(@Nicholi, yeah! The seminar’s over…but I’m having another one next weekend…which means I’m gonna have to write more under the week  )

Remus growled quietly. There was Lucas, seduction in person, yet the slight fear he felt was visible in the tension in his body. And it was this observation that made him check himself. Yes, of course he could have forced himself onto Lucas, but at what cost? It was obvious he was a virgin when it came to these things and he didn’t want to do something that Lucas would later regret when he was thinking straight. And, Remus realized, he had a responsibility as Lucas’s creator. He was meant to be his teacher and, whether he had planned it or not, Lucas had become his new companion. This bound him to Remus for years to come, if not forever. So right then, he was going to have to put Lucas’s needs in front of his.

Touching Lucas’s face, Remus brought his lips to his fledgling’s and kissed him deeply. The surging need burned hotly within him, but gradually, eventually, he better regained control over himself again. There would be time- he had all eternity to prepare Lucas and, if necessary, he’d wait until his younger companion decided for himself that he was really ready. Slipping his strong arms between Lucas’s, Remus massaged former’s back and grasping his shoulders, dexterously played with Lucas’s tongue, slowly but surely pulling him closer and closer to the edge of the pool.

When Remus could feel Lucas’s arousal prodding his stomach, he ran a hand down and around his fledgling’s armpit and kissing down to Lucas’s chest, lowered his hand further down latter’s body to grasp a hold of his malehood again. Gently nibbling on the younger Vampyre’s jaw as his fingertips treasured the sensitive skin, muttering appraising groans when Lucas responded. Picking up the speed slightly as he lowered his second hand down his fledgling’s back to tease his bottom, Remus claimed Lucas’s mouth again with rapture. He could feel his own body heating up again and pulling away slowly, met Lucas’s eyes before beginning to trail a path of sucking, licking kisses down the center of the younger Vampyre’s chest, moving all the way down until his face was level with the aroused member.

Wanting to tease the younger man to see how he would react, Remus stuck his tongue out a licked once, twice, thrice slowly around the head of Lucas’s malehood, enjoying the reaction he was causing. His crimson tinged eyes alluringly seductive, he began to lick longer and harder, his hand on the erected flesh closing as he moved it faster. Not breaking eye contact yet, he kissed, licked, nipped and gently grazed his elongated fangs against Lucas’s excitement. The expressions on his fledgling’s face egging him on, Remus finally took him into his mouth. Swirling his tongue over, around and flicking it over the tip, he took Lucas’s malehood as deeply as he could.

Remus knew that Lucas wouldn’t be able to last long, especially not after he’d begun to tease the opening between his fledgling’s butt cheeks. Enjoying the smell, scent and taste of his young fledgling so much, Remus became overly excited and when he felt the tug against his hair, he knew that Lucas was reaching his limit. Unhurriedly allowing Lucas’s malehood to slip out his mouth, Remus pinched the bright, erect nipples before gently biting them. “Let go, Lucas,” he coaxed seductively, manipulating his fledgling’s malehood even faster before taking him back into his mouth again. Eyes fixed on the beatific face before him, Remus sent out his mind to touch Lucas’s. Let go. Give yourself over to me.

Ah... sounds fun.)

Lucas had not expected what happened next. Remus' lips against his own in a deep hot kiss, a soft gasp leaving him as his eyes closed for a short moment. The hands that roamed over his back, only caused him to squirm in the hold. His gaze lifting to the man in front of him, this man that was making him melt at the touches. Never had he ever felt anything like this, nor had he thought about anything like this could happen to him.

It was when he was pulled closer to Remus that he squirmed, being explored like this was beginning to become a torture to himself. But he could not bring himself to say anything displeasurable about it. The more his maker explored his body the more Lucas would squirm and react toward him. His hands reached for Remus as once again he was being kissed. Not to push the older away from him, but the security of the other.

Soft gasps left him as Remus continued to explore, and tease him in ways that left Lucas squirming for more. But it was when his manhood was being licked at teasingly that caused him to bite his lower lip harsly. Fighting to stay still as much as he could, but with how sensitive his body was only caused him to whimper and squirm. The blush on his face darkened quite a bit more as a soft moan left him.

It was when he was taken in, that a hard shudder ran over him. His hands clinching in Remus' hair. A soft pant began to leave his lips. But it was the words that reached his ears. A hard shudder ran over him, holding back a little as he was taken in once again. The words echoing in his mind caused his body to tense and another hard shudder raced over him as he came. Panting softly, his body shook a little. But his gaze lifted to Remus, as a blush stayed on his cheeks. Unable to stand on his own if he were not in the man's arms.

(@Nicholi – voilà!)

Remus hungrily lapped up what Lucas offered him, his eyelashes fluttering at the pleasurable taste. It had really been so, so long. Any lingering doubts that Lucas might not have enjoyed his touches as much as he’d hoped he would were erased when he saw the deep flush of satisfaction on Lucas’s cheeks. Kissing, stroking and licking his fledgling’s malehood clean, Remus wrapped his arms around Lucas and pulled him back into the warm water, hugging him closed. He didn’t know why, but he sensed that Lucas needed the warm and closeness as a form of comfort after such unknown intimacy. He himself was still aroused and he didn’t hide it as it accusingly pushed against his fledgling’s lower belly, but Remus held back. Not too much at once.

Hugging Lucas close, Remus kissed him sweetly over and over again, encouraging former to respond. Lucas was a fast learner and Remus thoroughly enjoyed the heated exchange. It really had been too long since he’d allowed himself this kind of pleasure and even though none of this had been planned, he was glad that now that it had happened, it had happened with Lucas. His fingertips tenderly brushing over his fledgling’s birthmark, Remus kissed Lucas’s eyelids softly. “I know you must have so many questions to ask me, Lucas,” he said, absentmindedly playing with the ends of the younger man’s blond curls. “And I promise you that I’ll answer as many of your questions as I can tonight.”

Cupping Lucas’s face in his hands, Remus’s eyes searched the younger man’s expression for any traces of discomfort. “You have to know that I won’t leave your side anymore. I was against Turning you, but I couldn’t let you die. This isn’t the life I would have wished for you, but I’m glad you’re here. You probably don’t know what to think of all of this and even though I want you very badly right now, I understand that you can’t give yourself so freely to me yet. So, until the day comes when you think you can reciprocate my feelings for you, I’ll wait.

