bring them back. They have no soul, no corpse that's whole, nothing and if that falls into the wrong hands....Just take it and don't let me see it. I can't even remember about it." starts telling him about his suspicions of central.

Ed tucked it into his pocket unsure of what to do with it. What he also didn't notice was the blood seeping through his bandage and jacket on his left arm where he was shot earlier, "you can't be serious... it's corrupt? Well it's government but still! I can't believe it."

[ideduce]

"Remember the circle in the book? Doesn't it look like central a little?"

 

He started to notice the coat darkening.

 

"Full Metal......You're bleeding." He got up.

Ed looked over at his arm and sighed, "it's nothing it'll heal eventually." The blond slowly stood and grabbed his arm. "I just need to rebandage it and it'll be fine. Right as rain. I don't ever know why they say that right as rain, how is rai-..." He got dizzy and stumbled a little leaning against the raven. It was all too much blood he'd seen. He needed to get back and calm down. Standing on shaky legs his right arm held onto Roy's jacket. "I... I might need some help."

"Full Metal!" he caught him.

 

Roy picked him up and took him to the shelter they were staying at. He laid him down and did his best to fix his arm. Even going so far as burning it shut just in case. He had him sit up slowly.

 

"Drink this water, it'll help." he instructed.

Ed hissed in pain but it was nothing compared to other pain he felt, that didn't mean it didn't hurt. He was pale and shaking a little. Maybe it was a bit of shock but the cold wasn't bothering him at the moment. Sipping the water he realized his hand was shaking, "oh now that's pathetic... I'm terrible."
