Yuu shock his head after Chiaki took the clothes and closed the door, "..What's up with me..just because he's here...." he thought aloud to himself walking back to his stretched out couch.

 

He sat down leaning back on the couch closing his eyes a bit tired. He hears the door opening and closing behind after a few seconds knowing the other male finished dressing and hearing his question. "I really don't know what we should do...I'm a bit tired myself.."

"Should we just go to bed?" Chiaki suggested. "I mean, it's pretty late already."

He looked at his phone, and it was 23:54. He yawned and stretched before putting it away. Another first for Chiaki. Usually, he'd sleep alone at his apartment, which was a little farther from the café than Yuu's was. But on some days when Hatori felt suspicious of him, he'd ask Chiaki to sleep at his apartment in his bed. Up until now, Chiaki had denied all of Hatori's sexual advances because of the time Hatori raped him, a time that he didn't like to talk about.

Yuu looked outside from the couch, smiling. "Nah I won't sleeping, if you want you can lay down on my bed..." He stood up getting his coat from the nearest closet, "I'm thinking about going outside to walk around for a while before the storm hits us bad."

 

He looked back at his friend already bundled up since it was already winter in Japan. Yuu went towards the door getting together his cellphone, wallet, and keys. "I'll be back, " the brunette put on his winter boots after removing his indoor slippers.

"Wait, isn't it weird going out alone when you have a guest?" Chiaki said, a little concerned. "I'll go with you."

Chiaki put his coat and shoes back on.

"Given how bad they make this storm out to be, I don't want you to be caught out there alone when it gets really bad." Chiaki said, zipping up his coat and putting his hands in his pockets.

"I left you here alone before when I was running my own small errands." Yuu reminded the other. "Don't forget you were asleep those times or just too lazy to accompany me."

 

He stood up chuckling. "You're worried about me, Chiaki?" he asked the other waiting for his friend to bundle up. Yuu opened up the front door stepping out waiting for Chiaki to follow behind him.

Chiaki put on his scarf and gloves before exiting Yuu's room. Truthfully, Chiaki did worry about Yuu. He worried similarly for most of his friends as well, save for maybe Hatori. The man was self-sufficient enough to live on his own on an abandoned island.

"Where were you planning to go?" Chiaki asked, looking outside. The snow had definitely picked up from before, but it didn't make walking impossible.

Yuu closed the door from behind locking it with his key quickly as it clicked making sure he heard it. He puts his key inside his pants pocket and begins walking towards the stairs, "Well I just wanted to walk around even if it's snowing." he says to his friend running down the stairs quickly.

 

"Come on Chiaki it must be looking beautiful out there even if its just snowing a bit." he chuckled as he made it to the first floor, already waiting on his best friend.

"Yeah..." Chiaki blushed a little, following Yuu downstairs. He hadn't been allowed to so much as breathe in Yuu's direction since he was with Hatori. Being able to spend time with Yuu like this had since become a luxury that he could indulge in only if he had been "faithful" enough to Hatori for him to let him spend time with others.

"How long has it been since we went to the hot springs together?" Chiaki asked.

Yuu sees Chiaki coming down the stairs, seemingly out of breathe. The other thought of just grabbing his hands and walking around the bustling crowd that appeared more often at night due to the light fallen snow. He shook his head and just did what he wanted to do in his mind, "You're lagging behind Chiaki."

 

The otter was pulled closely to Yuu's warm body, as he smiled. "Last time we went was during the summer..how could you forget that?" he held his friend's hand walking slowly noting the ground was a bit wet due to the light fallen snow.

Chiaki blushed when Yuu held his hand as the walked. How could he have been so dense to forget it?

"Oh yeah, I remembered you asked me if you could draw me." Chiaki said. "And how's your art been?"

Chiaki wondered secretly if Yuu still had those pictures. Maybe he could ask later.

"Art has been good to me lately." He smiled one hand inside his coat pocket, while the other held onto Chiaki's. "I would continue finish my art of my favorite subject."

He looked towards Chiaki noting how beautiful the other looked as the snow fell down. The snow started falling heavily but Yuu wouldn't stop his walk because of it. The man wanted to enjoy the snow until he felt cold all over his body.

"That's good to hear. Since Marukawa's been on holiday, Hatori's been all over me. I'm almost done with my new manga, so I'm pretty excited for it." Chiaki said. "It's about a commoner girl who's fallen in love with the prince of the kingdom she resides in, who she doesn't know is actually a spy for an opposing kingdom. Once this fact is brought to light, she has to choose between staying loyal to her home or joining him."

