A small yelp escaped Allen as the sandwich he had just been about to pick up was snatched away. His shot up to stare at Kanda in shock and surprise. What...? Why...? Allen was so confused and it showed on his face. A tiny pout appeared and he grabbed a sandwich out of another box, munching on it. He watched as Kanda opened his folder then remembered his own. He began reading as well, still eating.

As he read, he frowns. Damn that Kamui! He forgot yet again to arrange for a place for them to stay! He sighs in frustration, finishing off the sandwich before slamming the folder closed. "He did it again! That idiot!!!" He stands up, and throws the folder down, and looks at Allen. "You should use Timcampy to call Chief Kamui. That fool forgot to get us a place to stay....again." He sighs, crossing his arms over his chest, and once again an irritated look was on his face. So much for his fleeting good mood...

Allen jumped at the suddenness of Kanda's outburst and he watched as the samurai jumped up and threw down the folder in frustration. He frowned at what Kanda said and quickly read through the folder. Kanda was right; Komui had forgotten to arrange a place for them to stay. Allen sighed and told Timcampy to call the Chief.

The sound of Kamui's voice could be heard coming from Timcampy, but it was slightly static. What was he doing? The sounds of chaos could be heard in the background, crashes and yells. "Hello? Is there something you need? HEY DON'T PUT THAT THERE, PUT IT OVER THERE!!!" Kanda raises an eyebrow, what the heck was going on over there? "Sorry, sorry. Anyways, was there something you needed? Is something wrong?" "Yes there is something wrong you idiot! You forgot to arrange for a place for us to stay!!" A pause. "Say what?" Kanda's eye twitches, the heat was rising. KAMUI!!!!! YOU IDIOT!!!" He leaves the room, once again in a terrible mood. "What...what did I do?" Kamui asks, totally confused.

Allen raised an eyebrow in surprise as the sounds of chaos filled the small space. They weren't gone for a day and it seemed things have already gone downhill. He watched as Kanda yelled at Komui before storming out of the compartment. He sighed and rubbed his temples. "It's alright, he's just in a bad mood. Anyway, we need a place to stay the night; you forgot to arrange for one."

Kanda once again storms his way to the back of the train, and was once again standing out on the small platform, his hands clenching at the railing. He grits his teeth, taking deep breaths to try and calm his nerves. 'Idiots! All of them!!!' He thinks to himself, growling slightly, and notices that the air had gotten colder, he could see his breath forming small clouds of mist. Even so, the cold could not damper his anger and annoyance.

 

Back in the compartment, Komui was still talking to Allen. "I'm so sorry! I thought I had! Um, I'll call up a place if you'd like. I know how hard it is to just find a place to stay in the evening." CRASH! "WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOOL? THOSE ARE FRAGILE!!! Gah, I'll have to call you later, this is getting on my nerves! Good-bye!" *click*

Allen sighed and stood, Timcampy landing on his head. He exited their compartment, deciding to go find Kanda. He wandered around before he finally spotted him at the back of the train. Allen cautiously steps outside, wary of Kanda's mood. "Komui said he would call a place for us." The white-haired boy stated as he stepped up beside the samurai.

"Idiot should have done that in the first place..." He growls, his hair whipping around his face, the cold stinging at his skin, but he was so irritated he didn't even notice it. The light was starting to fade, the day really had gone by quite quickly. He knew that in about an hour to an hour and a half's time they would be arriving in Saint Petersburg, and start their mission, hopefully quickly. And this time with no mess ups.

 

He knew that the number of Akuma gathering so massively was bad, and that there was probably innocence there, that was why the Earl was sending so many Akuma. He sighs, and glances at Allen, who was standing next to him. He hoped he wouldn't have to save his butt, but there was no doubt he would have to.

 

(I've decided we'll go alongside the original story line, but also add in a few things. They've yet to meet the Noah members, and also Allen still has the original "hand" he first arrived at headquarters with, same with the eye.)

(So it's before the Ghost of Mater mission, before Allen unlocked Crown Clow?)