And in the meantime, I’ll try to show you and teach you how to live as a Child of Darkness. I have many different estates where we can be by ourselves, secluded from prying eyes. You have a lot to learn and one day you will be able to feed off human blood. In the meantime, however, before you really feel more confident about your new self, you can drink my blood.” He licked off some faint drops of blood from where Lucas had bit himself, smirking. “Something I assure you is highly pleasurable.” Taking his fledgling’s hand, he began to move towards the pool steps again. “Come now. I shall show you to my clothing room. There you can select yourself something to wear and when you’re ready, we can talk.”

Lucas' body shuddered as he was cleaned up, the release was still to fresh in him, making him overly sensitive. His gaze lifted up to the man as he was pulled closer to him and then being led back into the water. His hands finding their way to the older's chest, his gaze skimming over the pale chest in front of him. Everything seemed to be happening fast to him, making his head spin on its own. But it was the feeling of something pushed up against his stomach that caused him to still and a bright blush racing across his face again.

Being so close to the man that had changed him, he lifted his gaze as he was kissed repeatedly. Causing him to relax into the kisses and touches. It felt different... different than before he was this. The words that played in his ears caused him to look up at his maker. He was being unusually quiet, but one would figure that what had happened in such a short amount of time was confusing to him and that he was trying to figure things out on his own... to a point.

Nodding a moment when he was told that his questions would be answered later tonight. His face lifted as it was cupped, yet nothing discomforting showed. He was surprisingly comfortable in the man's embrace, but it was when he heard the man that caused him to still. A fleating fear flickered in his eyes for a short second before if disappeared hearing that the man wouldn't leave his side anymore. Just those words caused him to move closer as a shiver ran down his spine. No one had ever said or proved to him that something like that would happen.

Even after his parents passed away, he had been alone. He just hoped this man's words were true and that he wouldn't have to live in fear of such things. But it was the next words that caused a blush to rise to his face again. Chewing on his lower lip for a long moment as he listened to the man. When his hand was taken, his gaze lifted as he was led to the steps of the pool. Nodding after a long moment as he was led out of the pool.

Pausing for a long moment after they had exited the pool. His gaze lifted to his maker, something seemed to stir in him. Confusion in his eyes gave him away as he tried to understand this new emotion. "R-Remus..." He whispered softly. He moved closer to the man so that he was skin to skin with the man once again. His gaze lifted up to meet with his maker's. "I love you..." He said softly. It was true that he was confused of the emotion that raced inside of him. But he felt that he needed the contact from his maker. His gaze lowered as if he were setting himself up for rejection from the man.

Honestly... one could not fault him for his actions. He was still confused, a little frightened, and defiantly unsure of himself right at this moment. But he was sure of his emotions even if it did confuse him. And he actually did feel something for this man, a lot more than what he had ever felt for anyone else.

Once again, Lucas had surprised him and thrown him completely off balance. Remus had been planning on taking Lucas straight into the grand bedroom he used solely to store his vast collection of clothes and while his companion lost himself searching amongst the clothes, Remus would have locked himself away to take care of his extreme arousal. Hearing Lucas suddenly and unexpectedly whispering words of love to him and seeking out his closeness made him freeze up.

No, what Lucas was saying was wrong. He couldn’t and didn’t love him. How could he, when he had hardy known Remus for a week? That the two of them were linked to each other was a given fact because he was Lucas’s creator and as such felt a special bond to him. And yes, even though they had just shared such an intimate moment and on his side certain feelings he had believed to have killed within him were beginning to blossom, hearing Lucas mumbling those words so immediately after left a bad aftertaste in his mouth.

The folly of his actions returned to slap Remus hard across the face. What the hell had he been thinking? He’d given in to a few moments of carnal lust and now he had caused a feeling of guilt within Lucas. The poor, confused Vampyre fledgling probably didn’t have a clue what had been done to him, his sweet, innocent mind probably completely overtaxed after Remus’s brash and unprepared attack. If Lucas was supposed to be the Savior those two old physics had professed him to be, then he shouldn’t be tied to anyone, least of all to Remus. No, the poor boy must feel violated and shocked.

With more force than was absolutely necessary, Remus pushed his fledgling away. “Don’t be stupid,” he said garishly, avoiding Lucas’s eyes as he stormed, naked, towards the doors of the pool area. “Don’t confuse lust and love. When I said I wanted you, I only meant your body. I do not love you and you certainly don’t love me. You hardly know me at all. What we will have, if at all, will be strictly physical, nothing more. After all,” he sneered as he threw the doors open, turning around to face a pale-faced Lucas, “you’re supposedly the “Savior” of our race, aren’t you?” Seeing the emotion in Lucas’s eyes, Remus hastily turned around and paced fast towards his changing room.

Could it be? He wondered and if he’d had a heart, it would have been beating all out of tune. Could it really be that the younger Vampyre really believed his own words? Did he really and truly believe that he had fallen in love with Remus? No, impossible. Because if he had and Remus had brushed his love confession aside so nastily, then…Remus shook his head, closing his eyes in anguish. No, he wouldn’t allow himself to go there. As Lucas’s creator, he had the obligation of teaching his fledgling to first fend for himself and not how to become his next lover. He needed to concentrate on that and that he would.

Lucas had followed him, painfully slowly, into the dressing room. Using his mental powers, Remus opened all the doors to the fifty closets, wardrobes and shoe chests that contained the contemporary clothes of the past hundred years. “Select yourself something to wear and then return to my sleeping chambers. I’ll wait there for you,” he commanded coldly. He believed to see Lucas flinch and this once again caused him remorse, but he did his best not to show how much this affected him.

Closing the doors on his fledgling, Remus returned to the heated pool area in a flash, sinking into the water. He felt physically and mentally ill after having treated Lucas so badly, but guessed that it was necessary not to expect too much from his fledgling, especially not when it came to sexuality. He was like a small child in this new World of Darkness while at the same time he had the body of an adult. Trying to fix these two images just didn’t work for Remus and suddenly he realized that he was beginning to panic. What if Lucas hated him now? What if he’d pushed him too far and his fledgling left and went out into Venice? What if a stray Lycan came past and killed him because he, Remus, had been too busy satisfying his own selfish desires instead of tending to his fledglings?

I have to start Lucas’s training right away, he decided, all thoughts of pleasuring himself gone at the thought of harm coming to Lucas. Washing his hair and body quickly, Remus commanded a new set of clothes to fly to his sleeping chambers and once he had made it there and changed, he sat down to wait for Remus. His fledgling would be able to find him- the special bond between him and his creator would lead him to Remus. Yet if Lucas didn’t return soon, Remus would go after him. And if he did return, Remus was bent on not showing just how much he himself was beginning to feel for his fledgling. I need to be his teacher before I am his lover, he tried to hammer this into his head as he impatiently waited. I need to be his lover- err, his teacher before I can love him. But would he really be able to keep his longing and need at bay?

aw... poor Lucas. Hm... wonder whats gonna happen next? )

Lucas flinched as he was pushed away. Pain and confusion settled in, this man had said he wouldn't leave him. But this act was beginning to show that just maybe the man was going back on his word. Hurt was etched over his face and in his eyes as his gaze lifted to the man when he spoke. Not able to bring himself to say anything as he was accused of not knowing what he was feeling. But he did know the difference between lust and love.