Chiaki's manga was very much close to being ready for publication, and he was pretty proud of it already. All he needed was for final changes to be made before it went out to the public.

"If I have some of the pages on me, I could show you when and if we can go back to my apartment later." Chiaki offered.

"Thanks Chiaki, and i know it sucks having that bastard all over you I'm guessing..." Yuu says slightly annoyed by the mentioning of Hatori everytime. "You know what let"s not talk about that bastard for a while...." the male says as be stops walking leaning against a brick wall.

 

"What also stopped me was what you said..you want to go home.." Yuu hoped it wasn't true what the other said to him, looking up at the sky as it got darker out.

"I wouldn't go back in this weather. Especially if it's forecasted to be worse. My apartment is much farther away from here than yours is, and it would cause me a ton of trouble if I went home now. I'd much rather stay with you and be drier and warmer than go home and be cold and wet." Chiaki said. "I mean, I have basically all that I need with me in my briefcase. Except for food and clothes, maybe. Your clothes are actually pretty close to what I wear, so I like the way they look on me."

Chiaki changed the subject quickly, knowing how much Yuu hated even the mention of Hatori.

"You're right seems like its going to be coming down hard within the hour..." Yuu moved away from the wall stretching his arms. He smiled yawning a bit shuffling both hands in his coat pocket. "We should head back...but there's something I wanted to get."

He remembered walking ahead of Chiaki, waving him over.

Chiaki followed him, keeping up with Yuu.

"What did you need to get?" he asked, suddenly curious at what Yuu could possibly want here and at this moment. "Brrr... It's so cold!"

Chiaki started tugging on Yuu's arm to urge him to go faster since the snow was getting harder.

Yuu held onto his friend's hand squeezing it gently. "I'm going to buy more food, I need to stock up my fridge." he answers walking faster. "I know it's cold I feel the cool breezy wind..I hope the supermarket is still opened..."

Yuu makes it to the supermarket making a dash towards the open door, grabbing a cart on the way.

Chiaki followed Yuu into the supermarket, relishing in the warmth of the building's heating system.

"What're you going to get?" Chiaki asked, being pulled by Yuu. He briefly looked outside and saw that the snow was worsening and worsening fast. He prayed that Yuu was a fast shopper.

"I just need a few food to stack up for the next few days" Yuu answers getting what he needed from a list he had written out.

The brunette got fruits, vegetables, some meat, a few drinkss including alcohol. The alcohol was for a small get together at the publishing company he works at whom were throwing a party during the weekend, and lastly snacks.

 

In 1o minutes he gotten everything he needed going to the register ready to pay. He looks out thr window seeing bad bad gh Dow was coming down, hissing.

"You're paying already? Damn, you're fast. Let's pay and get back to your place. This snow looks like it's not going to get better." Chiaki said, glancing at his phone. The time was 1:20. What the hell was a supermarket doing open this early?! Choosing not to think on it too much, Chiaki looked out of the window. The snow was really bad, and it possibly could've gotten worse. There was already 3 inches of snow, and it was piling up fast.

Yuu got what he needed and giving one of the few bags to Chiaki. "you're gonna help me with these, Chiaki" he runs out of thr supermarket and into the cold snowy weather.

"hurry up some can make it home within 1o minutes." the other said waiting for the light to change and on Chiaki.

Chiaki grabbed the bags from Yuu and rushed off with him, stopping where Yuu was and trying to catch his breath.

"Dammit, Yuu... You run so fast..." He was happy that the apartment wasn't too far away. Otherwise, he would've put Yuu through hell...

10 minutes later~

 

yuu has arrived home putting the bags down from one of his hands shuffling for his keys to open up the front door. Finding the keys he unlocks the door opening it swiftly getting the bags from the stoop stepping aside. "Get in Chiaki it's so cold and we need to hurry upstairs." he says to the other waiting on him.

Chiaki rushed into Yuu's room, carefully putting the bags he held down.

"That was quite the rush..." Chiaki panted. "Good thing we got in before the snowstorm got too bad."

He looked outside. Visibility was reduced to near zero. He started removing some of his layers.

Yuu put down the bags he carried sighing, "this should hold down for a while." he looked up at Chiaki forgetting be still had his outside layers on. "help me put these away Chiaki..." the brunette took his tongue out liking how his best friend was removing his layers.
