At around 6:00 Karou stumbled from his bed to the bathroom, feeling exhausted seeing as he tossed and turned all night. He took a shower, hoping it would help. It woke him up slightly but he couldn't seem to stop yawning as he grabbed his bag and exited his apartment, heading to work. He entered the building and took the elevator to his floor, stepping out and headed to his office. He sat his bag down and collapsed into his chair, quietly groaning to himself as he rested his head on his desk. "Hey Karou,.." He trailed off, blinking down at his friend. "Hey man, you look dead. What's wrong? You're not sick are you?"

 

Karou raised his head, shaking it as he yawned again. "No, I just couldn't fall asleep last night. I'll be fine." He said, rubbing his tired eyes.

Takashi awoke in the morning as light started to stream in through the window, he groaned realising he had fallen asleep writing, lifting his head he looked at the work he had been doing, some of the ink was smudged but it was still pretty much legible. Putting the lid back on his fountain pen he stood groaning as his cramped muscles stretched. Walking grogily towards the bathroom he threw his clothes into a corner, he could tidy them later and ran the shower. He stood there, letting the water splash over him for five minutes before he grabbed some soap and started to wash the night from his body.

By the time he had gotten put the shower and dressed he was fully awake and pissed. His bloody editor hadn't called him and hope he had to go down to their base across town with his papers. He grumbled something rude under his breath and stormed to his office grabbing papers this way and that. Finally he had collected everything he needed and got into his car to head off to his office.

Takashi arrived at the building 15 minutes later having had enough time to calm down slightly helossened his tie a bit more, he really had it done up properly, and undid the first button off his shirt. Papers under his arm he quickly locked the car and walked into the office. He stroked into his editor office slamming the door shut behind him. He slammed his hands on the desk along with the papers "you! You were many to call me last night!!" He nearly shouted he hated having lazy editors "I know you bloody hate me for reason i still, for the life of me, cant fathom out, but could you at least put that aside while we work!!" His anger was getting the better of him and he knew he shouldn't because he wasn't really that angry he just knew that if he didnt make a point of himself he would be forgotten and shoved under the carpet like he usually was.

Karou had just laid his head back onto his desk when he felt something slam down onto it. A sound somewhere between a yelp and a squeak escaped him as he jerked upright, almost falling out of his chair as his eyes wheeled around wildly, panicked thoughts that he had somehow managed to find out where he worked as well running through his head. When he saw it was only his writer he released a shaky breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He looked up at the enraged man before looking away, knowing his eyes were bloodshot and he had dark circles under them.

 

"I'm sorry. I was tired when I got home and fell asleep." He said softly.

Takashi's eyes narrowed as he looked upon his editor, he felt a little sorry for the man who had obviously had a horrendous night and a day that looked as if it had started badly too. He felt he needed to continue shouting a bit more, if he didn't he would eventually be known as the man who was angry for a few seconds and finally he would be once again ignored as he always had been as a child in his 8 person family. But he looked at Karou and all his resolve disappeared, he didn't want to make this mans day any worse than it already was, there was no point other than for his own self comfort so he sighed rubbing his hand over his face.

"sorry." he said quietly "look i have the papers so why don't we look over them now and hope your puny brain and stupid eyes can make any sense of the writing even if it is blindingly obvious!" He knew he was being mean and he shouldn't have insulted the man like that but it raised his authority slightly, something he knew he would need to survive.

Karou flinched slightly at the insult but made no remark to defend himself. He was simply too tired to put up a fight. He sighed and stood up, walking over to shut the door to his office; Hikaru having already left when Takashi stormed in. He motioned for the other man to sit down in the other chair in his office as he returned to his own seat, once again rubbing his eyes in a vain attempt to wake up slightly.

Takshi pulled the chair over to sit next to Karou, immediately making the assumption that the other male would not object to his choice of places to sit since he fund it annoying to discuss ideas and keep having to turn the paper around if they sat opposite each other. he handed the papers to his editor, giving him the papers from the story he had been writing the previous night along with the first five pages that he had written. All the notes and writing was done by hand in a dark green ink.

"well here you go, these are the papers for my latest novel, complete with the plot line and the first part of chapter one, although how the book will end is yet to be decided, i never make such major decisions until most of thee book is written." he explained.