It had taken him a little while to force himself to follow after the man. Tears wanted to well up into his eyes, but he faught them back. Hearing the command, he bit his lower lip and forced his gaze down to the floor. To keep the tears from being shown. Once Remus had left the room, he collapsed to his knee's. Tears streaking down his face, everything was so confusing and now the harsh words that replayed in his mind from what Remus said.

Icy blue gaze stayed on the floor of the room for a long moment. What was happening to him? Everything was happening to fast for him to catch. His eyes turned glassy in those short moments, and the icy gaze darkened to almost a black color before his body fell the rest of the way to the floor. Had Remus pushed him to this point? Had the man not realized just how much Lucas needed this?

A human heart... such a fragile thing. Everything was dark within this realm. He was no longer physically in his body, but in his minds realm were he had unknowingly been forced into. A dim glow surrounded a suspended figure. Chains gripping at the torso and wrists that kept him from moving. But the most shocking part of this creature... black feathery wings that were drooped behind him. He had not the strength to break free from his prison. And the light of this human heart was fading... fast. This poor creature, with his icy blue eyes hidden behind closed lids and pale complexion was the true form of Lucas.

The form that Lucas would be when the time came.

Remus began to become restless. Why was Lucas taking so long? Sure, there were lots of different clothes and it was likely that the younger Vampyre was unsure of what would fit him, but somehow Remus began to sense that something had gone wrong. He wasn’t as highly distraught as he would have been had he sensed that Lucas had left his estate, but still, something made him get up and exit his sleeping quarters. Lucas still had to be inside the room filled with all his clothes, but the fact that he wasn’t responding to the silent messages that Remus was sending him was discomforting.

Quickly hurrying along, Remus broke into a flat out sprint when he saw Lucas’s naked figure crumpled over on the wooden floor. “Lucas!” he cried in shock, appearing beside his fledgling and turning him over, shook him slightly, staring down into the pale, empty expression. “Lucas! Lucas, what’s wrong? Answer me! Lucas? Lucas!” Most unlike Remus, his voice was panicky and when Lucas still remained stiff and didn’t respond, Remus swept him up and transported him back to his sleeping quarters.

Back inside his sanctuary, Remus calmed down somewhat. Laying Lucas down on the bed, Remus went back to his oldest memories from the time when he had been turned. Had something similar ever occurred to him? Had he ever fallen into what seemed like a state of shock and hadn’t been able to get out of it again by himself? No, nothing in any way comparable had happened to him and once again Remus was filled with remorse by his actions. Had he himself caused Lucas to fall to this pitiable state? Had his rude rebuff caused this, this…state of shock? Where was Lucas right then? Had he retreated into a deeper part of himself, or was he perhaps having an out-of-body experience?

Wherever he was, it wasn’t natural and Remus didn’t really know what he had to do to make Lucas return to the here and now. Thinking back to what had occurred between them, Remus recalled how Lucas had tried to cuddle up to him, seeking guidance in the form of body warmth and closeness. Perhaps that was the answer. Maybe if he embraced Lucas and simply held him, speaking to him so that the other man could hear his voice, maybe that would be enough.

Slipping beneath the sheets with Lucas and holding his naked body close to his clothed one, Remus gingerly weaved his fingers through his fledgling’s shoulder-length blond hair. “Lucas,” he said quietly, speaking directly into the younger man’s ear as he kissed the ear. His arms around Lucas tightened. “Lucas, I’m here. And I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to frighten you. Please, come back. Follow my voice back to me and tell me what I have to do to make it up to you again.” Nuzzling Lucas’s still cheek with his long nose, Remus rolled Lucas onto him, rubbing his back, bottom, shoulders and hair, trying to warm him and show that he was there, that he hadn’t gone back on his word. “Please Lucas, come back. Tell me what you need. Please, don’t remain like this- I never meant to hurt you. Lucas, please. I…I need you.”

gah... a little short.)

Lucas' body didn't respond at anything Remus did to him, nothing seemed to work to bring him back out of the trapped realm he was in. The words that had somehow made it into this realm, make his body flinch a little against the chains. Yet no matter how much he tried to break those chains... They never gave. Tears mixed with blood trickled down his face, a beautiful sight that he was. But it would tug at anyones heartstrings to see such a creature trapped and unable to move.

He tried to speak to Remus, but the words were nothing but threads of sound that wouldn't reach past the minds realm that he was trapped in. Fear gripped at him that maybe this was it, this was what those ladies had warned about. The faint glow to himself was dimming and dying out slowly. But he had to try... he needed help. He needed Remus' help. Muscling up the last of his strength, he tried to reach for Remus. To let him know that something was terribly wrong. Long moments ticked by with no sound or movement.

"P-please... help me..." The words filled both the realm, and had slipped into the mind of his maker. Hopefully, he had been successful in getting the man to understand that he could not do this alone. That he was trapped in the mind realm of himself and that he needed Remus to free him. To see exactly what Lucas was, and what was going to be once he made it that far.

The scream that Remus suddenly heard inside his head was disproportionately loud and so strong that he was thrown right out the bed and against the marble wall of his sleeping chamber at the foot of his bed. Dazed as he slid to the floor, it took him a surprisingly long time to figure out how he had made it from the bed where he had been lying with Lucas to suddenly finding himself against the cold floor. His ears ringing from the terrified, pained scream, Remus touched a hand to his head. Had that really come from Lucas? How could that be possible? He was simply a fledgling and had such immense psychic powers already? Astounding.

Getting up on wobbly feet, Remus staggered to the bed, his crimson rimmed eyes sharpened as he slid back under the sheets and took a hold of Lucas. He had never dealt with such a power and still didn’t know what to do. His calls had somehow managed to reach Lucas and the terror in his voice told him that he was in trouble and unable to help himself. Somehow, even though he had never attempted it before, he was going to have to send his mind into that of his fledgling’s. He knew that it was possible- Aleixo had once visited him inside his mind when he had been seriously wounded during the Vampyre-Lycan War.

