Remus saw that Lucas wasn’t strong enough to carry himself back to their room. Sliding his arms around his fledgling, Remus swept him up into his arms again, encouraging Lucas to wrap his arms around his neck. “I’ll give you more blood in a minute,” he promised, turning to face Dameon as well. Behind the Ancient’s back, Remus didn’t miss the pouting Gregori. It seemed to him as if the Elder was feeling pretty left out and Remus sincerely hoped that Dameon would pay his fledgling more attention after he and Lucas had left, otherwise new problems might arise, which he didn’t hope.

“It’s obvious, don’t you think?” the Ancient replied to Lucas’s question, gesturing for Remus to leave and take the Dragonslayer with him. “The being you met has been hiding inside of you for a long time, Childe. It must have been in that place within you for a very good reason and in order to have gained access to it, you must have spent a lot of energy. Don’t forget that I had to pull you back into the real world by force- that probably wasn’t an easy feat and also ate up your energy. Yes, I agree with Remus: it would be best if the two of you went to bed. Tomorrow we will talk about all that’s transpired and think how best to proceed.” And then, he did a, to Remus at least, surprising thing: Dameon hit a hand to his chest and bowed down respectfully to Lucas. “Until we meet again, Dragonslayer.”

Lucas groaned as he was helped up, sliding his arms around his Sire's neck for support. But stilling at the explination he was being given. He had forgotten that part, frowning for a long moment. It made sense to him, moreso now than it would have only hours earlier. Watching Dameon for a long moment, he shut his eyes tightly and clinching his fingers to Remus as he turned his face away from the man. "Dameon... please... I am no different than another fledgling, I do not deserve that from you." He said softly. Letting his eyes slide open to stare at his Sire's chest with a pained expression. "I am only still a child. I havent the strength nor the power yet to keep everything from going wrong..." He whispered softly before he was taken away from the bathroom. Nuzzling at his Sire as tears had welled up into his eyes at the knowledge that he now held in himself. It was so stressful, and only caused him to become more tired.

Gregori raised a brow as he watched his Master do something unexpected. Hearing Lucas next had his gaze flickering lightly in the light. Lowering his gaze to the floor, he wasnt sure what he had felt just then. Was it the boy not believing that he had the power? Or was it pity all together?

“Come Lucas, you must be exhausted after that ordeal,” Remus gently said, slipping his fingers into Lucas’s hands so that they wouldn’t continue to bury themselves into his clothes and shirt. Nodding once more at Dameon and trying not to show his surprise at how the Ancient had bowed to his fledgling, Remus walked out the door, reaching back with his leg to pull the door shut behind him. Cradling Lucas against him, Remus carried his fledgling back to their bedroom. Setting Lucas down in an upright position, Remus removed his ruffled shirt, which had been made uneven by Lucas’s fingers digging into it. Reaching up to take his long silver hair and let it fall down over his left shoulder, Remus opened his arms. “Come, my love, drink.”

Dameon waited until Remus and Lucas had disappeared. Turning back to hid childe, he sighed as he sat down beside Gregori. “You have questions, naturally. Let us also turn in for the night. Ask them all and I will try to answer them as best I can,” he reassured.

Lucas groaned as he curled up to his Sire as he was carried back to their room. Yet, it was when he was laid down in a sitting position that had his gaze lifting to the man with a small whimper. Watching as the material was taken off of his Sire. Words reaching his ears had him flinching out of his thoughts after a long moment. Blinking as he lifted his gaze to his Sire once again, he moved closer to him. Nuzzling into his neck gently as he brushed his lips against the place a vein would be pulsing if his Sire were still human. Closing his eyes as he bit into the flesh and began to drink from him slowly.

Gregori lifted his gaze to his Sire as he listened to him. Letting his gaze fall to the floor for a long moment, not even sure what those questions were anymore. Instead he felt a great need to be close to his Sire, as if the man had been gone for days on end even tho the man had not left the room ever since those two had entered in. Fingers clinched into fists as he wasn't sure what was causing all of this, as if he was scared of the thought. "Master..." He whimpered softly.

