He is fun to be with, and outgoing, and his smile is like a bright and warm sun on a cloudy, cold day. However, at times his darker side can take over, making him sadistic, cold, and cruel. When he is like this, he doesn't care about anything or anyone, and seeing other in pain is somewhat of a turn on for him. He revels in the sight of blood, and will go out of his way to see the crimson liquid pour. Kuroi tries his hardest to keep his more evil side under control, but it can be quite a challenge at times.

Background: Unknown. Even to Kuroi, nothing is known of his background, as he suffers from a severe case of amnesia

Abilities: Manipulation of the elements, transformation, mind reading and control (though he doesn't use it that often), becoming invisible, and flight. He's also a good fighter with weapons or hand to hand, and is fast, agile, and quite the acrobat.

Likes: Listening to music, playing the piano, singing, drawing, being with friends

Dislikes: His darker side, being lonely, being distrusted or disliked because of what he has within himself

It was midnight, and the moon in the sky was full, it's silvery glow lighting a path for a silent figure that was gliding with a sort of beautiful grace, making their way along the rooftops and walls of the city. All that could be made out of the figure at that moment was their silvery hair, their body was clothed in a pitch black skin tight suit, black gloves and boots, and a mask that covered their lower face, the top of the mask reaching to the middle of their nose. Silvery blue eyes glowed beneath long bangs, and what little skin could be seen glowed slightly, as the person's skin was quite pale.

Upon the person's back were two long blades, and at their hip was a belt with daggers lined around the entire thing. The person was a male, and a very handsome one at that. His name? Kuroi Yuki, but most knew him as Storm or Shadow, but his friends called him Snow. Kuroi jumped from the roof he was on, and down onto a wall that separated the town from the wilderness. He was silent as he moved along, as if he was nothing more than a mere extension of the night, of the shadows.

What was he doing? He was following someone, someone who had something very important that he needed. Also, that particular someone was on his agenda, as even though Kuroi was a high class mage...on the side he was a mercenary, an assassin... And this unfortunate soul had death written on him when Kuroi was called upon to take him out. "Oh well, guess life is just like that. You give some and take some, that's the way it is with the world..." He mutters quietly to himself.

What he didn't see was the figure that was in the distance, sitting on top of a roof a few blocks from where he was. He didn't know that, once he killed the man he was following, the figure would confront him...He didn't know that when the figure did that, the wheel of fate would begin to turn, slowly at first, but it would turn none-the-less. Least of all did he know...that love was something that he would feel, something he hadn't felt in such a long, long time.

The man he was following reaches his house, and goes inside, locking the door behind him. Kuroi smirks, locking it would do nothing to keep him from getting in. He drops silently to the ground below, and placing his hand on the lock, he sends a bit of water into the lock, then freezes it, breaking the lock and then opening the door, slipping inside quietly. On the outside of the building, all was quiet, before a blood-curdling scream fills the air, a slash of smooth metal against skin, a thud, and then silence once more.

Kuroi leaves the house almost as quickly as he entered, though this time he had a small box in his hand, and in his other, one of the two long, thin bladed katana was held, with blood dripping along the silvery blade. A few specks of blood was also splattered along his silver white hair, and his cheek. "Mission complete." He says to himself, and bends his knees, jumping up to the rooftops once more, the wind ruffling his hair gently, and beneath his mask, he was grinning.

Looking over the city Akihiko stood ontop of a building looking down at people and things before he finally caught what he had been looking for. The swift form in the distance his ears and eyes catching onto the man fairly easy for the enhanced senses they both had. He sighed softly and brushed his hair out of his face, He was a bounty hunter. He hunted men that either were to be on his hitlist or that the world itself felt were a threat to the human race below him.

He wore the usual outfit a long black coat that was leather hiding his tail from site. Though underneath he wore black pants along with some boots that were also black, he also wore a top that was cut to show his lower stomach and the belt around his waist which carried his guns and the thigh strap for his knife. He also wore a black chocker around his neck. Just the usual black for him and he sighed as the blades on his shoulders heated up as he breathed in. They were a direct source to his elemental power so when he wished the blades themselves would heat up. He didnt usually fight with the long blades on his back but usually the daggers hidden in pockets in his clothing.

He smiled softly and noticed the man jumping down and his ears twitched. Thats when he made his move as he jumped from the roof he was on to the next and the next till he was over looking the home still far away but still in running distance to the male. He sighed as he heard the scream his ears flattening against his head the black fur on them moving in the wind for on the job Akihiko did not hide them.

He saw the figure leave the house and start on the move again Akihiko decided to follow it to the next building before stopping him. He landed on the building one behind the man he was after. He smiled softly and ran jumping once more as he finally landed on the same roof as the other male. His ears twitched as he tilted his head moving his hair out of the way so he could see, "Hello...Yuki I assume? Or should I call you Shadow?" he asked as he stretched his arms over his head looking at the male waiting for him to notice him behind.

Kuroi was just about to jump to the next roof, when he hears a soft noise behind him, and a voice call out to him, it was a male's voice, and it seemed to know of his name. He stands straight, and slowly turns to face the person who had called out to him, his eyes glinting in the moon light, and his skin and hair glowing gently. For a moment he says nothing, only takes in the sight of the other male, before flicking his wrist, the tip of his sword glinting in the moon light, and the crimson droplets of blood fling off the blade with a graceful arch. With a flip of his hand, he places the sword upon his back, and slips the small box into a small pouch hanging from his belt.