Closing his eyes and focusing only on his fledgling, Remus began to concentrate more and more of his powers on Lucas’s weakening echo. As he began to feel his consciousness slipping away from him and felt the mental barricade that surrounded Lucas’s mind, blood began to drip out between Remus’s lips. Throbbing, yet dull pain made itself known, yet he ignored it, concentrating all the harder. And suddenly, he found himself in a dark, ominous dungeon-like surrounding and there, right in front of him, Remus found himself staring at a chained version of Lucas, yet not of the Lucas he knew. Horrified, he gasped, stumbling back. “Lucas? Lucas!!”

Dark red eyes closed as he hoped that he had managed to get his maker to hear him. It had taken a lot out of him, barely able to keep his head from falling. If he could not get out of these horrible chains, that would be it. This very being would die, and alongso would the human heart that was bared in this body of his true form. Fear gripped at him as thoughts of surely perishing if no one came to save him.

The words didn't reach him at first, they seemed to echo out into the darkness that surrounded them. When they did reach his ears, His weakened gaze lifted with what strength he could move his head to look at the man a weakened groan leaving him. Haunted dark read eyes gazed at his maker, with a pained and saddened look on his face. The dim glow around him flickered a moment, as he faught to try and speak.

"R-Remus..." The voice was soft... yet only a thread of sound weakening within the moments. He tried to summon the strength to break the chains once again, only to be defeated as all the times before. "Please..." Blood red tears streaked down the pale face of this creature.

Remus stared at the chains that were holding onto Lucas with abhorrence. How on earth and what the hell had caused his fledgling to become so changed and chained to this dungeon wall? Could this really only have come from his having pushed him back after Lucas’s having confessed? Remus couldn’t bend his mind around it, but hearing how alarmingly weak his fledgling was becoming and the pallor of his skin, he knew he had to react and quickly.

The chains were the problem. Lucas was far too weak to struggle against their hold and Remus flew forward, his hands reaching out. Fierce, hot pain chorused through his body as he gripped the heavy chains and somewhere near the back of his mind, he knew that his real, corporal body would be suffering from this. Even though the pain was bad, it was bearable and he believed, as he began to yank, pull and jerk at the chains holding onto Lucas with all his might, that his fledgling’s eyes opened a little wider. Tugging at it with all his might, he gripped first the left chain in both his hands and then heaving himself up the wall to be able to yank with more force, his arms began to tremble from the effort. Opening his mouth and letting out an inhuman, feral scream, blood beginning to pour out his nose and mouth, Remus finally succeeded in breaking the left chain free from the wall.

Crippled, Remus dropped to his knees, wheezing. The pain was steadily increasing and he knew that if he didn’t hurry, he might not be able to return to his corporal body, which in the end would mean that Lucas would die, or at least a part of him. Giving up was out of the question, so even though it cost him a lot, Remus struggled to his feet and throwing himself at the last remaining chain, began to rant, rave and roar until the chain gave way and his fledgling fell helplessly into his arms.”Lucas,” Remus breathed out in relief, his energy having reached its limit. Letting go over his consciousness, Remus felt disoriented and then suddenly he was back inside his sleeping quarters, inside the bed, blood pouring profusely out of his mouth and nose, but he was holding Lucas. “Lucas? Lucas, are you here with me?” he asked shakily, reaching up painfully to brush the blond curls out his fledgling’s face.

Once the first of the chains had been broken loose, a soft groan left his lips. But it was when the last of the chains were broken off of him that caused him to fall into what seemed like a deep unending pit of darkness. What was only minutes, felt like hours to him as he tumbled, to weak to even use his wings in the minds realm.

His physical body did not respond at first when Remus had gathered him into his arms. No movement shown for the longest of moments. Had the man been to late to save him?

A loud rush of air gasped into his lungs as he fell back into his physical body. A hard tremble began to rampage him, before it stopped. Everything stopped. And for that moment he was safe. Icy blue eyes fluttered open with a soft groan that left his bloodstained lips. Most of his energy gone from him, he was weakened so badly from the experience that he would not be able to sustain his own weight.

A quick second past when he had opened his eyes, that the color quickly changed to a darkened red color. His pale skin, paled even more and showed almost transparency. His gaze moved weakly up to Remus while he was held in the mans arms, unable to get his voice to work correctly for a few moments.

"R-Remus..." It had been barely a whisper. He tried to get his body to move, yet it only showed with much straining on his face that he was much to weak to do so. Giving up on his attempt to move, his face turned into confusion as he lifted his dark gaze up to the man once more. "I.... don't understand..." He whispered. He remembered what happened back in his mind, but he didn't understand why it had happened in the first place. And why had he looked different back there.

Remus breathed out in relief, hugging Lucas close to his heart as he kissed his forehead and then leaned his against his fledgling’s. “You’re okay, you’re back here again. Oh Lucas, I’m so relieved. Don’t ever frighten me so much again,” he commanded harshly, trembling from emotion as he continued to weave his fingers through his younger companion’s blond hair. He had so many questions and knew that Lucas logically had to have about twice as many, but right then wasn’t the right time. In two hours, the sun would go up and by then, Remus would need to stock up on his blood level and also see to it that Lucas was properly fed after the exhausting night if he wanted his fledgling to survive the night well without much discomfort.

Lucas wouldn’t want him to leave him, but Remus didn’t have any other choice. The amount of blood he had lost was impressive and very dangerous. There was no way that Remus could take Lucas out in his state and have him near human beings. Guessing that Lucas wouldn’t react well to the idea of being left alone, Remus tenderly kissed his fledgling’s forehead and covering his eyes with his hands, sent a small amount of his power, knocking the younger man out. As Lucas’s muscles relaxed and he fell into a light slumber, Remus heavily climbed out the bed and jumping back into his estate, used up the last of his energy to wash himself, get changed and then leave for the streets of Venice.

Feeling the approaching sun coming closer and closer, Remus’s unease grew even more. This time was the worst for a Creature of the Night. Every cell, every bit of instinct within him warned him to return to where he would be safe, out of the sun’s reach. Already the sky was taking on a lighter shade of black and Remus felt his strength leaving him.

There was no time to be choosy, so the first two prostitutes he came across, he fed on. It was only because he needed and wanted Lucas to be more or less fed well that Remus forced himself to hunt down three more humans from the lower walks of life. The sky was becoming lighter at an alarming rate and still Remus didn’t return until he was feeling almost like his old self. Fleeing into his estate with less than twenty minutes left, he dropped down into his sleeping chamber to find that Lucas had woken up.

“I’m here,” he cooed, pulling Lucas into his arms and kissing him as he mentally ordered his sleeping camber to close, not letting any sunlight pass through. Freeing his neck again, Remus gestured for Lucas to feed from him. As Lucas moved towards him, Remus lay back against the pillow, exhausted. His eyes falling closed, the fatigue that took a hold of him made him drift off to sleep before he could reassure his fledgling that the two of them would try to figure out what had occurred to him the following night.

