Aria sighed as he walked down the hall, today he would have to chose a new servant, one that would also have to act as a guard. This wasn't something he liked, he didn't know that the situation with the other kingdom was so bad that he would now need a constant guardian to keep him safe. The prince walked into the thrown room an stepped up beside his father, looking over the numerous possibilities. Half listening to his father as he explained their individual capabilities. His gaze stopped, focusing in on an elf in the crowd, he was surprised an elf would want to help.

No longer listening to his father, he already decided, he wanted him to be his servant. "I want the elf.." he said, attention still completely on the man he had chose. Though his father was not pleased he chose him, he reluctantly agreed.

Duvain could feel a small smirk getting on his face. With graceful movements he walked to the faery and got down on one knee, politely bowing his head. "I shall serve the prince as if he was my own family." His clear, deep voise echoed through the hall as he spoke of those words.

He was sent here on a mission. The first step was just completed... He was picked as the servant. Now all he needed to do was find the right moment to continue the following steps... To kill the king of the faeries.

Aria watched as the elf approached him and knelt down in front of him, purple eyes watching the handsome elf. A slight smile forming on his features as the elf spoke, it was slightly comforting to hear those words. He just hoped that they were true. "You don't have to bow, what's your name?" he questioned, hands folding in front of himself. "My name is Aria." he said, though he was sure that the other already knew his name.

The king dismissed the other potentials that had showed up, many of them muttering angrily about the face the prince had chose an elf over them.

"My name is Duvain." The elf said while standing up. He was trained to hide his true intentions and put on an act, so this wasn't difficult. His blond hair swung on his back as he stood up, the blue eyes piercing through anyone and everyone he looked at. "How can I be of service for you, my lord?" Duvain asked while looking at the other.

Only a very skilled eye could see a hint of hatred in his eyes. The only one who was able to notice that emotion was his very own teacher. He was absolutely sure his act was perfected as much as it was possible in 200 years. He was the perfect spy, the perfect mercenary.

"Duvain? I like that name." Aria said, smiling kindly at the elf before him. For now it seems that he made a good choice for a servant, he didn't seem like a bad person. One thing that was very notable to the prince though, was how handsome the elf was. "Well, for the moment I'd like you to accompany me to the castle forest. I love spending time out there, so we'll be there a lot." he said, heading towards the door. Assuming that the elf would follow him like he was supposed to, "What made you decide to come here to be my servant? I didn't think any elves would show up."

Duvain followed the prince with soft steps, his dark green armor shining in the light of the sun. As he heard the question, the elf tilted his head to look at the other. “It was because I got tired of fighting. I don't want for this war to continue and I honestly believe the two races can live together. I wanted to make the first step for the change, my lord.“ The blonde answered while looking straight ahead of them. Were there any secret passages here? It was a pretty old castle, there should be some...

(Sorry, I didn't see it ^^''

Aria glnaced over his shoulder at his servant as they walked, listening to his reason for being there. The prince really like that answer, it was nice that someone felt the way he did about this war. "I'm glad you think that way.. I wish we could leave in peace, I see no reason to continue fighting this way. Our kingdoms used to be so close." he said, sighing softly as they stepped into the woods. He crouched down and picked a flower.

(It's okay~ XD)

Duvain nodded lightly and stopped as the prince crouched down. His blue eyes trailed every movement of Aria, as if wishing to devour the man. "I do believe peace is the most important thing there could be. I miss the days I could walk through the fields of faeries without fearing for my life..." The blonde said quietly and closed his eyes for a few seconds. These words weren't exactly a lie... It wasn't like it was his dream to be a mercenary. All he wanted before was a normal, peaceful life. He wanted to have a family, kids! Now he couldn't... But he was serving his country. He had to sacrifice some things.

Aria straightened himself out and walked over to Duvain, the look was a bit strange but he chose not to comment on it. "I know how you feel, I miss being able to explore the elven forests.. They're so beautiful.. I wish we could get along once more, sometimes I wonder if a marriage could help. I'd gladly be married off if it meant peace." he said, placing the flower in the elf's hair. The prince really would do whatever he could to see peace form between the two kingdoms again.

Duvain blinked a few times as the flower got into his hair. With a slightly questioning look the elf tilted his head, yet decided not to voice the confusion. "Both our king and queen would probably decline a marriage proposal. And even if they didn't, the roots of our war are too deep. It would be hard for everyone to forget what we have done to each other." The blonde said quietly and looked at the prince. Peace was a pretty naiive thing. War was the reality, while peace was a wonderful fantazy.

Aria smiled a little when he saw the look of confusion, it was nice to see a les serious expression on the man's face. "Things would be best if everyone could just forget.. Orr at least try, the only thing waiting for us with this war is pain and death... I don't want anymore of that." He said softly before turning to walk once again, he knew there was probably no hope for peace but he still wished there was.

Duvain stayed quiet as the prince talked. The elf simply walked after the faery, his blue eyes cautiosly glancing around for any clues that would help him continue his mission. "Excuse me for asking, but how old are you?" Duvain asked quietly and turned his gaze back to the other. Talk like that seemed like one of a child's... If the prince actually was young, how can his people trust him? He would have no experience...