 

Allen shivered as the cold wind whipped around them, hiding Timcampy in his jacket so his golem wouldn't blow away then wrapping his arms around himself to try and preserve warmth. He knew there was a least another hour to go before they reached their destination. He wasn't looking forward to spending it with Kanda being in the bad mood he was in.

Kanda looks at Allen, and could see he was cold. "If your cold, go back inside. Don't be an idiot." He rolls his eyes, before staring out at the landscape, which had changed slightly, but not too much so. He could still see Allen standing there out of the corner of his eye, the white haired boy shivering from the cold. He had hidden Timcampy within his jacket, to keep it from getting blown away. Yu sighs, wondering what went on in that brain of his.

 

Just as much as Allen was mostly likely not looking forward to the mission, it was the same with Yu. But from what he had read on the report, this mission was going to take in the least five days, and with Allen's bad habit of wanting to save everyone, it was probably going to take longer, like a week. He sighs again, irritated by the very thought of spending that long with Allen.

Allen looked up at Kanda. He opened his mouth to protest when an even colder gust of wind blew around them and quickly changed his mind. "D-Don't stay o-out here for t-too long. I d-don't need you getting s-sick." Allen said, his speech slightly ruined by his chattering teeth. He gave Kanda one last look before he fled to the warmth inside.

 

He made his way back down the hallway and slid back into their compartment, rubbing his arms to try and get warm again. He curled up in the seat and drew his knees to his chest, wrapping his arms around them. Timcampy left the young males jacket and fluttered around before setting on top of their luggage.

"Don't worry about me, now get inside!" He says, and watches as Allen finally goes inside, the boy shivering a lot. He smirks again, and braces himself for a cold rush of wind, that pulled so hard at his ponytail the ribbon he had holding it comes off, and was whipped away. He sighs. His long blue-black hair, now free of it's hold, tossed and whipped around, becoming slightly tangled. Shaking his head, he goes back inside, the wind no longer pulling at his hair, so it fell down on his shoulders and across his back. It reached just below his shoulder blades, and despite being tangled, it still shone like silk.

 

He goes back to the compartment, opening and then shutting the door behind him as he entered it. He sits down, and sighs. 'Not much further or longer...' He thinks to himself, looking up at Timcampy, who was sitting on top of the luggage, it's little tail like thing swishing much like a cat tail.

Allen looked up as Kanda entered and took a seat. His shivering had gone down some but he was still curled up against the window. He noticed Kanda's hair and blinked. "Kanda, your hair is really tangled now." The white-haired male stated somewhat obviously.

Kanda rolls his eyes. "No, I didn't think that was obvious at all! You're so stupid you know that Short Stack?" He smirks slightly, before reaching to the small bag that he had brought with despite not actually bringing much. He opens it, and pulls out another ribbon, the same color as the one from before. He pulls his hair back, and ties it up again, so it was out of the way, running his fingers through his hair to get the tangles out. He could feel Allen watching him, and his eye begins to twitch, but he says nothing. instead focuses on fixing his hair. Once he was done, he puts the bag back, and settles back into the seat, the sky now really dark.

 

Timcampy suddenly flies in the air, when a meow could be heard. Apparently when Kanda had come into the apartment, so had a cat. It jumps up onto the seat, and bats at Tim, who flies up to the ceiling. The cat climbs onto the racks above them, and launches itself at Tim, jaws wide, but before it could reach Tim, Kanda had grabbed the cats collar, halting its movement mid-flight, and hopefully Allen took a hold of Tim. Opening the door to the compartment, Kanda tosses the cat out, and before the cat could come back in, he quickly closes the door, a thump sounding on the other side.

Allen scowled and opened his mouth to retort back Timcampy suddenly starts flying around in a panic, a cat chasing it. The white-haired male quickly grabs his golem and hides him in his jacket pocket where he would be safe, grateful that Kanda had grabbed the cat before it could eat Tim. Allen peeked inside his pocket, speaking soothing words to the golem.