Remus’ eyes fell closed as Lucas’s tongue passed over his neck and then bit in to eagerly drink from him. Remus let out a soft sigh as his arms came up to wrap themselves around his fledgling. He could feel Lucas’s conflicting emotions and wished he knew a way to comfort his lover aside from simply offering him his blood. Weaving his fingers through Lucas’s beautiful blond hair, Remus smiled faintly as an idea came to him. “Have I ever told you how I came to discover that vampires existed?” he suddenly asked his fledgling.

Dameon took a closer look at Gregori and understood. Uttering an incantation beneath his breath that locked the door to the bathroom from the outside, Dameon removed the towel around his waist and climbing back into the bathtub, tossed off Gregori’s towel and wrapping his arms around his childe, sat down with Gregori seated in his lap, facing him. “Kiss me,” he urged, biting into Gregori’s shoulder lightly as his hands rubbed soothingly over and down Gregori’s back. The anguish he’d seen in his childe’s eyes had unsettled Dameon as well. “Don’t think that I place Lucas and Remus above you. I don’t, Gregori. It’s just that if anything ere to happen to Lucas, I’d have no way of protecting you from harm anymore,” he explained quietly.

Lucas relaxed into his Sire's embrace while he was feeding from him. Closing his eyes as he drank from the man while he felt hands moving through his hair. After a long moment, and getting what he needed from the man, he slid his tongue over the pinpricks sealing them up. Moving back just enough to look up at his Sire at the question he was asked. Shaking his head after a long moment. "You.. havent really told me much about your life before you found me." He whispered.

Gregori lifted his gaze to his Sire when he was brought into the tub once again. Relaxing into the lap he was being brought down on, his fingers playing over his Master's shoulders and chest lightly. A soft gasp left him as he heard his Sire and felt the bite against his shoulder. A small shudder left him for a short moment before he brushed his lips against his Sire's. But he stilled at the words that reached his ears. "I... I would never think you would put them above me Master. I dont..." He paused as he lowered his gaze for a long moment. "I dont know what Lucas really is, or what a dragonslayer means... But I felt as if something happened to him, that it would be disastrous." He whispered.

Remus chuckled, laying back against the pillows and pulling Lucas along with him, rested his fledgling’s head upon his chest. “Like you, I was afraid of dying. When I was your age, however, I had my studies to distract me from the fat that human life is short. I was into philosophy and arts and I spent most of my adult life traveling around the known world, getting to meet with esteemed gentlemen who tried to help me find what the purpose of life was. And then, all of a sudden, one day I woke up and realized that I was old. And suddenly, panic filled me. I was terrified. I feared when I went to sleep at night, I wouldn’t wake up the next day,” he admitted, recalling that past time as he hugged Lucas closer.

Dameon nipped Gregori’s lip lightly, not enough to draw blood. “You really are very sensitive and clever, my childe,” he complimented the younger vampire in his arms, returning Gregori’s kiss with more fervor. Pouring water over his childe’s back so that he wouldn’t become cold, Dameon sighed. “The Dragonslayer is a myth that originated several centuries ago, long before the Final War where those blasted Lycans became such a hassle to our race. In the prophecy, it was stated that a Dragonslayer would come to us in the form of a powerful being capable of restoring balance and rescuing our race from distinction,” he tried to explain the myth in a nutshell.

Lucas laid there while he listened to his Sire. It seemed the two were no different when they were human. Closing his eyes as he tried to figure out the answer. "Is it like that for everyone? Did everyone seek this life?" He asked softly. But if he thought clearly about the situation, he had been different than Remus when he was human. Yes, he may of feared death and saught out a way to keep himself from having to endure such a fate. Yet, he gained something that he would of never thought or imagened. Now the weight of the race weighed on his shoulders, and he feared that he would not be able to save them when it came down to it.

Gregori lowered his gaze as a blush raced across his cheeks. It was true that he may act childish most of the time, but he did know.. some things and he was more sensitive than most, not just physically sensitive. Nuzzling up to his Master as he listened to what the myth was, he raised a brow. It had been as he feared it was. "So... that being... that is why he has wings?" He asked. But another thought struck at him. Was those wings... holding Lucas' powers? He pushed the thought away as it seemed almost silly to think of it that way.