Only then did he answer the person. "Shadow. Call me Shadow." How this man knew of Kuroi's name he didn't know, but that wasn't a really big deal, as he was quite well known in these parts. This male probably heard of him from people talking, that's all. But...why he was there, in the middle of the night, Kuroi didn't know. Coincidence? He noticed the ears and tail, but to Kuroi...that sort of thing wasn't all that impressive. Being a mage, he was used to all sorts of unusual beings and such.

"And who...might you be?" He asks, the eyes above his mask glinting with curiosity. "You sure aren't just a regular citizen, that's for sure." No, there was no way this person was normal...not at all. The way he stood there, and the swords upon his back...no, nothing about him was what one would call...normal

Akihito smiles and shrugs as he inclined his head listening to the last if what the other make had to say. He looked at him as his right eye was covered once more from the wind and he watched the man put his weapons away and Akihito relaxed some. He looked him over to his outfit to the mask around him he laughed softly, "my name is Akihito. I don't have a code name like you. Though many people refer to me as their death. I'm sort of like you..." He said leaning against the back of the door leading into the building.

"I kill people for a living just as you just did with that man about three miles back." He motioned to the direction but didn't really have to look to know he was right. "Though I don't kill people like him. I kill people that kill innocent human beings. Well precisely I kill people that need to be exterminated by the world itself." He said and let his coat open some for not moving in the wind was making him hot.

"I don't want to kill you...shadow. So...why don't I save you instead? When I don't come back with your head then the boss will get angry. I admire your work actually and that's why I don't want to end your life." He looked straight at the man. "They will come for you just as I have but they won't let you go. They will kill you on sight. And being the cowards they are they will jump you most likely with about two or more guys. Do you understand what I'm saying?" He asked as he walked slowly to the other male as to not freak him out.

"I don't want to hurt you. I don't hurt others that are like me. I can give you a hand. Keep you alive. Give you a second person to help fight off the five or six men that bring. It's not your time to die....when it is your time I'll kill you myself. Now we must go we can't stay here much longer many of them knew I wouldn't kill you. I'll explain when we get somewhere safe." He said and looked at the male his ears flat as he hear the door falls of men behind them on the buildings far away. "They are coming." He said as he turned to the men. "Either we wait or we stay. There are about twelve." He said looking at the older male for his decision.

Without saying anything, Kuroi lets this Akihiko say what he needed to say, a smile beginning to form upon his lips. So...they think they could kill him huh? Well, they were wrong. But for some reason Akihiko didn't think they were, and thought that somehow those losers could kill him. If Kuroi wanted to, he could obliterate this entire town with one spell. But he liked this place too much to do something so pointless. Finally the other stopped talking, and before he pointed out that men were coming, Kuroi already knew that. He had many "spy eyes" set around the place, a spell that allowed him to see many places at once.

He crosses his arms over his chest, and bows his head. He could feel his darker side coming upon him, but this time he didn't hold it back. When he opened his eyes once more to look at Akihiko, his eyes would be a blood red, with dark red rings around slitted pupil's. He reaches up, and hooks the top of his mask with his finger, pulling it down from over his face. He grins, and sharp teeth glint in the moonlight. "Let me tell you something kiddy boy. If you've ever heard anything, anything at all, about Kuroi Yuki, then surely you've heard that he can take care of himself. I've been in a lot tougher situations then being jumped by twelve fucking morons."

He laughs slightly. "And yet, even so, you think YOU can protect me? Maybe you can, but truth be told, I can fend for myself. It's them who should be afraid now, since you've told me this..." His hands move from his sides, palms upward. Lightning and fire began to crackle at his fingertips and around his hands, and then it spreads to around his entire body. "I don't want to hurt you. I don't hurt others that are like me. I can give you a hand. Keep you alive. Give you a second person to help fight off the five or six men that bring. It's not your time to die....when it is your time I'll kill you myself." Kuroi mocks. "Ha, I'd like to see you try to kill me! As if!"

He glances over at the men who were coming. For now he just wanted to get away, so he could put the item he had taken in a safe place. But... "Ahhh...Fuck it." A large fireball forms in both his hands, with electricity coursing through out it and ringing around the fire like some sort of ring. He throws it at the men, and with a huge blast, they all are set on fire, immobilized by the electricity. With that, Kuroi grins at Akihiko, before turning in a tight circle, and with a blast of black fire, he disappears from view, only to have the flames die down and a huge black wolf appears from within. It spins around, and takes off, moving with a speed most wolves didn't have.

If that Akihiko really meant what he said, there was no doubt that the guy would follow. Not that Kuroi really thought much of it. Within a few minutes, he was at the edge of town, and exiting the gates, making his way through the trees that bordered the land. He knew where he was going, he had a secret place that he went to often, it was only about fifteen miles out of the town, in a cave that was well hidden. He doesn't look back to see if Akihiko was following or not, but concentrates on where he was going.

Akihiko crouched only to watch shadow do the spells he had only heard of. He saw the things he admired if him. He always wanted to use magic but was unable to because the only element he possessed was fire. He saw him change shape and he looked at him then to the men as he stood straight once more. He watched the men a moment all the comrades he had killed in one move. He looked behind him seeing shadow running off, "shit"

He ran off after the man his ears moving to the sounds around him as he checked to make sure no one else was around him. He sighed softly wishing that shadow would stop running from him he only wanted to help. He was one of the best swordsman around and knew that even if he didn't want the help that Akihiko knew he could do something for him.

He caught a glimpse of him through the trees as he fell from the last building to the ground and he smiled as he moved again running after the male easily as he closed the gap coming up close behind him. The demon blood in him allowing him to do so. He looked across from him and laughed softly before he fell back some following as usual.