Lucas had not had time to try and come to terms before he was pretty much put under a compulsion to sleep. Unable to fight back against what was causing this. A soft whimper left him as his body relaxed and fell limply on the bed. Even though it wasn't a deep sleep, in his state he was unable to force himself awake.

That was until Remus was returning to the estate that caused him to groan and squirm against the bed in attempts to wake up. When he had fully awaken, that's when the hunger only settled in causing him to whimper loudly as Remus entered the room. His pain filled gaze lifted to the man as he was pulled into his arms.

Being kissed only caused him to forget about the pain for a short moment before Remus presented his neck. A soft whimper left his lips as he moved over the pale skin. A little slower than his first time, he nuzzled the skin a moment before biting into the flesh. Closing his eyes as he began to feed from the man.

It had not been long, the sun was already causing his body to fall into the deep slumber. A soft groan left him as he could feel his body becoming like lead. He was only able to get enough for the night before he fell into the deep sleep. But he knew that Remus would have to answer for what happened the night before.

The sun had set only a few minutes ago, and he had not woken up. He was curled up to Remus, looking as if he were searching for some type of comfort in his sleep.

Remus awoke to a sight that, had he had a heart, would have made it stop. When he opened his eyes the moment the final rays of the sun had vanished, the very first thing that he saw was Lucas. Lucas, his fledgling, lying in his arms, curled up against him, snuggled like a kitten. He looked so preciously vulnerable right then, so in need of comfort and love that Remus sighed out. Lucas really did look like a helpless child.

Kissing his fledgling’s lips tenderly, Remus left his sleeping chamber and went out into Venice to hunt. Returning quickly, filled with excessive blood, he settled back against Lucas and slipping his fingers between his fledgling’s curls, Remus softly nudged Lucas’s cheek with his nose before he began to gently kiss the younger man. He didn’t stop to think about this. In the short time that had traversed, Remus had found his original disregard for Lucas changing rapidly. And while the first time he had seen Lucas he had felt no special sentiments, the longer he kissed Lucas awake, the more Remus found himself enjoying this innocent form of intimacy.

When Lucas’s eyes fluttered open, Remus smiled at him faintly. “Hey,” he said, pushing Lucas’s fringe out his face. “You really gave me a fright back there.” He kissed Lucas again, slipping his tongue into the other man’s mouth and flicking his tip slowly over Lucas’s, made the kiss linger on, pulling Lucas onto him as he rolled onto his back, his arms tightening around him. “Feed yourself. And then, we have to talk. You must have a lot of questions.”

As Lucas fed off him, Remus continued to caress his hair with his fingers, hugging his fledgling tightly against his strong chest with his free arm. Calling up the strange figure that Lucas had become when Remus had entered former’s mind. He had to admit that he didn’t yet know what to make of this and that he might probably be asking a lot of Lucas if he asked his fledgling if he knew what this had been. Was this his true nature, the form he would become if he lost his mind, or was this perhaps the figure he was to become because he was the being the prophecy had described?

When Lucas had fed and the two of them were facing each other, Remus reached for former’s hand. Entwining their fingers, Remus faced Lucas. Taking in a deep breath, he began to speak. “Lucas, I need to know exactly what happened when I left you inside my clothing room. How did you get to that place where you were chained? I need to know everything.”

Lucas though he looked like a helpless child did not mean that he was not dangerous being made only a few nights before. But not as dangerous as his maker could be if something happened to go wrong. Once Remus exited the room, he curled up in the blankets on the bed with a soft whimper. Not waking from his slumber. Not yet.

A soft groan left him as he was kissed awake, a soft noise mixed between a groan and a purr left him as he slowly stirred awake. His bright eyes fluttered open to see his maker holding him. Hearing him and being kissed again, he nipped at the tongue a moment. Being pulled onto Remus as he rolled over, he stilled hearing the words coming from him.

Moving to reach the man's neck, he nuzzled the pale skin and bit down. Drinking slowly as he closed his eyes as he felt his hair being caressed. It had been a few moments before he detached himself from the man with a soft content noise. Sitting up as he was straddling the man below him. His hand taken from him and the fingers entwining, his gaze lifted to Remus' when he began to speak.

He thought back to what had happened the night before. Trying to figure it out himself as he shook his head, with a confused look on his face. "All I remember is going to the room, then you left." he said softly. "Everything went black and I couldn't see anything." he whimpered, a small tremble ran though him at the thought of the chains that had been on him. And even now if one looked closely at him, they could see faint marks that had been transisted into the physical body. Where the chains had dug into the body. "The chains... I couldn't break them." He whimpered.

"The next thing I know, is I woke up in your arms." He said. His body still trembling pretty badly, showing that he was quite terrified of the experience and didnt want to go through it again.

Remus never wanted Lucas to find out, but Lucas’s tale positively baffled him. As his fledgling had spoken, Remus’s sharp eyes had zoned in on Lucas’s wrists where he finally noticed that marks had remained on Lucas’s skin. Gently massaging the red marks away with his thumbs, Remus’s brow furrowed. What Lucas was describing surpassed all he had ever encountered or known. This went beyond anything he even knew existed, but then again, up until two weeks before, Remus had completely forgotten about the myth that seemed to turn into reality the more time he spent with his fledgling.

But this mysterious episode troubled him. If Lucas had no idea how he could have been teleported to such a place and Remus himself couldn’t fathom it, the chances of such an occurrence happening again were high. Too high. Calling up the words of the older psychics, Remus recalled that the being that had been prophesized was the one who would hold the key to saving the Vampyre race against destruction.

The knowledge that Lucas was and could possibly be this important being weighed heavy on Remus’s conscious. Who else knew of this myth? What if the Lycans were awaiting or perhaps already looking for him? The Winged Lucas he had seen- what devious creatures had wings like that? How was Remus supposed to defend his fledgling if he didn’t even know who he was even supposed to be looking out for?

When Lucas shyly squeezed his hand, Remus blinked, realizing that he hadn’t spoken and that the two of them had been seated in silence on his bed. It seemed almost impossible to believe that Lucas was only one day old- Remus himself felt as if he had aged a great deal since he had Turned his fledgling. Thinking back to the night before, Remus called up images of Lucas’s aroused face as he’d pleasured him and hastily glanced away, flustered. This wasn’t the time to be thinking about his lust for the younger man. In fact, hadn’t his having forced Lucas into giving into his feelings caused this harrowing experience?

