The nurse seemed to understand her predicament and gently put his arms around her waist, pulling her upwards and shifting her around until he had a good grip on her that was still comfortable for the little girl. He walked to the door and closed it behind him before going down the hall. "Do you want me to tell Lucas what happened?" he asked.

Both of Catherine's small hands were now gripping tightly on Bo's shirt as she was picked up. She nodded lightly at the question as she glanced down at the floor. "Lu always gets to know everything..." She mumbled out before sniffling again and rubbing her eyes with her fist, wiping off any tears that escaped.

He didn't comment on her tears, having a feeling that she didn't want him to see her crying. He simply nodded in response to her statement and entered the kitchen, seeing Lucas across the room. He set Catherine down on one of the chairs and went over to the blonde. "Um, she fell out of the bed," he said quietly and a bit awkwardly. "She's not hurt, though."

Lucas was calmly making the pancakes, humming softly under his nose when Bo came in with Catherine. He immediately understood that something was wrong - and the nurse's words explained everything to him real quick. “Oh, again?“ He chuckled softly as he smiled and took out the last pancake, putting it on a plate as he placed the pan into the sink. “That happens sometimes...“ He muttered out as he walked to his sister and began talking with her gently - he seemed like the perfect brother like this.

Bo watched them talk and sighed quietly, turning away after a moment and looking around the kitchen again; it looked a bit different with sunlight streaming in from the windows. He wished that he was good with kids like Lucas was. He was awkward around them, never sure of what to do or how to act to make them happy.

Lucas smiled softly as he gently patted the girl's hair and chuckled before standing up and walking back to Bo. “All good now~“ He said with a light chuckle as he smiled and leaned in to the younger man to peck his lips slightly. “Now, let's eat.“ He said with a warm smile as he took the pancakes and put the plate on the table, then grabbed three glasses to fill them with orange juice.

Bo jumped when Lucas seemed to appear behind him. His face flushed lightly when the blond kissed him, and he could only nod in response to the older man's statement. He had been so deep in thought that both of his actions had startled him. He took a moment to calm himself before walking over to the table and taking a seat.

Lucas chuckled quietly to himself at the adorable reaction he got from Bo. While Catherine was still sniffling while quietly rubbing her eyes, the blond smiled softly and lightly kissed her cheek. "Come on, kitty, don't be sad anymore~" He said with a light smile as he lightly tickled her sides, getting a soft giggle from the child - it was an adorable sight for sure..

Bo tilted his head when he heard the pet-name, wondering why it had been given to the little girl; he couldn't help but think about whether or not there was a story behind it. He blinked when he realized that he was staring at the girl and quickly looked away. Good job, Bo, he reprimanded himself, act like an idiot in front of your boyfriend. It still felt a bit strange referring to Lucas in such a way.

Lucas let out a soft chuckle as he kissed his sister's cheek and smiled. “See? Even Bo can't keep his eyes off of you when you laugh~“ He whispered out to Catherine before laughing softly, accompanied by the girl herself. The blond soon went to sit down next to the nurse, gently putting an arm around his waist as he smiled and reached for one pancake. “Go on, eat~“

Suddenly feeling extremely self-conscious, Bo hesitated before taking one of the pancakes, gently picking it up with his fork and putting it onto his plate. Because he never went out, he rarely ate with other people, and it seemed awkward to him to do so. He waited for the siblings to start eating before doing so himself, and he ate rather slowly, as if he was participating in a surgery.

Lucas stared at Bo for a while, fighting back the urge to laugh out loud at how carefully he was eating his food. "Sheesh, Bo, it's not like I poisoned them." He said with a roll of eyes while Catherine let out a soft giggle, now happily swaying her legs while sitting on the chair. "That's right~! If you don't eat, Lu will get the monster to come to you and take all your food!"

Bo's face flushed with embarrassment--he had never been a fan of being the center of attention, even for a brief moment--and he kept his eyes focused on his plate. "Sorry," he said softly, not registering the 'monster' comment until a few seconds later. His reaction was delayed, but he felt uncomfortable asking about it and instead just poked at his food.

Lucas sighed out softly and leaned in closer to Bo, lightly brushing a hand over his forehead. “Are you feeling alright?“ He asked softly before putting in a piece of the pancake into his mouth. “Or are the pancakes not for your taste?“ The blond faked being hurt as he looked away at Catherine, putting on a hilarious pout.

