Lucas' gaze lifted to Remus as the hand had been held out for him to take. Not even having the strength to disobey Remus' command, he took ahold of the hand as he was being forced to stand. It was when his face was forced against the neck he bit down on the flesh. Drinking as he closed his icy eyes, slowly at first. His body was still quite tense from the stand off he had been in with an ancient. Once the blood began to pour into his mouth, he began to relax not feeling any threat within the place anymore.

Gregori let out a soft sigh before he vanished into the night.

A flinch ran through his body when the entrance to the sleeping chamber was slammed shut, but he kept drinking from his Master. Taking more than he had in the past, but he needed it and they both knew that. Moments ticked by before he finally detached himself from Remus with a low growl rumbling through his chest. Breathing heavily as he let himself fall against the bed under him. His sharp gaze landed on Remus for the longest of moments, he was still present in the physical realm. He had not retreated completely to the mind.

But he was there at the same time, locking doors down. Hiding things away within his mind that he wished no one to find. When he had finished his task his wings shifted behind him a moment before sitting up on the bed. His mind reached out around him, as his gaze did not weaver from Remus. "I know you are upset." He said softly.

Lucas drank more than he had ever drunk before, but Remus was relieved. He knew he shouldn’t have spoken so harshly to Lucas and now, in retrospect and without Victor or Gregori looking at him and making him feel like the most useless master in the universe, Remus allowed himself to be factual: he had taken his misguided anger out on his fledgling. It had been wrong and, if he wasn’t careful, Lucas might understand him wrong and possibly fall into another imbalanced state.

When Lucas eventually let go of him, leaving Remus slightly dizzy from the loss of blood – he was going to have to feed more excessively in the nights to come to cover for both himself and Lucas – Remus ran a hand through his long silver hair.

He had planned this to be different. He had wanted to show Lucas a world where he was in control and which was safe. That there were hardly any Vampyres left in America- Remus shook his head saldy. If only he’d interested himself more in his race. If only he hadn’t so totally pushed Victor away from him after Aleixo’s death. He would have needed a companion. Maybe if he’d had someone by his side, he wouldn’t have come across Lucas, wouldn’t have doomed him to this eternal life in darkness, wouldn’t be feeling the way he was right then.

He shook his head when Lucas gingerly voiced his observation to him. Turning around, Remus avoided his fledgling’s eyes. “Lucas, I love you. I love your being, your wings, the powerful and mighty creature you are, even though at the same time you’re so fragile and insecure.” He lifted his crimson eyes to meet the icy ones head on. “But Lucas, I’m not good enough for you. When I Turned you, I thought you and I could become a normal Vampyre couple. Now, you’re the leader and savior of our Race. You need someone strong, someone powerful, someone who can hold your back and actually defend you when you’re in danger. I can fulfil none of those prerequisites. I’d defend you to death, but unfortunately in my case, that could happen immediately.” He stood up, turning his back on Lucas. “I suggest that, as soon as your Transformation is complete, you leave this house with Gregori or his Sire. I can be your soldier in the war that awaits us, but you and I must part ways.”

Lucas stilled at the words that reached his ears, lowering his gaze to the bed as the words wrapped around in his mind. No... he wouldn't believe that in the least bit. He could not let himself go with someone else, he just couldn't. Remus was his Sire, no matter what could happen in the days to come.

Shaking his head in complete denial when Remus finished what he had to say. "I don't believe that in the least bit." He said softly. "I may look strong when I use my gifts..." he murmured softly. "That does not mean that I am strong. I refuse to go with them... And nothing you can say will change my mind about that." He said as he forced his gaze to look away.

"You do not understand it..." He whispered. "You are the one that is the savior here." His gaze lifted to Remus as he confessed. "You are the one that keeps the darkness at bay. If not for you... The darkness would take the heart, then all would be lost." He straightened up. "You can not push me away like this... You would only be giving the darkness permission to swallow the heart." His gaze flickered at the moment.

Remus turned around, incensed. “Lucas, be rational here!” he almost yelled, his crimson eyes flashing. “I cannot protect you if something goes wrong and you’re hurt! Do you think it happens every day that I have to do with Lycans, supposed-Lycans, Elders, Ancients and myths!? No, I don’t! In fact, I’ve never! And then I have to put up with some bigot freak who went as far as possessing you and…and…and!” Remus held his hands up in a choked gesture before sighing and sinking back onto the bed.

He was acting like a spoiled brat and he knew that himself. Lucas was right- who the hell was he trying to kid? There was no way that Remus would survive having Lucas parted from him for a long time. And it had also been wrong of him to have sent Gregori away. Even though latter’s Sire had been a jerk, Gregori had helped when the situation had become dangerous. He was losing his head again and it wasn’t going to get him or Lucas anywhere.

Reaching over, Remus suddenly pulled Lucas into his lap, conquering his younger lover’s lips forcefully. He was angry, felt upset and at the same time scared. But above all, he wanted Lucas. Wanted him to remain with him, wanted to hear that his fledgling somehow, against all reason, believed that he needed Remus more than Remus had obviously come to need him.Tunneling his hands through Lucas’s blond hair as he ate at Lucas’s mouth, Remus restrained a growl of longing. Lucas needed to rest, not be assaulted in this way. Gripping the ends of Lucas’s hair tightly, Remus pushed his lover back, growling. “Why can’t I push you away when I know it’s the right thing I should do? How did you get so under my skin in such a short period of time?”

Lucas being pulled into the embrace and being forced to straddle his master. The kiss had been heated and lasted quite a while before he was pushed back and heard the growling voice. A frown reached his features as something in his mind clicked. Remus needed to see what was to come if the choice of pushing him away was to happen. And at that moment... that's what his future looked like.

