The doctor smiled softly to one of the nurses and walked up to her, his blue eyes radiating calmness. He gave her a small nod before heading towards one of the cabinets. A new patient came in today, and Jake got him as his own. The blond let out another soft smile as he passed one of his colleagues, an old friend.

 

The doctor then headed towards the room his new patient was at and knocked gently before walking in. "Hi there~ I'm doctor Gorium." He introduced himself with a soft smile as his gaze fell on the man in the bed. Apparently, this one got into a fight and was injured... Really, people just didn't care for their health anymore.

White, white, white. The color was everywhere, and it drove him insane. He didn't want to be here.He didn't want this order, this cleanliness, this scent of hospital. Shifting under his sheets, the raven haired male muttered angrily under his breath. He couldn't even move around efficiently, for his left leg was slung and suspended in the air. That punk had to goddamn slug him in the leg, and now he was going to be stuck here for a while. It was torture.

 

Aaron was part of a gang. Fighting was a part of his life, and that was that. Being injured here and there didn't phase him; this was the first time that he'd been rendered incapable of taking care of himself. And now he was in the care of . . . a blonde bimbo?

 

Scoffing slightly, the younger male narrowed his eyes in scrutiny at the entrance of the doctor. He looked like a little pretty boy. Why couldn't he have gotten some old man? Geez, this was all just a waste of time.

 

"Yo."

Jake raised his eyebrows and let out a smile. "How are you feeling?" He asked softly while walking towards the man in front of him. The blond hated the fact that he looked so young... Everyone seemed to take him for some young guy who wasn't good for much. Rarely his patients trusted him from the first moments... Well, until he started taking care of them.

 

"If you don't mind, I would like to ask you a few questions." He said softly as his blue eyes trailed over Aaron's body. The leg was the biggest injury, yet there were some older wounds... This fight definitely wasn't the first one for the raven haired man.

 

While working here, Jake got to work with a few guys who got into fights. They were usually less likely to talk about it, especially to someone who looked as young as he did. Sometimes the blond cursed his genes...

Tch. Of course he would. As if he was going to reveal anything to this little blonde boy. Rolling his neck, Aaron let out a soft groan. Having to stay on his back all the time was tedious, his muscles were cramping up.

 

With an exasperated exhale, he directed his dark gaze at his pretty little doctor. "Mm, of course you do." Who did these people think they were, anyways? Doing his best to stretch out his long, lanky body in the confound space, the ravenette winced ever so slightly. Fuck, this was ridiculous.

 

"Whatever. Have at it, Doc'."

Jake raised an eyebrow and sighed softly. "Does anything else hurt besides your leg? We couldn't find more injuries... Though that was mostly because you wouldn't let us." It seemed that the doctor was slightly annoyed. Young guys like this one were always so reckless... And they refused to accept help from others, too!

 

He pursed his lips slightly while walking towards the new patient to sit down on a chair. His blue eyes trailed over the other's body and he could feel a small frown appearing on his face. If he could, he would make this idiot stay here for a lot longer... Just to make sure each one of those wounds are healed completely.

Was he sassing him? Tch. "Yeah, my neck. I'm fuckin' uncomfortable." If the blonde honestly thought that he was going to oblige to his wishes, he was wrong. Or perhaps he didn't? Fuck, his head really hurt. He couldn't even think straight.

 

"How long do I have to be here?" Bringing a hand up and rubbing it over his face, Aaron tried his best to keep his thoughts organized. The pressure at his temples was quite the distraction, and he just wanted to sleep, or leave. Either way, he didn't want to deal with any of these doctors and nurses and bright, fluorescent lights.

 

"Can you turn off the damn lights?"

A soft sigh escaped the doctor's lips and he closed his eyes for a few moments. "I'm afraid there's no way I can help you with that... Since your leg is broken, it has to be in this position. Though, if you really wish to, I could get you some pillows so you could sit comfortably without damaging your leg any more."

 

The blond blinked a few times when he heard the request... No, it sounded more like an order. Jake frowned slightly before quickly calming himself down. He stood up and walked over to turn the lights off, then glanced back at Aaron. "You'll have to stay here until your leg... Actually, maybe until all of your injuries are healed. I wouldn't want to let you go home with wounds left..." The doctor said quietly, then walked back to sit on the chair.

Rolling his head to the side, the raven haired male fixed his sharp gaze upon the small doctor, eyes squinting. Now that it was dark, the lights obviously couldn't bother him as much, but he'd sacrificed his vision. He had a pretty face. Dark hues soon adapted to the darkness, as he proceeded to glance down at the doctor's hand. He didn't see a ring. He wasn't married? Pfft. What was he doing with all his money, then, if not supporting a family?

 

"And if I don't want to?" Already distracted, he adjusted himself, so he was once again looking at the ceiling. It was hot. He felt sweaty. He didn't feel good. Fuck everything. "It's hot. Can I shower? Can you leave? Can I leave so I can take a shower at home?"