Well, until he knew what had caused Lucas to almost die, Remus decided that he wouldn’t attempt getting so close again to his fledgling…even if it was going to be hell. Nodding, he stood up, motioning for Lucas to follow him. “Truth be told, I’m out of my depth here, Lucas. I don’t really know what happened. It sounds like my having come onto you have caused you to have something akin to a panic attack, but one unknown to any I have ever experienced or seen. And I’m beginning to believe that there’s a lot more to the myth than I’ve been wanting to see. To get some answers, I think it will be necessary for us to pay a visit to an old friend of mine. Perhaps he can help shed some light onto this matter.”

Showing Lucas how to jump lightly from their sleeping chamber and up into the room above, Remus paced purposefully towards the balcony facing the ocean. The journey he was about to undertake with his fledgling was a long one and one that Remus wasn’t all too happy to go on. The Vampyre he had in mind had once been a close confederate of Aleixo. And like his former lover, the being he was about to reveal Lucas to felt greatly attracted to young, handsome, vulnerable, seeming fledglings. Remus was going to have to be very careful that Lucas wasn’t taken advantage of.

Stopping on the balcony, Remus opened his arms for Lucas to step into. Hugging his fledgling tightly, he lowered his head. The urge to kiss Lucas was great, but Remus held back. “Lucas, I’m sorry. I don’t think it’s such a good idea for us to be so close. Until we know more, the two of us should…not let things get so carried away. I don’t want to almost lose you again like I thought I had yesterday. Now, hold onto me tightly- I’m going to take us away.” As soon as Lucas’s slender arms closed around his back, Remus bent his legs and jumped, heading for Canada.

, Gah.. I keep forgetting this mention thing. XD)

Lucas waited as Remus became silent and didnt speak for an amount of time. His expression seemed to deepen into fear that something may be really wrong with him. Flinching a little as his maker began to speak again, he relaxed. Finding out that Remus had no knowledge of what exactly happened the night before only caused him to be a little uneasy. But as the man thought there was more to the myth than the ladies had explained to them. He raised a brow. What else could there be? But then again... there could be more. Afterall... The one that spoke to those ladies left out parts that were not meant for humans to know.

Shifting a little as Remus stood up and showed him how to exit the room. He tried to do the same, only to make it out of the room and falling onto the floor. A soft groan left him as he stood up from his kneeling position. His gaze lifted when Remus paced over to the balcony. He followed after his maker, stopping when Remus paused a moment. But when he was gestured to step in, he did so.

Being held calmed his fears for a short moment. Yet, it was the words Remus spoke that caused his frightened gaze to lift to the man. Gulping a little, he tried not to show that fear. But it was a losing battle he had. Being told to hold onto him tightly, he slipped his arms around the man's back. Closing his eyes as he forced himself to forget what had happened to him the night before.

The images played in his mind as they traveled, where? He didnt know. He only hoped that just maybe something awful was not going to happen to him. Fear crept up on him once again as he held onto Remus, biting back that fear as much as he could. He didnt like being afraid, yet he had a damn good reason to be scared.

The flight to Canada, to be more exact Quebec, was a long one and one where Remus had too much time to enjoy Lucas’s closeness and his special scent. And regret that he had decided to bring his fledgling along with him to see Victor. Hugging him even tighter to his chest, Remus sent out his mind to touch Lucas’s. I really hope that Victor will help shed some light on this matter. I want to know everything I can about this myth surrounding you in order to protect you. I won’t let anything bad happen to you, I swear it to you. Until your true powers are revealed, I will defend you with all I have.

The moment he landed outside the secluded mountainside chalet, Remus smelled it. Pushing Lucas directly behind him and shoving him towards the door as it flew open and something black and blond streaked out, Remus bared his fangs, crouching down defensively, his eyes flashing a deep red. “Lucas, get inside. NOW!!” he shouted angrily, but then Victor was by his side, placing a restraining hand on his shoulder.

“It’s alright, Remus. The Lycan is dead. I killed him last night, but his stench still lingers here. There is nothing to worry about, relax. We’re safe…for the moment.” Remus slowly, unwilling, and only after he’d checked to see that Lucas was safe, stood up properly, turning to face the older Vampyre. Like the last time he had seen him, Victor was the eternal thirty-year-old, his long blond hair floating around his shoulders like a shiny cloud. “Remus. It’s been a while.”

Remus stepped into the embrace, tightly gripping Victor’s shoulders. “Yes, it has been.” Stepping back before Victor could think of anything stupid, he pulled away. “Victor, I need your help. I didn’t come alone this time.” “Yes, I noticed,” Victor said shrewdly, sending Lucas a look that had Remus’s blood jealously boiling. “He’s my new companion,” he felt the need to state clear and Victor snorted, looking at him with an arched eyebrow. “That little boy? You mean you’re still not ready for a real man?” Victor didn’t rise to the bait. Instead, he walked over to Lucas and placing a hand on his shoulder, squeezed it supportively. “Victor, what do you know about the Dragonslayer Birthmark myth?” .

Victor’s eyes widened. “How do you know about that?” he demanded, no more mirth in his voice or face, but dead seriousness. “What does that boy have to do with this? That isn’t something that should be discussed out here and in front of someone like him-” “I think he’s the Being the myth speaks about. He has the birthmark,” Remus cut him off, reaching over and raising Lucas’s shirt, revealed the mark. Victor was suddenly standing between him and Lucas. “I think the two of you had better come inside,” he decided tensely.

Lucas flinched as he suddenly heard Remus' voice in his head, then a calming sensation wash over him. Knowing that he was going to be protected was comforting. But there was an unknowing tenseness growing with what was about to happen when they landed. Would this Victor take him away from Remus, knowing what he was? Would the others want to keep him in a box and learn things about him when they found out what he would become later?

Lucas felt a little sick to his stomach as his mind raced over worrying thoughts. Yet, it was when his feet found the ground and being pushed behind Remus that his eyes widened. The angery words that were said caused him to tense. But it was a man that slid beside his maker that caused him to back away a little. Gulping as he thought that this was going to be harder than he thought before.

Fear etched itself all over his face, and his body was an uneasy tenseness. Being looked upon by this man caused him to tense ever more. It was when his gaze snapped over the man when he walked over to him that caused him to back away. He meant no disrespect towards the other, but he didnt know him. And the thoughts that had been in his mind just moments before were still fresh. As if he was fixing to be taken away from Remus.

A small whimper left him as Remus had moved to him and showed the birthmark to this man. His hands clinching at Remus' as his body trembled. Lifting his terrified gaze to his maker. As if searching for some reassurance that he would not be taken away. But it was when Victor moved in between them that caused him to back away even more with a loud whimper. "P-please... don't take me away."