Clinching his teeth tightly as he knew this would be painful for him to relive the vision that he had seen only a few hours before. Sighing forcefully as he reached for Remus' face with both of his hands on either side. His face looking apologetic for a short moment. "Look... and see for yourself what will happen if you push me away as to what you are doing right at this moment." His voice sounded angelic once again. Staring down into those eyes as his face relaxed and his eyes opened for the vision to be shared between them.

~~~
Lucas had fallen... fallen hard. His wings pitch black and his face marked in anger and deep pain. His body marked with deep gashes that ranged from fatal to minor. He was barely standing in that field, his body swaying as he faught to stay conscious. The ones around him had fallen and laid out around him... dead.
The darkness in him was plain to see, he had gotten to close... way to close and even now he was unable to keep it at bay. A loud cry radiated off of him when the soft glow that once was around him... died out. Pitch black eyes opened, and fire began to spread over the land. No one was safe from what was to happen next... not even the humans. A blinding dark light blasted from everywhere and then no where at the same time. As quick as it had happened... it was over.
His body fallen to the ground as the light had disappeared from his eyes and his body become limp. With the last dying breath of himself... he uttered his last word. "Remus...."
~~~

Lucas looked away after the vision stopped. Not able to bring himself to look at Remus at that moment. Fear gripped at him to much to see if the man finally believed. His body was trembling as the power he had used to share such visions caused that fear to become even more real. His icy gaze fell to the bed. "I don't want to die..." His voice was horsely.

Lucas didn’t immediately respond and Remus bared his fangs. Couldn’t this boy understand that everything he did- be it pout, cry, whimper or smile – was beautiful to him and only made him fall even madder in love with him? When Lucas gently took his hands and pulled him forward as he lay down, Remus didn’t know what his fledgling was intending, but allowed it. Estranged at Lucas’s words, Remus made to ask, when suddenly Lucas’s face below him vanished and Remus found himself seeing a vision.

All at once his sleeping chamber and familiar surroundings disappeared, the softness of his bed, Lucas’s tender hands holding his face- that was all gone as he found himself watching a nightmarish occurrence. Lucas, fallen. Lucas losing his innocence and beauty, losing the icy blue eyes that were so distinctive of him, Lucas dying…Lucas calling out to him with his last breath. Lucas dying.

“NO!” Remus screamed, yanking away from such a terrible vision. His chest rising and falling uneasily, Remus closed his eyes tightly, not wanting to see this future. When he opened his eyes, all was as before- he was inside his sleeping chamber, Lucas lay beneath him, is eyes averted, his face tragic as he admitted he still had a fear of dying.

“You…you can see into the future?” Remus choked out, totally thrown by this new turn of events. Would he ever cease to be amazed by his lover’s abilities and powers? When had Lucas seen this? When had he figured out that that could occur to him? Was he so sure that Remus was the key to his survival because Lucas had heard himself uttering his name or because Remus had once saved him from death? Does it even matter? Lucas believed he needed Remus and Remus knew beyond a doubt that he needed Lucas.

“I’d never let you die,” Remus whispered hoarsely, holding onto Lucas’s chin and turning his lover’s head so that the icy orbs could gaze into his crimson ones. “Do you understand me? I’d rather sacrifice myself than stand back and let you die. I will do everything in my limited power- I’ll use all and every ally that I can find along our way together and throw that person into the line of fire before harm could reach you, Lucas. I’ll become stronger. I’ll be by your side and I’ll do anything I can to prevent you from having to relive that dreadful vision. Do you hear me? I’m not worthy now, but I will become someone worthy of you calling your master,” he swore passionately, bowing his head so that their foreheads were touching.

“Say it clearly, Lucas. Look into my eyes and tell me what I have to do to keep that vision from occurring. I won’t raise the topic of handing you over to anyone ever again. But what else? What else do I need to do to reassure you that you are strong enough, that you really are everything the myth promised and much, much more? If you can see into the future, you must have guessed by now what else it is that you might need in order to succeed. Talk to me, Lucas- don’t suffer this on your own. Let me know what is troubling you- I want to help you, so let me.”

Lucas had expected the shock when Remus froze up. He had not said anything because it was something he thought was not meant to be known... the future. When his chin was taken and his head was turned to face the man, his gaze lifted to meet with the crimson ones. He still did not believe that Remus was not worthy, the man had saved him multiple times in many ways the man did not see how he had done so.

Hearing the words, he let them wrap around his mind as he searched his memories for the answer he needed. His gaze lifted into his makers for a long moment. "I need you... to keep me grounded. To keep my heart from being swallowed. Don't let the demon have control over me." He said horsely. "You hold my heart in your very hands, do not break it." He whispered softly.

A soft groan left him as his gaze flickered towards different directions. As if searching for something... His breathing became a little labored as if he were some frightened animal trying to get away from something. His eyes widened as he remembered that he had forgotten the barriers in his mind. And something had found its way into his mind, taring and gathering information from him. "No!" His voice darkened in that instant and he jumped away from Remus up against a wall as he forcefully threw up a barrier in his mind after shoving whoever it was out. His gaze lifted to the ceiling of the room. He was much to weak to keep them off of him, and he was certain he couldn't have another stand off with them either.

His gaze snapped to Remus with a worried gaze. "I cant keep them off of me alone..." He said. "I don't want them to take me away..." he whimpered.

Remus listened, enraptured, to what Lucas was saying, hanging onto every word. He held Lucas’s heart? He had believed this whole time that his fledgling had only been meaning this in a figurative sense, but it seemed that this was actually existential. So he kept Lucas grounded? Perhaps he really had measured too little importance to the feelings that had grown between him and his fledgling. Remus let out a small sigh of relief. If it was love that Lucas desired and needed, then he wasn’t going to hold back any longer.

But when Lucas cried out and flew away from him, Remus snapped back into defensive mode. Sending his psychic feelers out in all directions, he couldn’t distinguish anything distinctive, but he felt a stirring around him that he didn’t like. There was no corporal entity inside the sleeping chamber with him and Lucas right then, but somehow they were no longer alone. Lucas’s spoken fear of being taken away only confirmed Remus’s hypothesis that they hadn’t been alone. He didn’t like the implication that the sleeping chamber he had designed and believed to be safe wasn’t.

