"That's not the point! I can't... I can't let you die! Not ever! You got that?!" No.....he couldn't let Allen die. hHe didn't wanted that at all! He watches as Allen goes into the hotel, and Lavi glances at him, before following Allen into the hotel. Yu sighs and after a moment he too went inside. He pauses at the door to take one last look at the near empty street, before heading into the building. He finds what room they were staying in, unfortunately it wasn't seperate rooms.

He goes to the room, but pauses at the door, ishis hand on the handle when he hears Lavi talking to Allen. "Don't let him get to you Allen. It's not worth it...he may not like to admit it, but he does c-" You slammed open the door at that point, and Lavi stops talking. Yu says nothing, but goes over to one of the beds, and as he passes by Allen he tosses him a cold pack for the most likely still stinging spot where he had been slapped with Mugen. He reaches the bed, and pulls off his jacket, and then lays down, his back facing Lavi and Allen. Lavi shrugs, and takes the bed farthest from Allen, so Allen's bed was the middle one.

When Lavi came in Allen was sitting on the middle bed, gazing blankly at the wall. He didn't look up when Lavi came in but he did however listen to the red-head. He almost snorted. Kanda? Care? Allen didn't think those two words had been used in the same sentence before, probably only if the words "I don't" were placed in front of care. Allen still refused to look up as the door slammed open. He knew who it was and Allen fully expected Kanda to come strangle him for yelling at him like that.

But Allen's life seemed to be spared when Kanda simply tossed an icepack at Allen before pulling off his jacket and lays down. Allen blinked and gave Lavi a confused look, to which he only shrugged and laid down as well, leaving Allen the bed near Kanda.

The white-haired exorcist sighed and walked over to the double doors leading out to the small balcony their room held. He leaned against the rail, shivering since he had taken off his jacket when he had come into the room. But he didn't go back inside no matter how freezing he was. He simply sighed and stared up at the full moon shining in the night sky.

Yu watches as Allen leaves the room, and walks out onto the balcony connected to the room. He sighs and turns so his back was to the white haired boy, and quickly falls asleep, only to jolt awake againfrom the same nightmare, and was about to fall back to sleep when he hears giggling. It was dark, and even though it seems he had only been asleep for a few minutes, it had actually been five hours. Allen was now back inside, fast asleep, same with Lavi. He sits up slowly, and pulls on his jacket, rezching for Mugen and pulling the blade from the scabbard. A sound was outside, on the balcony. He gets up quietly, making sure not to wake the others.

He opens the balcony door just wide enough for him to slip outside, and closes it behind him. A pair of eyes could be seen, and the giggling starts again. what do you want?! Leave me alone!! Quit haunting my dreams!' The only response was more giggling, and dust was thrown in his face." You!' He could here the person running, as they had jumped to the ground below. He was about to hchase after them, but then glances back at the room. He couldn't just leave them. But the person was getting away... he shakes his head, and decides to stay. He goes back inside, and sits down on his bed, after wiping his face off, but he doesn't lay down, instead he decides to stay awake the rest of the night.

Allen was dreaming of eyes, golden eyes that seemed to mock him as he ran through the darkness, bleeding and scared. He cried out for Kanda but his voice was drowned out by a high-pitched voice. You're so pathetic. Kanda won't save you, no one will. You're all alone~ Allen frantically shook his head, falling to his knees with tears streaming down his face. Laughter seemed to echoed around him in the darkness and he covered his ears, screaming at it to stop.

In the waking world Allen was crying out very softly, twisting this way and that with tears running down his face.

Yu looks over at Allen, who was tossing and turning in his sleep, with tears falling from his closed eyes. Yu frowns, and quietly gets up from his bed, his hair falling like a waterfall down his shoulders, as he had taken the ribbon out of his hair. He walks over to the side of Allen's bed, bending over, placing his hand on Allen's shoulder, and shakes him gently. "Allen...Allen, wake up." Yu didn't like seeing Allen look so sad. He wondered what Allen was dreaming about to make him cry like that.

Allen jerked, his eyes flying open with a gasp. At first all he saw was a blurry shape kneeling next to him and he instinctively flinched back. He then realized it was Kanda and Allen blinked, silver eyes bright with tears. "K-Kanda..?" He asked in a tremblingly voice, a voice that just wasn't Allen. He was still badly shaken up from his dream and wasn't really himself.