Jake sighed softly and shook his head. "I'm afraid not. The best I can do about the hotness is turn on a fan, and as for showering... No one's going to let you do it on yourself, so someone should be there to help you out. If you'd be okay with that, I can call a nurse." He offered softly and leaned back against the chair.

 

"I'll leave soon, don't worry. I can see you're not exactly enjoying my company..." Jake let out a small chuckle and shook his head. "Sorry, it's just that guys like you all seem the same. Why do you sacrifice your healthy body to some fight?" He asked with slight amusement in his voice.

"As if I'm going to let some woman see me naked. Forget it." As for his questions... Aaron's annoyance seemed never ending. What the fuck did he just say to him? The nerve.

 

His voice was hard and cold, the delivery of his response directed up at the ceiling, as he didn't even give the man the pleasure of being spoken directly to. "People like you will never understand." And it was true. Ignorance is bliss. This man had lived through his life, gaining an education that would steadily support him for the rest of his life. He didn't have a problem in the world. Thus, the venom in his own voice could not be withheld. This man was so damn lucky, and he was spending his time judging others. Tch.

Jake raised his eyebrows. From Aaron's comment he could only think that the other was homosexual... Well, so was he, so he had no point in judging him there.

 

The doctor blinked a few times before he felt a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "People like me? What exactly do you mean by this, if you don't mind me asking?" The blond asked in amusement. He was always curious to find out the reason for people's fighting... Some did it to forget, some - to prove that they were just as strong as someone else. The blue-eyed male smiled softly and tilted his head. What exactly was Aaron's reason?

Was he really going to have to repeat his thoughts? No. He wasn't going to. His head hurt, his leg hurt, his pride hurt, and his neck hurt. And a few other things here and there, but that wasn't point. His point was that he didn't want to deal with this man.

 

Instead of answering him, he grunted. He'd give anything to at least be able to roll over onto his side. His thigh hurt. Why did thinks have to fucking hurt? "Help me sit up or whatever. My joints hurt." Well, there went his silent treatment. But at least he got to boss him around a bit. Aaron was top dog, and he didn't want this doctor to feel superior. He wasn't. Not at all.

Jake let out a small chuckle before nodding. He put away the papers he held in one hand and stood up to get a few more pillows. Aaron was simply amusing for the doctor.. They all were, at some point. Always thinking that they could do as they please - it was kind of dumb.

 

The blond came back with the pillows and smiled gently at Aaron while gently moving the upper part of his body up. He placed the pillows in a way they would be comfortable to lean on, then glanced at his patient. "Is this alright or should I get more pillows?"

As he was adjusted, Aaron placed his hand on the doctor's shoulder, to make sure that he wouldn't fall back. Five slender digits held fast to the small man. It was curious, really. He was such a little thing. Surely he was older than him. He looked young, but since he was a doctor, what was he. In his early thirties, maybe? He couldn't be that young. Either way, he was so thin, so fragile. Press too hard, and he might break.

 

"Mm... I guess it'll do." He was still uncomfortable, but at least he wasn't lying down anymore. Rolling his head to crack his neck, he promptly remembered to release the doctor, his hand sliding to his side.

Jake smiled softly and pulled away once Aaron said that he was comfortable. "Anything else you need me for? Perhaps you're hungry?" He asked softly as he once again sat down on the chair and took the papers bak into his hands. The blond honestly wanted to help the other in whatever way he could... Seeing someone hurt was like some daily routine for the doctor, yet each time he hated it.

 

"Or maybe you need to contact someone?" The blue-eyed man asked with a slightly saddened voice. Talking about family was always bad for him... The man had lost both parents when he was a high-schooler, and just a few years ago he learned that he could never be a biological father to someone. It was as if someone just didn't want for him to get a family...

Hungry. Was he? Probably. It's been a while since he's had a decent meal, so he'd learned to ignore it. But frankly, he was pretty sure that any food from a hospital would be mushy an gross. Thus he have a sharp shake of his head to indicate his answer, eyes wandering.

 

And actually with that shake of his head, some of his long hair fell into his eyes, which reminded him something. "..." Blowing it out of his face, Aaron glanced sideways at the blonde. "My hair is dirty. I'll need to shower later, but I want to do it on my own. And no, I do not need to contact anyone."

Jake blinked and let out a chuckle. "I told you, as long as your leg isn't healed, none of us will let you to shower alone. For all we know, you might slip and fall, in which way you might damage your leg more... If you don't want a woman helping you, we can always get a man." The doctor offered softly and smiled at Aaron.

 

When he heard the other say that he didn't need to contact anyone, the blue eyes showed a tint of curiosity. "Won't your family get worried?" He asked quietly before turning his eyes down at the papers in his hands. Why was he even continuing this conversation?..