Remus kissed Lucas’s small button nose. “I don’t honestly know, my love. On my journeys around the world I met many humans who were happy that their lives were coming to an end. People who were being condemned for terrible crimes they had made and who knew that there would be no salvation for their souls, old men who had lived a happy and fulfilled life and who wished for nothing else…people who had lost their loved ones and believed that they would be reunited with their family members in death. But after all my years of studying, of reading, of putting my nose inside a book and not looking either left or right, I had forgotten to live and that was terrible,” he sighed, shaking his head. “And it was then that I began to hope and pray that I might find a way to trick death and live longer.”

Dameon closed his eyes and leaned his head against Gregori’s shoulder. “I don’t think his secret powers are solely concentrated inside his wings. If they were, by ripping his wings out his back, that would mean that we could incapacitate him…” He shuddered at the pain that would probably bring Remus’ fledgling. He kissed Gregori’s Adam’s apple. “Lucas has wings because as the Dragonslayer, he has more power than any single vampire of Lycan together. He has knowledge beyond our own power, if only he could remember it. The wings signify that he is the chosen one…and unfortunately, the Lycans have found out that he is alive and are currently searching and hunting for him. That is why he has to remain here until we come up with a good plan.”

Lucas raised a brow as he continued to listen to his Sire. Lowering his gaze once agian as he sighed softly. "But... do you honestly believe you have managed to succeed in such a task?" He asked softly. Vampires could still be killed, banished, or even worse. Curling up as his thoughts went back to his own abilities, the thought that he may not be able to handle the challenges that lay ahead terrified him. And in turn... it would destroy the race. He had the knowledge, knew what he had to do... But in that moment, he felt as if he didnt know what he could do.

Gregori blinked as he tried to understand. "So... his wings show that he has extraordinary power." He paused for a long moment. "Is that the reason why there are some older ones out there that have wings?" He asked softly. "Is it because they have had years to perfect their powers and years of discipline." He whispered.

"Well, all I wanted at that time was to live longer and not die a senseless and painful death. I began to interest myself for the occult and it was then that I came across a group of females who were said to know a lot about witchcraft. From them I learned that in Louisiana in America I might find a being who had managed to outsmart death. In my crazed state of mind, believing that I could already hear Death’s footsteps coming ever closer, I travelled by ship to the States. I wandered the streets both day and night, searching for a clue, someone who might help me, but I found no one. Until one night, when I became stupidly drunk and hardly had any money left, Aleixo found me.” Remus suddenly became very quiet.

Dameon’s eyes which had been half closed the more he relaxed and slowly began to sink back into the mood he had been in before Remus and Lucas had burst through the bathroom door, suddenly flew open. Gripping Gregori’s shoulders a little too tightly, Dameon’s face became overly serious and something akin to fear flashed through his eyes. “Who told you about those beings?” he demanded to know, shaking Gregori slightly. “How can you know about them?!”

Lucas stilled as he heard his Sire. He knew it was a painful discussion and didnt wish for Remus to get upset over it. Shaking his head, He had a inkling of what happened then. "You dont have to say any more, Remus. I get the idea of what happened." He whispered softly. Nuzzling at the man, wishing he could just take all that pain away from the man.

Gregori yelped as he was grabbed a bit to roughly and shaken. His eyes widened as his gaze lifted to his Master. Confusion on his face as he could of sworn it was common knowledge to the race about those that had years of being by themselvses and their magic only to keep them company. Shaking his head. "N-No one told me that Master... I read it in one of your books." He whimpered the words out. Trembling in his Master's hold as tears threatened to well up in his eyes. "Y-you wanted me to learn more about our race, and to familarize myself with the dark arts if only by reading about it."

Remus laughed quietly. “Oh, it’s not as bad as you believe, my Lucas. Aleixo didn’t do anything to me that night. But he took me in and made sure that I didn’t freeze to death out in the streets. I spent much of the following day sobering up again and the following night, Aleixo invited me to dine with him. It was then that he asked me what had brought me all the way from Europe to America and I told him about my fears, my angst that Death would soon find me and that the eternal blanket of darkness would cover me. Aleixo promised me that he could help me if I became his lover. As desperate as I was, I didn’t properly reconsider what he was actually offering me. Even when he showed me the way he lived, how he had to kill in order to live, I downplayed it, convinced that it immortality was worth it.” He chuckled again. “And until recently, I was convinced that it had been the stupidest decision of my life.”

