Lucas blinked, his expression turning into a somewhat hurt one. "Alright, sorry." He apologized quietly before turning to the counter, his blond hair falling in a way his face was covered from Bo. The tall male sighed softly and took the teas and the pie into his hands, then, without saying anything else, walked off to a table and sat down, putting one cup on the other side for Bo. He wasn't angry - just dissappointed and maybe even hurt.

Bo wanted to tug on his hair in frustration; his inability to be social had caused him to upset Lucas, which was not what he had wanted at all. He hesitated a moment before sighing and walking over to the blonde, sitting across from him. "I'm sorry," he mumbled again, wrapping his hands around his tea and pulling the cup close, not even caring about how hot is was to touch. "I should have told you that I'm no fun to hang out with."

Lucas breathed out softly and shook his head with a light smile. "Don't worry, I went ahead of myself." He said softly as he raised his eyes up to Bo where all the hurt showed. "Can you tell me more about yourself?" The blond asked softly as he cut a piece of the pie and put it into his mouth before reaching out for his tea. He was stupid to behave like that, but he rarely got a chance to go out with anyone... And now Bo basically pushed him away!

The young man was not blind to the pain in the others' eyes, and it made him feel horribly guilty. He looked away, squeezing the cup tightly. "There's not much to know," he said softly. "I got good grades in school. Didn't have many friends, but that was okay. My parents worked all the time. I never did anything interesting." All I seem to be able to accomplish is screw up friendships.

Lucas let out a small smile when he heard the nurse's words. "Ah, I see." He said simply as he took a small sip of the tea and sighed softly. "What do your parents work as?" The blond was obviously trying to keep the conversation going. His brown eyes didn't change their look though - the man really couldn't help it. Once he realized there was something more he wanted to be with Bo, he knew he wouldn't be able to forget even for a second...

The auburn-haired man shrugged, keeping his eyes on the reddish-brown of his tea, his fingers tapping against the sides. "Just business. They travel a lot. I've never really had time to ask them exactly what they did. I only saw them once a week as a kid." He had minded a lot back then, as he felt lonely all the time, but now he really didn't care about his parents. At least not as much.

Lucas blinked and let out a rather sad smile. “That doesn't really sound nice of them...“ He said softly as he took another sip of his tea. “So who took care of you while they were gone?“ The blond asked with a small smile that didn't reach his eyes. So it was stupid for him to react this way - he couldn't help it. Right then Catherine ran up to him and smiled widely, reaching out her hands as a sign she wanted to be picked up. With a soft chuckle, the tall male picked his sister up and held her on his lap, lightly combing through her hair as he waited for his answers.

Bo glanced warily at the little girl, suddenly uncomfortable. "No one did. I stayed home alone." He never once touched his tea, instead running his fingers through his hair uneasily. "My uncle used to visit, but he died when I was in middle school."

Lucas let out a small sigh when he heard Bo's words. “I'm sorry to hear that.“ He said quietly as he gently stroked Cath's hair while she observed the nurse with big eyes. “Why do you seem so sad?“ She questioned as she glanced at the auburn-haired man. “Are you not feeling well?“ The blonde seemed to be honestly concerned with Bo - he was the guy her brother loved, after all.

The young nurse sighed again, giving the little girl a small smile, but it was not genuine. "I'm fine," he said softly, trying to sound reassuring and convincing. "I'm just not used to going out like this." Though he said this, and it was partially true--he had gone out with friends before but never really participated in conversation as he was now--he was actually very upset about making Lucas upset.

Catherine puffed out her cheeks as she not-so-gracefully slid down from her brother's lap and walked towards the nurse, grabbing his hand. "Not believing you! Come with me!" She said with a smile as she tugged the man's arm while Lucas chuckled and reached out to gently pull her away. "Cath, let him drink the tea, at least. You can show it to him once he finishes~"

Bo's eyes widened and he appeared extremely uncomfortable. Anything to break the tension... "Um, no, it's okay, she can show me." He was slightly curious as to what she wanted to show him, but his nervousness was making him feel jittery and exposed. He wanted to apologize to Lucas but he couldn't find the words.

