"I-I...I really am sorry...for everything...Master..." He says this softly, letting the hand that was reaching out to the man fall to his side, staring at the ground. He knew something was wrong...but what? He sighs softly, looking up at Lan, wondering just what was going on through his mind...what was it that made this man the way he was? Was it anger? Hatred? Fear? Betrayal? Sadness? What was it? Miori wanted to know...he felt for the man that sat in front of him, he could sense something was amiss in the man's heart...And Miori wanted to help.

 

Without thinking, without knowing there most likely would be consequences for his actions, he leans over, and gently presses his lips against Lan's, the only thoughts running through his mind was of that kisses often made one feel better. He doesn't press very hard, but kept it light and gentle, and after a moment pulls away, looking into Lan's eyes, caring for the man, making his heart ache. "I'm...sorry..." he backs away slowly, his hands covering his mouth, he was slightly shocked that he did what he he had done. 'I hope he doesn't get mad...I don't want to get beat up again...'

 

For a while the two demon brothers remain there, holding onto each other, not wanting to let go or be apart. But they had to get up eventually, and after a while they do, Alec helping his brother to his feet, the worst of the injuries that Ash had sustained having healed. "Come on, let's go to the room..." He mutters softly, and leads Ash up the stairs, and towards their bedroom, and once there he lays on the bed, the outfit that he had been wearing for Lan changing into a pair of loose, low riding silk black pajama pants, and a skin tight long sleeved black shirt. "We should get some rest..." He sighs softly, pulling Ash onto the bed next to him, and wraps his arms around his brother, snuggling close to his twin.

Lan frowned, rolling his eyes.

"What ever.."

He looked away. His body slump and sluggish. His hair falling in his eyes. Lan Was surprised when the Miror kissed him.. wasn't the other afraid of him? The kiss was so gentle... something He couldn't really do.

"I'm...sorry..." [/Quote]

He stared at the other boy and after a moment sighed.

"I hate kissing. Don't let happen again."

He muttered. Lan didn't really hate kissing.. but... he just said he always did. He laid down on his bed.

"Get out"

That was Lan. Distant. Surrounded by a high unviable wall that seemed impossible to climb.. he didn't let anyone get close...

 

Ash felt so lucky to have a brother like Alec. He had always protected him, took care of him, defended him. As he laid in the bed with his twin his hand fell apon Alec's cheek. And he kissed his brother sweetly as a thank you for everything that he's done. After the soft quick kiss He nuzzled into his brother and quickly fell asleep. Out like a light. His body sore. Lan hadn't shown them any mercy...and he suddenly started to beat him up... But Ash loved Lan.. He was still devoted to Lan... forever and always!

Miori lowered his eyes when he hears Lan tell him not to do that again. "I'm sorry...it won't happen again, it's just..." He looks up at Lan, worry and compassion clear in his blue eyes. "I'm worried about you. You seem so lonely and well...Maybe I can...help. You are always pushing people away, but maybe you should let someone near you for a change. I'm sorry if I seem out of line master...but that's just what I think. Please, let me be that person who can be close to you...I'm not scared of you, no matter what you do to me, I'll keep coming back, and I'll keep begging to be the one to show you love...To care for." He searches Lan's face for a reaction, he already knew he was pushing his luck still being in the room.

 

But he truly did care for Lan. No matter what the man said or did, no matter how many bruises, cuts, broken bones and other wounds the man gave him...Miori would always care, he would always have feelings for the man in the mirror, the man he fell in love with, and there was nothing that would change that, no matter what. He slowly walks to the door, hoping that Lan would stop him, to call him back, to tell him something...but he knew that was wishing for a little much.

Lan said nothing. Looking away.

The boy was insane. After everything he did to Miror He was Still in love with him. After the rape and torture...after the brutal death of his mother.. the boy still was at his feet. He wouldn't stop Miror. Lan just told Him to get out again.

No... no warm heart words would sway him! No whispers of "I love you" would Change his ways! He would remain a cold hearted monster! He didn't need love! Love was trivial! Stupid! A WEAKNESS! never.....NEVER!

He didn't watch as the boy left. He just stayed in his bed. Closing his eyes to sleep.

