firebird
Giza Age:20 Appearance: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dark blue eyes remained passive as the owner of these eyes made his way down the castle's now empty hallways determined on getting to the bathroom before his well-constructed wall and resolve broke. His steps hastened the closer he got to his destination. It was the day of his father's funeral so of course he would cry but he would keep some dignity in tact while at it by hiding. What would the people think if they saw their king-to-be wailing and sniffling like a spoiled child being denied his favorite toy? That was a question he did not need to know the answer to. So he hid, in the bathroom which he had finally come upon. His composure broke as soon as the door closed behind him. He frustratingly ripped the black hair tie from his long silver mane, allowing his hair to spill over his shoulders and fall at his sides. He didn't dare look at the mirror, he was afraid of what he would see. It was a fact that the water works had already begun and he could only imagine the pitiful look on his face as sorrowful tears made their way down his cheeks and onto the floor. He gripped the face basin in a tight, unrelenting grip. He tried to stop the tears, he honestly did but no matter what he tried they just kept falling, ruining his normally passive, impeccable face with tear tracks and an exhausted look. It wasn't that he didn't know his father was going to die. As a matter of fact, he foresaw it but denied it being true. It's just a dream, he had said, most of the time my visions are wrong anyway. Oh how he truly wished it was a dream now, but it was real. Reality was staring him in the face holding him at gunpoint telling him to accept it and live or deny it and get shot. He had four brothers to live for and a kingdom to protect. Why his father chose him, the youngest, to become king, he would not understand but it was his dying wish and he would do anything to please the old man be him dead or alive. He wearily wipe his tears and washed his face deciding that he was done crying...at least for today. He lazily tied the hair tie back in his hair in a high ponytail. Only a moment later footsteps were heard coming down the hall. Someone had been searching for him. It was the only way anyone would wonder to the most vacant wing in castle. Oh God no, why him..why now? That was the only thing he and his father had disagreed upon...The Phantom Law's captain. He along with the entire guard--The Phantom Law--was put in charge of watching him; another of his father's dying wishes. But it made him feel useless..like some kind of damsel incapable of protecting herself. He smoothed down his ruffled silver robes and exited the bathroom to face the one man who could get him riled up.
Eye+Eye
I walked around the castle. My black and red cape flowing behind me. Where is that idiot? Crying like a baby? Hah. I snorted at the thought and soon stopped focusing on my task. My silver mask was gleaming in the sunlight. As a reflector, blinding peoples eye's. I had short scruffy black hair, that to, gleamed in the sunlight. My robes of red and black. Stuttered with gems of black and red to. On the back of my flowing cape was a ghost of silver. I stopped at a closed door and looked around. Then I intently listened for something that shuffled in there. Ah.Found you! I smirked beneath my mask of silver. I stood there like a tin soilder. Waiting for you, or someone to emerge from room behind the door. When I saw you, I seized you by the arm and jerked you down the corridor halls. "Now." My rich deep voice rummbled in the brisk air. "Come with me your Highness." The wind smacked the words around your head. Then dropped. We were half way down the empty stillness of the corridor halls. firebird
Giza scowled deeply and as gracefully as he could, remembering to at least attempt to put up the front of a well-bred prince. He grit his teeth and tried to speak in that usually calm tone of voice of his. "Captain, there's no need to be so rough..i simply needed sometime to myself, if only for a moment.", he sighed deeply, struggling to even out his slowly crackling voice..keeping his anger in check. But in his mind he was throwing an all out diva rant, How dare this sniveling fool touch me and pull me around like a sack of potatoes! I am the King, dammit!. He forced a half-assed smile on his soft pink lips trying to maintain his control. "And shouldn't you be elsewhere preparing your troops for my coronation day in a few months? I would hate to think that the famous Phantom Law guard my father left here to protect me is just what it is..a name. And a rather fancy one at that too" He growled lowly in his throat, voicing his apparent displeasure at the captain holding onto his hand for so long. He tugged at his pale, thin wrist, trying to break free of his hold. When it didn't break his hold he silently cursed the man's brute strength against his much more elegant physic. "Now i believe i asked you kindly before to unhand me", he seethed.
