A New Life

Matt could feel his lower lip trembling, and, before he bursted into tears again, he buried his face into Adam's chest. The blonde felt both stupid and releaved. He really had this idea that the other may think of him in that way... As a few tears rolled down from the golden eyes, Matt nuzzled his head into his lover's chest and let out a small sigh. Once he was sure he'd calmed down, Matt pulled away and rubbed his eyes as he looked at the other. "Let's just go and find that guy..." He said quietly, silently praying Adam would just agree.

Adam nodded, wiping the tears away from Matt's cheeks and kissed him on the lips. Just a small peck to let him know that he cared for him. Adam didn't really want Matt to join him, Matt wasn't feeling well enough. The model was physically exhausted as he body went through the changes. But he didn't want to upset him anymore so Adam let him join him. They entered the bar and were greeted by a few waitresses and the bar tender. Adam greeted them back but he didn't smile. He looked around the bar and his eyes immediately fell on the guy he'd met in the bathroom. He was sitting by a table near the walls. He also recognized the other guy, the one he was arguing with in the bathroom. "He's here." Adam said leaning near Matt's ear and nodded to the direction of the man.

Matt managed a soft smile when the other kissed him. He was truly glad that Adam decided to let him join after all... Knowing the taller man, it was a big possibility that he'd just leave Matt at home and go off alone... The soft smile didn't disappear once the blonde was able to be sure that they both can go and see that guy. When the two of them reached the bar, Matthew gripped onto his lover's hand. The smell immediately got to him... He felt like puking from it, but when Adam told him the guy was here, the shorter male clenched his teeth and nodded. “Let's go talk to him...“ He said quietly.

Adam nodded and walked towards the guy's table, never letting go of Matt's hand. The man looked up from his beer to them and a smile graced his dark bearded face. "So it worked." Adam frowned and turned to look at the man's companion. It was the same guy from last night. Short, shorter than Matt with curly brown hair and bright blue eyes. He was gorgeous, a clear contrast from the other man who was tall (same height as Adam) with short black hair, dark brown eyes and a two weeks stubble adorning his face. "Why don't you sit down. I assume you came here to find answers am I right?"

 

Adam hated the guy. He didn't know him but his attitude was making his blood boil. Nevertheless, if they wanted to understand what was going on, he'd have to deal with the guy. He pulled a chair for Matt to sit and sat next to him. "My name is Eric and this is my partner Pete." He said turning to the shorter guy who nodded and glanced down at the table. He was clearly uncomfortable and Adam could tell the guy probably didn't say much in the relationship. "I'm Adam, and this is Matt." Should he have called him his partner? His lover? What where they actually? Adam didn't know. "The condom you gave me last night...it wasn't a normal one, was it?" He asked receiving a grin from Eric.

 

"No. It's a modified condom that enables men to get pregnant." He said and paused to take a sip from his beer. Noticing the confused expressions he went on. "You see, I don't look it, but I'm a scientist...or was anyways. We came up with the idea, because a great portion of the population is male. Day by day less females are being born. So we decided to try this out. The condom contains a parasite right at the tip, that when released, a long with sperm, it changes the man's body."

 

(I'll leave it there, in case you want to add something. Otherwise I'll keep on writing on and on xD I kind of like Pete so I might make him a side character (I'l play him of course)...maybe he can become friends with Matt. If you are ok with it.)

Matt frowned when he heard the man's words. "So it worked?" What the hell? He thought to himself while they both went to sit down next to the two. His golden eyes immediately fell on the guy with curly brown hair. He seemed so innocent and calm... He probably didn't even want to be here.

 

When the taller guy introduced both of them, Matt blinked a few times. Partner? He looked over at his lover when he didn't hear even a "lover" in the introduction. That actually made him frown a bit and he made a mental note to ask Adam about this later. While Eric was explaining about the condom, the blonde didn't let his eyes off Pete.