Glancing back one last time, Miori sighs as he leaves the room, a single tear falling from the corner of his eye as he began to make his way back to his room. To him though, it was more like a prison cell, despite the fancy furniture, huge bed, and other exquisite items that were in it. He hated being stuck in that room, alone, without anyone to talk to. It was a curse, and he wanted to be free of it. But he knew that would never happen, not now that Lan had pretty much taken him as a prisoner.

 

But as he lay down on the bed, burying his face into the soft feather pillow covered in a silk pillow sheet, he smiles a small smile, thinking that if he could just find a way to touch Lan's heart, make him feel loved even a little bit...he could bear the pain of being stuck in this place. He could handle the pressure and pain from the man, just as long as he could show his affection...It would take time, yes...but he was determined, like before when he was trying to free Lan of the mirror, he was absolutely determined to make Lan feel like he was loved. "Yes...that's what I'll do..." He whispers to himself, his voice muffled by the pillow.

{The next day }

Lan was up and went into Miror's room ripping the covers off him.

"Get up. Your training starts today. Be down stairs in one hour"

He said coldly as he left the room and headed down stairs himself, wearing only his night pants and no shirt. Knowing the demon twins would have made breakfast by now. But he had no intent on paying attention to them today. Seeing them now irritated him to EXTREME degrees. He sat at the dinner table glancing at his phone. Flicking threw it.

Waiting for him black coffee. In a few days there would be a demon slave actuation. And he was invited to attend.

Miori shivers as the blankets were suddenly pulled off of him, and he wakes up to see that Lan was standing there. When he heard Lan tell him to be downstairs in an hour, as his training started that day, he nods, and waits for the man to leave the room before getting up and going over to the closet, pulling on his outfit, white pants, white shirt, and a white and blue long jacket. He sighs softly, fixing his hair before sitting on the edge of the bed, he still had a bit of time left before the "training" began. So, in that time, he decided to read a book, opening one of the many books that were lining the shelves in the room, and opens it, staring at the ancient runes that lined the pages.

 

Meanwhile, downstairs in the kitchen, Alec was up and about, already making breakfast, and by the time Lan sat at the dinner table he was coming out of the kitchen, a plate of Lan's favorite was on a platter, along side two pieces of toast, and a cup of coffee. He sets the plate in front of Lan, as well as the coffee, before stepping to the side. "Good morning master. Is there anything I can get you?" He pauses, and looks up when Ash comes into the room. The twins were wearing matching outfits, which were outfits that butlers wore, with white gloves and everything. In a pocket at the front pocket of the jacket, a silver chain could be seen. "Also, what are the plans for today? I know you are giving the human a lesson...but what else is there for today master?"

"Good morning master. Is there anything I can get you?" ..."Also, what are the plans for today? I know you are giving the human a lesson...but what else is there for today master?"[/Quote]

Lan glanced at his food and pick up his coffee taking a few sips. Setting his phone aside not looking at Alec or Ash. He kind of liked it when the twins wore matching uniforms, it always made him want to touch them but today He was rather sick of the two...

"Nothing after that. Why do you ask."

He mutter starting to eat.

"Oh...alright." Alec glances over at his brother, he knew that Lan was hiding something. He just wasn't saying it. "Oh, it's nothing master, I was just wondering is all. Enjoy your meal." He bows before leaving the room, slightly tilting his head, motioning for his brother to follow. He heads away from the dining room, making his way towards the living room which was a few rooms away, enough so that they could talk without being overheard. He wanted to know if his brother too felt as if their master was hiding something....

 

Miori glances at the time, and sighs, before getting up from the bed and placing the book back on the shelf, before leaving his room and making his way towards the dining room, as he felt that was where Lan would be at that particular moment, and when he stepped into the large room he was right, as he spotted the man at the end of the table, drinking coffee. He carefully makes his way towards Lan, and stops about five feet away, his eyes lowered slightly. "Hello master. I'm ready to begin when you are. I hope...that you can forgive me for my insubordination the other day...it was out of line." He glances up at Lan's face, before staring at the ground again.

Ash quickly followed his brother. Once they were alone his brother looked a little panicked.

"Brother! Master is being distant with us. He hates us now! "

Ash cherished his master's attention and always wanted it.

"What could we have done for him to ignore us?! Do you think he'll replace us?!"

He was frantic.

 

Lan glanced up at Miror.