Sorry for the late reply, and I hope you don't mind that I change up my formatting here. If it's annoying to the eye, I can neglect it, it's just that I decided to change it up now. xD

With an annoyed puff, the male looked at the doctor. "Why the fuck would that make a difference?" Oh, it would. But that didn't mean that he wanted to. With a condescending, smug tone, Aaron jeered. "Doc', are you offerin' to shower with me~?"

Lidding his dark, charcoal eyes, the male tilted his head at a sharp angle, cracking his neck. Ah, much better. Now, why was this guy being so nosy? He just said that he didn't need to contact anyone. Thus, he completely ignored the question. He didn't have to tell anyone anything. Damn it, he shouldn't even be here, with these people.

Jake blinked a few times, raising his eyebrows. “No, it would simply be a male nurse... I have other patients to take care of, after all.“ He smiled and let out a soft chuckle. “Would you shower if I helped you?..“ The doctor questioned with a slightly curious look on his face. Maybe Aaron would actually agree to do so?

 

With a small sigh, the blond smiled and looked at the taller male. “Is there any other way I could help you out? If not, I would like to go see my other patients.“

The male had opened his mouth to speak some sort of sarcastic reply, but upon hearing the doctor's words, he scoffed.

 

"Very well then, go visit your other patients. I shouldn't even fuckin' be here. And I don't need a goddamn shower here or anything anyways, why don't you let me go home?

Jake sighed softly as he shook his head, his blue eyes showing the slightest bit of irritation. "May I ask how would you plan on getting home with a broken leg? I don't think you could possibly walk." He said almost coldly as he looked at his patient with a frown.

 

"Especially if you live alone, there's no way I could let you go. When you're alone, there are far too many risks of your hurting yourself further. I advise just staying here and letting yourself heal completely." The blond said softly as he let out a smile and tilted his head, waiting for Aaron to reply further.

With an annoyed groan, he threw his head back. Generally, he didn't have that much of a temper. Or rather, he was efficient at subduing it. But he simply did not want to be in a damn hospital with a blonde bimbo of a doctor.

 

"Then give me some crutches!" Sitting up, he reached for the straps that held his leg suspended in the air. Grunting in annoyance, his dark orbs glanced towards the doctor with a glare, silently demanding help, or no interference,

"No." It was a simple response as the doctor sighed and shook his head before lightly pushing Aaron back to bed - just with enough force to get the result. "I would be glad if you stopped doing all this. We don't want you any bad, I hope you understand that."

 

His blue eyes showed slight worry and a bit of guilt as he looked at the other. "I'm afraid I cannot give you crutches yet. If you could wait at least a few days, that might be possible - but you still won't be able to leave the hospital."

Aaron was just about done with everything. Even though he was aware the comparison was rather misplaced and unreasonable, he did not care. He was simply fed up with everything. Reaching up with his hand, the male wrapped four long digits around the doctor's slender wrist, his thumb roughly pressing into the soft skin. How dare he lay a finger on him? The ravenette was disgusted.

 

"Doctor Gorium, was it? Let me tell you a fuckin' story, blondie. You know, it's kind of funny. I had a brother, once. His name doesn't really matter anymore. Regardless, he was like the father I never had. Yeah, yeah, sob story, whatever. My point is that I loved him. One lovely day, when the sun was shining outside and the birds were a' chirpin', he got in a fight. Again, the details don't matter. What matters is the the doctor that made him stay. Doctor Gorium. Do you know him? Probably not, he was in a hospital a town or so over. Old man. Have you ever heard of mercy killing? Do you want to know where my brother is now?"

 

Yanking down on the doctor's arm, he pulled him in closer, his face set in harsh lines. "You're going to let me go. I do not want to be in a hospital, much less with anyone by the name of Gorium. Give me some fucking crutches. I have friends, they can help me. Don't worry your pretty little heart."

Jake narrowed his bright blue eyes as he felt the hand on his wrist - this wasn't going to be easy, hm? He sighed out softly as he sighed, getting ready to listen to whatever his patient had the need to talk about...

 

However, the more he listened, the better he could feel anger boiling up inside of him - the same anger he hadn't felt in years. "Don't ever compare me to him." He almost hissed out through clenched teeth as he yanked his arm out of Aaron's grip. "I know that guy. I wish I didn't." The blond said coldly as he pursed his lips and closed his eyes for a few moments to at least try and collect himself. "The doctor you're talking about - he's my father... I know well enough what happened to your brother. And believe me, I would have rather watched my father die instead." The short male said coldly, but clearly as he straightened up, looking at the other with sharp eyes.

 

"So I suggest you stop complaining and just wait." He hissed out - being calm when the talk turned to his father was very hard for Jake. "If you ever compare me to... To that trash, you can forget about leaving this hospital until every single injury you have is healed completely. I won't care if that's a papercut or another broken bone - you will not leave this place." The blond said coldly once more as he tilted his head and pursed his lips, as if awaiting if the other had to say anything else.