 

"If you wanted to get men pregnant so much, why didn't you do it with your partner? And besides, you ruined my carreer like this." Matt said quietly as he gripped onto Adam's hand. "I'm a model... And now I'll have to quit." He nearly hissed out, his anger directed towards Eric.

Matt's question threw Eric a bit out of place, he hadn't expected the blonde cutie to be so outspoken. If the situation was making Pete uncomfortable earlier, now it was making it harder for him to breath. For no reason he stood up and excused himself, avoiding everyone's eyes. Eric frowned as he watched the tiny man disappear behind the bathroom doors. He turned his eyes towards Matt and Adam could clearly see the man was barely holding his anger in. "We tried." He said through clenched teeth. "It wont work." He paused and turned to Adam then back at Matt.

 

"I've seen you two around here a lot, and I could see the attraction between you two. I honestly thought you were a couple and that was out last condom." He said with a shrug of the shoulders. "I didn't know you were a model nor that the condom would work on you." He sighed and rand a hand through his short black hair. "The parasite, it doesn't work on everybody. We tried to figure out why but then they shut down our research."

 

Adam's tightened his grip on Matt's hand and patted it with the other, trying to soothe his anger. "Still, it doesn't justify what you caused by giving me that condom. You've ruined his career." Said Adam.

 

Eric glared at both of them. "I'm sorry I ruined your career." He said obviously not feeling sorry at all. "But you are not oblige to keep it." He said bitterly, for a tiny moment Adam felt sorry for the guy.

Matt bit his lip as Pete walked off from the table. What he wanted to do most right now was to find the brunette and at least apologize. A small sigh escaped the blonde's lips as he continued to listen to Eric. His anger was honestly making Matthew more sick... When he heard that the two couldn't, his golden eyes saddened a bit and he looked at Eric while feeling kind of... Guilty.

 

When Eric “apologized“ and said that they didn't have to keep the baby, Matt nearly hissed at the man. “I won't kill my child. Never.“ He said coldly before standing up, making Adam let go off his hand. “I'm going to find Pete... I need to say sorry.“ The blonde said quietly before walking away in hopes of finding the short male somewhere.

 

Once the model spotted Pete, he walked up to him and bit his lip before saying, “Hey... I'm sorry I said that...“ Matt felt like slapping himself for such idiotic words. Couldn't he have thought of anything better to say!?!

Adam sat quietly as he let Matt go in search for Pete. It was strange how, now, the idea of them killing his child caused a pain in his chest. Yes, he had suggested an abortion too, but it was all for Matt's well being. Now? A part of him was excited yet scared of becoming a parent.

 

Eric finished his drink and glanced at Adam but it was Adam who broke the awkward silence. "Are there others?" He asked hoping there was but the dark haired male shook his head. "Two couples managed to conceive but they didn't keep it." He said barely a whisper, his dark eyes focused on his empty glass. "Another one was unable to conceive but they only tried it once." Adam nodded at that. "How many times have you to tried?" He asked not expecting an answer from the rude man in front of him. "Too many." Eric surprisingly answered after a pause and requested a new glass of beer from the waitress.

Pete was drying his face when Matt walked in, he turned to face the taller man and shook his head. "It's okay." He said with a smile that didn't reach his reddened eyes from crying. "I'm really sorry about your career. I don't know what was Eric thinking." He said, and unlike his partner, he really meant it. "But please, don't hate him. He's not a bad guy. We've been longing to form a family for years. Yes, we can be together and marry but we can't adopt. This was our only solution and I failed him." He said his eyes on the verge of tears again but he fought them back bravely. "So are you...are you going to keep it?" He asked with a smile deciding to change the topic a bit.

 

(You don't mind if we pretend gay couples aren't aloud to adopt? Otherwise we can change my post)

Matt bit his lower lip when he saw the other's expression. That smile that didn't reach his eyes... It seemed like it was blaming the blonde for something. He let out a small sigh and shook his head at Pete's words. “It's okay, I needed a break anyway... Now the only problem is wether they'll take me back~“ Matt said with a soft chuckle.