Dameon’s clutch on Gregori’s shoulders continued a moment longer, but then it slackened as the panic that had begun to rise receded. Thank God…for a moment there, Dameon had feared that his spell to erase Gregori’s mind had gone wrong and that his childe had somehow recalled a chance meeting with one of those rare beings. Breathing out in relief, he pressed his childe against his heart. “Gregori, I’m so sorry. Forgive me- I…for a moment back there, I thought you’d left our home and accidentally come across those singular beings…” His voice trailed off as suddenly an idea came to his mind. Wouldn’t one of those rare beings eventually be able to help Lucas further his understanding of magic?

Lucas straightened up as he heard Remus but then settled down again. Trying to picture what his Sire was saying, but having only met Alexio when he was an evil being that wanted to kill him. He had a hard time picturing this part of the man. The last words that came from Remus had him raising a brow. "Until recently? What has made you change your mind about it?" He asked softly.

Gregori whimpered as Dameon didn't release his tight hold on him for a long moment. But once the hold loosened, he settled down. Hearing his Sire, he raised a thin brow for a long moment. Confusion racing across his face as he tried to understand. "But... Master... I haven't left this place ever since you brought me in." He said softly. "I promised I would never go away until you didn't wish for me any longer." He said as he lowered his gaze for a long moment. "Ive only tried to do what you have asked of me." He whimpered.

Remus turned his head so that he could properly gaze into Lucas’s icy blue eyes. “Can’t you guess that, my love?” he wondered, nuzzling his nose against Lucas’s. “Up until recently, I believed that there had been no reason for my having chosen to continue living. Yes, I learned to love Aleixo and I suffered a great deal when I believed he’d died the first time round, but other than have become his lover, which anyone could have become, I didn’t think my existence had any importance. But it seems that, as unimportant as I am, I was the one destined to find you. And I fell in love with you properly for the first time in my life,” Remus smiled as he sweetly kissed Lucas. “Now I really don’t mind if I were to die.”

Dameon turned so that he and Gregori were laying facing each other, their noses almost touching. Caressing his childe’s cheek with the back of his hand, the Ancient leaned in for an apologetic kiss that he let linger until he sensed Gregori’s tension disappearing. “I’m sorry. It’s just that…after the adventures I’ve had lately with Lucas and Remus, I’m afraid of losing you. But you’ve just given me a wonderful idea; one that might possibly help us in our quest of strengthening Lucas and giving him the self-assurance that he needs in order to help save our race,” he said confidently, but then shook his head, pulling his childe closer. “But now, enough about Lucas- the only young vampire I want to talk about, see, hear, taste and touch is you…” he added in a low voice.

Lucas stilled at the words that came from his Sire's mouth. A light blush raced across his cheeks at how his thought process had not even come close to thinking that at all. But it was the last words that reached his ears that had him clinching his hands tightly and taring his gaze away from the man. "I wont let you die..." He whispered softly. Because in his mind, if Remus was to die... that would be the end of him. In a way, it would. His good heart and soul would be forced into darkness and everything would go wrong.

Gregori was trying to understand as much as he could. But it was hearing his Master that had him stilling and a dark blush to arch across his face. Lowering his gaze for a short moment before nuzzling at his Master and cuddling up to him for comfort. He wondered what he had made Dameon think of that would help Lucas, but for now he decided that since his Master did not wish to speak any more about the boy. He could always find out later. Nipping at his Master's lower lip gently as he shivered once the water had cooled.

Remus mildly tugged at Lucas’s hair. “I’m not going to do anything to hurt myself willingly,” he reassured, shaking his head lightly. Really, it was strange: despite all the wonders that Lucas had already accomplished, the fact that he still continued to hold onto Remus so tightly, as if Remus could really be of any decent help to him, surprised, honored and frightened him at the same time. Yes, of course his bond to Lucas was strong, but surely only because he was the first master Lucas had ever had. Not wanting to think along those lines, Remus rolled onto his side to peck Lucas’s lips. “I promise you that I’ll remain by your side until the very end…whenever and however it may come,” he solemnly swore.