The auburn-haired man opened his mouth to respond with a quiet, 'I'm fine', but he was cut off just as he was taking a breath by Lucas' second comment. His blue eyes widened when he saw the pout, but not in laughter; he had never been teased in a friendly way, so he was interpreting this completely incorrectly. Instead of the kind teasing that friends or family give each other, he saw only spiteful words. He swallowed the growing lump in his throat and looked over at the clock on the wall. "I should go," he said softly, knowing he was over-reacting but finding himself unable to think rationally. At the hospital and in classes he was considered one of the smartest; with other people, he was naive.

Lucas blinked a few times as he stared at Bo, his eyebrows raising slightly in confusion before he sighed out and shook his head. "C'mon, you took that seriously? Booo..." He grunted out as he huffed and looked at the nurse with a small frown befofe leaning in closer and gently kissing his cheek. "Eat at least one more, then I'll drive you, okay?" He asked softly as he smiled and gently ran a hand over the auburn hair. His touch was just as gentle and soft as always - maybe even more this time.

The now gentle touch and soft voice was adding to his confusion. The part of him that was a rational adult who shared feelings for Lucas told him to calm down and accept the joke, but the part of him that was a bullied adolescent was trying to get him to panic. Though he had tried to move on, there were some things he hadn't been able to get over. If his uncle were alive, he would have told Bo to talk to someone about it, but the nurse was too busy to have a counselor. "S-sorry." He forced himself to sit still, rigid under Lucas' hand. What was wrong with him? Lucas was the one who needed help, but he was selfishly placing himself as the victim. It added to the lump in his throat.

Lucas blinked a few times and huffed as he took Bo's hand and gently cupped his cheek with one hand, making the nurse face him. “Is something wrong?“ He asked quietly, looking straight into the blue eyes. The blond seemed at least slightly worried as gently tucked a few strands of hair behind Bo's ear, smiling softly to him. “If you don't want to, don't eat and just leave it, my parents might be hungry in the morning as well~“ Lucas said softly as he smiled.

Bo blinked his blue eyes several times to keep them dry. He swallowed a few times so that he could speak clearly, and he said in an abnormally soft voice, "I..." He glanced at Catherine and then lowered his head, letting out a shaky sigh. "I can't talk about it," he whispered. "But...it's not important. I'm sorry for worrying you." He forced a smile and stood up, taking his plate over to the sink. Once he had cleaned up he said, "I'm going to get dressed." he quickly left the room without another word.

Lucas blinked, confusion and worry slowly appearing in his eyes as he watched Bo quietly - it seemed like Catherine also realized something was wrong and now was just staring at the pancakes with a slightly trembling lower lip. When the nurse left, her first question was, "Does he hate me?" Her voice was trembling slightly as she looked up at her brother who just smiled and kissed her forehead. "Of course not. Just give him some time... Look, you can finish your breakfast and I'll go talk to him." He promised softly before turning around and walking after Bo - once he found him, his arms immediately wrapped around his waist, pulling the younger male closer. "Now, tell me what's wrong."

Bo had been leaning against the wall in the middle of the hallway, eyes closed and one hand over his mouth and nose, the other hanging limply by his side. Lucas' sudden appearance startled him, and his first reaction was to move away; he jerked out of the blonde's grip and faced him with wide, slightly teary blue eyes. "Wh-what?" He shook his head. "I said it's not important. Just forget about it."

Lucas' eyes showed sadness and hurt for a short moment - just before he noticed Bo's teary - even if just slightly - eyes. His lips pursed into a small frown as he took the other's hand, gently while looking straight into his eyes. "No." He muttered out as he sighed out and lightly brushed one finger over Bo's cheek. "Something is wrong, and it is important. Anything that can make you sad is! Bo, please... Just tell me.."

Bo looked away from Lucas, biting his lip as he struggled to think of a way to explain himself. "I..." He sighed and shook his head. "It's stupid. So stupid. And it's all my fault." He rested his head back against the wall. "I'm a grown adult and I'm still letting bad memories from high-school affect me."

Lucas blinked a few times and let out a soft sigh as he leaned closer and lightly kissed the other's forehead. "Can you tell me more?" He asked softly, a small smile on his face as he took Bo's hands into his own. "Maybe I can help somehow... I don't like seeing you sad." The blond muttered out with a soft sigh as he looked at the nurse warmly.

"I'm supposed to be helping you," he said softly, almost whispering. His blue eyes opened and he looked at Lucas with a guilty expression. "What you've gone through...it's so much worse than simple bullying. You shouldn't have to help me. I should be the one doing the helping."
