Konoe nodded before realising the man couldn't see him. "Yes..for now." He hung up the phone. How could that man sound so at ease with the world. He sighed, the master must have been dealt a good hand in life. He wished he had a good card in his let alone a whole hand of happiness. Looking at Mika he asked "Could you make some coffee for when he gets here. We'll go into the drawing room." He didn't want anyone in here, Mika was the only other person allowed to enter this room, there were too many valuable items in here. Sighing he stood and placed the manuscript back onto his desk carefully covering it in a light plastic film so it didn't get any dust on it.

Mika nodded and made coffee, making sure it had the right balance so it wasn't too strong or too weak. As she finished she heard a soft knock on the door. She ran to the door and opened it carefully, fearing the person behind the door might be the man that threatened her earlier. She sighed in relief when it wasn't

"Please, right this way Sir. How do you take your coffee?"

 

The Master slightly smiled

"Very sweet...with milk, please?"

He asked kindly, remembering her from before

"I remember you....the look in your eyes were that of hatred for Kira...you wanted him to die, or me to take him...he's not that bad...just...cautious..."

He spoke fondly of Kira, his eyes showing nothing but love for the boy

 

Mika sighed softly, she had already realized that when she saw how happy Konoe always was after that incident. She lead the man to the kitchen and let him prepare his cup of coffee, then she lead him to the drawing room and walked out, leaving the men to their talks

 

The Master sat down, taking a sip of his coffee

"If I may, what was the reason you contacted me Konoe?"

He asked, his eyes curious

Konoe took a sip of his coffee as he noticed the master walk in and sit down. A shiver ran through him as looked at the man. He looked so calm and collected. Attempting to emulate that calmness Konoe placed his coffee down on the table and took a breath. Opening his mouth to speak he started something but n words came out. How was he mean to start this conversation anyway. This man who cared so deeply fr Kira, how was he mean to explain Kira had left with another master? how would he explain that he loved Kira? yes, he loved him. Funny how you don't realise how much you need someone until they go. Konoe needed Kira.

 

Taking another breath he finally spoke. "A..Another master took Kira." He paused before carrying on not letting the man get a word in. "Help me..please." He couldn't hold it in his voice quivered a little as his eyes began to shine with unshed tears. he wanted to stay calm but he couldn't "Please, help me save him, I can't lose him. Not again. This can't happen to me again." He bent his head down, his hair falling in front of his eyes as his fingers clenched at the fabric of his creased clothes.

The Master's eyes got wide. This isn't the first time Kira's been taken.....but this time someone actually wants him back.....

"Tell me one thing.....do you love Kira, Konoe? Is that why you want him back?"

His voice was soft and calm. He was curious about this. No one ever actually cared for Kira but himself...but maybe this man did...maybe

"Why did another Master take Kira...what happened?"

He wanted to know...and rather or not Konoe was willing he would find out, he had a right to know what happened to his Kira...he had a right to know

Konoe looked up at the man his eyes widening slightly at the question before he lowered them again and nodded, calmly saying "Yes, I love Kira." Konoe thought on how to explain it without having to tell his past, he didn't want anyone to know that. He took a deep breath and explained, finally calming down completely and able to look upon the situation with a more logical view. "It was my fault really. A man came around. From my past. He wanted me really but it was such a shock I couldn't do a thing. Kira volunteered himself to be taken in my place." Placing his hands on his knees he bowed "I'm sorry I couldn't protect Kira."

The Master sighed softly

"Amazing.....to hear my son gave his life for a Master.....ut doesn't sound like anything he'd do.....I can see he really loves you too. Ok, I'll help...but you have to help me keep one secret from him..."

The Master never has told anyone this before.....but if Kira loves the man.....this man must know what Kira can't.

"Long ago...when Kira was a child and his brother an infant...Kira's mom was killed.....the Master that killed her...supposedly killed his dad as well...what he doesn't know....."

His voice began to fade, sounding a bit cautious and sad

"Is that I lived....."

He looked away, his emotions trying to get the best of him but he held them off

Konoe looked at the master silently as he told him the secret. He frowned for a moment trying to decide exactly what the man meant. Suddenly understanding Konoe looked at him in shock."You mean...." he trailed of unsure that he had come to the right conclusion "You mean you're his dad?" he asked in disbelief. Now he felt even more dreadful for letting this befall Kira. his father had really been watching over him all this time and Konoe couldn't even keep him safe for a couple of months. "Why can't you tell him?" He asked confused and felling a little sorry for Kira.

The man looked down sadly

"Because.....if I told him....he might not believe me...he watched me be killed by the Master....though I survived...somehow...a-and all Kira has known since then is that a kind Master took him in...."

Slowly he stood up and removed a few odd looking things. As he did this and looked back at Konoe his entire appearance changed from

His dark purple eyes shinning with a sorrowful look and his mind hoping that this man doesn't run and tell Kira.....he knews his son can't handle it yet

Konoe watched finding it hard to take in as the man in front of him stood and removed his outer appearance. He in hailed a little at what was revealed, the man was really quite beautiful and elegant. He struggled to take it ask in. Finally coming to terms with the change he stood and walked over to the sorrowful man placing a gentle hand on his cheek he asked "will you ever tell him? I won't if you all Me not to, it's not my secret to tell but he might be happier knowing his family is in part part, alive."

He shook his head softly.