Dameon smiled when Gregori nipped at his lip. If his childe could be so playful, then it meant that Dameon had been forgiven. He guessed he had given his childe many confusing things to think about and inwardly, the Ancient sighed. It would take a while until he could put the new memories and discoveries, not to mention how much he and Gregori had both, unintentionally, hurt each both to rest and only concentrate on the moment. Sweeping his childe up into his arms, Dameon once again stood up. Stepping out the bath tub, he walked his childe into their room. His eyes changed colors as he conjured up a warm wind to dry them both. Laying Gregori down on their bed, Dameon placed his fists on his hips, his lips curving upwards into a seductive smile. “So…I believe we had unfinished business to take care of…”

As assuring as the words that came from his Sire's lips were, it still left him a little uneasy about the topic. Finally just giving up and letting the promise satisfy him for now. He nuzzled at the man and curled up to him. Closing his eyes only for a short moment as he relaxed against his Sire. His fingers of one hand clinched to the man's shirt, but the other twirled a stray hair from Remus' head as it seemed to help sooth his worries if only a little.

Gregori squirmed as he was brought closer to his Master and was brought up to stand. Following after his Sire, but stopping in the doorway as a blush raced across his cheeks as he peered out. A little weary of the other two and hoped that they had gone somewhere other than the hallways of the place. But not seeing anyone else, he followed into his Master's room. Flinching for a short moment when he was dried off by a warm wind, he would never get use to what his Master was capable of. Being laid down and fists against his hips. His gaze lifted to the words that were spoke. A small gasp entered his lungs as a dark blush arched over his cheeks. Nodding after a long moment. "What are you going to do to me... Master?" He asked softly.

Remus tried to close his eyes as well, but the psychic signal he was getting from Lucas wasn’t calm- quite the opposite. Even though his fledgling was lying there beside him, seemingly trying to get some sleep, it was obvious that internally he was steaming. Something was on his mind and it occurred to Remus then that while he’d babbled stupidly about his past that seriously no one cared about and wasn’t even important right then, he hadn’t even bothered to properly ask Lucas what he had experienced and who that person had being that he’d seen. Nestling his nose against Lucas, he smiled softly. “I like it how you’re playing with my hair, Lucas. But tell me…what exactly happened to you when that dreadful book opened?”

Dameon began to chuckle darkly. So, so- Gregori wanted to continue playing the little innocent childe who had no idea what was going on? Dameon’s smile became wolfish. “So you’re seriously trying to tell me that you want me to tie you up again?” he wondered teasily, but there was a light warning that swung with his words. Bending a knee and placing it right between Gregori’s legs, Dameon began to lean over his childe, bringing their noses close. “Let’s try that again, shall we? It’s not what I want to do…the question here is: what would YOU like me to do with you, Gregori?”

Lucas had closed his eyes and was starting to fall asleep when he heard his Sire. Blinking his eyes open to look at him for a short moment before closing his eyes and settled agianst the man. "I was pulled back into my mind. I saw the one within me that held all that knowledge that you said I possessed. He told me to go back, but not before opening the locks to let my conciousness to become aware of the knowledge." He said softly. "Then the next thing I know, Im laying on the floor and being forced to come back to the concious." He whispered.

Gregori flinched at the dark chuckle his Master was giving. But it was the words that reached his ears that had his cheeks flushing. The knee' being placed in between his legs, he squirmed and closed his legs a little. A slight twing of fear raced from his eyes and then was gone. Being leaned over, his gaze lifted to his Master at the words that were spoken to him. His cheeks darkened as he tore his gaze away from his Master. "I... want you... to take me again, Master." He whimpered softly. The domination that his Master was displaying in front of him, had his body shuddering lightly.

Remus’ face was one of confusion. “Opening the locks to your consciousness? Become aware of your knowledge? Is that…is that some kind of riddle?” he wondered, pretty much mystified. “And…did he show you how? I mean, before Dameon pulled you back, did that…other you, you said? What did he look like? Was he your twin? Did he also have wings? Why doesn’t he just share his knowledge with you? Could he also help us out of our current predicament? Is there a way for you to contact him again whenever you’d like to?”