It didn't take long before Kuroi reached the place where he had been heading, which was a cave hidden from view, near a large lake and a clearing. To most, the cave just looked like a huge rock, with no entrances at all. It had a beautiful view, and flowers grew in the field. He slows down to a quick walk, before the shadows flash around him once more, returning his body to his human shape. He could sense that Akihiko was still following, and he didn't mind, just as long as he didn't tell anyone of this particular place.

Reaching the side of the cave, Kuroi pauses and glances around, before reaching out and placing his palm upon the stone, the entrance to the cave melting into view. He smiles, and goes inside, and once he was fully in, the entrance would begin to shrink. After about five minutes it would disappear completely, so if Akihiko wanted in, he'd have to hurry.

Kuroi sighs, and looks around him at the place he was currently calling home. On the outside it may look like a regular cave, but inside it was like a small mansion, with several halls leading to different rooms. The room he was in now was the living room, and it was really nice, with a fancy rug, two chairs and a couch, with a table. Plants were all around as well, and pictures hung from the walls. Several candles of many shapes and sizes stood around, or hung from the ceiling, unlit, but with a flick of his wrist, Kuroi lights them with a bright white fire, so that the room was lit.

He continues to the hall, and makes his way down it, turning right in to his room. It was just as fancy as the living room, with a large bed, a closet, a desk, and a chair that sat next to a huge bookshelf, where many books were lined up. They were all fancy looking, big and small, and most of them had runic designs that only Kuroi knew how to read. Setting the package upon the desk, Kuroi takes off the swords from his back and hangs them up on a hook on the wall, then takes off his belt and hangs it as well. Stripping of his black suit, gloves and boots, he proceeds to put on a white loose fitting shirt that showed a lot of his chest and tied up the sleeves, and a white pair of low fitting pants. Around his neck was a silver chain, and hanging from it was a red ruby.

Taking a washcloth from a basin that was set on a small table, he washes the blood from his hair and his cheek, before brushing his hair and then taking a deep breath and sighing softly. He thinks back to what that Akihiko guy had said, and frowns. Why was he wanted dead? That was his only question. It was confusing...was this guy who was after him scared of his powers? That probably was the deal...not many could rival his powers, that much was true. And also, if they knew of what he had as a trump card...they'd try to kill him even more often. He sits on the edge of his bed, and frowns, pondering what had happened.

Akihiko finally stopped perched in a tree watching shadow shift back to his handsome human form and he watched him walk up to the cave that looked so empty and his ears twitched as he heard the cave entrance move with one touch of shadows hand. He smiles softly and he watched as the beautiful male walked into the open entrance. Soon as he was in it started to shrink ever so slightly and Akihiko waited till shadow was out if his sight to run as fast as he could for the entrance was shrinking fast. He still had just a little ways to go and he pushed harder on himself. He dropped to a slide as he slid I to the small entrance he had to match and he looked up into the big room he had entered. He heard a thud as the door closed behind him.

He looked up into the large room as he took on his surroundings. It was a home. He was in shadows home when he thought it would be some type of hideout not his house. He stood easily as he pulled his coat back over his shoulders covering his body once more rather than showing everyone. He moved around slowly to not make noise even tho he knew the man probably already knew he was there. He walked around the home from room to room seeig the plants and small priceless items that covered everything. He laughed softly as he saw two double doors in which were closed. He moved to then leaving the bedroom he had been at.

He threw open the doors and his eyes widened in happiness as he saw a grand ballroom complete with a piano on the side. He walked in looking up at the amazing art on the curling the people and things brighter than ever. This was the first time he has seen so much money in one place. He grew up obviously not as wealthy as shadow did. He smiled and saw another set of double doors as he walked that way his footsteps echoing over the large empty ballroom. He frowned as he wished he could go back to the piano and play it. He didn't want to leave it there he wanted to fill the empty room with music.

He opened the door and came to a large dinning room making him gasp slightly looking around at the long wooden table that sat in the middle of the room. He ran his finger over the smooth wood before he moved on to the next room coming to the conclusion that shadow was very wealthy.

After sitting there for a few moments, Kuroi got up from the bed, and slipped on a pair of black flats, much like the ones that girls wore, but not as...girly. They were plain black, and were comfortable. He leaves the bedroom, and pauses by the door, his hand on the wall as he closes his eyes, and tries to sense where Akihiko was. After a moment, he does find the other male, who was currently in the dining room. A small smile forms upon his lips, and he makes his way towards that room.

Once there, he pauses at the large door, and leans against the frame, his arms crossed loosely over his chest, and his head tilted slightly. He watches Akihiko for a moment, before speaking up. "Nice isn't it?" He calls, smiling over at Akihiko. "All this took years of hard work to achieve, so if you're thinking of me being a wealthy person from the get-go...forget it. I was poor when I was young, much poorer than you most likely. I was an orphan, and I lived on the streets. But that's all I remember. Why I was an orphan and had no family...I haven't the slightest clue."

He stands up straight, and walks over to the table, standing across from where Akihiko was. His own fingers run along the back of the mahogany chair, tracing the vine and flower design that was etched into the dark wood. "Yes...for most of my life I worked and worked, sweat and blood and tears...It was hard. But, through all that, I got to where I am now. The King's most favored mage, and quite popular throughout the entire town. But yet...it seems that even so, there is someone trying to tear me down. Why is that?"

He walks over to the other side, and stands behind Akihiko, and letting his hand reach forward, tracing the tip of his long, delicate and pale fingers along Akihiko's cheek, as well as the bottom of his lip, and the edge of his jaw. He then takes a small bunch of Akihiko's hair in his hand, letting the strands slip between his fingers, falling back to the others head. He leans forward, so that his lips were right next to Akihiko's ear, and smiles before whispering something in his ear. "Tell me...why is it that someone like you would want to help me? Weren't you set to kill me too?" He laughs softly. "And yet you let me live."