“I’ll take care of it, Lucas,” he promised, sending a silent message to Victor, who had just returned from an uneasy stroll through Venice. Go to Gregori. Tell him that Lucas is being attacked by invisible beings. I think someone or someones are trying to pry into his mind. He just confessed to me that he can see into the future. This is a powerful weapon and, if it were to fall into the wrong hands, we could all be in danger. Ask Gregori or his Sire if they know of a way for Lucas to prevent this, he asked and Victor immediately turned around and sped off.

Remus helped Lucas back into the bed. “Lucas, there’s no reason for us to put your training off any longer. I know that you’re tired, but you need blood. More blood than I’ll ever be able to drink. I’m going to summon some humans to my chalet and then you are going to take your first proper meal. The sooner you begin to feed and sustain yourself, the stronger you’ll become and the more energy you’ll have to fend off those intruders. I’ve already alerted Victor- at the moment we’re searching for a way to help you protect your mind.” He smiled, his expression finally once again becoming confident again. “You can rely on me, Lucas. Now that I better understand what you’re going through, I can also better help you.”

Lucas' gaze flickered to Remus when he came closer to him. Relaxing a bit more as the barriers held up against those that attempted to get in. Being helped back onto the bed, his gaze lowered. "I could hear them..." He whispered softly. "They are not like Gregori... They want power... They want the control" He said confusedly as he lifted his gaze to Remus. What control? He could not answer that. He didnt have control... not like this.

Hearing that he could rely on Remus, he nodded. Knowing that now, Remus' eyes had been opened to realize just how much Lucas needed his master. But he lowered his gaze to the bed with a soft sigh. "They think I am a weapon. They want to analyze me like some caged creature. He whispered softly. That was something he didnt want to happen.

Gregori had not said a word when he had been there with his Sire. The event had folded out a bit more drasticly than he would of liked, but he had no say so in the matter. His Sire was above him, and he could not go against him. His silver gaze lifted to the night sky as he was surrounded by a few stray wolves that kept him company as his mind was in chaos. Staying close by just in case he was needed. He knew he would be needed and he was soon not disappointed when he heard the call from Victor.

Closing his silver eyes as he gathered the information from his friend. Eyes widening as he tried to figure out who would be attempting to reach into the one's mind. "no... It cant be..." He said softly. -I will be there soon... I must alert my Sire. I myself can not keep them out of the boy's mind for to long as it will drain me. However... He will be able to do so without being drained.- He nodded, and left the strays to their devices as he went off to gather as much blood as he could for what he was going to do and also sending a message to Dameon.

Dameon had been reading a book in front of a fireplace, thankful he had not gone to far from them when he was interrupted. Sighing softly as he set the book down, thinking that maybe he should of taught his Childe a bit better of the dark arts. But then again... it was a very dangerous act to take if one faultered. Shaking his head a long moment as he stood from his seat and stepped outside into the night. -Alright... alright... Im on my way, stop your fussing Gregori.- And with that he was off.

Gregori narrowed his eyes just as he had been spoken to as if he were nothing but a mear child. Yet... he was only a child compared Dameon. Finishing what he had came to do in the first place before he took off. Victor was already there standing outside waiting for them. Gregori landed lightly on his feet, as his gaze lifted to his friend. "So it has come to this already?" He whispered. This was going to be a long battle, and he had a feeling that whatever is was entering Lucas' mind was not going to let him have peace for quite some time. Maybe... just maybe Dameon could trace the link and cause the others to faulter long enough to figure out some plan.

Remus’s brow furrowed. So the beings trying to spy into Lucas weren’t like Gregori, but equally, if not even stronger? That didn’t exactly sound comforting, but on the other hand, it seemed that at the moment Lucas still had the upper hand. And, Remus was convinced, once his fledgling was properly fed, he would better be able to guard himself. It was nevertheless unsettling that the other side knew to pinpoint Lucas so exactly and that they were bent on misusing him for their purposes.

Remus caressed Lucas’s cheek. “By control, they mean that they want you to join their side. The Dragonslayer Myth claimed that you would be the one to save the Vampyre race against its adversaries. It would seem that, whichever side had you on their team, would win the battles that are ahead of us. You are a weapon, Lucas. Any general will tell you that no matter the casualties, the goal of a war is to wound the other side’s soldiers faster and worse than one’s own soldiers are being attacked. If I had interested myself more with myths and were standing on the battle field opposing you, I would also try every trick in the book to get you to fight for me,” he had to say it bluntly, but kissed his fledgling. “But you’re more than simply a weapon. You’re the one I love and you have a human heart, something I’m beginning to see as something pricelessly valuable. You have feelings, you have a future and to me you’re all that and then a weapon, not the other way around.” He gave Lucas a slow, lingering French kiss, eventually pulling away when he sensed that a human had made it to the gates of his estate. It was time.

Taking Lucas’s hands, Remus carried them both out the room, transporting Lucas to one of the larger guest rooms. Leaving the lights off, he pushed his fledgling down a comfortable armchair. “You can see, can’t you?” he asked, nodding when Lucas responded. “When you’re out of the woods, I’ll take you hunting in the city, but right now this will have to do. With my mind, I’ve lured humans to the house. Look into my mind now, Lucas. See what I’m doing.”

Closing his eyes to better concentrate, Remus smiled as he felt Lucas connect with his mind. Watch my love. And learn. Reaching out with his senses, Remus found the gate to his estate and sending a pulse of psychic power wave outwards, opened them for the skimpily dressed woman standing there. Beginning to speak sweetly, Remus directed his voice so that it caressed the woman’s ears, playing around her head like music. She smiled, becoming entranced by the delicate, comforting voice, blindly following it as Remus instructed her through the estate until she had almost made it to the room he and Lucas were in. Letting go of her mind, he gently pushed Lucas out his own mind, whirling around to face the doorway, where the woman had appeared.