Kanda notes how Allen flinches away, but then realizes it was him. "Yeah, it's me, is something .wrong?" Yu had a worried look on his face, Ashe notices how Allen sounded. He kneels down, so he was level with Allen, resting his elbows on his knees, and looks and looks into Allen's face. "Tell me what's wrong. I know I'm not Lavi, but he isn't awake right now...." He speaks softly being careful to not wake the said sleeping Lavi.

Allen sat up, drawing his knees to his chest and wrapping his arms around them. "I just had a nightmare, that's all." He said softly, glancing over at Lavi. Sure enough, the red-head was still out like a light, snoring away. Allen turned back and rested his forehead on his knees, knowing he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.

"Right...I'm sorry that I'm not Lavi..." He stands up, and goes over to his own bed, sitting on the edge of the covers, his back to Allen, so that the white-haired boy could not see the disappointed and slightly hurt look on the samurai's face. He knew at the best of times he wasn't very inviting, and that he wasn't that easy to talk to...but it still stung, at having one prefer Lavi over himself. He lays down on his side, his back still facing Allen, his long hair falling in his face. 'Of course he's not going to talk to me...He probably hates me from all the times I've yelled at him...but still...' He thinks about the nightmare that has been plaguing him, and he frowns. He didn't know why, but the very thought of that nightmare made him not want to let Allen go anywhere on his own...

Allen frowned as he watched Kanda go back over to his bed. Was it something he said? Allen almost groaned aloud. Why did the samurai have to be so confusing?! Allen stood and slipped his shoes on. He grabbed his coat, muttered that he was talking a walk then left the room, Timcampy following after.

He left the hotel and took a breath of the cold night air. He stuffed his hands into his pockets as he started walking down the street.

Yu says and does nothing, and listens as Allen leaves the room, and he waits a few moments before getting up from the bed, and making he had Mugen with him. He too leaves the room, and quietly slips after Allen, keeping to the shadows, his stealth keeping him hidden from Allen, the white haired boy wouldn't even know that he was there. Like hell was he going to let the kid go somewhere on his own at this time of night. After what had happened earlier, he was now determined to not let Allen out of his sight, not even for a moment. Well, except for when he went to the bathroom of course.

They continue to walk down a quiet street, Allen walking ahead, and Kanda trailing after him, his eyes never leaving the back of Allen's head, a focused and determined look on his face. He was sure that Lavi could take care of himself if he woke up while they were gone, it was Allen that he was worried about.

Allen walked around the town, not really sure where he was going, just wandering. He eventually came to a cemetery. He hesitated for a moment before entering. He walked among the graves, fingertips brushing against the tops as he walked. He didn't know why he was here, but he enjoyed the silence that filled the air. He eventually stopped and leaned against a tree, gazing up at the full moon. A few moments passed before Allen started to hum quietly to himself.

Yu follows him into the cemetery, hiding behind a rather large statue that was the grave marker to apparently someone very important. His eyes had not left Allen once, though every now and then he would glance around for any sign of danger, though it was quiet, and no Akuma seemed to be around. He wondered why this was, as the report he had read said that the place was crawling with the stupid things. He could see a bit of Allen's face when he had looked up at the sky, and could see that the boy was calm.

Kanda sighs quietly, and leans against the statue, running his finger along the handle of Mugen. His ears perk up however when about ten minutes later a sound could be heard, but it was so quiet that only Kanda could hear it. He narrows his eyes, and looks around, and standing twenty feet away from Allen and creeping closer to Allen was an Akuma...it looked stronger than a level one Akuma, it was shaped differently, but there was no doubt that it was one. Maybe a level two? And there was Allen, totally oblivious to what was happening. He wouldn't be able to react in time! Yu growls at himself, and then jumps from the place he was hiding. "ALLEN!!! LOOK OUT!!!" He yells, before raising Mugen to eye level, and then swings his sword, while yelling First Illusion: Netherworld Insects!", and a swarm of strange looking creatures appear, and fly at the Akuma, but not much happens, though it does slow the Akuma down.

Allen stumbled forward in shock, whirling around to see Kanda leap at an Akuma. Where did he come from?! Before Allen could question the samurai he was suddenly thrown sideways, the boy groaning as he crashed into a gravestone. He stumbled to his feet, slightly dazed only to be thrown once again, this time hitting a tree. He blinked, looking up to see a second Akuma floating over him.