Akihiko smiled softly as he turned looking at Shadow he didnt get to really say anything as the male went on and Akihiko walked closer to him so he could hear him better and he smiled softly as his ears moved with his voice. He watched the male as Akihiko's eyes looked over the male as he watched him walk over to him. He blushed lightly as he heard him talking his smooth voice running over the room. Akihiko leaned against the table facing Shadow. He didnt know what he was going to do but what the male did wasnt what he was guessing. He was surprised to feel the other male touch his cheek in a soft caress. He thought he was going to hurt him rather than the soft touch he recieved.

He blushed as he held his breath hearing and feeling Shadows lips against his ear as he spoke. Akihiko pushed lightly against Shadows chest, "Well...someone is out to kill you...I dont know who but I do know how they plan to capture you. That is why I think you need my help. I know how to kill the men that are coming after you. And I have an idea on who it is but i'm not completely sure...also...I think I can be of use to you in some way. It doesnt matter what but i'm sure I can help in some way and be of use to you." he said as he looked up at Shadow the small height difference and the fact he was leaning up against something making him have to look up at him. His tail wrapped around his thigh as he looked away before his ears flattened as the silance played on. "I know you think I'm not worth anything and that I cant do anything but I am really good with weapons. Any type I can use like its an extension of me. I'm the best swordsman around people flock to me to have me do their work for them because they are afraid they will die doing it. When really nothing they send me to is hard. Just I can help you I'm not sure how yet but I know I can." he said and looked up at Shadow once more as he had pleading in his eyes.

He didnt have anywere to go now that he had betrayed his work and they probably are checking his home flipping it over to get all the weapons, if they can find them, and finding all the things he holds valuable. He didnt have a home anymore and he really needed money a job that payed. Though he would work here just to stay at the home rather than get money. He had no where to sleep if Shadow threw him out into the streets. He just hoped he was as kind as people made him out to be.

"A use for you huh?" He murmurs, taking a hold of Akihiko's chin with his forefinger and thumb, and turning the other so they were face to face. Kuroi tilts his own head slightly, his hair falling gently in his face, as he contemplated the idea of Akihiko being there with him, and doing things for him. He studies Akihiko's face, gently turning it from side to side, then down and then up, as if observing some prized piece of art. His other hand was at his own face, his forefinger pressed against his cheek, and his thumb running along the line of his jaw.

His eyes twinkle gently, and smile forms. "What to do with you? You're too damn cute for your own good..." Kuroi sighs softly, before releasing his grip upon Akihiko's face. He then places his hand on his hip, and tilts his head the other way. "Yep, that's it. You can stay here if you don't have anywhere to go." He smiles brightly, and then laughs, his voice more beautiful than birds singing or bells from a music box. "Would you like to stay? If so, I have an extra room you can use."

He blinks just then, when a low grumbling could be heard, and looks down. He blushes, and rubs his stomach. "Eh, hehe, looks like it's food first, then chat. I'll make you something as well!" He then leaves the room, that handsome and bright smile still upon his lips. He hums to himself as he goes into a room that was connected to the dining room, which turned out to be the kitchen. Using a small flame from his finger, he lights two of the four spots upon the stone stove, and sets a kettle on one, and a sauce pan on the other.

It didn't take long before the food was ready, and it was enough to make anyone drool from how good it smelled. He had made steak, green beans dipped in light butter, yams, and butter top rolls. He puts a bit of food on each plate, and then goes out, setting the plates down on the table, as well as silverware and tea cups. He looks up, and smiles as the water began to boil, and returns to the kitchen, to turn of the stove and fires on top. He picks up the kettle, and once more goes into the dining room, pouring hot water into the cups. He then closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and mutters a few words, the water in the cups turning a deep reddish purple, and the scent was amazing. "ALL DONE!!!" He announces, and then begins to laugh.

Akihiko blushed softly as the male checked his face moving it up and down to his own liking. He looked up at him and was surprised at the bright smile that crossed the mans features. Making him smile in return. He wanted to help him cook but it was surprisingly done before he could help. He shrugged out of his coat and he moved the tight shirt he wore which exposed his lower stomach and the tight pants as well which were comfy for him. He moved the gloves he had been wearing as he sighed making it so the fingers were only cut half way so he could only have the glove over his palm. He smiled softly and he sat down as he waited patianly for his host.

"So...Yuki...can I call you that? I feel weird calling you Shadow..." he said as he brought the food in he looked up at him hopeing to catch an answer before he left again. He sighed as he left once more and shurgged he would just call him that from now on. He smiled as he moved his tail around the legs of his chair as his nose worked smelling the food and he held his hand over his own stomach as he heard it growl also. He looked around and stood once more before he moved around the room to stay less bored and his tail moved between his legs as he smiled softly hearing the laughing coming from the other room. He hoped the clothes he wore didnt both the other male. Akihiko liked showing off the built body he had. He played with his tail holding it in his hands before letting it go and leaning against the chair he would sit at. "HURRY UP!!" He smiled and laughed softly before his ears worked hearing the percise moves that Shadow was making in the other room so he knew how close he was to being finished.

He returns to the dining room, holding to cups of tea with each hand, and sets them at both spots. "Okay, all done." He sits down, and then looks at Akihiko, and smiles. "Oh, and to answer your question earlier, you can call me Yuki or Kuroi, Yuki is my last name. But...you can only call me that if I can call you Aki." He smiles again, before motioning for Akihiko to sit down, and then picks up his fork, and taking a bite of his food. "Ah...food..." He says happily, smiling as bit by bit, his stomach began to fill with food. He hadn't eaten in three days, since the mission he had been on took the whole time.