"Hello master. I'm ready to begin when you are. I hope...that you can forgive me for my insubordination the other day...it was out of line."[/Quote]

"Yes it was..."

He stood up- sliding his phone into his pocket.

"Now follow me"

He lead the other to his study's which was down stairs behind a bookcase. As he walked down stairs learning to his magic room there were bottles and bottles of potions on a huge shelf. There were forbidden pentagram's all over the walls and ground...even the ceiling... there was desk. Lan motions for Miror to sit down as grabbed a book from a book shelf. The room was rather dark but Lan lit a few candles that glowed bright green.

He put the book in front of Miror and leaned on the desk.

"What are all your abilities. And What do you have trouble with when it comes to magic.."

He waited for an answer looking into Miror's eyes sternly.

Alec knew the panic that his brother was now showing, but it did not even appear on his face, nor in his eyes. He kept the fear he was feeling hidden away, he didn't want his brother to see him scared. "Calm down Ash. I don't think he's going to replace us, after all I am a A-rank demon. Not many of us like making contracts with humans. So it would be foolish of him to consider getting rid of us. As for why he's acting this way...I think it's because of what happened last night..." He pauses, and looks into his brothers eyes, an encouraging smile on his lips. "Don't worry. I'll fix everything."

 

Miori follows Lan through the house, and memorizes the route that they took to get to Lan's magical room, he was sure that this was the only time that Lan was going to show him the way there. Sitting down at the desk that was in the room, he stares at the book that was set in front of him, and looks up at Lan when he told him to tell what his abilities were, and what was gave him trouble in the terms of magic. "Well, I can control all the elements, including some that are rare, like Yin and Yang, the elements of light positive, and dark negative. I can also summon creatures using my blood, create portals, and form circles." The list went on and on, it was obvious that Miori was talented. "And as for what I have trouble with...Well, you should know that one. I'm not very good at breaking curses, and I'm horrible at combining spells, because my magical energy is so powerful, it is also drained much more..."

Ash bit his lip.

"A-Are you sure? I would feel so useless if master replaced us."

He said sadly looking at his brother. Hoping he really could fix everything.

 

Lan listened.

"Well, I can control all the elements, including some that are rare, like Yin and Yang, the elements of light positive, and dark negative. I can also summon creatures using my blood, create portals, and form circles." ..."And as for what I have trouble with...Well, you should know that one. I'm not very good at breaking curses, and I'm horrible at combining spells, because my magical energy is so powerful, it is also drained much more..."[/Quote]

"I see. Well curses very. So that doesn't matter. And your problem is controlling your abilities and combing them."

He pulled away and took 4 candles lining them up on the floor.

"Sit down here and try to light all four candles in one try. To much force will melt the candle completely. Not enough will leave it be. You need the perfect balance of skill and control. You may be able to light one but four at once adds difficulty. Give it a try. "

He knew the boy couldn't do it but this would help him built up his potential. His skill. This was training after all. Lan Sat in the chair watching. His phone vibrating as be pulled it out reading the text.

"Go on.. anytime your ready."

He muttered flicking threw his phone and texting someone...

"Yes, I'm sure. I'll do what I can..." He sighs, looking away, he had a bad feeling about what was going to happen to them...

 

 

After telling Lan what he could and could not do, Miori listens to what the man had to say, and what he was told made absolute sense. Of course it had to be something so damn simple! He had always been one unable to control the power...but to have it told to him like that, made him feel so incompetent. He blinks in surprise when candles were set in front of him, and wonders what he had to do, he was about to ask what they were for when Lan tells him.

 

So...he had to light all four candles without burning them to a crisp... That sounded easy enough. But that was far from the truth. He sat there, and stared at the candles, bringing his hand up and waving his hand, and sure enough, the power within him overflows, melting them with a blast of heat. He bites his lip, and glances up at Lan, wondering what he would do... "Er...looks like I need to try again..."

Lan sighed putting his phone away.

"You have no rock Miror. That's why you lose control so damn easy. What holds you back from losing it. What's your rock. Perhaps it rage, revenge, pain...love"

He mutters love as if it was stupid but it was all true.

"It might be a friend or family...something to call back your strength. "

He leans forward in the chair snapping his fingers as the candles were replaced with fresh ones.

" Think about it and try again. And if you need more candles there is a box, in the corner over there. I have some business to take care of. Ill be back shortly And I expect you to be able to light at lest one candle."