A whistle could be heard coming from the train, and Kanda looks out the window, and could see that the city was coming into sight. "About time..." He mutters, standing up from the seat, and picking up his bag, swinging it onto his shoulder. "Come on, let's go Short Stack." He opens the door to the compartment, bracing his feet when the train starts to come to a stop, and once it had, he climbs off the train, looking around. What he didn't expect came next.

 

"ALLLLEEENNNN-KUUUUUUNNN!!!!!! YUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!" A blur comes flying at them, flaming red hair in sight, and a huge grin. Allen was pommeled by a tackling hug, as none-other than Lavi appears. "What are you doing here you stupid Rabbit?" Yu asks, as Lavi practically squeezes Allen to death. "I thought you weren't going to be with us on this mission?" "Huh? Why not? OH! It's cause Kamui decided last moment to let me come!!! He said he didn't want you to kill Allen on "accident". But I missed the train and had to use Iron Hammer to get here!" Lavi glares at Kanda in a funny way, still holding onto Allen tightly, and moving him out of Kanda's sight, as if he was "shielding" the white haired boy from his wraith. Kanda grimaces, the corner of his mouth twitching. "Whatever. Did Kamui finally find a place for us to stay?" "YEP!"

Allen grabbed his things and followed after Kanda. He then let out a yelp as he was practically tackled. He stumbled under the red-head's weight, his luggage falling to the ground. His breath was then crushed out of his lungs as Lavi began squeezing him. Allen tried to wiggle free but it only seemed to make Lavi squeeze him all the tighter. "...Can't ...b-breath..!" The white-haired boy managed to choke out as bright spots began popping over his vision.

Lavi, who had pretty much picked Allen up off his feet, suddenly lets go, having Allen gasping at him. "Soooorrryy Allen!!! I was just so happy to see you again!!" The red-head glances at Kanda, and notices the annoyed look. "Aw, Yu, do you want a hug too? COME HERE!" He jumps at Kanda, but before he could get close, Yu had Mugen out, the blade glinting in the moon light and light from the street lamps. Lavi halts, and blinks nervously, glancing down at the tip of the blade that was inches away from his neck. "Come near me, and you die." Kanda growls, his eyes narrowed dangerously.

 

Lavi puts his hands up in surrender, and backs away, a nervous grin on his face, and a comical sweat drop at the side of his face. "Geeze, no need to get violent Yu!" Lavi states, before picking up the luggage that Allen had dropped.

When Allen was released he stumbled forward slightly, taking deep breaths and rubbing the place where Lavi's arms had been wrapped around him. When he didn't feel so light-headed he glanced over to see Lavi trying to hug Kanda only to be held at bay by Mugen. Lavi then backed down and picked up Allen's luggage. Allen walked over. "So where are we staying the night?" He questioned the red-head.

Lavi immediately perks back up, and salutes playfully to Allen. "Follow me!!!" He begins to walk away, Allen's things in tow. Kanda follows as well, but keeps Mugen out of it's scabbard, just in case Lavi tried something again, as well if any Akuma showed up. As they walked along, Lavi chattering non-stop to Allen, asking how the trip was, if Yu tried to kill him, if anything interesting happened, how he almost got stuck in a pond, on and on, Kanda glances a flash of movement from the corner of his eye. He frowns, wondering what that was. An Akuma? No...it didn't move like one. And where were the finders who were supposed to be there waiting? Something was up...

 

"Lavi, shut up for a moment. I need to ask you something." Kanda says, and Lavi hushes. "What's up Yu?" Lavi asks, wondering what Kanda needed, as it was rare for the samurai to ever ask him of all people questions. "Aren't there supposed to be finders here waiting? Where are they?" Lavi frowned. "Now that you mention it...I haven't seen one finder either..." *flash* Kanda twirls around, Mugen gripped tightly in his hand.

 

(Oh, and the thing he's seeing is Mimi, Lulu Bell's maid. I've decided to bring her in early, but they aren't to make contact. She's only following them to gather intel)

Allen smiled, Lavi's chatter soothing. He glanced back at Kanda when the man asked the red-head where the other finders were. Allen looked around warily now, wondering what was going on. He saw Kanda whirl around with Mugen at the ready. Allen activated his eye, scanning the area for any hidden Akuma.