After finishing the roll he was working, he reaches for another, and looks to Akihiko. "So...what is it that you can do? Besides weapons of course. Can you use magic?" He could tell from the chakras within Akihiko that he had very little, but there was some at least. It looked like he had fire chakra... "I'm going to take a wild guess...and say you can use fire, but nothing else. Am I correct?" He smiles at Akikiko, and takes a bite from the roll, his eyes wide and back to their normal blue from earlier, when they had been red and slitted. He waits patiently for a reply, not wanting to make Akihiko feel as if he were being interrogated.

Akihiko smiled and laughed softly, "mm well then I like the name yuki so...if you see it necessary that you call me Aki then go ahead. I don't mind. And as for the magic yea...just fire even tho I wish it was more than that. I channel it through my weapons rather than using it through my hands." He said his weapons still on him for he didn't really know where to put them except the only ones he had removed were the blades in his back.

"That's why I like watching you work. I like the spells and such you use...I think magic is beautiful." He said as he sat down his fork his small stomach full already bit really liking the food. He was fond of sweets more than salty things. He looked at yuki. "So you live here all alone? No help at all? A lot of people that love in big homes have maids and cooks. Tho I think I like your food it's really good. Thank you for making some I hadn't eaten in a long time." He laughed softly his ears twitching as he heard something.

"You are a very hard person to find yuki. It took me three days to track you well. I'm skilled in stealth, weaponry, and tracking mostly. That's why I was usually hired by the king to sniff out the criminals he wanted me to dispose of. I did a lot of under cover work usually as anything the men wanted from prostitutes to a helper. I have played everything in the book just to get what I need. Tho I haven't been a prostitute, my last job after I killed you would have been undercover and I would have worked at a male brothel. The boss said I was the only one for for the job so that's a reason I quit. I feel you shouldn't give your body to someone you don't feel is worth it. And I don't think you should lower yourself to that level." He said as he blushes noticing how much he was talking. "Sorry..I just that subject makes me want to talk on and on. I didn't like the undercover work but it was the only thing I was ever good at. And that's how I got the money for food usually." He said as he looked down his ears flat as he looked at the nice tableware and his fingers sitting atop the nice wood of the table.

He felt dirty like the nice things were mocking him. He felt as if the place he was in was meant for only people that didn't have dirt and grim under their nails that were beautiful just like yuki. Someone that could pull off the very outfit yuki was wearing now. He sighed lightly and took a drink. He just didn't feel home. He had only known the rags in which showed his body and the clothes that he was only barely able to afford. He looked at yuki and wished he would talk rather than let him think about this.

Kuroi folds his hands in front of him, all thoughts about eating having disappeared as he watches Akihiko talk about many things, mostly his job and what he did for that job. To Kuroi, it was interesting to listen to, and it was obvious how interested he was in listening to Aki's words just by the look in his eyes. He had a smile on his lips, and his head was tilted slightly to the side, something he had a habit of doing when he was truly into something, like this conversation for example. He could hear the bitterness in Aki's voice, he could sense the conviction and the beliefs that ran deep within the words that flowed from Aki's mouth. Yes, even though this man before him may look uneducated and lower class, there was something...royal about him either way.

His fingers linked together, and his elbows resting on the table, he looks at Aki as the other falls silent. His hands were in front of his lower face, and for a moment he says nothing, only continues to study Aki silently. He had said quite a lot, and Kuroi had learned quite a bit just from that. He closes his eyes for a moment, a tranquil look on his flawless face, the two small snowflakes at the outer corner of his eyes glistening and glittering from the candles that Kuroi had lit on the table, as well as the chandelier that hung from the ceiling. Silence continued to surround them, and for a moment it seemed that Kuroi had fallen asleep.

But then he opens his eyes again, and smiles. "You are quite interesting Aki. Very interesting indeed. The way you talk about things...the way you speak how you feel, it's intriguing. Mystifying even..." He lowers his hands to the table, and runs a long slender finger around the rim of his china teacup. He stares into the cup, and taps the side of the cup, so that the contents shiver slightly. Once more silence falls. He continues to stare into the cup, as if he was watching something that only he could see. His face was gentle looking, the only emotion that could be seen was an overwhelming sense of calm. It was amazing to see how calm his face looked, for most men couldn't be as calm as he was these days. He looked...almost not of this world, as if he was some being, transcended from the heavens.

He takes a deep breath, and looks up at Aki once again. "You need not fear me, nor do you need to fear not belonging here. You fear that, someone like you, doesn't have a right to be here...Well, it is my house, and I say you are more than welcome. Not many get the right to see the insides of my walls and left, alive that is. Many have entered, but none leave with their life. But you, I trust you, and you will have every right to live here. Just as long as you promise not to tell anyone of this place. Only the king and a few nobles know of the location, and even they cannot get in. For this is my place of rest, my place where I feel safest. Sure it may seem to be the home of a rich and uncaring nobleman, but to me...it's not. It's my safe place, my hideout. My home." He stands up, and reaches for the empty plates and such, gathering them in his arms. "And it can be your home too..."

Akihiko blushes lightly and listened to yuki as he spoke and then he just watched. As the beautiful man sat there silently the small snowflakes that Akihiko hadn't noticed till now were glowing it seemed. He watched as the male seemed to catch akihikos breath mid air as he watched the male close his eyes easily and he looked so peaceful. Seemed to be asleep yet the rise and fall of Yukis chest had not changed from the pace it had been moments before. He smiled softly as the other started to talk once more and the soft peaceful silence that had surrounded them was broken by the soft paced and the low voice filled the space.