He stood and disappeared up the stairs. He seemed different He wasn't so cold.. He was a real...good teacher.... his voice even and maybe...even a tad kind. He didn't lash out or yell at him.

He had been expecting something worse, like getting lashed out at, or told down...not this. Lan actually sounded like a caring teacher, someone who wanted his student to excel. A soft smile forms on his lips as he looked at Lan, who had gotten up from the desk, and began to walk away. "I promise...I won't let you down!" He then turns his focus to the candles in front of him, trying to think of a "rock" as Lan put it. What was his rock... 'Well...it could be determination...but even that can waver...what about love? Or maybe...' He shakes his head, and then looks at the candle again, once again waving his hand in front of the candles, using hope as a rock. But it didn't work, and a pile of wax was the result.

 

He sighs in annoyance, before getting up and going to where Lan pointed the candles out to be, and drags the whole thing over next to the seat before placing new candles down and trying again. Over and over he tried, using different "rocks" but each time he failed. Once he got one lit, but he got overexcited about it, and ended up making the fire flare up so much it touched the ceiling, and then the candle blew up, sending wax everywhere, Miori barely managing to dodge the wax. He was starting to get exhausted, and he was down to the last four candles. He was dripping with sweat, and his whole body was trembling. "Right...I guess it wouldn't hurt to use this last "rock"....might as well..." He takes a deep breath, and focuses on Lan's face, before waving his hand, and then passed out before he could even see that he had lit all four candles, landing in a heap on the floor, passed out cold.

 

Upstairs, Alec sat on the couch, his hands folded in his lap, trying to think of what was going on. He had a feeling that Lan indeed was going to do something about them...and he didn't want to leave. He felt as if he was being replaced by that human, and the very thought made him grit his teeth in anger. "Damn human...how dare he steal away our master..." His eyes flash angrily, and he clenches his hands in fists.

After a while Lan came back down and was pissed.

"What the hell?!"

Why was his magic studying place covered in Wax!!! He glared at Miror as he laid there out cold. He noticed the four lit candles and bit his lip... The kid was a fast learner. He was impressed. He put out the candles and picked up Miror taking him up stairs and into the living room. He paid no attention to Alec as he put Miror on the couch across from him to sleep.

"My study is a mess. Go clean it up."

He muttered to Alec. He always made Ash do trial things like that...but then again Ash was in his room worried sick..

 

Lan Sat next to Miror on the couch. The human's head in his lap as he ran his fingers threw the boys hair. He use to do that to Alec! And now Lan wasn't even acknowledging his existence!

Miori flinches slightly when he felt someone pick him up, but he was too tired to move, or even open his eyes, so he let whoever it was do with him what they wanted, as he was surprised at how gentle the arms that were holding him were. He would be even more surprised to find out the one that was holding him was none other than Lan. He curls up slightly when he was set on the couch, and when Lan sits down, and having Miori's head on his lap, he sighs softly, an unconscious blush forming on his face, and a tiny smile on his lips when he felt the soft touch of someone's fingers running through his hair. His hand gently reaches up some, and rests on Lan's knee, his whole body relaxing against Lan. He felt so warm...so safe.

 

Alec stares at them, not having moved even when Lan told him to go and clean the study, he had just stood up when his master came into the room carrying the human, and at that sight the demon almost gave in to the fury that was coursing through his veins. He glares at the human, who looked so comfortable resting with his head on Lan's lap, it made him want to scream and yell, to beat the shit out of that human once more. But he held himself back, and instead stiffly bows to Lan, muttering a "Yes sir." And leaving, but before he left the room he shot an angry glare at the human, and a pissed off glare at Lan. 'How dare he do this to me? Making me do Ash's dirty work...He'll see what an angry demon can accomplish...' With that he retreats to the study, and begins to clean.

Lan glanced up as Alec left, a smirk growing on his face. Amused that the strong demon was so jealous. He looked down at the human. For lighting the candles, this was his reward. Sleeping on his lap. Even small things would make Miror happy. He knew this well. He snapped his fingers as a book appeared in his hand and He started reading...his free hand still creasing the humans locks.