 

As he listened for the other talk about how they wanted a family, the golden-eyed male bit his lip. “I'm sorry to hear that... It must be terrible, wanting something so bad and being unable to get it...“ He muttered out as he walked closer to the brunette. “Besides, you didn't fail him... It's not your fault.“ The blonde felt like comforting the other, even if he didn't know what for.

 

A smile appeared on the blonde's face when the other asked if they were keeping it. “Of course we are! I could never do something bad to it...“ He said softly as he put both of his hands on his abdomen. “But honestly, this all seems so unreal to me... I can't imagine being a father, I can't imagine raising a child... I'm a little bit scared of how will things come out!“

The news made Pete extremely happy. He knew about the other couples who opted for an abortion and it had made him very angry. But now, knowing that Matt was willing to keep the child made him feel glad and giddy all of a sudden. Pete smiled at Matt and placed both hands on the man's shoulders calming him down.

 

"I know you are feeling scared and stressed, but believe me. Once that tiny part of you is in your arms you'll find out that everything was worth it." He said and released Matt's shoulders. "Besides, you wont go through this alone. You have the baby's father with you...and me!" He said and for the first time in that night he sounded alive. "I'm more than willing to help you go through this and Eric too, no matter what he may say. It's our fault you are in this situation. We are going to help you in any way possible. Including financially of course."

"You said your research was shut down?" Adam asked taking a sip from the soda he ordered. He requested one for Matt too, since he was pregnant he knew Matt probably shouldn't be drinking alcohol; and Adam was willing to go through that torture with him. Eric grinned but it looked very sarcastic on his face. Seriously, what did Pete see in this guy?

 

"Yup. We weren't authorized for this project. So when the higher ups found out, they shut the research down and sent us packing home." He paused to take a sip from his beer. "And now I'm a boring science professor." Adam nodded and glanced at the bathroom door wondering if Matt was doing okay.

 

(you okay how the RP is going? I kind of feel as if I'm taking control of the plot...)

Matt smiled warmly when the other put his hands on his shoulders. The blonde felt incredibly calm for some reason... As if Pete had the ability to make him feel better in an instant. When he saw the smile on the brunette's face, Matt couldn't help but feel extremely happy... Thank god this was a smile that actually seemed real and not faked.

 

Pete's next words nearly made the blonde tear up. He nodded lightly at what the other was saying before letting out a wide smile. “You have no idea how much I appreciate this... But you shouldn't worry about giving us money~“ The blonde let out a soft chuckle and smiled. “I earned enough money while working as a model, besides, Adam is working as well... We'll pull through.“ He told the other and tilted his head.

 

“And... I know this is none of my business, but are you sure you can't get pregnant because the parasite isn't working on you? Maybe you're trying too hard to get pregnant?.. I mean, doesn't it happen with women? They're trying too hard so they fail...“ There the blonde stopped for a few seconds and looked at the man in front of him. “All I'm saying is that maybe you should forget about wanting to get pregnant during sex... Why don't you try and focuse on your partner himself?“ Matt could only hope his words didn't upset Pete...

Pete smiled sadly at the model. "Well, there's no way to find out now that the research has been cancelled." He paused and then added. "I'm so looking forward to see you grow this child. I'm sure he or she, will be a loved child." He then nodded to the door. "Let's go, they probably think something happened to us or something." He said with a chuckle and headed to the door.

 

Adam glanced at the door and sighed relieved that Matt was returning from the bathroom. Sitting there alone with Eric was irritating and awkward as hell. "Hey, I ordered you a soda." He said standing up and pulling the seat back for Matt to sit.

 

(hahaha well I honestly like to play more than one character, it gives me things to write and diversity to the plot. ^^)

Matt smiled softly and nodded. “We'll both make sure it gets enough love... I wouldn't want it any other way~“ The blonde chuckled as he kept his hands on his abdomen. He nodded at Pete's last words and quietly followed the other. The golden-eyed male decided to just forget about the brunette being unable to get pregnant for now.