Akihiko stood as the other did and he started picking up his things. "Thank you...so much for letting me stay with you yuki." He smiled brightly and followed the other to the kitchen as he puts the Irtysh plates in the sink. He looked at yuki looking the male over from the tops of his shoulders to his lower back and he sighed bringing his eyes away again as he pulled his gloves back over his knuckles. "Only problem with loving here. I don't have any clothes. The people coming after you are probably going to my home and taking the small things I do own. Tho I need to go back I hide my weapons on my house. No one knows were they are but I need to retrieve them or get new ones." He said looking over at yuki as he leaned against the counter.

Retreating to the kitchen, Kuroi places the dishes in the stone sink, and steps aside so Akihiko could place the things that he had picked up in the sink as well. Once all the dishes and such were there, Kuroi simply taps the side of the basin, and hot, bubbly soap water appears from no where. He raises his hand, and a washcloth appears in it, and then he begins to wash the dishes. He listens to what Akihiko says, about needing clothing and going back to get his weapons.

For a moment he says nothing, but concentrates on washing a plate, before he pauses, and looks over his shoulder at Akihiko. "Well, if you give me a little time I can create a portal so we can get to your house, in and out in less than five minutes, and no one would be any wiser...See, this portal I can create is untraceable, so even those who can track magic can't find it." He turns back to the sink, and rinses off the plate. "When I'm done with the dishes we can go...okay?"

It didn't take that long for him to finish, and one tap with his finger on the side of the sink, and the water was gone just as quickly as it had appeared, the whole thing bone dry even though seconds earlier there had been water in it. He stretches, and dries his hands on a towel, before turning to Akihiko. "Okay...so, you ready?" He asks, before heading out of the kitchen, and motioning for Akihiko to follow. He leads the other down the hall, through many doors, and soon comes upon a dark black door, which had strange runic symbols upon it.

When he opened the door, it would reveal a large circular room, with a strange sort of round object in the middle, that had a stream of light running from the ceiling to the floor. It was multicolored, and ever changing, shimmering much like that of an Aurora in the arctic sky. Along the walls were shelves that were filled with many leather books, all of them having the same runic symbols as the door. All sorts of magical items and rather strange looking things were around, sitting on shelves, hanging on the walls or from the ceilings, sitting on tables. It was Kuroi's magic room, where he practiced and studied his magic in private. A large, ornate full body mirror sat at the far wall, the glass upon it was strange as it wasn't reflective like a regular mirror, instead it was black in color, and had a smoke like substance to it. Kuroi walks over to the mirror, and motions for Akihiko to come with him. "So...you ready?"

Akihiko picked himself up and pulled to sit up on the counter. He watched the man as he seemed to materialize water out of nowhere and use it to clean the dishes. He was happy that Yuki was willing to help him get his things. He looked the male over as he thought. Yuki was attractive to him. Thought that wasn't the only thing, he wondered why the beautiful mans eyes were now blue instead of the red tinged ones he had before. He wondered how many spells the man knew and he wondered why he didn't remember anything about his past. At all. He looked over at him as he played with the small flame he had appear on his fingertips. It was his favorite thing to do and he did it without thinking when he was thinking. He looked into the flame as his thoughts ran wild. He sighed softly as he ran his fingers into the flame.

He didn't know why yuki was being so nice when just an hour or so before he was throwing fire and lightning at men with red eyes. He sighed again as he barely caught the mans words, he looked up and smiled as the flame disappeared, "Uh yea. I'm ready to go. Whenever you are." he said and smiled as Yuki finished the dishes and when he tapped the end of the sink and the water left making akihiko look into the sink a moment. The envy that he usually felt when people did magic around him crept into his chest. He looked away and blew the hair the had moved into his face. He followed yuki hesitantly as he moved down the hallway.

Akihiko sighed softly again as he felt his arms get cold from the fact he left his coat back in the dinning room. He stopped at the door to the large room that yuki finally stopped at. His ears flattened as he felt he didn't want to go into the room. He looked up at Yuki and smiled softly seeing him ushering him into the room. He walked to Yuki his tail wrapping around his own waist and his ears back still as he felt cold and alone. He looked up at Yuki, "What is it?" he asked as he looked scared slightly. He was a coward to some things and he didn't know what this was. Not only that but he hated the dark. It was one of the things he was scared of. He pulled Yuki slightly touching the male for the first time as he stepped behind him his smaller body fitting behind him easily as Yuki hid his body from the black misty mirror. He peeked slightly around Yuki as the mirror seemed to move. "We aren't going in there are we…?" He said softly as he looked up at yuki a blush on his cheeks as he noticed he was touching the mage for the first time.

Kuroi blinks in surprise when Akihiko moves to hide behind him, he could feel Aki's fingers touching his back just barely, though they were there. He smiles softly when he was asked if they were going into the "mirror" and he nods. "Yes, we are. Don't worry, there is nothing to be afraid of." He steps closer to the mirror, and takes a firm grip on Aki's upper arm. "Come on." He then steps into the mirror, the shadows moving like a curtain, and once they were all the way in, it wasn't dark at all. In fact, it was light, like day time. He turns to look at Aki, and smiles. "See, it isn't so bad is it?"

He then raises his free hand, opening his palm upward, and a sort of glowing purple pentagram forms over his head. It had strange symbols on it, and Kuroi began to mutter words at a rapid pace. His eyes were closed, and after a moment, he closes his hand, the symbols that had appeared disappearing in a flash, as if being crushed by Kuroi's hand. A moment later, and a door appears in front of them, with the same kind of runes as the symbols. "Come." Kuroi mutters, and opens the door, which led straight into Aki's house. Strange thing was, there were people inside, though...they looked as if they were stopped...frozen in time. A blurred look was everywhere.

