Kira nodded smiling a bit. He thought about his past, and the Master he was suppose to have, and a shiver went down his back.

"I'll be here waiting for you when you get back, promise!"

He smiled calmly trying to keep the man out of his mind

Konoe frowned but nodded as he walked out the room, he normally ate at the kitchen table with Mika but he guessed Kira didn't feel up to that so he wandered into the kitchen and poured the tea that had already been made looking around for his maid, it was unusual for her not to be around this time of the morning but still he thought nothing of it.

 

Picking up the two plates of breakfast he balanced then on one arm while carrying his tea in the other hand as he made his way back. Making a quick stop at the first aid cupboard to grab an ice pack one some cream for the swelling.

Kira thought about things in the room, his old Master...and his family...and more importantally Konoe. He then walked out and caught site of Konoe and took some of the things from him to help

"Did you want to eat in the kitchen?"

He asked softly as he held the medicine and a few other things.

Konoe shock his head "I don't mind that much, I normally eat there with Mika but she doesn't seem to be around at the moment so wherever you want." Walking back into the bedroom he opened the curtains and blinds after placing the plates down he gently pulled kira towards the bed, gently sitting him down he took the cream and squeezing some onto his hand he said "lift your chin up, this will help although it will fell skittle cold and tingly." He gently began to run the cream into the others neck where bruise marks were already starting to show clearly.

Kira remained calm, not minding the tingly feeling he was getting. And he didn't mind the bruise either. He was use to being hurt, and now he was use to being cared for...he was glad to know what both felt like...since he knows most slaves don't know what it's like to be loved...then for some unknown reason he remembered someone important....someone he forced himself to forget so he wouldn't mind dyeing...he remembered his little brother.....tears filled his eyes now and quickly spilled over, and under his breath he mumbled

"Akira......"

He closed his eyes and remained still, now hoping for the saftey of his brother, which he left in the care of the Master who cared for him and Konoe earlier

Shocked as he saw tears spilling from Kira's eyes Konoe withdrew sharply worriedly saying "Sorry, does it hurt? I have finished now so you should be ok." His eyes were filled with worry as he looked at Kira, slowly leaning forward he captured the others lips in a soft kiss in a vain attempt to stop the tears, he had no idea why the other was crying, if it hurt so much he should have said something. Drawing away again he quietly said "sorry, are you all right?"

Kira managed a smile and shook his head

"I'm sorry. No it doesn't hurt....just....I remembered something that made me cry.....s-sorry!"

He didn't mean to make Konoe feel bad....it wasn't even Konoe's fault

"Um...would you mind if I barrowed your phone later?"

He asked softly, not knowing rather ir not it was a good idea for him to even check on his brother

Konoe smiled softly "of course it's OK go ahead but please stop crying." He gently strokes the others back trying to comfort him. "Come on, years never helped anyone in this day so how about you eat up and then go use the phone." Konoe spoke softly his voice calm and comforting as it rarely was.

Kira smiled a bit and nodded, drying his tears with his hand. He didn't mean to make Konoe feel bad, and now he felt bad. He then hugged Konoe softly, holding him close to him. He laid his head on Konoe's shoulder and closed his eyes, finding gread comfort in this. He still was thinking about his brother, but he was trying not to cry again.

Soon he let him go and began eatting his food

Konoe sighed relieved when Kira stopped crying, he wasnt very good at dealing with tears so he was glad they had stopped. Picking up his tea he took a sip before he started to eat, he wasnt very hungry yet and was slightly worried about his financial state at the moment, unlike most masters he didnt have a steady income from exploiting others and he had to make his money from his own sweat and right now he had no new books out so was starting to spend more than he was earning. Finishing his food he said "I am going to the library so do you want to come? Although you will have to be quiet because i need to finish this book."he said seriously but not unkindly.

Kira finished eatting happily and nodded.

"Then I can finish mine too. And when I do, if it's good enough could you publish it for me? Then you can have more money, cause I don't need money since I live here and you care for me!"

He smiled sweetly and finished his tea happily.

He then stood up with and picked up all the dishes swiftly yet carefully taking them to the kitchen where he began washing them for whoever washes dishes

Konoe smiled as he saw Kira helping wash the dishes, he sure knew how to please Mika, she would be delighted later, kira really was a considerate person. "Are you sure you want to publish it after all its something very personal, dont worry about money we will get buy i might just have to stop buying rare and expensive books for a while!" He turned to go to the library calling over his shoulder "I'll see you in a moment." Before he walked away.

 

Entering the library he made swift work of cleaning and filling his pen, picking up hi papers he looked at the fire frowning, he liked having it lit and listening to its cracking as he worked but it was a little warm to day to bother so instead he just sat at the desk and began writing again.

Kira followed Konoe after finishing the dishes. He filled his own pen and laid down, writing continuing his book quietly. He didn't know if he wanted to publish this.....it was personal...but if it could help Konoe maybe he didn't mind. As he wrote he knew that he was getting to the part about hiding his baby brother....and his writing slowed but continued. He took a deep breath and continued writing calmly, explaining in great detail everything that he was writing and how he felt giving up the baby brother he barely knew. As he wrote thr words I love you his heart hurt...and he looked up at Konoe

"Can I barrow your phone now....please.....?"

