FatPanda
Name: Kat Age: 26 Position: Uke Species: Half human half lizard-like creature Appearance: Think of Barney the dinosaur... Short purple hair, Scales down his back, Curved thick tail (purple that extends down from his hair to the back of his neck and to the spine Personality: Happy go lucky, Overly curious, Will fall over if poked in the head Kat lives in a burrow thirty trees down from the edge of the woods. He liked running around and playing around the trees. His parents had always warned him not to run too far or some human might kill him. He had a fear of humans; he had heard stories about them shooting down neighbours and dissecting them. He always stayed close to his burrow for fear of being cut open but also maintained a curiosity for what was beyond that. The one day he accidentally chased a squirrel too far, he ran into a human. "Eeeeep" Kat ran right into him and fell onto his bum. Oh no, I'm going to die! He froze with fear.
Nyuchanxx
Leven scowled down at the creature that had run into him, he immediately drew his sword pointing it down at the others neck, his ice cold gaze bared down upon the other. He aimed the tip of the diamond sharp blade to the creatures neck, his instincts taking over as he made an attempt to protect himself from that which as probably harmless. He said nothing merely continued to glare his cold, hard, knowing eyes at the other.
FatPanda
Kat sat motionless for a moment and waited for the human to slice him into pieces. When that hadn't happened, he scurried backwards as fast as he could. He should have probably run at the point but he didn't. Sitting up and staring at the human, Kat's curiosity got the better of him. "Hi there, who are you? You're not here to hurt me are you? Would you like to play with me? My momma said that you humans would kill me but I guess you're not a human. What are you then? Do you live around here? WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE MY FRIEND~?" Kat bombarded the man with questions. Having not been killed somehow eased his fears and brought forth the need for answers. He blinked a few times and stared at the man, waiting for a response. Nyuchanxx
Leven scowled as the other backed away. He didn't like the questions it made him think that something was up, he quickly pounced n the other and pushed him to the ground holding the blade edge to the males neck "my name is Isaac" he lied "and if you don't explain what you are doing here in my neck of the woods i am going to slice you into very thin strips and hand you back to your mummy with a card with an insulting message!" he growled, people asking questions always put him on edge and although this male wasn't strictly human, he could tell that much from a glance, he wasn't a dumb animal either and therefore had the ability to hurt him, immediately or eventually. FatPanda
"WAH!" Kat's heart almost stopped. There was a blade at his neck and he was pinned nearly flat. Kat frowned, "I-I live here. Well, not quite here but I live around here. Please don't give my momma a scare, I don't think she'd be too happy to see me cut open." He smiled again, "I promise I won't eat you. I've never had humans before but my momma tells me they aren't for eating so I won't eat you." Kat tried to sit up but the blade threatening his throat made him back down. He sniffed the man. He smells gorgeous! Kat asked the man, "Isaac, do you want to play with me? I get awfully lonely out here. And I really want to be friends with you. Please please be friends with me!" Kat reached his hand up and touched the man's forehead.
Nyuchanxx
Leven flinched back as he felt the hand near his forehead. He sighed it was s obvious that this male wasn't going to be any sort of harm to him. He lifted his sword from the others neck and stood back again straitening moving back, he put his sword behind his back, tightening the belt around his chest holding the blade in place. he turned intending to leave, to go back to his life and to return to the forest, slowly he began to walk away. FatPanda
"Isaac? Wait, for me." Kat sprung up and followed the man. "Isaac, where are you going? Friends have to stick together or we could be eaten." He beamed with joy. The fact that Leven hadn't killed him was a miracle to him but to be friends, that was on a whole new level! "Isaac, you know, you're my first human friend! I had never believed my momma when she told me putting my paw on someone's head could help you become friends because I didn't try that with any of my squirrel friends but I can't believe it really worked, I'm so excited to do all these new things with you. My squirrel friends don't talk to me like you do! We've only ever played tag and I seem to always be 'it'. " Kat gasped for air, "I'm so excited I'm forgetting to breathe!" His tail swayed back and forth as he stared at his friend for a response.