Dameon pushed slightly off the bed, drawing his face away from Gregori’s to lick a pentagram over his childe’s chest. Pressing a tender kiss to it, he whispered something and then, all of a sudden, the bed, the bedroom, the dimly flickers of the candles inside the room vanished and all at once, he and his childe were inside a dark cave. The sound of waves slowly gushing forward to meet rocks reached Dameon’s ears and he smiled when he saw his childe’s reaction. Turning his head to the left, he could just make out the ruffled ocean and above, the myriad of stars. Chuckling as he planted a kiss below Gregori’s left nipple, Dameone glanced into his childe’s eyes. “Do you remember the first time we visited this place?”

Lucas raised a brow as he listened to his Sire. Sighing softly and shaking his head, it seemed the man misunderstood what he had said. "He is me, looked just like I do. That part of myself was locked away, I wasn't able to access it unless danger was around. But now that knowledge is mine. I no longer need to contact him as I have the powers, the spells, the knowledge within my mind. And I can access it at any time I need to." He said softly. "As for now, I just need to perfect my skills and powers. I am still not completely confident in my powers and I fear them a little. I just need to learn how to do things with confidence."

Gregori blinked as he watched his Sire, almost confused as to what the man was doing. Barely hearing the whispers before everything seemed to turn upside down for him. Groaning softly as his eyes opened, he wasn't even sure if he had closed them or not. His gaze lifted to the sounds of the ocean, and the cave around them. But it was the words that came from his Master that had him lifting his gaze to him. The memories flooding to his mind at the first time his Master had taken him here. A dark blush raced across his cheeks. Nodding after a long moment. "I.. Remember." He whispered softly.

Remus was still stumped. So it was…as if some kind of internal blockade had been removed, leaving Lucas free access to all the magical knowledge that Dameon had been planning on getting Lucas to painstakingly learn? Well, if that were the case, Remus was rather relieved. He didn’t think he would have been able to accept being parted from his fledgling for much longer. A happy smile graced his lips and Remus cuddled Lucas closer to his chest, closing his eyes again as he stifled a yawn. “Those are wonderful news, Lucas. I’m very happy for you. Don’t worry- we’ll figure out the rest tomorrow,” he promised sleepily.

Dameon smiled peacefully. “It was shortly after you’d been turned. You told me one teary night that you missed the ocean of your home country and that, as a small boy, you had discovered a small cave near the sea. And that you wished to return to it, but back then you still weren’t powerful enough to fly there, but longed to see it with your own eyes and hear the calming lull of the ocean,” the Ancient remembered, kissing Gregori’s lips. “And do you remember what I told you before I wrapped you up into my arms and brought you here?” he asked quietly, lowering his aroused body to touch Gregori’s.

Lucas smiled and nodded at his Sire's words that reached his ears. He nuzzled closer to Remus and settled down more. Now that he didn't feel as if something bad was going to happen to him. At least for the rest of the night. He closed his eyes as he curled up to Remus more.

Gregori raised a brow as he heard his Master. Lowering his gaze as he tried to remember. The memories were so foggy and he wasn't able to remember everything that had happened that night. "I... I remember wanting to see the ocean again. But... for some reason, I can not remember what you had told me before you had brought me here..." He whispered as he lifted his confused gaze to his Sire. His cheeks still holding a light blush as his Master's body was pressed against his own.

Waiting to watch over Lucas until his fledgling’s breath had evened out and the fingers curled into his chest loosened a little, Remus only then allowed his eyes to close. Pulling the bed sheets up to around their shoulders, he kissed Lucas’s blond hair and then drifted off to sleep.

And just like that, Dameon’s hunger died down. Blatant disappointment crept into his eyes and all at once, the illusion he had created for his childe vanished- in one moment they were inside a cave by the seaside, but in the next they had returned to their old bedroom. Dameon had specifically asked Gregori to remember an occasion that had happened long before he had begun to erase his childe’s memories. Why was it, then, that Gregori couldn’t remember? Dameon pushed off the bed and reaching down, picked up his pants and climbing back into them, he kept his face averted from his childe’s as he put on his shirt. It was clear, wasn’t it? He’d messed up the memory extraction. Dameon’s jaw clenched as he glided towards the door. “Good night,” he said rather coldly, his anger seeping through his veins at himself. Idiot!