“Come in here, beautiful creature,” Remus sang deeply, seductively, baring his fangs. The woman blindly danced inside, a dream-like smile on her face. Having no idea that she was walking to her doom, she followed Remus’s instruction to move her hair aside, revealing her neck. Moving around her at lightning speed, Remus entered his victim’s mind and sending her pleasurable images that kept her distracted, he bit into her. She didn’t so much as moan out. Picking her up and carrying her to Lucas, Remus lay her down across Lucas’s lap. “Feed,” he ordered, his mind reaching out to call more humans forward.

Not so far away, Victor arched an eyebrow at Gregori. “Are you sure the three of us will be enough? Oughtn’t we summon more Ancients or Elders at least? What are we even up against?” he wanted to know as Dameon materialized beside him out of nowhere.

Lucas raised a brow once he was sat down on the chair in a different room. But concentrated as he connected to Remus' mind, staying quiet as he watched what the other was doing. Realizing what was going to happen in those few moments caused his eyes to widen and his human heart was choked slightly. He couldn't... they were humans! Having being pushed out of the others mind to have the human in his lap. His hurt filled gaze lifted to Remus at the command.

He knew he shouldn't go against his master's commands, and finding it hard to comply with them. His hands trembled as he did as his heart did not want. Biting into the flesh of the human as he closed his eyes. Remus... what were you doing? Had not the man realized that this was going to cause the heart to suffer. No... the heart would not die from such feedings. But it would feel as if it were. His heart reached out for the human he was feeding from, wanting to push the innocent being away from him. Once he felt the human's heart slowing he detached himself from the girl and let her slide from his lap. His painful gaze lifting towards his Master.

Gregori stilled at the words that came from Victor, yet before he could answer... Dameon was beside him.

Dameon's eyes widened at what he was feeling around the place. He had sworn he taught Gregori better than that. "Block your minds... Do not let a whisper escape." He said through clinched teeth. "What we are dealing with here, is much stronger than I thought." He said.

Gregori stiffened at the words, reaching into his own mind to place strong barriers up. His gaze snapped towards the gates of the place as he spotted what looked human wandering up. "He has begun..." He whispered.

Dameon let his gaze move to his Childe, then to the human that walked up. Narrowing his eyes for a short moment as he scanned the mind. Sensing Remus in the background, but something else that tried to avoid his scanning eyes. "No..." He said coldly. He growled under his breath as he gave Victor a look as to tell him to warn Remus. He was just hoping that the one Lucas had drank from had not been under a lighter compulsion under Remus'.

Remus had found a further potential victim and was just about to call the man to his estate when he heard Lucas cease from sucking. Rattled out of his concentration, he turned around to see what was wrong and saw that, against all logic, Lucas seemed horrified by what he was doing. Estranged, Remus lost connection with the second possible victim as he properly turned around to face his fledgling.

Remus! Careful! Victor’s voice flashed like a blaring siren through his head, making Remus cringe. What? What was wrong now? He had been told to ensure that Lucas had enough energy and he had already said he was going to take Lucas’s training seriously, but what he was doing was wrong? What could possibly be wrong about Lucas feeding directly off humans? Lucas knew that where Remus got his blood from, a human light had been blinked out. So where was the difference…?

Because Lucas still has a human heart, it dawned on him. Lucas was partly a Vampyre, but his human heart must have been interfering. While on the one side his Vampyric instincts were telling him to feed, to relish in the taste, intensity and sinful delight of the life-spending red liquid, the human part of Lucas had to be revolted by the moral implications of taking a life. If it had been anyone else, Remus would have kicked up a fuss about that person being the biggest hypocrite to exist as a Creature of the Night – after all, it was obvious where Vampyres attained their blood – but in this case he realized his mistake. Lucas could not be made to take a, to him, innocent human life, otherwise it would taint his soul.

“Don’t do it, Lucas,” Remus said gently, opening his hand. The human body lifted into the air and as he caused the windows of the room they were in to open, Remus made the body float outside, depositing her outside his estate. With a sigh, he knelt before Lucas, whose wings were twitching nervously, possibly out of fear of having defied him. “Lucas, we’ve reached an impasse. You’re a Vampyre. You need to drink blood. Hunting animal blood is out of the question because it isn’t strong enough and I don’t know if I can feed you enough of my blood without weakening myself unnecessarily in the process. You know that, in order to feed you, I must kill my human prey. Would it be better for you if I arranged for other Vampyre’s to offer you their blood? Do you…want to drink blood conserves? Or…is there some other way that I can give you more power?” he asked, his eyes lighting up as an idea came to him.

Gregori raised his eyebrows and Victor nodded once, relieved: Victor had aborted in time, but honestly, what had he been thinking? Letting his concentration slip for a moment, Victor carelessly opened his mind. Victor had probably only been concerned about helping Lucas attain more energy, but had in the process forgotten that- before Victor could finish this thought, an unknown force settled over him, taking possession of his mind.

Lucas lifted his gaze to Remus, his wings quivering behind him as he listened to Remus. His confused gaze lowered after a long moment. "I-I know..." He whispered softly. He knew Remus was doing the only thing he knew that would help him gain his strength. But he stilled at the next words that spilled from his master's mouth, his gaze lifted as if confused on what the man was trying to say. "What other way?" He asked softly. The thought of drinking from another other than his Sire was a little against what he wanted, but if he were not harming innocent beings he would do it.

Dameon watched the human run off from the place, but as his gaze snapped to Victor a slow hiss escaped him as his eyes narrow. Grabbing ahold of Victor's shirt from the front. "Get inside Childe... NOW!" He hissed out as he pushed his childe past the doors. Dragging Victor in with himself, His gaze moved around making sure to keep a tight grip on Victor so he wouldn't run off. All of this was starting to wear his patience thin. If it was a battle of the minds those things wanted... by hell that was what he was going to give them. Pushing Victor against a wall, pinning him there as he forced the man to look into his eyes. "Hold on Victor.. This may hurt a little." He said.