Nyuchanxx
Leven grumbled, this was ridiculous he was quite happy with his peaceful life, with the trees and the animals and now this guy had stormed into it. He groaned "if you can keep up then do what you want." He climbed into the nearest tree without a backward glance moving along it's lower branches as if he weighed nothing, he climbed from tree to tree across the branch before he eventually reached the tree he particularly liked. As he was climbing he had slowly been getting higher and higher and now he was about 15 metres of the ground. He sat on the big thick beam of the ancient tree a smoothed hollow rested on the beam just as it joined the main trunk, a hollow that Leven found an extremely comfortable place to sleep in the summer when it was warm He sighed shutting his eyes assuming he had left Kat far behind him. FatPanda
Kat was overjoyed, he followed behind the man trying to keep up with his short legs. When Leven climbed the tree, Kat tried to do the same. Except... he couldn't climb. His arms and legs were clumsy, he'd never climbed a tree before. Kat watched as the man climbed higher and started going from tree to tree. Kat waddled after the man who was moving higher and higher, farther and farther. He ran along the forest ground and soon was a few trees down. The little lizard boy huffed as he tried to keep up. Just as he thought he would lose sight of his friend, Level stopped. A smile formed on Kat's face, he ran to the tree and looked up. "Issac?" Kat stared at the man who had shut his eyes. Getting no response, Kat tried to climb the tree. Again, he had no luck. Disheartened, Kat sat down on the ground making sure his stump for a tail didn't get crushed and waited for Leven to respond. Just as he was starting to get bored, he saw two squirrel running around, one chasing the other. He was about to call out to them but the one chasing caught up with the other and was now atop it. Kat's eyes widened as his face blushed into a bright red. "FUaa...ggggh!" He made a strange sound of surprise. He was watching two squirrels fuck. Out of embarrassment, he turned around to face the tree trunk.
Nyuchanxx
Leven leapt up as he was awoken from his sleep by the noise, nearly slipping as his left foot balanced precariously on the edge of the branch. He rapidly climbed higher into the tree hiding out of instinct to protect his life. Slowly moving the leaves from his eyes he peered down towards the ground below him, flicking his eyes back and forth to see where the disturbance had come from, he saw nothing, nothing other than Kat who now sat facing the tree. Jumping elegantly from the branches of the tree Leven landed almost silently beside Kat, irritably he said "Why'd you scream, i was asleep!" He looked down upon the other noticing his red cheeks he sighed in frustration, if this idiot was ill he would feel obligated to take him home and in no way did he feel that kindness right now, he was tired, annoyed and just wanted to get back to the simple peace of nature, ignoring the rest of the world "Are you ill?" he asked bluntly glaring daggers at the man. FatPanda
"Issac!" Kat jumped up onto his feet. He hadn't expected the man to come down. The flush in his cheeks started to subside as his attention was drawn away from the squirrels. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up." Kat frowned, he didn't like that he'd been a nuisance. His tail that usually held itself up in a slight curve drooped down to sweep across the ground. He felt dejected again but then thought about it, Issac came down for me! A smile returned to his face and his tail resumed its shape. Hearing the question, Kat brightened up. He came down because he was concerned about me! Kat put his hand on his forehead, "I don't think I'm sick... I feel perfectly fine!" He cheered with a grin, "I'm a tough boy! I haven't gotten sick in 5 years." Kat puffed out his chest and gave it a little pat. "Now that you're awake, do you want to catch squirrels with me? Or you can teach me to climb a tree!" Kat wanted so much to learn to climb. He wanted to be able to catch up to Leven the next time he went up towards the sky. He hopped up and down in circles around the man. He kept jumping until he was huffing and puffing out of breath. "Please~" He begged.