Eye+Eye
He then stopped at the end of the corridor. "Don't mock me child!" He then seized your waist and hoisted you up upon his shoulders and carried you down to the cellar. He tied you and left you alone in the complete darkness of the sweaty afternoon. He rummbled out the cellar and back up the lonely empty corridor. He wiped sweat off his forhead. The mask slipping from his wet face. He then stomped back into the crowd of sweating people. Again, the stench filling his nose. Disgusted, he tried not to breath in the nasty odor of the people. Soon he edged away from the smelly sewage people and slid upon a horses back, riding away. firebird
He banged his fists furiously on the guard's back. Who was this man to touch him so lightheartedly? For heaven's sake he was the prince of New Rome yet this lowly guard saw it fit to man-handle him. " Unhand me, fiend!", his normally calm voice was gone now, swept away with the wind as he tried desperately to wiggle free from his guard's hold. Only a moment later he was being tied and left in the cellar for whatever reason he could not comprehend but he hadn't much choice in the matter as he saw only the back of the man that was supposed to be protecting him. He scoffed as the cellar doors closed. Protection, my ass..more like imprisonment. He sighed and sat still awaiting someone to come looking for him once they realised that the Crown Prince was missing. ~ Sleepy, navy coloured eyes slowly blinked open at the sound of voices over head. He was certain they were the voices of his two eldest brothers. Thankfully the bastardly captain had not gagged him. "Raphael! Kain!", he cried out hoping for them to hear his voice. The voices stopped talking and the footsteps ceased. "Did you hear that?", one voice asked another. "Yes, it almost sounded like Giza" The silverette's eyes lit up in glee. "Yes, yes! its me brothers. I'm in the cellar" Only moments later he could hear the sound of the large old doors being creaked open. A deep growl resonated throughout the room. He was sure that that was the eldest prince, Raphael. He had always had a problem with keeping his anger in check. "What is the meaning of this Giza? we have been looking all over for you since you disappeared in the middle of Father's funeral" Kain sighed softly. His dark brown eyes took in the form of his tied up brother before he bent down to untie him. "Now, now Raph, don't get so mad at the poor thing. He obviously didn't want to be down here in the first place" Giza frowned and massaged his now free hands trying to get back some semblance of feeling in them. "Of course i didn't want to be here. It was that wretched guard again." Both brothers looked at him understandingly. Kain sighed. "If I didn't know better i'd say that personal guard of yours had a crush on you. I mean come on, why else would he pick on you so often?" Giza stared at him as if he was mad. "Thank you Kain, now let's go outside. I think you need some fresh air to clear that deluded mind of yours. He waved his hand at his brothers motioning for them to follow him out of the cellar. Eye+Eye
His cape glittered in the setting sun as did the horse's reins, thundering across the sandy roots of the path way. Up ahead a whole army of people marched. They marched toward him in great swift strides. None of which were happy with his decision on the attack. All the Arabian horses lined the front, then Pinto second all pure white and brown, and finally the British Steed. The finest of his well trained horses for this attack. All there weapons glittering in the setting sun. Darkness would soon rise and then, only then, shall all hell break loose. "Sir, there ready to be fired. Shall we fire it?" "No." He looked back and look saddened. "Wait for my signal. Send a scout. From the back." "Yes sir." The Second Comandment went to the back and recalled forth the shaky soilder. "Ready t-to g-gooo sir." "Spy on the Prince and slap that stutter off your face, or I'll slap it for you." He leaned down, grinding the leather agaisnt leather. "Got that?" "Yes s-sir!" And he was off running in the gracefull robes of Battlement. He slid off his horse and led it to the trough were it drinked heavily. "Now, my young Prince." He slid off his glove and stared at the white mark that cross-hatched his wrist. "We shall see." I was doing work sorry.... I'm so busy with school... sorry if I posted with errors, it was kinda fast XD
firebird