Throwing his mind into Victor's as he forced the others out. No.. he didnt fully enter the mind realm of Victor, but only partially. Just enough so that it gave time for Victor to guard his mind. Once he had pushed the others out that is when he helped Victor build barriers in his mind before exiting. Letting go of the other, panting softly as he took a few steps back.

Gregori clinched his hands as he watched this going on, He knew that having Dameon enter anyones mind wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling. That was why he never wanted to enter ones mind fully unless he had no other reason.

Victor had retreated to a dark corner of his mind and it had been terrifying. Suddenly no longer able to control his body was a frightening experience and one that left him so horribly helpless. Having to hear a hiss escape his mouth that he himself hadn’t produced was surreal and when Dameon had grabbed him and dragged him along, Victor had feared that the Ancient would punish him for having been so thoughtless. But thankfully Dameon wasn’t like that. Through centuries of observation, he had sensed what had happened and immediately jumped in to help. Relieved to be able to escape the corner he had been stuffed into, Victor gratefully accepted the Ancient’s help as he once again took control over his body.

As Dameon left his body and Victor tumbled, needing a moment to coordinate his arms and legs, he sent the Ancient a thankful look. “I’m sorry. It won’t happen again,” he promised, nauseated. While Dameon had been inside his mind, he hadn’t felt it so badly, but now that he had left, Victor felt slightly sick and violated. Shaking his head forcefully to try and rid himself of this impression, he jumped when Dameon’s voice sounded inside his head.

Stay here. Gregori, go to the back of the house and wait there in the garden. I’m going to jump onto the roof. The three of us must build a triangle if we’re to have any hope of helping the boy fend those enemies off. Do it!

Remus’s thoughts began to tumble one over the other as the idea in his head solidified. Why hadn’t he thought of this earlier? In the earliest days, when he had just been Turned, he had straight out refused to drink any blood, either. Back then Aleixo had been more than happy to let him dink from him, but once or twice, especially right after Remus had been turned and the thought of killing a human had disgusted him, his master had done something to him that had invigorated and refreshed him. As long as he, the master, had enough energy, then Lucas would be alright. More than alright.

Pushing Lucas’s legs apart so that he could kneel between his thighs, Remus took his fledgling’s face in his hands, tilting latter’s head back. “I think you’re going to like this alternative a lot, my darling Lucas,” he whispered, lowering his mouth to Lucas’s and at the same time, tracing with his fingers over Lucas’s neck, shoulders and arms down to his wrists. Having pushed Lucas’s legs over the arms of the armchair, his wrists and ankles were close by. Entangling his tongue with his fledgling’s, Remus suddenly and effectively slit his own wrists. Manipulating the blood that flowed out, he used it like a rope to bind Lucas’s wrists to his ankles, leaving him open to him and unable to slip away.

Gregori nodded hearing his master and then took off towards the garden as quickly as he could, sliding to a stop. "I never would of thought this boy would become so much trouble." He murmured under his breath.

Dameon made sure that Victor was stable enough before he headed outside and made his way to the roof of the place. -He is not the trouble here Childe... It is trouble that finds him, You remember the story to well for that to blind you.- he pushed into Gregori's mind quickly. Preparing what he was going to have to do, he knew his Childe could pull his own weight and so could Victor. But the most of the energy was going to have to come from him.

Kneeling down as he bit into the tip of his thumb, blood slowly trickled down his thump before a dark vampyric language could be heard throughout the whole house and outside as well. "Those that enjoy harming the children, Now find yourselves being harmed thyselves. Blanket this place from view as I am the protector. You are not welcome here any longer!" Drawing a symbol onto the tiles of the roof, the blood seemed to burn its way into the material as the spell had been cast.

It was now that he sat in front of the symbol closing his eyes as he the energy flow around him. Only seconds past as the place became quiet... a little to quiet.

Gregori narrowed his eyes at the words that were spoken into the night. This was a dangerous spell to be casting outside of a place so big. Yet, he did not have the strength to tell his master to stop. He just hoped they would be successful. Closing his eyes, he could feel the energy connecting to himself from his maker. And in turn sent it towards Victor.

Lucas lifted his gaze as Remus pushed his legs apart and his face was in his hands. Being distracted and feeling as if he were in a fog, he did not noticed that his legs were forced apart to drape over the arms of the chair he was in. A soft purr escaped him at the contact of their lips. But it was when the man had pulled away to look at his bound wrists and ankles. His confused gaze lifted up to the man. Not feeling threatened that the man would do harm to him... afterall, this was his Master. The one that had made him. He hoped that he could put this much trust in this man, and not be harmed by him.

His gaze lifted to the ceiling when the dark voice could be heard, his gaze darting around the room as if he were trying to figure out what was going on. His wings quivered behind him as he was unable to make out what had been said in that language.

sorry, having trouble with my internet connection :/)

Victor was readily waiting, but it was still a shock when the wave of energy hit him. His feet were shoved deeper into the earth and he was forced to lean forward so as to avoid toppling over backwards, but he managed it. Channeling the energy towards the strategic points in his body, Victor used the extra energy to strengthen his mental barriers, at the same time scanning his surroundings with his heightened senses. He could feel Gregori and Dameon’s presence stronger than ever and half crouched over when latter began to ritual.

The silence was treacherous, all three of them knew it. It signaled the proverbial calm before the storm. Whoever they were up against were was probably probing the situation, waiting for the spell to settle before attempting to make their next attack. Standing out there in the garden, the starry sky above them decorating the eternity of space, for a moment Victor could almost believe that he was simply standing inside a rose-filled garden, enjoying the peaceful night. When the attack was launched, however, he had his hands and mind filled with trying to deflect the evil.

A screeching howl rose into the air, alerting the three Vampyres on guard by a foreboding sense of intense malevolence being hurled at them. The attacking entity first hit against the roof of the mansion that Dameon had sealed off with his own powerful blood and, when it found that instead of sinking through, it was rather rudely repelled, the force transformed itself in a raging wind that howled and ripped at the building, Vampyres, trees and house, trying to uproot them. As the three Vampyres held up their arms to instinctively protect their faces, Victor and Gregori winced as the wind seemed to grow sharp teeth and tore at their skin.