'There are two of them? Both stronger than Level One? What's going on?!' Kanda thinks to himself, his breath catching when out of the corner of his eye he could see Allen get knocked into a gravestone, and then tossed hard against the tree. He was just about to get skewered by the Akuma that was floating above him in his daze, but Kanda yells, and jumps up at the Akuma, bringing Mugen down on the Akuma's arm, and slicing it off, making it screech with pain, and back away. "GET UP!!!" He yells at Allen, before sending another volley of Netherworld Insects at the second Akuma, this time it was successful, and it was destroyed but the move.

He didn't see the first Akuma coming up from behind him, and once he realized that it was behind him, it was too late, he was flying through the air, and he slammed against the giant statue, the wind being knocked out of his lungs, a slight crater forming in the statue from the force of the blow, Mugen flying from his grip, and landing on the ground, the blade driving into the earth, and the whole thing quivering. "Al-len..." Kanda coughs, and small drops of blood fly from his mouth, and he slides down the side of the statue, a thick streak of blood forming on the grey statue as he slid down, and lands in a heap on the ground, unconscious from the drastic blow. The last thing he saw before his eyes closed, his vision blurred, was the Akuma advancing on Allen. "N-no..."

Allen quickly regained his senses as Kanda attacked the Akuma in front of him. Allen saw the first Akuma and tried to warn the samurai and he was sent flying. Allen staggered to his feet, yelling Kanda's name as his arm activated. He lunged at the Akuma that had hit Kanda, swinging at it with his arm. The second came up behind him when he wasn't looking and fired, hitting Allen's back. He cried out and the first Akuma took the advantage to throw him away. The white-haired boy hit a gravestone, tumbled over and slammed into a second.

He opened blurry eyes to see both Akuma's advancing on him. He staggered to his feet, holding his side where he was sure one or two ribs where broken. He barely dodges the first Akuma then grunts when the second rams into him. He grits his teeth and slashes at the bound soul. The Akuma lets out a shriek as it was destroyed and Allen focusing on the last one. He sees it hovering over Kanda, about to kill him. A wordless scream escaped Allen and he threw himself across the distance, barely managing to cover Kanda's body with his own before the Akuma struck.

Allen cried out when he felt something pierce his shoulder. He cried out again when he was then lifted into the air and thrown away once again. He laid there, dazed.

"BIG HAMMER LITTLE HAMMER!!!!!!!! A voice yells through the night, and a huge hammer flies through the air, slamming the remaining Akuma aside after it had pierced Allen's shoulder with it's spear like arm. Lavi stood there, all the usual goofiness gone from his face, his eyes blazing with an intense flame that not many got to see. "HOW DARE YOU...HURT..." He raises his hammer, and a series of seals form around it, and he presses his hammer against one of them, the stamp glowing red. "MY FRIENDS!!!!!!!" FIRE STAMP! HELLFIRE AND ASH!!!!!!" A giant blaze of flames form, and a snake appears, devouring the Akuma, and in moments it was gone. Lavi takes a few deep breaths, the size of his hammer getting smaller, until it was tiny, and then walks over to Allen, who was laying a few feet away from an unconscious Yu. "Allen...speak to me...Are you alright?"

Allen groaned and cracked his eyes open to peer up at Lavi. "Help....Kanda....first..." He mumbled, eyes falling closed again. His body hurt all over, he felt dizzy from blood loss and all he wanted was to sleep. He could feel himself slowly start to drift off, the darkness rising up. It drug him down and he knew no more.

Lavi's eyes narrow when Allen tells him to take care of Kanda first, but he shakes his head. "No...he can wait. He has regeneration power...remember?" But when he looks at Allen's face, he could see that the white haired boy had passed out. He sighs, and pulls out a roll of bandages, and unbuttons Allen's jacket, pulling it and his shirt off. He then wraps the wound, the blood seeping through the white cloth seconds later, and he puts more on, before tying the end off tightly. Then he wraps Allen's torso, sure that from being tossed around his ribs had taken damage. Only when he was sure that the blood wasn't pouring from Allen does he walk over to Kanda, and stares at the samurai's unconscious face.

"You...really do care about him don't you?..." He murmurs, feeling slightly jelous, kneeling down to him, and setting him upright against the wall. He then puts some bandages around Kanda's head, making a kind of headband out of the bandages. He then wraps Kanda's hand, which was bleeding. After everything was done, he goes back to Allen, and grabs his clothes, before dragging him carefully towards Yu, before wrapping his free arrm around Kanda as well, clutching at his hammer, and using it to get them back to the hotel, where he sets both unconscious men in their beds, and collapses on his own, groaning from how heavy they had been.

