I have a friend who only like fluff and she just ships couples. She doesn't really like yaoi yaoi (with explicit sex, etc.) This made me think about all the types of fans out there. Not every fan likes the same thing you know! Let me know if I missed anything! All around Yaoi/Bara/Shounen ai/Doujinshi Fan - They do it all: read and watch yaoi, bara and shounen ai. They ship non-yaoi characters, they read/write fanfiction, play BL games, etc. Strictly Manga - Pretty self explanatory, they only read bara/yaoi/shounen ai (by bara/yaoi/shounen ai I don't mean Doujinshi or fanfiction. I mean manga with characters who actually end up together.) Strictly Anime - Again pretty self explanatory. They only watch yaoi/shounen ai anime. Strictly Manga/Anime - They only read and watch BL anime. Hardcore and Fluff - They like a good romp, but they also like romantic, sweet stories too. Geez, just I like steamy sex doesn't mean I'm immune to "the feels". -_-" Only Shounen ai/Fluff - These fans enjoy boy x boy love but can't handle the heat, if you know what I mean. If you don't, I mean explicit sex. They like the romantic, fluffy series that focus more on the actual relationship than what happens in the bedroom. Only Bara -Screw pretty boys. Bara is where it's at with these fans. They like manly men and aren't scared at by "a little" body hair. Only Yaoi - Ew, mutants! Yaoi only fans are often scared off by bara. They don't like the excess muscles and hair and (sometimes there's this, haven't read any bara with this though) chubbiness. Bishounen and ikemen are safe zones for them. Only Hardcore - These fans don't care for fluffy stuff. Yeah romance shomance. Where's the butt sex?! I'm sure these people loved this shit out of Baby Bitch. Only Doujinshi, Slash and Fanfiction - These people don't even touch actual yaoi. They just like shipping their favorite characters together. They frequent fanfiction.net, fictionpress.com and deviantart. They are split up into the: strictly hardcore, both hardcore and fluff, and strictly fluff. What kind of fan are you? Let me know!