So! Go ahead- please, give me some more info, because right now I really can't come up with a convincing version my character could explain to your character... :/// )

Victor glared at Lucas, sending him a menacing message. Remus didn’t know what passed between the two men, but he sensed the fear spiking within Lucas. “Victor, lead the way,” he suggested in a clipped tone, pushing Lucas in after him, but then holding onto him as he closed the door. Turning his fledgling to face him, Remus touched former’s cheek, caressing it with the back of his hand. “Lucas, no one will take you away from me. Victor is…is…” He took in a deep breath.

He had wanted to spare Lucas the details, but he knew that if Lucas had to find out from anyone else, then it would only make their relationship worse. Victor could be helpful to them, but for that, Remus needed Lucas to relax. It wasn’t going to be easy, but his fledgling needed to know.

“Victor was the maker of my maker, Aleixo. The two of them used to be lovers until Aleixo left him and found me. During the Final War, the three of us, amongst others of our race, fought together side by side to defend ourselves. Shortly after Aleixo, my maker, was murdered, I was destroyed. I fell into a state of insanity, was prepared to face a horde of our enemies alone and ask them to kill me. I saw no reason to continue living without Aleixo. Back then it was Victor who…convinced me to continue living.”

There was no point letting Lucas know just how long Victor’s “convincing” had carried on. That wasn’t the point. “Lucas, listen to me,” he insisted urgently as Victor called for them to follow him deeper into the chalet. “Victor can be trusted. He won’t take you away from me. If he believes in the Dragonslayer Myth, which I have reason to believe he does, then he and the rest of our race will try their best to see to it that your needs are attended and that you are kept save.” If anything, it should be Remus who was afraid that Lucas would want to leave him and not the other way around. Looking firmly into Lucas’s eyes, he leaned over and kissed him sweetly. “Help me to let me protect you.”

Walking into the dimly illuminated living room, Victor motioned for the two of his guests to sit down. Remus followed the invitation immediately, waiting until Lucas had slowly sat down before hastily recounting everything that had occurred to him and Lucas. Good, he left out the part about his and Lucas having been intimate, but described as best he could how Lucas had frozen into an unconscious state and had become trapped inside his mind. Victor listened carefully, his eyes narrowed as he studiously studied the fledgling. When Remus had finished, Victor took in a deep breath and leaning deeply back into his scarlet and golden armchair, touched the tips of his fingertips together beneath his chin. “Victor, tell us everything you know about the Dragonslayer Brithmark and the myth attached to it. Please, I need to know everything you do. We need to protect Lucas and I still don’t exactly know how.”

Ok, I hope you don't mind me using Victor for this part. As It would be easier for me to get this out. You can have victor back after my post. XD)

Lucas lowered his gaze as the look had been sent his way. He was an untaught vampire, he didnt know any better. And the fact that everything was coming out in the open now only made his fears worse. Lifting his gaze to his maker, he bit his lower lip a moment. Hearing the explanation of this man, he relaxed a little. Not completely, but enough so that he wasn't jumping at anything that made a sound.

Being kissed so gently, caused him to still a moment before he was led into the room. Sitting down when he was gestured to.

As Victor watched Lucas, he began to think back to the myth that had been well known to the ancients. Knowing the story well enough that he could tell the whole thing from memory. Pausing for a long moment as he listened to Remus.

"Hm... I really wish you had not come across him. I wish someone that had known the full story and how to act upon it had come across the boy." He started. "It is a dangerous mission that is now yours Remus. Protecting Lucas until his powers are presented will be a daunting task. This unconscious state he was in, isn't well known to us. But it has been mentioned a few times among a few of the elders. This unconscious state was actually Lucas being trapped in his own Minds Realm. We all have one, but... It seems that you seemed to of gotten him out safely. If you had not..." He paused looking at Remus for a short moment.

"His human heart would of died right there. There is no doubt that Lucas in his mind realm looks different than he does in his physical form, am I right?" He said. "That is because the one you seen in the Minds Realm, is the true form of the DragonSlayer."

"Being in the Minds Realm for to long can even cost you your life Remus. You are foolish in attempting it without training of the sort... But even now, I myself on behalf of the rest of us thank you for doing so. Losing this boy will cause tragedy to the whole race." He said with a soft sigh. "As for what is to happen, For now... Train him, show him what he is to learn as a vampire." He paused for a long moment.

"I warn you now Remus. That human heart... do not destroy or break it!" He said sternly. "I do not know what brought on that experience, but I have a feeling something happened between the two of you that caused it." He explained. "Watch what you say to him, he may be able to take more than you think. But you say the wrong thing and it could cause that heart to break. Oh... and do not be surprised if he does something that causes you to feel overwhelmed. The human heart can do that very easily. So far as I can see, he is nothing but a frightened fledgling that jumps at anything that moves." He ran a hand over his face gently before he straightened up. It was a little tiring thinking back to the old story. Though he did his best to explain what was to happen to the fledgling.

"Oh another word of advice... You may want to stay close. If something happens then I can help you. I would really hate for something to happen and you are unable to help him or save him and be so far away that even myself is unable to reach before..." He let his voice travel off.

(OCC: @ Nicholi Actually, Victor belongs to both of us, just like the psychic sisters did *ahem, I thought...oh dear, there I go controlling everyone again, ahem...* I made an overly long passage here- and it's 2 in the morning again *groan* Ipromise to write more tonight! And thanks for the input- my mind's back on track again ;-) )

Remus listened very carefully to what Victor had to say, taking it all in, absorbing like a sponge. It had been right to come to see Victor- he was far, far wiser than Remus was and he had seen and lived much, much longer. Of course he had known about the Dragonslayer Myth and the longer Remus listened, even though his heart grew heavy at the trials and tribulations that lay ahead of him, he was also secretly relieved. His having been the one to Turn Lucas meant that he was bound, if only by obligation, to the younger man. It gave him an excuse to keep Lucas by his side and also to warn his fledgling against wandering off to be with another companion.

But it would mean that Remus would really have to show Lucas everything he knew about being a Creature of the Night. He would see how long their stay in Canada would be, but once they returned to Venice, Remus would properly start with the training.

Hoping that Lucas was feeling a little better after having heard the explanation – it was so wild and frightening to have heard that he could actually have died in the dark corners of Lucas’s mind realm – Remus rose when Victor did. “You two should stay for the night. And maybe even longer if necessary,” Victor cautioned him. “That Lycan I disposed of last night could have been one on the lookout for Lucas. Until I’m sure that he really is alright and not as volatile as he seemed when he arrived, it might really be better to keep him under my extra supervision.”