A giggle could be heard, a taunting, high pitched giggle. Yu's eyes widen, and a scary look forms on his face as he bares his teeth, the tip of Mugen making tiny circular motions in the air, as his body began to tremble. He knew that laugh!!! It was the one from his dream!!! Another giggle joins the first, and it was feminine sounding as well. Another voice he knew from his dream. He growls, a vein forming as he looked around. The giggles echo around them. "SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARDS!! QUIT HIDING AND SHOW YOURSELF!!!" He yells this, and the giggling stops. "No...I don't think we will..." "That would be no fun at all!!! We just wanted to see what you losers looked like!!!" The voices giggle again, and then they vanish.

 

Lavi, who's eyes were on Kanda, notices that the samurai looked more irritated then usual. "Yu, calm down!" He says, worry forming in his visible eye. Kanda whirls around, and glares at Lavi. "NO! I can't calm down!" His hand was clenching Mugen so tightly that his knuckles were white. He was scared that his nightmare would come true...His eyes flit towards Allen, and he frowns. "Well...let's at least get to the hotel..." Lavi begins to walk again, his hand upon his tiny hammer that was in his belt. Kanda follows as well, making sure that Allen was between the two of them.

 

(Oh, the other girl was Road. Her speech was written in purple, and Mimi's was in the light blue)

Allen jumped, having not expected Kanda to start yelling. Lavi tried to calm the samurai down and Allen frowned. Why would those people giggling effect Kanda so? Has he meant them before? Allen saw Kanda look at him and frown. Allen blinked, confused. Lavi then suggested they head back to the hotel. Allen nodded and followed after Lavi, noting that Kanda was walking behind him, making sure Allen stayed between him and Kanda. Allen frowned lightly. Is Kanda...protecting me..? But that's ridiculous! Kanda hates my guts! And he even said earlier today he wouldn't protect me if I got into trouble so why...?

 

He sighed and continued walking, Timcampy fluttering around him. Suddenly, the golem froze before taking off, the same cat from before chasing after him. Allen gasped and raced after his golem, running down the street after the little golden ball.

His eyes flit everywhere, trying to at least get another glance of those people, the people who have been haunting his dreams. But to no avail, they were definitely gone...for now anyways. The frown deepens, and they were almost to the hotel when Timcampy takes off, the cat from before was back. Allen raced after it, and turns a corner, causing Yu to yell out in exasperation. "YOU IDIOT!" He yells, and takes off after Allen, for right when Allen took off, he saw something he had been expecting out of the corner of his eye. An Akuma. He was headed straight for it, and he was totally oblivious.

 

Racing after Allen, Lavi having run after and with his speed caught the cat, jumped over Allen, and using Mugen, sliced the Akuma who had been standing in front of the oblivious Allen. It explodes, the wind from the explosion making Yu's hair fly around. Lavi catches up, panting slightly, the cat clutched tightly in his arms. "Wow that was a close one!!" Lavi exclaims, smiling. Yu whacks Allen with the flat of the blade, it was obvious that something was up by how irritated Yu was. "Don't just run off like that you idiot!!!" He snarls

Allen had been so focused on catching his golem that he failed to notice the Akuma until Kanda leaped over him and sliced it in two. Allen stumbled back, Timcampy safely held to his chest. His eyes were wide and he mentally slapped himself a few times for not being more careful. Allen yelped when Kanda smacked him with his blade, causing the white-haired boy to scowl up at the samurai and rub the now stinging wound. Something in Allen seemed to snap then and the usual calm boy lost all of his calm.

 

"I didn't tell you to save me! You always complain about having to save me or say that you're not going to help if I get into trouble but you still do! If you hate me so much then why don't you just let me be killed?! At least then I wouldn't get on your nerves as much as I seem to do!" Allen yelled before turning on his heel and stomping over to the hotel and inside, fuming.
