Lamento - Beyond the Void - Bardo's Route

I found Lamento Beyond the Void back in November and I've become completely obsessed with it. I completed both of the Rai & Asato Routes as per the

. Unfortunately, when I went back to get the last happy ending (Bardo), I got stuck. I can't figure out how to trigger the バルドの顔を見る (look at Bardo's face) option! In following the walkthrough my game skips from 篝火を (bonfire) to 買う(buy). Can anybody post your decision path to the Bardo route?

I'm going to try mushyaaaan's steps below. I'll post another update of the exact choices I make if it works... It looks like I'm not the only one that has experienced this pitfall.

 

[You probably haven’t been making enough bardo-centric choices earlier in the game. Contrary to what some guides tell you, the choices before the Asato/Rai split do matter. I learned this the hard way when I chose to fight alongside Asato and still ended up on the Rai path.

The easiest thing to do right now is probably start from an earlier save point. You will want to make choices that tend towards “pleasure” when you get choices that obviously differentiate between pleasure, joy, and grief, and choosing “lust” over “abstinence” when Verg tries to tempt Konoe in the field of four colors. Otherwise, make the choices that don’t favor the other suitors, for example, don’t stay to look at Rai, don’t ask Asato what he’s going to do. There are not as many points that bring you towards Bardo’s route as there are points that can bring you to Rai or Asato, so avoid choices that favor the latter two.

Probably the quickest and surest way to do it is to start from a new game, go to configurations, and choose “keep skip on after choice” or something to that effect. This means once you reach your first choice and you click it, it’ll keep fast-fowarding to the next choice. So let it run while you do some other things and come back every so often to select your choices. Choose to sense Rai’s presence, and then choose to look at Bardo’s face, then “Bardo is on my mind after all.” At this point you should be on Bardo’s route so turn “skip after choice” back off and enjoy!]

Luckily with a little searching and resolve I found the solution and thought I would post it for others having this issue. Follow Rai's Path instructions, but when answering Verg do NOT pick 禁欲を (abstinence)... Instead pick (~lust~). :-)
