About:Being the middle child of 9 children, Bau was often left to attend to his own needs and his parents neglected his stutter. When he met new people as a child, they would make fun of his stutter. This angered him and upset him so much that he no longer initiates conversations and he becomes irritated very easily. Thus this lead to his inability to express himself when angry and his social awkwardness. Due to his stutter, his performance in language class was poor and the school decided to transfer him over to another school. And here we are in the present during his transfer.

The wind chill made Bau shiver. Brrrr, I'm not liking today. He had never been one to make friends because he was very quiet but he was going to have to. His parents had suddenly bought a new house and decided to move to some secluded town Bau had never even heard of. Moving meant he had to go to a new school and that meant introducing himself. His head felt like it was about to burst. He hated introductions; the very thought of having to talk to people was irritating. Why did my parents have to get a bigger house? It's not like all nine of their children are still living with them. There are only 4 of us now.

 

Going into the school, Bau went to the teacher's lounge. He knocked and waited. A teacher opened the door, she was tall and lanky. Her glasses were large and round. Totally does not suit her. Bau thought. The teacher probably introduced herself and said some important things but Bau wasn't listening. The only thoughts he could hear were his own. Come on, you can do it. Just say the words like you rehearsed them. "I'm B-Bau." He managed to stutter. It was irritating that he hadn't gotten it right despite having rehearsed it all night and all morning but the teacher seemed to think it was alright.

 

The bell rung and they moved to the classroom. This was where the challenge really begun.

Gin was very amused at this seduced life and town, Gin always wanted to leave the town. he also wanted to commit seduce. since Hakuga family is so terrify, people was afraid to talk to him. that's why he's alone and never had friends. he looked 20 or 23 but actually he's 19. his parents put Gin to a really old school. but manage to have many students.

 

an alarm ringed, Gin rubbed his eyes and started to stand up. 'school.' Gin though. he leaved his bedroom. he opened the bathroom door and goes in and then close it. he take a long bath. when he finished, he use some clothes that have been prepared. "Kenji, don't forget your breakfast!" his mother shouted, Gin goes to the kitchen and take a bread. his 9 little brothers and sisters are sitting on the chair. he run to the door and exits while he eat the bread.

 

he was a bit late, but manage to get in the class. he sitted at his own usual chair. Gin noticed a not familiar face, it must be a new student. "are you new?" he politely tries to speak. he wish to have him as a friend because he could never have.

Bau had been seated in the middle row slightly off-centered to the right side. There were people around him except for one empty seat. The other kids didn't really take note of Bau and it was relief to him but it was also depressing that he wouldn't have any friends at all, again. He didn't have many friends because of his stutter but he did manage to make one friend at his old school. Now, it was back to square one.

 

Just as he started to feel depressed about it, his neighbour of the empty seat appeared. Bau watched him settle down into his chair and look around the room. Then suddenly the latecomer asked him a question! Bau practically flew off his chair in his mind but his body froze in actuality. He stared at the man, rehearsing in his mind the things he would say. Yes I am, would you like to be my friend? I don't have many friends so I'd really appreciate it! I'm Bau, nice to meet you.

 

With his stiff body, all he managed was a light nod of his head. Augh, stupid stupid stupid! Why couldn't you just say it straight? You never say anything, and now he's going to think you're mute and an idiot. Bau was angry with himself, frustrated that he couldn't speak his mind. He opened his mouth slightly, beginning to form words but then he stopped himself and continued to stare.

"oh..." Gin sighed, he stared at the silent man which are going to speak. "what's wrong?" Gin asked, he looked worried. "my name's Kenji, what's you're name?" Gin smiled and patted the stranger's head. after the stranger tell Gin his name, bell ringed. it means time for class. Gin sighed, but then smiled. "let's talk more later okay?" Gin smiled happily.

Bau was getting very nervous. The man in front of him was asking too many questions. Bau, you can do it! It's simple, just tell him your name and you might become friends. Come on, just spit it out! His anxiety had started getting to him when Kenji put his hand on Bau's head and gave a little pat. "I-I'm Bau." He managed to say as clearly as he could. There was still a little stammering but he felt he did a decent job. The slight act of encouragement made it much easier to open his mouth and get it to make a sound.

 

Class started and it would have done him well to pay attention but Bau was preoccupied with his thoughts of Kenji. Kenji, he seems friendly. But what if I didn't seem friendly? I can't believe it! I couldn't even manage to hold a proper conversation! What if he doesn't like me? Bau knit his eyebrows together and pondered what he could do to make it better. I better go over to him after class and try it again.

 

When class ended, Bau got up and went to Kenji. His lips quivered as he tried to open his mouth and speak. Letting out a breath of frustration, he began to tear up. Starting conversations was one of his inadequacies. Not knowing what to do now, he stood next to Kenji's table and stared.

"is there something wrong?" Kenji stand up, and patted Bau's head. "ah wait, let's just talk on the rooftop okay?" Kenji smiled softly as he began to walk to the classroom door. 'i don't what to get him in trouble' he though, he began to open the door and close the door when Bau goes out. "i'll lead you to the rooftop." Kenji wait for Bau to walk first and then side-by-side walking with Bau. the stairs was a bit long, so it may took a little time.