What will you do Alec? Your slowly being replaced. Perhaps I don't need you and brother around much longer~

Alec was soon finished with cleaning, he really didn't have to try that hard, all he had to do was click his fingers a few times and make the wax that was coating everything disappear, as well as wipe off the table, straighten a few things, and he was done. As he washed the table, he glances down at his hand, he had taken his gloves off to wash the table, and now the contract seal that was on his skin could be seen, a glowing green demon pentagram. He pauses in his washing, standing up straight and raising his hand to eye level. He knew that the seal kept a demon from attacking his master, it kept him bound to the person. It also was like a sort of power container, sealing away his power so that his powers were limited, and he couldn't use his power to it's full extent...most demons could not break the seal, but Alec knew how, and could have done it any time he wanted to. His mark was on his left hand, and glowed green, while Ash's was on his right hand, and glowed blue. The co-respondent marks were on Lan's hands as well, left for Alec, right for Ash.

 

Only A and S class demons could break contract seals, as it was a tricky business...but now, after seeing Lan with that stupid human...Alec's eyes narrow, and he bares his teeth, before making his decision. He brings his other hand to his mouth, and bites his thumb, so that a prick of blood comes forth, and he runs it along the seal mark, as if slicing it in half, the crimson blood smearing over his skin, and at that moment the seal begins to glow even brighter, before dissolving and disappearing, freeing him from his contract. He grins as he felt his power return to him, and he knew that the moment that his mark disappeared from his hand, it would disappear from Lan's as well. "For now I will let him think I'm still loyal, I'll just say that I did it to protect him, as I felt the human was more powerful than I imagined, and so fear for his safety...yes. For now I will remain loyal...but not for long..." He then returns to cleaning, a smirk on his face.

 

Miori sighs softly, and shifts in his sleep, so that he was laying on his other side, his face buried into Lan's stomach, and his hand moving to grasp lightly at Lan's shirt, but he wasn't wearing one, so instead he clasped lightly to the edge of Lan's pants, his fingers brushing lightly against the man's hip, and his breath warm against Lan's skin. He still was smiling, the blush growing deeper as Lan continued to run his fingers in his hair, he loved that feeling. It made him feel secure, like he was safe. "Nnn...Lan..." He murmurs in his sleep, sighing again, and then falls silent once more.

As Lan Read he felt a tingling sensation on his left hand. He put the book aside and stared at the glowing contract as it disappeared. He was a tad surprised but he knew Alec would eventually try his patience.

I always knew you were a lose cannon. But the nerve of you to break our contract... you underestimated me Alec... I'm disappointed in you.

"Nnn...Lan..."[/Quote]

Lan paused looking down at Miror once more. Was it him that just said his name so...lovingly? What was this feeling? This warm fuzzy feeling? No! He was weakening! He was becoming attached to the boy. He shook his head As he stopped creasing the Miror and pulled away. Leaving the boy sleeping on the couch. A shirt appeared on his body as he went down to his study. And when he saw Alec He stoped.

"Is there a reason you broke our contract. "

Death in his voice and he closed the door behind him and locked it..with a loud slam. his eyes undressing Alec, a sick smile Grew on his face...dangerous... he was clearly mad...

Alec looked up when he saw Lan enter the room, and it took everything in his will to not attack the man, as it was in a demon's true nature to kill. "Yes, master, there is a reason for what I did. I needed to break it as the power within that human you've come to dote on, and make your pet is much greater than I had foreseen. He is dangerous, and it will take all of my power to keep you safe, with the contract my power was limited, I couldn't do much, but now I can serve you to the fullest, with all of my powers to my disposal." He saw the smile on Lan's face, but knew that the man couldn't do much to him now, even a man of his power couldn't dispose of a demon with his ranking. He would know not to push his luck with Alec.

 

"I can understand you're angry...but don't get ahead of yourself master. You might just end up getting yourself hurt...or worse." He bows again, hiding his smirk, and his eyes, which were returning to their demonic form, which were slitted like a snakes, and glowing green with silver specks and black outline. "Now then, master, I need to check on Ash, he's been alone too long and I fear he might have accidentally done something stupid...excuse me." He stands up straight, the smirk gone, and his eyes partway closed. He disappears in a flurry of wind and fire, papers flying everywhere, and was gone, reappearing in the bedroom.