 

Matt smiled at Adam before sitting down next to him. He shook his head when the tall man offered him a soda. “I don't feel like drinking anything for now...“ He said softly and glanced at Eric and Pete. The blonde couldn't help but feel sorry for them. Trying so hard and being unable to... And then he came along, succeeding on the first try. It was a bit unfair...

Eric folded his arms over his chest as the two male joined them. He glanced at Pete and he could tell right away that the younger man had been crying. He'd seen that look in his eyes many times by now to know. "So what where you two doing in their that took you so long in there?" He asked and embarrassed look graced Pete's eyes and he shook his brown curly head. "Nothing, there was a long line. That's all." He said with a reassuring smile, Eric knew it was a lie but he decided to drop it. "So you are a model, hm? You know what you'll say to your boss about your pregnancy?" Eric turned to Matt obviously curious.

Matt let out a small sigh and shook his head. “I have no idea... I think I will try and continue work until, well... Until my figure doesn't fit for that. I hope my manager will understand what happened, but... Could you perhaps help me explain it to her?“ The blond asked while looking at Eric and Pete. “I don't think she'll understand it fully if I try to explain... Well, I still don't get it myself, so how could I explain to someone else?“ The golden eyes showed fear and sadness for a few moments before he shook his head and smiled. “Anyway, I justt hope everything will be alright...“

Eric frowned and glared at Matt. "The hell? What makes you think I'll do that for you?" Adam's blood started to boil at the guys reaction. After Matt asked him so nicely, moreover this was the guys's fault! But before he could jump and punch the guy Pete spoke again. "Of course he will." He said receiving a surprised look from his lover. "Just tell us were to meet and we'll go confront them tomorrow." He said with small smile and turned to Adam. "We will be there."

Matt was rather shocked at Eric's reaction. He bit his lip and looked down, unsure of what to say next when Pete got in. His words made the blond have hopes again and he lifted his head back up with a smile. "Thank you so much..." He said softly and smiled warmly. "You have no idea how much this means to me! I wouldn't know what to do if I was alone..." The golden-eyed male confessed and chuckled lightly. "Could you be at my studio tomorrow, 4 pm? I should be finished with work by then, so we will have the biggest chance to get a word with her... That is, if I don't feel like a dying old man in the morning and am unable to go to work." Matt said with a slight frown on his face. "Do you know what else is going to happen? And when?"

Pete nodded eager. "We'll make sure to be there. Wont we honey?" Pete turned to his lover with such a sweet smile that smelted any kind of protest the man was about to give. Suddenly Adam wondered that maybe, Pete was the one the upper hand in the relationship after all. "Fine." He said grudgingly and then after a pause. "And no I don't really know, you are the first one who is willing to keep the child." He answered. "But I'll keep an eye on the process, for any developments." His tone was a bit angry, but he was really looking forward to see how things would work out. It was his research anyways. "Well, you should be tired. We'll call it a night." Pete say standing up smiling at both them and grabbed Eric's hand as they said their goodbyes (well only Pete did). "See you tomorrow then."

 

Adam watched them leave and turned to Matt. "You ready to go home?"

Matt nodded at Eric's words and smiled kindly at him. "Alright..." After that, the blonde said his good-byes and turned to his lover with a tired smile. "Yeah, let's go... I just want to get back in bed right now." He said with a soft chuckle and stood up, instantly holding onto his head. "Ouuch... I'm dizzyy..." The shorter man whined softly and looked at the brunette with a frown. "I hate this smell... Let's get out of here!" He said with slight annoyance and grabbed Adam's hand to make him stand up.

Adam nodded and helped Matt up and held his hand all the way out and to his car. It felt nice, holding Matt's hand. He wondered if it would be okay for him to ask him about their situation. What were they? He did ask him if the wanted to be more than just friends, and Matt had declined but that was before him getting pregnant. Wouldn't that change by now?