Nyuchanxx
Leven rolled his eyes, this was getting ridiculous and he was going to have to give in eventually. "well i am not helping you catch squirrels, and seriously wont you mother be getting worried?" he sighed "god do you ever run out of energy it is quite ridiculous!" he looked at the male not sure what he should do. he looked up at the sky, it bugged him that Kat was still calling him Issac but he wasnt about to tell him his real name that would be far too risky after all. The sun was slowly beginning to set and he was tired "ok right if you can manage to climb the tree before the sun sets then i'lll teach you anything you want!" he challenged the other nearly certain he wouldnt manage it. FatPanda
"For REAL?!" Kat exclaimed, beaming with joy. If he could climb the tree, then his friend would teach him anything he wanted? That sounded like a wonderful deal. He turned towards the big tree behind him and tried to wrap his arms and legs around the large trunk. The slight jump he'd given only served to allow him to fall towards the space below him. Thud. Kat fell on the ground, nearly crushing his bulky tail. "Uuuuuuu..." Tears formed in his eyes as he realized it wouldn't be easy. Especially with his clumsy arms and legs. He got up slowly and stared up at the big tree. If he could climb this, his friend would spend time with him. Remembering the promise, he gave himself a nod and tried again. He jumped up and fell once more. He hadn't even gotten close to a branch. At this rate, he'd never make it in time. The sun had already begun to set. Maybe it's the tree. He thought, moving to a smaller one. It wasn't a lot smaller but it was smaller. Kat thought maybe he could get around this one. He spent close to an hour jumping up and down, switching trees, and falling. He nearly cried each time he fell and did shed a tear once when he'd fallen onto a root. Sunlight was already disappearing and he had made little to no progress. The little half-lizard kept trying, scratching at the bark of the trees. He really wanted to impress his friend. Kat pulled himself up the trunk, getting close to a branch within reach. It was so close but his arms were short, he couldn't grab hold. He tried to push himself up more but slipped on the bark and fell again. "Uuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaahh!" He cried as he fell onto his stubby tail. Kat curled into a ball and held onto his tail. The pain caused him to squirm. As he noticed the sky had turned black, he cried more. He hadn't made it in time and he'd hurt himself. Hic hic hic. Kat sobbed as he lay next to the original tree he'd tried to climb. He was dejected and upset with himself. His eyes wandered around, looking for his friend "Issac" but they were blurry from the tears and were of little use in the dark. He sat up slightly despite the pain and wiped his eyes to find his friend.
Nyuchanxx
Leven, who had been sitting at the base of another tree asleep for a long while, got up and walked over to Kat. Sighing he crouched down and patted the others head comfortingly "ok, ok time to stop before you hurt yourself more. And look the sun has set so why dont i take you home, you really dont want to be friends with me i would put you in more danger and i really am not a nice person to be around." he stood again and stretched his cramped muscles "come on get up before it gets too dark." he felt he should probably stop playing with this man now it was starting to just become cruel and he didnt like that aspect of himself, even if the world had been cruel to him he didnt believe that gave him the right to be cruel to others who had done him no wrong. FatPanda
Kat wiped his tears and snot. Sniffling, he replied, "B-but you're my only friend...and I like being your friend. You're a nice person, I want to stay here with you. I really wanted you to teach me all sorts of things." He really wanted to stay but the other was right, his mother would have a heart attack if he didn't go home soon. He never usually stayed out this late; that's mostly because he had nowhere to be. He picked himself up, wincing at the pain near his butt and tearing up again. I'm done crying, I'm okay. He chanted to himself so he could walk home. "I haven't given up! I'll try again tomorrow, and if I can climb a tree promise me you'll teach me all sorts of things!" Kat puffed out his cheeks in a pout. The deal had been for him to climb the tree before the sun set today but he wouldn't take no for an answer. He'd embarrassed himself today; there was no other reason for him to come find this man again. The only option was to make the deal. He also wanted "Issac" to teach him things he didn't know. The half-lizard walked back home in silence. His waddling was even more duck-like as his pained tail cried out to him. He started to cry silently, sniffling along the way. The tears just fell by themselves even though he kept telling himself that it was okay. He was upset with himself for having failed more than he was in physical pain. The disappointment was more than he could handle at the moment. He'd just have to sleep on it and try again tomorrow.