Hold steady! Dameon encouraged them, clenching his teeth as he continued his incantation, repeating it louder when the wind picked up even stronger. Concentrate!

Lucas had momentarily succeeded in forgetting what was going on above and around them, but when Remus gently pulled back, he saw that Lucas’s attention immediately shifted towards the ceiling. Opening Lucas’s pants, Remus tutted as he gently forced Lucas’s head back around to concentrate on him. “My love, concentrate on me,” he admonished, conquering Lucas’s lips again, surging into motion and increasing the passion. Holding onto Lucas’s hair until he felt that Lucas had focused on him once again. “Good boy,” Remus purred, dancing with his fingers over Lucas’s chest to pull, sooth, tease and rub his fledgling’s nipples. Making pleased noises in his throat, Remus lowered his hand further, taking a hold of Lucas’s manhood. Lucas, bite my lip when you begin to feel aroused, his mind touched Lucas’s.

lol, its alright. It happens.)

Gregori clinched his teeth tightly as his body tensed ready for the attack. Hiding his face behind his arms as the wind bit at him with unseen teeth. Standing his ground as he hoped his master would hurry and finish what he needed to do.

Dameon narrowed his eyes at the unseen attacker. "I banish thee from this place to the depths of hell!" He yelled out into the wind. The wind only picked up in velocity before it finally died down and everything quieted. His breathing labored as he knelt down on the roof.

It took some time before he was able to jump down from the roof when the spell had be completed. Staggering to the side to hold himself up against the wall before a trickle of blood ran down his chin.

Gregori's gaze snapped over to his Master once he felt him was slightly weakened. But the look on the man's face only caused him to stay where he was for a long moment.

"Its done..." Dameon whispered. His gaze lifed to his childe. "Stop worrying so much... You know it takes a lot more than a protection spell to keep me down." He said.

Lucas' gaze moved to his master as he was forced to look at him. Remus' voice brought his attention back to him before he was kissed and his hair was held. A soft purr escaped him as he felt fingers running over his skin. Finding it hard not to squirm at the teasing of his nipples, he gasped into the kiss as his Master's voice entered his head. The man had already known that Lucas was aroused, his squirming body gave that away long before.

Biting at Remus' lower lip, the taste of blood entered his mouth which caused his eyes to glass over at the feeling. His wings quivered behind him a little as he struggled his hands to be free. Yet, the bindings were not allowing this. Once the kiss had been broken, he was already panting softly as his gaze lifted to Remus'. "M-Master... please..." He panted softly.

Victor let out a low breath of relief when the invisible teeth biting at his flesh ceased and finally vanished. Still not quite trusting the peace, he was overly cautious while lowering his arms, his eyes darting from left to right warily. When nothing happened, he glanced in the direction in which Dameon had gone. Seeing the Ancient still on the roof, he instinctively remained in place, understanding that he wasn’t to leave his guard’s post just yet. The worst was over for the moment, but it was clear to Victor that he was going to have to talk Remus into moving to a smaller place. The mansion was far too large and provided too many angles at which to attack. If he wanted to have Lucas optimally protected, he was going to have to agree to place Lucas somewhere else.

Still, the question remained who on earth had launched that attack. The being was certainly powerful and Victor didn’t want to follow his thought to the end, but he wondered if, wherever that thing had come from, there were more. If that were the case, he and Gregori were probably going to have to travel around and see if they could gather more Vampyres to help them defend Lucas. A task that was daunting and disappointing. Victor hadn’t yet got round to properly telling Remus just how decimated their numbers were and the prospect of coming across even more abandoned abodes didn’t appeal to him one bit.

Curse the day Remus ran into Lucas, he sighed inwardly as he frowned in the direction of the mansion. Why did you have to go and show up to him of all people? And why did Remus have to have gone and fallen so blindly in love with him?

Remus felt his blood oozing into his mouth and smirked against Lucas’s mouth as his fledgling hungrily lapped the blood up. Aroused as he was, the blood would be even more delicious and give him even more energy, energy that equated to three human bodies. As Remus continued to kiss him, leisurely stroking Lucas’s sex, tickling the tip and increasing the pressure as his second hand held hisfledgling’s balls, he made the blood bonds he had wrapped around Lucas’s extremities tighten, laughing quietly when Lucas’s body reacted to the restraints. Oh yes- the more Lucas desired release and the more he was denied it, the sweeter and greater his lust and power would become when Remus finally granted him release.

Opening his eyes to slits, Remus’s gaze fell onto Lucas’s white, white wings. They quivered the higher Lucas’s arousal grew beneath Remus’s dexterous hands. Making the kiss chaste again, Remus slid off the chair, licking and gently biting down his fledgling’s chest until he had taken Lucas’s sex into his mouth. Are you enjoying this sweet torture, Lucas? He teased as he slowly eased two fingers up between his lover’s legs.

Gregori narrowed his eyes as he was told to not worry. He had a right to worry, afterall... the three of them were protecting them! And more importantly... Dameon was acting as if this was not harming himself in any way. When it clearly shown that it was. But it was the voice in his head that caused his eyes to widen and his body to still. His jaw dropped a little. H-how had he possibly found that out?? The man had honestly had punished himself by doing more than even an elder could not do.

Dameon sighed feeling the emotions from Gregori. Still his childe was much of a child, no matter how tough he acted. -Elder Lycans... That's who it was.- the voice could be heard in Gregori's and Victor's minds. He did not dare speak it in the open, just in case there were ears listening.

Lucas panted and squirmed as he was being teased. Soft whimpers leaving him as the emotions rose in him to the point that he thought that this torture could kill him. But it couldn't. Feeling his Master's mouth on him only caused his head to fall back against the chair with a soft moan. The fingers being eased into his entrance caused him to squirm even harder as he bit his lower lip harshly causing blood to trickle down his chin. "Na... Mmm... Master... Please..." He whimpered in between breaths. "I want you..."