 

Kenji opened the door and close it when Bau goes in, he started to sit at the floor, he looked at the beautiful scenery. "what do you want to talk about?" yet again, Kenji smiled at Bau.

Bau felt Kenji's hand pat his head once more. He looked up in surprise to see that the other man was smiling. Although Bau hadn't spoken a word, Kenji neither judged him nor ignored him. The little act warmed Bau's heart. He gave a slight nod and followed Kenji to the stairs. Bau didn't know what he was going to say. I'm sorry? What am I sorry for? That I didn't properly introduce myself? Well, I did... So am I thankful for him becoming my friend? How will I tell him? He was nervous with the immense amount of silence between them as they ascended the stairs.

 

When they made it to the top, the door opened and light flooded in. Bau's eyes squinted at the glow of the sky. It was a sight to behold. Kenji sat on the floor so Bau copied him. He thought about his answer to the question. "I-I ... " Bau's eyebrows furrowed. He was stuttering more than usual and he couldn't form his sentence properly. He sat there in silence for a few minutes, thinking about what he really wanted to say. Thank you? Bau opened his mouth slightly, drew in a deep breath, and said, "I w-want, I want to th-than-thank you for b-being my frie-". Huff. Bau panted and his body tensed. He had messed up, hadn't finished the sentence. His palms were wet with sweat and in pain from his nails. "Friend!" Bau added a little too sharply.

 

He squeezed his eyes shut and held his breath. Bau anticipated Kenji's disappearance upon opening them. He opened a slit in one eye to peek at his friend. Eyes shooting open, Bau gasped. Kenji was still there in front of him, staring right back.

Gin was opening his mouth trying to answer, he looked at Bau. Bau's courage was enough for him. "you have a great courage there, Bau." Gin smiled softly to the black-haired man, he stand up and kissed Bau's head, "i'm also grateful to have a friend." Gin slowly close his eyes, he take Bau's hand to his chest. Gin's heart was beating very fast, "i was the first one who wanted to say that, but turns out..you have the biggest courage than me." Gin smiled to Bau.

Bau looked at Kenji in disbelief, through his hand he could feel Kenji's heart beating thump thump thump. He'd thought that his friend was very calm and uninterested in his gratitude. Bau's face lit up into a goofy smile. "We're friends?" He exclaimed out of excitement, he was beaming with joy. It was his first day here and he already made a friend. Not only was he a friend but he was also gorgeous and super nice. Bau was so happy, he hadn't realized his stutter didn't come out. "Can we eat lunch together everyday then?" He leaned in and tried his best at puppy dog eyes, begging for Kenji to accept.

Kenji blushed and looked at down, he nods as a yes. "everyday. and everytime. if you want to." he said while he sighs.

Bau was overjoyed at the answer. It'd be his wish come true to have someone he could spent time with everyday. His face was practically glowing with joy but his faced quickly formed a frown at the sigh. "W-wha-what's wr-wrong?" He asked in concern. Sighs usually meant bad things. Is it because he didn't want to but he couldn't refuse? Oh no, what if I'm annoying him? Bau scrunched his eyebrows together. No, he wouldn't agree to something he didn't want. He looked into Kenji's eyes and decided to offer what he liked best, "H-have some cho-cho-co-late." He had pulled out a bar of dark chocolate, his favourite kind. Opening the wrapper, he passed a piece to his friend.

He stare at the little one who got worried. He could tell by his face, he was thinking that Gin dislike it. "no worries, i'm sighing because i'm pretty tired." he said, "i'm sorry, but i'm allergic to chocolate." He panicked, He touched Bau's hair. "your hair kinda long. But if ot's not long.. It won't fit for your cute and shy behaviour." He smiles.

"Oh..." Bau became dejected. He hadn't thought about whether Kenji would like chocolate or not. He'd simply thought about what he liked. Mentally, he beat his head. I'm so self absorbed. I should consider what other people think. Did I offend him? I hope not, he's my only friend. Or rather, I was about to kill him! His lips formed a deeper frown. An allergy to chocolate, I have to be careful and remember that... I wouldn't want to kill my only friend. His mind was in a frenzy. The only thing he could think of to say was: "Tha-that's too bad. Ch-ocolate tastes so-so good. I-I'll eat y-your share too!" He made the exclamation not knowing it could be taken offensively.

 

While eating his chocolate, the hand came down on his head. He stopped talking and peered up at his friend. Shying from what he thought was a compliment, he looked at his friend's smile. A returning smile played on his lips as he found himself staring. It was a relief Kenji hadn't left at the insult. He replied, "M-mom doesn't l-like it long. She wa-wants me to cut it." Slowly the amount of stuttering decreased as he became more comfortable talking to Kenji. "Even though s-she says that, sh-she doesn't take me to the b-barber. I guess it's b-better this way." He grinned, liking the fact that he hadn't cut away the part of him his friend liked.

 

They'd been on the roof for a while now. Bau looked around for signs remaining school activity. There were a few people out on the tennis court, rookies picking up the balls after practice. It was getting late. "Shouldn't w-we go home? It's ge-getting late. Look, cl-clubs are already done."