"Kira....he might reject this idea...he might hate me if I tell him....I want my son happy....and he seems happy just thinking of me as a kind Master....I was a slave all my life until they thought I was dead...I forgot my own name and just had everyone call me by Master...even other Masters would address me in such a manner....but recently, while playing with Akira I recalled my name....I remembered why I named Kira, Kira....it was a name passed down threw my family from a father to his first born child....I-it killed me inside to recall this...but I know that telling Kira could upset him....I-I just don't know how to ever tell him"

He softly leaned into Konoe's touch, finding some peace in it

Konoe nodded "I understand" and he actually did, having gone so long not even knowing yourself to then tell someone else who might be gift by the truth could break the man. Remorse suddenly overcoming him he gently pulled the master into his arms understanding that both of them needed it right now. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect your son and I know I don't deserve him, but please let me care for him and cherish him when we get kira back." His words were soft but from the heart, he meant every word he said.

Kira slightly gasped and wrapped his arms softly around Konoe, gently petting the man's head. He could tell that Konoe was true to his words, and that made a big difference to him. He had never heard anyone wanting his son before....not the way Konoe did.

"Alright, I'll help you, and after that you can take care of him....s-someday.....I'll tell him the truth...someday...."

He moved a strand of his long hair behind his back and smiled lighty

Konoe nodded taking a slight step back. "When you do I'll be there as well to help." He promised as he stood a little straighter wondering how they were going to get Korea back anyway, it just didn't make sense he couldn't see a plan that would work. Suddenly seconding dawned upon him"ummm, Kira, didn't your son say he had a brother, he is okay with being by himself I guess. " he said a little worried for three younger male.

Kira smiled a bit.

"He's not alone, he came in with me. He's been talking with Mika and helping her clean for some odd reason. Don't worry, I wouldn't leave him alone."

Kira smiled softly at Konoe and his eyes showed a softness that most don't have.

"Akira knows that I'm his dad...he accepts it. Would you like to meet him?"

He asked kindly with a smile on his face.

Konoe stepped back a little composing himself again "of it is okay, I guess he might not really want to meet me after all." He smiled sadly even though he wanted to meet his brother but he would accept it if he didn't want to. Kira to Konoe's hand and lead him down stairs to where Akira and Mika were talking.

Akira smiled childishly at them both and Mika smiled too.

Kira hugged his son softly

"Son, this man is your big brother's lover, his name is Konoe"

 

Akira smiled and after his dad released him he hugged Konoe quickly. He was glad to his brother found love

Konoe gasped slightly as he felt the arms wrap around his waist. He smiled and gently ruffled the males hair. "Hello Akira." He said his voice soft for once, this boy was pretty cute although he was definitely nothing like Kira, he found it hard to believe the two were even bbrothers this make was so pure and sweet. "I hope Mika is being mind to you."

Akira smiled happily at the man and bowed.

"Yes, she's very kind to me. She's teaching me to make a home made soup from scratch....it's harder then I thought, but it's fun!"

He smiled a childish smile and went back to helping Mika.

 

Kira smiled

"Shall we go try to find your love...?"

He asked calmly

Konoe smiled at Akira "i'm glad you are getting along, she is a good cook soi hope she teaches you well." He ruffled the smaller males hair before turning back to Kira. "Yes, do you have any ideas as to how to find him?" He asked, himself having no idea at all.

Kira shook his head sadly. He really had no clue.....he didn't even know what the man looked like...let alone what he would do to his son.

"No....not really....."

He spoke quietly but honestly. He felt helpless right now, he couldn't even save his own son......why....why did he have to be a failure as a father

Konoe gulped scared to admit he was at a loss as well. He looked at the floor ashamed of himself for being so utterly useless.

Mika looked up at the two makes and rolled her eyes "never ask a man to do something that requires more than an once of brain power." She t took a piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to the two. "Here, when that man took you two upstairs I figured there was something of about him so I took his numberplate, you should be able to track it to a house or somewhere." She said clearly quite proud of herself.

Kira smiled happily and took the paper. He took the paper and walked to a computer. He then sat down at it and got onto a site that was his own. He typed in the plate number and soon the man's picture came up and a picture of his car came up. Alone with a address and a background story on him

"Found him. He lives 25 miles from here and drives a black Camaro."

Kira smiled back at Mika proud of himself and her. He got up and hugged her tightly

"Thank you.....maybe because of you....I can save my son, thank you!"

He kissed her hair and let her go

"Shall we take my car Konoe? If this man knows you he might recognize your car, he wont know me so my car will be unfamiliar to him."

Konoe waited in anticipation as the master looked up the address. He couldn't help but smile in relief when the search came back with something that would actually help him. "Okay then, Akira should stay here with Mika, I don't want to get him involved in this too." He grabbed his phone from the counter "lock the entire house when we leave and call me if anything happens okay Mika?" The girl nodded and smiled "bring Kira back for me konoe, he was actually starting to grow on me." From Mika that was a massive compliment the girl would rarely admit she liked anyone.

Kira smiled and ruffled both Akira, and Mika's hair, making Akira giggle

"Can I see big brother this time...please?"

Akira begged his dad, making him sigh.

"Yes son, if we can rescue him successfully then I'll make sure you get to see him..."

Kira took Konoe's hand and walked out the door with him, smiling slightly as he held the door open for Konoe to get in

"Lets hurry....the longer that man has my son, the more danger he's in"

Secretly Kira wasn't talking about his son being in danger, but the man that held his son captive

Konoe nodded rushing to follow Kira to the door. He opened the door looking at the car in the drive he asked "are you going to drive out do you want me to?" He asked although it was a dumb question since the cars had autodrive if you just typed a destination in but he knew he was a quick driver and wasn't sure how quick this man was.