"Okay, so we don't have much time. I was able to use a spell to stop time continuance here, so that's why everything looks so weird. We have...five minutes to get what you need, and walk back through that door before time becomes normal again. Alright? Do you understand?" Kuroi looks at Aki, and then smiles. "Let's go." He starts to pick up things, like clothing, hoping that Aki knew the importance of the time. If they weren't careful, they'd be caught for sure.

Akihiko looked unsure as he snatched Yukis free hand as he was pulled into the dark mirror he closed his eyes and didn't open them till he heard yuki talk once more. He opened an eye then the other his grip tightening around Yukis fingers for he had caught them instead of hazing him touch his arm. He looked up at him his ears lifting as the purpleish light imitated from Yukis hand and he smiled lightly looking at yuki who looked beautiful against the color. His pale skin contrasting with the darker color making it look like his skin was glowing.

Akihiko followed yuki into the new portal as he walked into his own home. He saw the people frozen in time as yuki started explaining things. He looked at him and his ears twitched as he heard something moving. He didn't stay to listen to yuki he knew they didn't have a lot of time yuki told him while he was finishing the dishes. He walked to his room his ears moving more now. He rushed to his bed as he pushed it easily the bed not making him have any problems he kneeled to the door which was covered by clothes. "Yuki!" He yelled for yuki and moved the clothes to the side hem being some of his favorites and a lot of night clothes mostly just long shorts to sleep in. He pulled open the hatch and he didn't wait for yuki as he dropped down into his weaponry. He smiled as all of his things were where he left them. He walked to the three long swords on the wall and slipped them over his shoulders on to his back as he moved parting his legs wrapping a thigh sheath around his upper thigh along with another to his other.

He picked up the daggers in the side if the table which started glowing once he touched them and he smiled as he slipped the belt that held them around his waist. He could hear things above him but didn't know what really. He picked up the chest holder for two pistols and he slipped his arms into the straps fitting it around his back feeling the comfortable weight of the guns in his ribs. He went to his drawer and pulled out other things that he may need each doing so as his fingers touched then glowed a faint red or yellow and as he breathed the color would get brighter as the weapons were attached to him.

He looked around seeing he had almost everything and he smiled as he walked to the closet getting his favorite long coat as he slipped it on over the weapons and he rushed up the stairs quickly. He had about three minutes or less he looked around searching the room and he spotted the necklace on the dresser and he ran jumping over his bed landing easily as he picked up the silver chain slipping it onto his neck along with covering his neck with the black chicken he liked the most that had an outer side of metal. He looked behind him and left the room as he searched the living room not seeing yuki. "Yuki!" He yelled again his ears and right eye searching as his right eye started to see easily through the things and people.

Through narrowed eyes, Kuroi watches as Akihiko takes off towards what he supposed was the others room. He waits til Aki was out of sight, before leaving the living room, and going to one of the rooms connected to it. His darker side was once again threatening to take over, and he lets it, his eyes once more glowing red. He smirks, and goes over to one of the men that was standing there, his eyes looking into some unseen place. "Such a pity...you have to die." Kuroi says, smirking, before pulling a dagger from his pocket and slitting the man's throat. Blood seeps everywhere, and even though the man's neck had been cut open, he remains standing, though by the time returned to normal...he would be dead.

Kuroi slips from man to man, slitting each of their throats, and on one man who looked like a commander, he reaches into the man's front shirt pocket, pulling out something quite intriguing. It was a silver pocket watch, with HIS insignia on it...the snowflake. He frowns, and stabs the man in the head, before slipping the pocket watch into his own pocket, and moving on to the next room. Soon, the house was filled with fifteen dead men, all unaware that the next moment when time returned, they would be dead.

He could hear Aki call to him, and he curses, slipping the dagger back in his pocket, and hurrying to the living room, his feet stepping in puddles of blood. He could see that Aki was ready to go, and without saying a word, he grabs onto Aki's wrist, not letting him take the chance to see the things that he had done. His grip was rough, and blood was wiped onto Aki's skin and clothing, from the crimson that was on Kuroi's fingers. "Let's go." He pulls Aki through the door, and they were soon in the white room once again, the door behind melting away slowly. "Five...four...three...two...one..." He could hear screams and thuds as time returned to normal, and the men instantly died. He grins, and then turns away, the door now gone. Exiting through the shadow door, the once again stood in the circular room. "Did you get everything?" Kuroi asks, his eyes normal again.

Akihiko looked around the room and he saw the blood before he saw anything else. He slipped the dagger out of the sheath from his thigh and he leaned down slightly looking at the mans throat. He sighed and gasped as he felt a hand grab his wrist and he was pulled back into the home yuki owned but it wasn't before he had seen the men dead in his living room. He felt the wet moisture on his wrist and he pulled away from yuki as he looked at him. "Why? Why kill them when they didn't do anything. We could have been on and out without anything happening." He said as he sheathed the knife as he saw blood seeping through Yukis shirt. He got worried instantly and his ears flattened as he went over to him and touched his hip slightly. "Are you bleeding yuki!" He asked as he looked up at him.

He uncovered looking under the shirt and saw it was a knife and he let the short fall from his fingers as his ears flattened against but this time in fear. "Yuki...why did you kill those men?" He said as he straightened his face hard lost of all emotion. He didn't wait for an answer he sighed and left the creepy room. He walked down the hall they had taken to get here and he tuned down a different one. He sighed as he looked at his wrists not liking the color. He knew those men didn't need to die. He noticed a group of double doors that looked familiar and he opened them and smiles as he entered the ballroom he shrugged off his jacket as he left it on the steps. He didn't look at his arms instead he walked to the piano that seemed to be so lonely.