Victor put his hands over his head and stared blindly at the quiet Mediterranean Sea before him. Elder Lycans?! Hadn’t they all been eradicated during the Final Great War? Hadn’t his old friend Aleixo died in his attempt to vanquish the final Elder Lycan in Sarajevo? He had supposedly been the last one of the Elder Lycans remaining in Europe. Back then Victor hadn’t questioned the surveillance data their spies had brought them. But could it be? he found himself wondering then as Gregori quietly asked if Dameon needed fresh blood. Could it be that the information back then had been compromised?

His head began to spin. This matter was spiraling out of control and taking on dimensions that he had believed impossible. But then again, it made sense,albeit in a perverted way. How else could it be explained that the vast amount of Vampyres around the world had been defeated so suddenly and thoroughly at the same time? It would have required an organization of messengers who would have taken centuries to pinpoint the members of their race. Had the outcome of the Final Great War only been a ruse? Had the Elder Lycans, well hidden away and protected, foreseen that the only way to be able to stand against the Dragonslayer had been to let the Vampyre race think itself safe?

Dameon, Victor timidly wondered as he opened his mind in one direction to send information. Could it be…?

Remus’s tongue cherished Lucas’s malehood, licking up his excitement in a cherishing way. His fingers were eagerly sucked in and when he heard Lucas begin to beg, Remus tightened the restraints of blood even more, leaving Lucas open and defenseless for him. Letting go of Lucas for a sudden, he turned around, smirking to himself when he heard Lucas. Protected by the darkness, Remus opened his pants and freeing his own aroused member, suddenly whirled around and throwing himself at Lucas, entered his awaiting body in one hard thrust that had Lucas convulsing. Almost, but not quite. Eating at his fledgling’s mouth once more, Remus began to hump his groin mercilessly into Lucas’s body as his hand closed firmly around his lover’s malehood. Grunting as he moved faster, harder, he reached down and around, firmly pushing his hand against Lucas’s bottom and holding him firmly in place so that his parted butt cheeks could meet his engorged member. Bite me, Lucas. Bite me when you’re about to cum. When Lucas’s arousal was at its highest, Remus’s bonds of blood would disappear and allow Lucas to hold him again. Bite me when you’re falling into ecstasy. Give yourself to me.

Dameon shook his head towards his Childe. He would be fine, he just needed some time to recover. His gaze flickering however at the touch from Victor. His gaze moved over to him as the words entered his mind. He didn't answer right away as he dropped his gaze. Nodding after a long silence between the three of them.

Gregori clinched his hands tightly as he could read them easily. No... this could not be happening. Even himself had been told the elder of that horrid race had been defeated. He couldn't believe it, he wouldn't believe.

Lucas flinchd a little when the restraints were tightened around his wrists and ankles a little. But he still did not fear his Master in any way. He could see that his Master would not harm him on purpose. Yet, when Remus removed himself that a soft whimper left his lips. Almost confused to the point he was beginning to wonder if he had done something wrong.

A small surprised yelp left him as his wide gaze lifted to his Master that had thrown himself onto him. Feeling his body being entered, a loud gasp entered his lungs as his back arched at the rough treatment. A muffled moan escaped him into the lips that met his. His body squirmed as his hands clinched at the bindings.

Lucas leaned his head back as he was thrusted into, making his back arch. The command deep within his mind as his body began to tremble on its own. The teasing before hand only caused his body to tense even more than it had before. He didn't want to cum so easily. But at that moment, his body was wound up so tightly that he couldn't hold back. His fangs lengthened as he leaned up just quick enough to bite down onto the soft flesh of his Master's neck as a muffled cry left him. His body tensing as he found release, his arms finding themselves free as he reached up to gently take ahold of the other side of the neck he was feeding from.

Victor’s head began to turn as thought chain after thought chain linked and clashed together, presenting a picture that he liked less and less. A Lycan Elder had managed to infiltrate their lines centuries before and was now in hiding. He knew where Lucas was, that he had been Turned and that they were protecting him. How long would it take for the Lycans to attack them in a further attempt at getting to Lucas? And how were they supposed to defend Lucas against mind tricks and physically present enemies?

Gregori was in denial. It was too much to stomach after the tense night he had been put through. That day they would walk away as winners, but no one could promise them that they would have as much luck next time. And Dameon, no matter how hard he tried to hide his fatigue, had been weakened after the confrontation. He couldn’t be expected to battle it out with the Lycan Elder – lies! These past years he had been so badly lied to – each time. They were going to need reinforcements and that fast. Or they were going to have to run and hide away- but was there even such a thing as a Lycan free environment in the world?

When the blood bonds he had created broke and Lucas began to drink his blood, heat engulfed Remus. As had been the case with Aleixo, the passionate and heady way he was making love to Lucas made his blood thicker and more intense in taste. As he continued to buck his hips against Lucas hard, his orgasm building up until it carried him right over the edge and he came, Remus sensed how his energy overload rushed out of him, carried over his blood into Lucas’s throat as his fledgling drank it hungrily. His arms around Lucas becoming limper as he lost energy, Remus groaned out Lucas’s name as latter’s arms around his neck became stronger. Breathing in deeply and smelling his and Lucas’s excitement, Remus closed his eyes, breathing out in a rush as Lucas’s fangs left his throat, taking the energized life liquid with him.

Dropping his head again so that it was leaning on top of Lucas’s, Remus’s eyes once again felt onto his lover’s lovely wings. Was it his imagination, or were they a brighte white than before? When he tried to put a little distance between himself and his fledgling, Remus’s vision swam out of focus and he had to grip onto Lucas’s shoulders to prevent from tumbling over backwards. “I’m alright,” he reassured his fledgling. It had been the first time he’d performed this power transfusion and, it seemed, he’d passed on more vigor to his fledgling than he’d intended.