Nyuchanxx
Leven walked slowly at a measured pace, he didn't say anything in response to what the other said, there was nothing to say to it. After a little while he turned to look at Kat and sighed stopping and leaning down slightly he whipped the tears from the others eyes flicking the salty liquid onto the floor he gently said "hey don't cry, tears don't achieve anything." A lesson he had learnt a very long time ago. "If you ever manage to find me again maybe I will tell you something ok?" He said trying to cheer the other up, it wasn't like it would be hard for the other to find him again, he normally stayed in the same place but he doubted Kat ever traveled that far from home and therefore would know the area nor where the two of them actually were. FatPanda
Hearing the suggestion, Kat's face lit up. A reflexive smile plastered his lips as he thought about how he had managed to secure the deal. A blush ran across his face while he replied with an overenthusiastic nod, "I'll find you again! I'll definitely find you! I'll be back tomorrow!" He jumped up and down, ignoring the pain that had previously been where his tail met with his body. He ran around in joy and started back home, wanting the day to end and the next one to start so he could see the man again. "See you tomorrow Issac!" He called out as he half-ran half-skipped away. He went past the unfamiliar trees and before he noticed, he was back in familiar territory. The light of his home was in the distance; he followed it back to his burrow. Grinning widely, he stepped inside to face his furious mother. "Where have you been?!" His smile flipped upside down as he realized he'd forgotten to tell her he was going to be late and he'd been super late too. Fumbling to find the words for an explanation, he heard a scowl. "Don't you tell me you were out there, playing deep into the woods again! I told you not to go out there, it's dangerous." Kat bit his lip at the reprimand, he wanted to lie and say no he didn't go but his mom was pretty sure he'd gone out there. Feeling unable to come up with an excuse, he was banned from going back. She didn't want him getting hurt by "dangerous" humans but Kat knew "Issac" wasn't dangerous at all. Dejected for the next few days, Kat didn't leave his burrow. He would if he were allowed to but he was technically grounded. He wanted to beg Mama lizard to let him go out but she said no every time. She wouldn't let him go anywhere before he promised not to go out into the deeper woods. After three days of doing nothing but sitting at home, he finally promised to stay where she could see him. It was lonely again, being surrounded by nothing but squirrels to chase. He didn't like staying home now that he knew there was a friend out there in the woods. Determined to see his friend again, he declared to the trees, "I'm going to go see Issac even if Mommy gets angry!" He snuck off into the woods as his mother turned away and went back into the burrow to finish some chores. Kat ran as if a large animal was chasing after him until he reached a big oak tree. Smiling as he wiped the sweat away from his forehead, the half-lizard beamed proudly at his first misdeed in a while. Panting out of breath, he looked around for Leven. He wasn't sure which way he'd gone last time and how he made it back home but he was betting on going left. He just hoped he didn't run into anything scary before he found his friend. Nyuchanxx
Leven turned to leave "bring it on!" He shouted back as he left wandering slowly back into the rapidly darkening woods. He weaved expertly in and out of the disfigured trees that appeared randomly scattered like the seeds had been dropped from the sky, but then again he figured many of them had. Once the humans had discovered all the strange and simply different creatures from themselves in the world the selfish and unwelcoming beings had separated themselves from the unknown by creating a forest, a barrier between themselves and the mysterious. Odd, people had always thought humans were inquisitive mammals that liked to discover new things...evidently not. Arriving at the tree he had been in earlier he swung himself up into the centre bows of the plant settling himself in to sleep on the enormous branches and forks of the ancient plant and fell asleep. The next morning he awoke to the sound of a woodpecker making its nest in the trunk of the tree. He smiled and rolled his eyes, he didn't mind being woken up this early if it was for nature although he would much rather have had an extra couple of hours. Yawning he sat up and stretched thinking back on the day before he wondered if Kat really would try and find him again, he felt a little bad for making the offer after all if the other got lost in the woods and got into trouble as a result he would feel terrible but there was nothing he could do now. Climbing down from the tree he pulled a small curved knife from his belt and began searching the ground for plants to cook. For the rest of the day he made sure to stay in about the same place to at least give Kat a fair chance but by the time dusk came he was bored of staying still and needed to move. He waited till darkness had fallen in case the male did indeed find him as the sun fell. As the final rays melted beneath the tree tops he sighed and stood surprised at himself for actually being a little disappointed. Shaking the thought away he began to jog through the trees smelling the damp air and revealing in the coolness that touched his skin. Over the next few days Leven stayed in the same place, somehow loathed to move, he knew it was pointless but he couldn't help it he had decided every day that he would leave the next but it just didn't happen. On this particular morning he woke up and after a quick breakfast of berries he removed his wet stone from his things and sat up in the tree to begin sharpening his blades which were now becoming blunt after such a long time without being sharpened. The repetition was soothing and he quickly zoned out allowing his hands to do all the work while his mind tuned out moving from random thought to the next as the time passed.