Konoe wrote quickly for once the words coming to him like water from a tap. He let the pen slide across the paper creating beautifully curled letters that formed the words in his book. He was so emersed he had completely forgotten his surroundings instead totally within the area of the book as he described the area. Suddenly Kira's voice broke through his trace jerking him violently back to reality, his pen nib cracked as he accidentally moved his hand in an unexpected motion causing the nib to move, "crap!" He swore under his breath as he quickly fixed the pen with his finger tip. Looking up at Kira he frowned trying to remember what had been said to him. "Ohh yes... Sure.. Go ahead." He took a phone out the desk draws and chucked it to Kira before his head bent down again and he got back to writing.

Kira didn't mean to intrupt Konoe. But he took the phone and quietly left the room. He called the Master that helped him and Konoe and impatiently awaited an answer.

Finally someone answered but it wasn't that man...it was his brother!

He talked to his brother for a while, tears stung his eyes but he didn't let them fall. When it came time for his brother to hang up they said their I love yous and hung up.

Kira quietly walked back in and put the phone where it came from and laid on the floor continuing his writing calmer now then earlier

Konoe looked up as the other returned,, he had lost his flow of writing now so it don't really matter if the started talking again "Who'd you call? if you don't mind me asking." he said calmly as he scanned over his pages of writing he was nearly finished he just wasn't sure how to end the last couple of pages, did he want to make it sad or have a happy ending, he understood why many books were such perfect endings as life rarely did have any but it was for that reason he wasn't sure whether to end it as such, he sighed quietly.

"Well....."

Kira put his pen down, taking a deep breath as he began to speak.

"I...earlier remembered that....I have a little brother....I gave him away to a Master who wouldn't harm him....a-and then I had to call him...to find out if he was ok...he answered the phone and we talked for a while...I-I had forgotten he existed....I had forced myself to do so, so I wouldn't care the day my life ended by the hands of a Master...but now....I want to see him...but I can't....I just can't!"

Tears stung his eyes as he closed them tightly trying hard not to cry now

Konoe rubbed his temples he was dreadful at dealing with people crying and had no idea what to do. Awkwardly he stood and wandered over to Kira, kneeling he embraced the other in a clumsy hug softly saying "why cant you see him? i can take you if you want." Konoe might have offered and he was perfectly happy taking Kira except there was no way he was stepping a single toe into another master's house he would rather wait in the car and pretend he was a chauffeur. Awkwardly he rubbed the others back not sure what else to do or say.

Kira looked up and slightly nodded

"Y-yea...ok...but I'm scared.....really scared that he might resent me....for sending him away..."

He clung to Konoe like a child clinging to his parent. He didn't know what to do now...and he could tell Konoe was unfamiliar with this kind of situation... and he hated putting him here. He then closed his eyes and became calm

Konoe stroked the others hair softly as he calmed down. This wasn't exactly something he should be interfering with so he planned to let Kira decide by himself although the other seemed pretty upset over the whole situation. Losing his head slightly he kissed the others hair holding him close.

Kira smiled a bit and easily calmed down more. He wrapped his arms around Konoe and smiled a bit

"Thank you...I feel better.....I...I just needed a hug.."

He knew it sounded stupid and childish to just need a bit of affection, but it was true...all he needed was to be held for a moment so he could realize that someone was there for him...that's all he ever truly needed in his life was someone to be there for him that wouldn't harm him

Konoe smiled softly nodding as he pulled the other as close as he could, holding him flush to his chest and rocking slightly "Sorry for being so useless but i hope this is ok." He said quietly as he continued to rock trying to comfort Kira as much as he could, he didnt know what to say but he figured his actions would speak well enough.

Kira smiled a bit and closed his eyes happily

"No, you're doing just fine, I promise!"

He did feel a lot better, amazed at how useless Konoe thought he was. He didn't want Konoe to feel that way....because then he felt the same way...he could feel through Konoe's actions he cared...so why did Konoe feel that way??

"Thank you." Konoe whispered reassured slightly although he still felt a little inadequate, after all Kira deserved someone better then him, he who had raped the male upon meeting him and now expected kindness in return. He mentally sick hoods head trying to rid himself of those thoughts, for now he guessed it was ok. He lessened his girl around the other and used one finger to gently raise kira's face to look at him. He studied the make for a moment wondering what was going through his head before he slowly lowered his lips to meet the others. He tried to cannery how much he cared into that one kiss although it was unlikely it came even close to how he really felt.

Kira smiled a bit, blushing now from the kiss. He did feel much bettef now, and the feelings from the kiss only made him feel even more better.

He looked at Konoe for a moment and smiled softly, closing his eyes and kissing Konoe back, making sure his kiss had the sane feelings wrapped inside it.