Dameon raised a brow as his gaze landed on Victor. He could clearly see the man worrying more than he should at this very moment. "come on... I think its best we discuss this." he paused. "In private." He said as he looked to his childe who looked as if the man was going to tare at anything that he could get his hands on. "Calm yourself..." he said before making his way into the house.

Gregori didn't like being told what to do, wasn't it he that was above being commanded? apparently not. Groaning as he followed in after his master. He figured what could it hurt to hear what Dameon had to say, maybe he could cook up some type of plan to keep Lucas safe.

Lucas lifted his gaze once his master moved away. Confusion entered his eyes as he was up within a seconds notice, but then paused when his shoulders were grabbed and he heard him. "You gave me to much." He whispered softly. His wings lowered behind him a little as he felt a little guilty from being to lost in the feeling and not realizing what he was doing at the time. His worried gaze lifted into his master's, no matter what the man said to him. He would still worry.

Remus smiled at Lucas, kissing him lovingly on the lips. “Lucas, my love, I’ll be fine. Just give me a moment,” he reassured, slinging his arms around his fledgling’s body. The dizziness began to settle as he breathed in Lucas’s enticing scent, licking off a pearl of sweat off latter’s shoulder. He knew that his lover was worried, but there was no need to be. “I gave you my all gladly. You’re the most important person in the world to me and I need to have you safe. I’m older than you, so I regenerate faster. There’s no need to worry. Did you enjoy it?” he whispered, alredy feeling his powers returning as he gazed into Lucas’s icy eyes.

Smiling as he caressed Lucas’s cheeks with the back of his left hand, Remus’s face changed as he sensed that the other three Vampyres were about to enter his house again. Taking a hold of Lucas’s hands, he pulled him with him to the changing room. “We’re about to receive company. The good one,” he hastily added before his fledgling could become scared. Fading into a blur as he scavenged a fine set of clothes for his mate and himself, Remus and Lucas had only just finished changing before Dameon strode into their room.

“Are you finished?” he asked sourly, eyeing Lucas’s fluashed face and Remus’s smirking one. He rolled his eyes- it was rather obvious what had occurred inside the estate between the two of them. Even if he hadn’t already been concentrating most of his powers on protecting the boy, he would have known because his vampyric ears were so good. While it annoyed him that the two of them had given in to their lust at such a moment, he was relieved on the other hand to see that Lucas was looking much better than he had before. “Come now,” he commanded bossily. “There is much we need to tak about. Do you have a room where we would be safe?”

Remus, once again feeling pissed off that he was being forced to act like a guest in his own house and half having the mind to send the Ancient to hell, gritted his teeth as he took Lucas’s hand and entwined their fingers. “This way. We should be relatively safe inside the lower living room,” he suggested, striding past the elder Vampyre wit his head held high. Coming across a brooding Gregori and an infuriated Victor, Remus arched an eyebrow, but didn’t say anything. Whatever it was that he and Lucas was about to hear was going to be bad, but right then he was feeling so calmed after having been intimate with Lucas that he felt confident they would be able to overcome the problem.

Dameon waited until everyone had taken a seat inside the small, yet comfortable living room. Sending his psychic sensors out, he felt around for any disturbance, yet finding none, he knew that right then the five of them were safe. Still, he wasted a further minute chanting an enclosure spell, making it impossible for anyone trying to eavesdrop to hear a word of what was being spoken of inside the room. When he had finished, he slowly sank into the armchair right at the head of the room, glaring around at the four younger Vampyres before him. “I’m not one or beating round the bush, so I’ll get right to the point. The Vampyre race has been badly betrayed and now we’re in a bad position. The being we were just attacked by was,” he said, sending the final word silently into the minds of those before him.

Lucas had just finished putting the silk shirt on and buttoned it, thankful that he had put his pants on first when the voice behind him caused him to jump and spin around quickly. His eyes widened. He was unsure if he would ever get use to how Dameon was. His face was a dead giveaway of what had just happened between him and Remus, his face still flushed and an afterglow shown brightly. Having taken ahold of his Master's hand as they were led into a different room. Sitting down next to Remus' he was confused as to what was going on. Had he been to focused on Remus to have noticed anything going on around him.

Dameon didn't have to say anything about this, but this was their race that was at risk. They all knew the true name of the lycan that he spoke into their minds... except Lucas. He had no idea of the lycans, alls he knew was that he didn't like them. -Markus...- He stayed quiet for a long moment as he let the name sink into their minds and ready himself for the panic that he was sure to settle in next. Youngers were always quick to panic over things, however, he stayed calm. Already thinking of a plan that he was trying to come up with quickly.

Gregori's eyes widened at the word that entered his mind. "H-how?? Had he not been killed by the council??!" He asked. That had been before he had been entered into the council of vampires. He had heard storied of the great lycan dying at the hands of the council.

Lucas raised a brow at the word that had entered his mind. His wings quivering behind him a moment, as he tried to understand. His eyes landed on the floor in front of him as he stilled in a trance like state for a long moment. A gasp entered his lungs as he finally came out of the trance and his gaze lifted to Dameon.

Even then, without having the boy said anything to him. He could see, the vision still very clear in Lucas' eyes. A confused looked appeared on his face for a quick second. How could that be? It couldn't be?! How could one of their own pair up with the damn lycan's. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Are your visions clear enough to see what happens next?" He asked keeping his gaze trained on the boy.

Lucas lowered his gaze at the questions, shaking his head. "I only get glimpses. Sometimes I get full visions that..." he paused for a moment and looked to his Master. He didn't want to remember what he had shown his Maker, it was still very fresh in his mind. Clinching at his master's hand gently as he faught not to show that fear or even tears that began to rim his eyes. He knew that his Master would not leave him, he would very well throw himself into the line of fire if need be. Yet, it was his heart that man held. In turn, this is why Lucas acted the way he did. Somewhat like a fledgling, and somewhat like a frightened child.