Aria stopped under a tree, within its branches was a beautiful tree house, his wings started to flutter, he flew up to his tree house and pushed down the latter for the elf. Nit wanting to make Duvain climb up the tree itself, "I don't mind you asking, I'm only a few hundred years old. How old are you?" He questioned, finally responding to the man. It was a bit if a strange question but the prince decided that the other was just curious.

Duvain gracefully climbed up after the faery and stood up, brushing a leaf that landed on his shoulder. "I'm nearly five hundred years old." He answered and turned his eyes back to the other. The armor he was wearing made it a little hard to move around freely, but the elf wanted it that way. If he wouldn't be able to move around with his armor, that would mean he grew too weak. This would only get in the way of his mission...

Aria gaze down at the elf, watching as he climbed up the latter. Beautiful wings still flapping, hovering slightly. "You're not much oler than I am." he said, flying into the tree house. Opening up the window so that he could air it out. "Do you like my

he asked, turning to look towards his new servant. Soon landing on his feet again to sit on one of the seats, it was designed like a real small house because he spent a lot of time there when he wasn't busy being a prince.

“It seems very fitting for a prince of faeries. It's both elegant and comfortable, so yes, I like it very much.“ The elf answered softly and looked around once he walked in. He stayed standing, not really wanting to sit without the prince telling him to. It might cause a bit of confusion, and that was something Duvain didn't want at all. This mission had to succeed and he was the only one capable of doing it. At least, that's what he liked to think...

"Good, because we'll be here when I'm not busy." Aria said with a smile, watching the standing elf before realizing what he was waiting for. "Oh, you can sit. When we're alone you don't need permission for things so simple." he stated, he was a bit strange for a prince. He didn't want to always control the man's actions, so when they were alone and didn't need to keep up with appearances he wanted the elf to have a mind of his own.

Duvain let a small smile appear on his face as he sat down in front of him. "That is rather unusual for a prince, if I may say. I was sure that someone like you would like to make things happen only the way one wanted." The elf said while looking at the other. "Actually, how would you prefer me calling you while we're alone? Should I stay with calling you as usual?" The blonde asked and tilted his head slightly. He was a bit curious as of how much freedom would he get.

Aria watched the small smile as it formed, it was nice to see the other smile. Even if it was just a little one, gaze focused on the elf as he sat down in front of him. "I'm not a terribly spoiled prince, I wouldn't make you do everything I wanted, you are still a person." he said, moving his hair out of his purple eyes. "You can call me my name if you'd like, I've never been fond of always being called 'prince' or 'your highness'. If I could I'd have everyone call me Aria." he said with a kind smile.

Duvain nodded again and looked at the other. "Then I shall call you Aria when no one else is around." He said and looked around the tree house. "Did you build this yourself by any chance?" The blonde asked while turning his blue eyes back to the prince. The kind smile that was on Aria's face made Duvain feel something close to guilt when he thought about killing the other. No! Faeries were the enemy... He shouldn't feel sorry for them.

"It's nice to hear someone actually call me by real name for once." Aria said, leaning back against his chair. "Not alone, but I did help the builders." he said purple eyes staring back into the other's blue. "Is something on your mind?" he questioned, tilting his head to the side in concern. There seemed to be something bothering the other male.

Duvain blinked a few times and shook his head. “Just thinking about my family...“ He quickly thought of a lie and looked down at the ground. Out of all things, why did he pick his biggest weakness? If the prince decided to ask, it might reveal too much about the elf. He hated when people knew too much about him...

"Your family? What are they like?" Aria asked, completely oblivious to the fact the elf hoped he wouldn't ask about such things. But the prince wanted to get to know his servant, it was something he did with pretty much all his servants. There wasn't a worker in the castle he didn't know closely. He was a naturally caring and curious person, the fact that Duvain was something brand new in his life made him even more curious.

Duvain closed his eyes for a while before starting to talk. “My mother is a simple waitress in a restaurant, trying to at least keep our family well and safe. My father... He's an admiral in our army. I rarely even see him these days. I also have an older sister, she's a herbalist. If I ever get hurt, I always go to see her... She's a really kind person, who hates war just like we do. And... I used to have a little brother. Nice, loving, kind... He was the perfect brother. And yet, he was bound to die in the war. He was only 100 years old when he was sent out to the army. After his first mission we got back his body.“ The elf finished while keeping his head down. He really hated talking about them... And there was so much more he would be able to say.

The fairy listened to Duvain as he spoke, hands resting in his lap. He was a bit relieved to hear the other talk about himself but, it was a little saddening. Compared to his servant his life was so much easier, he hadn't lost anyone, he didn't have to worry about his way of living. A saddened expression forming when he heard the other male say that he lost his brother. The prince rose to his feet and walked across to the older male, he bent down slightly and hugged the elf gently. "I'm very sorry for the things you've gone through.. Your life is so tough.. I wish I could help."