He ran his fingers over the hard black wood as he slowly say down at the bench. He opened the kid and smiled as he let his long slender fingers run over the white keys. He breathed in and out before he placed his fingers over the keys and he smiled as he started playing something. It was a song he remembered from when he was a young boy which his grandmother had written. He closed his eyes as his body stepped into the music as he let himself go. All the anger from yuki all the stress and pain in his body left him as he played the soft sad beat of the song. He didn't notice how long it had been since he played it yet it was perfect.

He opened his eyes once the last notes ring ended I. The halls as he felt the wind touch the tears that streaked his face. His grandmother passed away many years ago and it made him remember her. He sighed and he looked down at the keys which were now clean from his fingers dancing across them. Along with the water from his tears that had slipped down into the keys. He laughed softly and wiped his eyes. He wanted to hold that sound in his hand hold the dance that he imagined with that song as he imagined dancers dancing around and around in big dresses and outfits as the music played over and over around the beautiful men and women.

Kuroi does not answer Akihiko, but instead stands there, silent. He had his reasons for killing those men, he had only been planning on killing the three in that one room...but once he had found the pocket watch...he had lost control. His hand slips into his pocket, his fingers gently caressing the silver rounded object, the slender chain that it hung from smooth to the touch. He bows his head, but not from shame. No, he felt no remorse for what he did, as those men weren't the kings...they were enemy men, and they had to die. It was kill or be killed...

He watches as Aki walks out of the room, and he makes no effort in following after Aki. Instead, he stays where he was, and once the other male was gone, he closes the door and locks it, using a special seal so that even Aki, who most likely was a master lock picker, could not open it. Only when this was done did he pull out the pocket watch out, holding it up in front of him, the silver of the watch glistening and reflecting the light from the stream of light in the center of the room. The opalescent etching of the snowflake on the front glistens, and he frowns. "Why did they have this? I gave this to the king...so why did they have it?"

He sets it down on the table, before walking over to one of the many bookshelves lining the wall, tracing his fingers long the backs of the books until he finds what he was looking for, pulling it out and turning the pages slowly. He leans against the wall, staring at the runes that only he could read, and frowns, before closing the book and returning it to the shelf. He stands there for a few moments, before undoing the seal on the door and leaving the room, locking it behind, using the same seal as before.

In the distance he could hear the piano in the ball room being played, and he smiles slightly. It was a nice melody...He walks towards the sound, and soon enters too see that Aki was playing the piano. He quietly slips in to the room, having changed his shirt to something that wasn't stained with blood. He waits for Aki to finish, before clearing his throat. "Would you like to see something...amazing?" He asks, smiling. "I promise...you won't regret it."

Akihiko smiled softly and jumped at the sound of Yukis voice making the smile leave his face. He looked away and shrugged. "Sure...you will do it anyway even if I say no." He said softly as he looked around the empty room. "It's so empty in here yuki. Have you ever thought of having a ball?" He asked as he closed the lid of the piano as he stood looking up at the ceiling. "It would be grand yuki. Many people would come you are very popular around the cities." He twirled around as he walked to the center of the room as he looked to yuki.

"Now what did you want to show me?" He asked as a smile brightened across his face the song and the music putting him in a happier mood yet he hadn't forgiven him yet. He looked around for some type of thing that he would show him but he couldn't find anything he looked around more and more then his eyes finally ended on the handsome yuki who stood on the stairs still.

"No, I wouldn't." He watches as Aki backs away from the piano, to go out and stand on the empty floor. He smiles softly, before going to the piano, and opening it from when Aki had closed it. He runs his fingers along the keys, before looking over at Aki. "Okay. Just watch." He takes a deep breath before standing in the very middle of the empty ball floor, and music began to play from the piano by itself, and it wasn't only piano, it was like a full orchestra. He lifts his arms above his head, closing his eyes. His body begins to shimmer, his hair looking like snow that had just fallen from the sky. His fingers glow as well, so that he was like some kind of winter light. The ceiling begins to shimmer, and becomes like the light that was in the circle room, as well as galaxies and planets, stars and other worlds.

Snow began to fall, but it did not reach the floor, but hung in the air, shimmering midair. The ground beneath them becomes silvery white, like snow or ice, but it was not slippery at all. The banister that led up to a sort of balcony became silver, and icicles hung from it, glittering and reflecting the light. The whole place becomes a winter wonderland. The piano itself had even changed, from brown to a snow white, the keys clear like ice, and the chair was carved as well, with swirling designs etched into it.

And then...the most wonderful thing of all happened. First, the snow that was falling began to move, like tiny fairies in the wind. And then, on the floor, shapes began to take place, and right before AKi's eyes, a full orchestra would appear, though the figures were pale, and their clothing was was a variety of whites, blues, and silvers. Their hair was white or greyish silver as well. And then, one by one, elegant people began to appear, wearing the most exquisite clothing, ball gowns and crowns, everything was so beautiful. They were all dancing. One of the people, a young woman with pale ivory skin, long flowing silver hair, and a beautiful dress twirls up to Aki, and takes his hand, pulling him along the floor, dancing with him.

The song from before had changed, it was more lively. And, after all the changes were complete, Kuroi lowers his arms, and opens his eyes, a smile upon his lips. Yes...this was his place. His world. He goes over to the seat of the piano, and watches as Aki was pulled along by the young woman, and at the others who were dancing. "Yes...this is what I wanted to show you..."