Catherine smiled widely and stuck out her tongue for Lucas. “But you should come too!“ She said with a smile as the blond chuckled and shook his head. “It's okay, just...“ As the tall male pulled out his wallet, Catherine smiled once again and took the money her brother gave her before pulling Bo off. While she was walking, the girl hummed to herself - something her brother did all the time as well.

Bo had quickly picked up on this habit the two siblings had, as he was quite attentive, and wondered why they liked to hum so often. He watched as Lucas handed his sister some money and really wondered what she was going to show him. He let out a quiet sigh--realizing that he had been doing that a lot but not caring--and allowed the little girl to pull him away from the table.

Catherine smiled to herself as she walked outside of the cafe and down the street, all the while humming and holding Bo's hand. After some time, they reached a small park and a guy who was sitting there with a guitar, singing a song. Very few people were around, so once the guy noticed Catherine, he stopped and smiled softly. "Catherine, hi!" He said happily as his blue eyes shone. The man had black hair that reached his shoulders and his eyes seemed to become a bit surprised when he saw Bo. "Did you come to listen or?.."

Unsure if the man was asking him or Catherine, the auburn-haired nurse just shrugged awkwardly, his blue eyes flickering to the side so they would not connect with the others'. She brought me to listen? He hadn't expected it, but it was a welcome activity.

Catherine smiled widely and tugged Bo closer. "Both! He was sad, so I brought him here~" She said without any worries while the man chuckled and nodded. "Miss. Mittens is there, and I'll play something fun then." He said softly as he motioned at the side, where a small kitty was laying. Meanwhile the man began playing a song - Yellow Submarine. It was a song most people knew and it was fun, at the very least.

If Catherine had been a part of his own family, Bo wouldn't complained about her calling him 'sad'. He would have protested, but he didn't know her very well, so he kept his mouth shut and tried to focus on the song. He found himself only partially listening, drifting back into his thoughts as he stared at the small cat.

Catherine giggled softly as she pulled Bo towards the kitty and smiled while crouching down to take it into her hands. “This is Miss Mittens~!“ She said merrily as she showed the sleepy kitty to Bo. “I always come here when something's wrong... Is this helping you?“ The blonde asked softly as she looked at the nurse before holding the cat out to him, a somewhat shy expression on her face.

Bo visibly recoiled as the cat was thrust at him, not expecting the sudden movement. He hesitated before reaching out and taking the animal from her, holding it quite awkwardly with an unsure expression on his face. "Um...yes, it is, a bit," he confessed. It was helping him to take his mind off of his obvious flaw and how he had hurt his friend. But he knew that he would still have to apologize. "Thank you, uh, Catherine."

Catherine giggled softly before reaching out and fixing the way Bo was holding the kitty. “You have to hold her like this!“ She said with a smile before turning around and running towards the street singer. The girl sat down next to him and smiled as she began kicking her legs and humming along... But the song finished soon and the man chuckled as he stroked the blonde hair a bit. “Cat, don't you have school tomorrow? You can come listen tomorrow and Miss. Mittens will be here too~“ Catherine sighed softly and pouted before sliding to the ground. “I guess...“

Bo was surprised to hear that the little girl had school the next day. It was already quite late. It then occurred to him that, because of her age, she probably started the school day much later than the higher grades. He smiled slightly and placed the cat down next to the girl, the hairs sticking to his black outfit. He brushed off a few strands. Now that his mood had lifted and he had calmed--the anxiety had dissipated once he became comfortable--he was ready to spend time with Lucas in a productive fashion.

The man glanced at Bo and let out a smile. "Are you a friend of Lucas? I'm Jake, by the way." The singer said softly as he extended his hand for the nurse. "Get Cat here back to her brother or their mother will kill me for keeping her up..." The black-haired male said with a light chuckle as he shook his head and smiled, keeping his blue eyes locked onto the seemingly younger man.

Bo returned the smile, though it was shy, and shook his hand. "Uh, yes, I am. I'm Bo. It was nice to meet you." He pulled away and looked at the younger girl, his expression asking her if she was ready to leave.

Catherine had a small pout on her face as she walked towards Bo and tightly gripped onto his arm. “Carry me~“ She said with a childish grin before looking over at the singer. “Bye-byee~ I'll come tomorrow after school!“ The girl promised as she tugged on the nurse's sleeve. “Pleeeease?“