Remus didn’t appreciate being looked down upon, but if it was for Lucas’s sake, then maybe he should bite his teeth together and bear it. He nodded. “You might be right. And thank you for your time and knowledge.” Victor clapped his back. “Anytime, Remus. Come this way, Lucas- I’ll show you to your sleeping quarters.”

Remus made to follow his fledgling into the guest sleeping chamber, but Victor put a restraining hand on his arm. No, leave him, he heard Victor’s voice inside his head. Lucas is bewildered and tired. He needs to get some rest. And so do you. Bringing him here must have tired you. Wordless, Victor turned around, taking Remus to a part of the house he knew all too well: it had been the room where Victor had seduced him 150 years before, just after Aleixo’s death. Thinking back to how he’d confessed this to Lucas and recalling that his fledgling hadn’t seemed to be in the least bit jealous, Remus felt a flare of indignation. Really, did he need anymore proof that Lucas had confused love with lust?

Stopping beside the large bed, Remus made to turn around and briskly wish Victor goodnight, but Victor’s arms wrapped themselves around him and before he knew what was going on, Remus had turned his face to the side and kissed him hotly. Remus froze up, surprised and guilty at the same time. What if Lucas were to walk in right then? He might think that Remus was cheating on him…well, not really, since Lucas had just proven that he didn’t give a damn about him in that way. Relaxing marginally, Remus leaned into the kiss, responding.

Victor broke the kiss, licking the side of Remus’s neck. “You know, when I saw your fledgling, I wondered if I shouldn’t perhaps seduce him tonight, but seeing as to how important he is and how carefully we’re going to have to treat him, I think it might be better for the two of us to rekindle our relationship.” He smirked. “You had sex with him and that shocked him so much that he fell to that pitiful state, didn’t he?” Remus bared his fangs and Victor loosened former’s long silver hair. “Remus, don’t make yourself angry. He can’t be your lover in the long run. Lucas is destined to be more- he won’t belong to you alone, but to our race. He has a purpose and for that, he needs you now, it’s true, but not in the future. Tying yourself to him won’t bring you anything but heartache.” He licked Remus’s neck again. “Heartache I have the perfect cure for.” And without warning, he vanished.

Exhausted, Remus sat down on the bed, wishing his insides weren’t so much in turmoil. Yes, he felt overly attracted to Lucas and even though Victor had insinuated that Lucas wouldn’t break if Remus did touch him, he was probably right that in the long term there was no hope for them. If Lucas was to become that creature he had seen…Victor was right: Lucas was far too important to reduce him simply to a bed story. And yes, Victor had been his lover, so what was wrong with returning to him? Maybe that way, by separating his teaching and intimate relationship, he might be able to focus better on Lucas.

Mind halfway made up, Remus removed his long coat and opened the first buttons of his shirt to reveal his long neck and chest. Running a hand through his long hair, he stepped out into the corridor, making to head towards Victor, when he surprisingly walked straight into Lucas, so lost in thought as Remus was. “Lucas!” he cried in surprise, hastily trying to close his shirt-had his fledgling perhaps been eavesdropping? Had he overheard? Remus swallowed, searching his fledgling’s face for a clue. Please, he silently begged to himself, please, stop me from going to Victor. If there’s anything you feel for me, be it only lust, show me now, please, before I do something I might regret forever.

Lol, ok.)

Lucas followed after he was led to his room for the day. Groaning softly, he turned around to look at Remus. But neither of the men were there. Wrapping his arms around his stomach after a moment as if he thought they had abandoned him. Then the words from before entered his mind. No... His maker would never leave him. That very man had promised it.

Hunger was beginning to grip at him once again, but it was only the beginning of hunger that coiled in his stomach. Leaving the room, in hopes that just maybe he could find his maker. But he wasn't expecting what he would hear when he entered the hallway just a few steps away from the room the men had been in.

Lucas paused out in the hallway, his ears picking up faint voices in a different room. But it was the key words that struck the hardest at him. He was still confused, and that mixed with distraught of what he was hearing only caused his heart to hurt. Tears welled up into his eyes as Remus walked right into him. A soft whimper left his lips as he lifted his saddened gaze up to his maker.

He had not meant to hear the words that had come from Victor, but it had happened anyways. A small tremble ran thought him, between confusion, hunger, and a deep hurt that Remus might not love him like he himself felt towards his maker. He did the only thing he could at that moment. He moved closer to the man, nuzzling at him a moment. "Please..." He whimpered. "Is it such a terrible thing for me to love the one that has turned me? The very one that has saved my life." He asked softly. Lifting his up to meet with Remus'.

And even though it kept on occurring, it continued to throw Remus each time when Lucas did or said something unexpected. As far as he was concerned, he hadn’t sent his fledgling any message, but somehow he had landed up saying exactly what he had wanted and needed to hear in that moment. Was that the way it perhaps always was between a maker and his fledgling? Would he and Lucas always remained so attuned to each other, even when Lucas had uncovered all the secrets there were to be learned of the night? Was this affinity and proximity to another Vampyre perhaps also the reason that Remus had almost gone insane after Aleixo had died?

It was there in his fledgling’s eyes and Remus really believed, in that moment, that Lucas loved him. Or at least believed he did and that was exactly what he needed to hear and believe in that moment. Hearing his fledgling saying such words by himself and without the two of them having been in any intimate situation only added more conviction to these words and when Lucas’s saddened blue eyes met his, Remus saw the different emotions there, saw into Lucas’s soul. And wanted nothing more than to be the one to own it.

“Lucas, you can love me,” Remus whispered back, nuzzling his nose against Lucas’s. “I believe I have very strong feelings for you too, probably even love, but I don’t want to put you in any pain. I don’t want you to be unwillingly put into danger by me because I lose my mind. Your scent intoxicates me and your body attracts me in so many different ways. Oh, the things I could do to you,” he growled, kissing his fledgling suddenly and viciously. Grazing Lucas’s bottom lip so that he could taste his fledgling’s blood, he realized by the red that flashed through Lucas’s eyes that his fledgling was still hungry. That was unusual- he ought to have been filled up after he had fed off Remus.

Taking his hand, Remus led him to the bed, closing and locking the door with his powers. Slowly unbuttoning his shirt and letting it drop seductively to the floor, Remus began to speak as he loosened his hair, shaking it out behind him. “Lucas, when we return to Venice, I will teach you many practical things. You’ll need to know how to feed for yourself, how to fly and use your dark powers born from the night. The training won’t be easy, but I’ll be there every step of the way to help you. And,” he added as he knelt on the bed and began to crawl towards his fledgling, “if you want, I can also teach you more about other things. But only if you properly ask me to after you’ve fed from me.”