 

Upstairs, on the couch, Miori stirs, the warmth that had been with him having left, causing him to shiver slightly. His eyes open, and he blinks, surprised to find himself no longer in the study, but laying down on the couch in the living room. He sits up slowly, rubbing the back of his head, and shivers again, it had suddenly gotten really cold, having no idea that it was him making it cold, and he feels a cold something on his cheek. He reaches up and felt a wet drop, and when he looked up towards the ceiling...he saw that it was snowing! INSIDE! And he had no clue that it was him making it happen. Before he even knew it the whole room was covered in a thin layer of fluffy white snow, and Miori could see his breath as he sat on the couch, shivering.

Lan was pissed. His angry was on full blast. He watched as Alec left. NO LEAVES UNLESS HE SAYS YOU COULD LEAVE!!

He went upstairs to confront the demon again when he stopped dead in his tracks. It was snowing in his house!

"Miror! Stop making it snow this instant! "

He went over to the other. Already livid, he was in no mood to deal with the Miror.

 

Ash was surprised seeing his brother suddenly appear.

"What did you do?! Master is more ferrous then before! "

He looked mad and yet worried.

Miori flinches when Lan appears, yelling at him to make it stop snowing. Tears well up in his eyes, he was exhausted as it was, and he was sore, not to mention he had no clue how he was doing it! "I'm sorry...I-I don't know how..." Tears spilled over, and he began to sob, hiding his face behind his hands, he felt worthless. He gets up from the couch and runs from the room, the snow stopping there, but following Miori where he went, so when he was in his room, it snowed there instead, but it was colder, and the tears that were falling down his cheeks froze on his skin. He curls up under his blankets, trembling, wanting to be alone...to die.

 

"What did I do? I did what was best. And you should too...wait you can't! You're worthless!" He smirks, and leans against the wall, his tail that had appeared flipping back and forth. Another thing that had occurred from being in a contract was that his personality was slightly altered, making him seem loving and caring and trustworthy, when in all reality he couldn't give to shits about someone, least of all his brother, whom in reality he hated with all his soul...well, if he had a soul to begin with. "You know what? I'm leaving...and you, little brother...can have fun..." He laughs, loving the look of shock that was no doubt sprawled across his brother's face. "Later bro." He disappears again, this time leaving the house and returning to the place where only demons could go...He was tired of playing the lap dog, it was time for a change. As he appeared in his own home, deep in the depths of hell, he began to laugh, and flops on his bed. "Let's see how well that human can get along without me around...he'll be begging me to come back in no time..."

Lan sighed.

That fucking cry baby

He went to go after him until he felt Alec's pretense disappear.

So he left...

He glanced at his right hand.. Ash's contract still there. And Ash came running down the stairs. He thought his brother loved him...

"Master Lan!!"

Running into the other crying.

Great... like I didn't have enough cry baby's

Lan pulled ash away looking deep into the weak demons eyes.

Ash bit his lip Struggling to wipe his tears, ash and Alec had always been together....so why... why now? Why did he ditch him?

 

Lan stepped into Mirror's room frowning.

"Miror. You need to clam down and relax. Use your rock... find your rock and control your abilities. "

His voice stern but understanding as he came closer to Miror.

Miori's heart nearly stopped when he heard Lan's voice from the doorway, fear filling him as he sat up slowly from the bed, his eyes wide as he watched Lan come closer, his breath catching in his chest at how understanding the man's voice sounded. His heart began to pound in his chest, his vision getting hazy from fear, he was scared that Lan would lash out at him if the snow didn't stop, so he takes a deep breath, closes his eyes, and focuses, not using the rock from before, and because of this it fails, the snow turning into a storm, rain falling from the ceiling, and lightning crashing around the room, thunder making the windows rattle.

 

He opens his eyes, and begins to cry even harder. He was so scared, and because of this he couldn't focus! Not to mention Lan kept moving closer to him! "Um, um...SORRY!!!" He closes his eyes, his breathing fast, his heart racing even more, and he thinks of another rock, but once again it fails, the storm turning into a blizzard. Try after try after try, he kept getting it wrong. They went through a windstorm, a heat wave, a hailstorm, a miniature tornado, a meteor shower, a fire storm, and many other types of storms before finally Miori resorted to using the rock from last time. He was shaking, and takes a deep breath, focuses, and of course...it finally ended, the room became normal, and he slumps against the wall, sliding down to the floor.