But he doesn't stay down for long, he had to take care of them, and worked late into the night, going from Allen to Kanda and back again, changing their bandages, and also had taken off Kanda's jacket and shirt as well, noticing that blood had been coming from his back. The sun was coming up by the time he was sure everything would be fine, and he finishes wrapping a clean bandage around Allen's shoulder, dark circles beneath his visible eye, his vision slightly blurry, and he swayed as he knelt there.

(Oh, and I'm thinking that even though Lavi acts like he likes Allen, that's all it is...and act. He's going to actually like "like" Kanda, but only does what he does to keep from brooding over the fact Kanda doesn't realize this. He's jelous of Allen, as he kinda guesses that despite all he says, Kanda likes Allen)

Allen slowly swam up through the darkness. His body felt heavy and it hurt a lot. His eyes fluttered open, the world swaying before him. He painfully turned his head and Kanda's blurry form came into focus. Allen weakly reached out to the samurai, trying to call his name but the only thing that passed through his lips was a wordless croak. His hand fell limp though when his sight went dark and he sank back into unconsciousness.

Lavi looked up when he hears Allen shift, and smiles at him, but then notices how he was reaching out to the unconscious Kanda. He sighs, and was about to say something to Allen, when the boy passed out once more. He takes a deep breath, and slaps his cheeks a few times to keep himself awake. Just because they were in the clear didn't mean everything was 100% just yet.

Kanda stirs slightly in his sleep, this was the first time he'd moved since they had gotten back to the hotel. Lavi didn't know f the samurai would be waking up any time soon, he had taken quite a hit to the back of his head, and even with his regeneration abilities, tit would take a bit of time for such an extensively damaging wound to heal.

It was soon morning, the sun was up, and Lavi was close to passing out.

Allen was dreaming, it was the same dream as before where he was stumbling blind through the darkness. He still hurt and he was still afraid but what made it worse was he could hear Kanda calling his name. Allen called back but was unable to find the samurai. Allen felt tears run down his face as the voice mocked him for being weak, for being pathetic. He eventually just collapsed to the ground and curled into a ball, laughter echoing around him once again.

In the waking world Allen had shifted, tears falling down his cheeks though he was too weak and exhausted to cry out or move around much like he normally did when he had a nightmare.

"I...I need sleep..." Lavi groans, before noticing that Allen was crying in his sleep. He frowns, and goes over to Allen, before laying down next to him, wrapping his arms gently around Allen's body, and holding him close, comforting him just by being there. Before he even knew it, he had passed out, exhausted from staying up so late. For some reason he didn't snore like usual, but was quiet as he slept.

Unknown to the sleeping men, a lone figure had snuck into their room, and was sitting, perched like a bird, on the foot board of Kanda's bed, and was staring at them, a nasty little grin on their lips. Golden eyes glinted in the dark room despite the sun being up and a soft giggle could be heard as another figure steps up. "They're so pathetic aren't they Road-chan?" The standing asks. "Yes....they are..." For a while the two continue to observe them, but knew they should leave as they saw Kanda still again. They did, but they giggle one last time, causing Kanda to grimace slightly in his sleep.

Allen blinked his eyes open only to immediately close them again as a bright light pierce his retina's. He tried again, squinting this time. His body still hurt a lot but his head wasn't as fuzzy as before. He tried to move only to realize he couldn't. He turned his head slightly, red suddenly filling his vision. Allen blinked, seeing Lavi sound asleep with his arms wrapped around the white-haired boy.

The young male, with much wiggling, gasps of pain, and silent cursing, managed to free himself from the red-heads grasp and stand painfully to his feet. He swayed, having to catch himself against the bed. After a few moments when the world settled back in place he painfully limped over to the bed next to the one he had been laying on. He stared down at Kanda with sad eyes. This is all my fault, if I had just stayed in the room he wouldn't be laying here injured.

He reached down and gentle brushed some hair out of the samurai's face.

At the feeling of something brushing his hair from his face, Yu's eyes slowly open, his vision blurred at first, but focuses after a bit. It was sAllen. For some reason at that moment he was glad that Allen was there, and he slowly reaches up to grasp Allen's wrist in his hand. He was aching all over, and there was a dull pain in the back of his head and lower and middle back, a constant throbbing.