The next day Adam drove Matt to the studio and after some little talk and a promise to meet a four, they went on their separate ways. Adam was busy the rest of the day working on a new project for the new collection. Before he knew it it was four pm. He said goodbye to his co-workers and went to reception room where they promised to meet. He found Eric and Pete already there waiting for them. "Hey." He greeted them and Pete smiled back, Eric just nodded. "Are we too early? Where's Matt?" The short man asked. "He'll be here soon." Adam said wondering not for the first time, what a nice guy like Pete saw in Eric.

Matt came over to the group waiting for them after about ten minutes, his skin pale and dark circles visible under his eyes. After him followed a young woman. with black hair and turquoise eyes that pierced through everyone waiting. Meanwhile, the blonde walked up to Adam and gripped onto him, clearly sick and tired from anything and everything by now.

 

“So, who can tell me what is happening with one of my best models?“ The woman asked pretty coldly while worriedly glancing at Matt. She wasn't stupid, and she definitely wouldn't take an answer like “flu“ or a “cold“. This was something serious, and Matt was definitely unable to deal with it.

Adam frowned but wrapped an arm around Matt's weak form. He knew nothing about pregnancy, was he to be and feel like this for the whole nine months? He had some serious reading to do. Eric took a step forward. "I can, but you wouldn't want to find out here." Eric said matching the woman's cold tone. Pete looked at him reprimandly, they had talked about this and Eric has promised he'd behave and act nice. And Pete truly believed he wasn't going to make everyone believe he was an ass. Nevertheless, they walked to a more private area. The room looked like rest lounge with seats, a table in the center and even a coffee maker.

 

They all too their seat, Adam keeping Matt close to him in a protective way. If only he could make Matt feel better.

 

"Your model is feeling crap because, he's pregnant." Eric said straight to the point.

The woman glared at Eric when he said that 'she wouldn't want to find out here'. She wasn't in the mood for joking around - not with her best model in such a condition. Still, the black-haired woman followed everyone else with pursed lips and a notebook in her hands. She still had work to do, so her only hope was that this didn't take too long...

 

Once all of them reached the room, she sat down in one of the chairs, her turquoise eyes momentaraly glancing at Matt and Adam. Since when were they this close anyway?.. She let out a sigh and looked towards Eric, waiting for her explanation.

 

What she heard was nonsense. "Now listen here. I am in no mood for joking around. Tell me what is actually wrong with him." She said quietly, even though her voice managed to sound dangerous. She narrowed her eyes slightly, and if she didn't have much self-control, she probably would've jumped at Eric's throat right now.

Eric sighed as if tired of explaining himself over and over again. "Nothing is wrong with him, he's just pregnant. Believe it or not with the right technique and perfect host, pregnancy is very simple and possible for the male population. I know it since I created this possibility." He said staring at the woman in the eyes. "This however..." He said softening his tone and approach only for Pete's sake. "Was not done with his acknowledgement, it was a mistake...a miscalculation from my part, which I take full responsibility of." Pete smiled proud of Eric, he knew how those words may have hurt his pride.

 

"Whether you want to keep this a secret or not, that's up to you. We still don't know the details, but his body will change...his mood will change. That is a fact."

The woman just sat there, completely dumbfounded. Right techniques and the right host? So Matt was really?... “Is that true...?“ The small whisper that escaped her lips was meant for the blonde. He just gripped tightly onto Adam and let out a barely audible sigh. “It's true... I-It's confusing for us all, but it's happening.“ He said quietly before closing his eyes.

 

The blonde wrapped one hand around his abdomen, while the other hand was tightly holding Adam's hand. “Matt, you know that you won't be able to work here anymore...“ The woman said softly while looking softly at the mentioned man. “Let me stay until I still have a body like this. Once the belly shows...“ He trailed off the thought and smiled slightly when she nodded in understandment.