Giza paced the grand hall in the throne room. He was worried, not that he'd ever admit that, but it was quite evident and his brothers were annoyed. While it had started out being cute and funny to see the ever impassive Giza worry so sincerely over the well-being of someone he had claimed to hate, now it was just nauseating to watch him move swiftly from one side of the room to the other muttering to himself how he was going to 'kill that guard of his for leaving him unattended for so long.' It was the third oldest who spoke up. "Giza, stop being worried about him so much. He's a grown man. I'm sure he can take care of himself" The silverette stopped in his tracks and glared at his brother, blushing furiously. "I-m not worried about the captain C-Cole!", he said indignantly. The addressed brother waved his hand dismissively at his youngest sibling. "Sureee...and i'm a rainbow unicorn" The teased prince puffed his cheeks out like a chipmunk unintentionally and in the process causing his brothers to keel over laughing. He huffed and strutted from the room with what little pride he could, muttering under his breath about jackass, immature brothers. -------------- As soon as he was out of ear shot Raphael straightened and wiped the smile off of his face. "Hopefully he didn't notice a thing" Kain smiled good-naturedly. "Yes..hopefully. But then again he is our genius little brother so it is likely that he already knows something is up.", his smile fell, "when are we going to tell him why the captain left?...I don't like keeping things from him." Cole's eyebrows furrowed as he thought about what his brother said. " I have to agree with Kain, Raph. It's not going to be pretty for anyone if Giza finds out that we were hiding this from him." The eldest seemed to be in deep thought. "We'll tell him when the time is right", he looked at the throne their father once sat in, "Right now there's no reason for him to know that New Rome is under a threat"
Eye+Eye
The shaky night arrived by foot. Panting, he went around the wall, gently scrapping it agaisnt the stone. He, carefully, climbed the wall, upon which had growing ivy. When he reached the top, he skimmed around the ground. No one in sight, he snaked his way along the empty corridor. The same one Jac led you along. Frozen agaisnt the wall, he listened to the voices within the room. He watched the older brothers chat among them selves. Then slowly, he crept away, carrying the words within his head. Snaking down the same corridor again, and down, slowly, down the ivy. One however fell and cut loose from the wall. The shaky soilder fell in a heap down the wall. Dead and broken. Forever, the voice in his head. Then, slowly, it faded, as did the pain. One last shaky breath, gone. Bleeding in. firebird
The distressed and worried prince made his way down the hall to his room. He sighed resignedly as he walked onto the nearest balcony. Perhaps the fresh air would clear his head. He hummed lightly to himself trying to calm his nerves so and distract himself from his present worries so that he could get ready for bed. He sighed for the nth time that night. Where could he be?. And the worst part was,a large number of his most trusted guards -which was the majority of the Phantom Guard- were also missing so he couldn't send out what little protection the castle had left to go search for him. This had him even more worried and justified his suspicions that his brothers were hiding something He leaned more over the railing at sound of something falling onto the ground with a light thud. His dark blue eyes searched out the darkness below him looking for the source of the sound. Surprise and dread filled him when he made out the lifeless body of a man. Could it be... He raced down the corridors to the front door ignoring his brothers who called after him to stop. He paid no heed to their warnings as he had one set goal in his mind--retrieve the man outside, whether or not he was the captain. Hopefully he wasn't. Hours later they had the man put in bed peacefully resting as the initial shock of thinking he was dead wore off of the prince. At the discovery that the body was that of the captain's he had cleaned his wounds carefully and bandaged him up himself. He was now awaiting his arousal from bed. After he hadn't returned for a while, he was begining to get impatient and slightly scared. Jac roused his men, the night had hit them, now the true battle began. Just as Jac was about to leave, the soilder returned, panting. "S-sss...sir...th...-" he panted more. "The soilder.... d-died..... fall-.... falling off... the wall...." Jac leaned back into his saddle. "Where is the Prince? Is the soilder dead? Quit your huffing or you'll be in that bed to." The soilder took a breath in and gained more control over it. "The Prince is by the dead man, the dead man is in there infirmary, sir." Jac smirked, quite pleased. "Good, now get geared up and drink water, rest, and then we shall go." A couple hours strode by, midnight struck, and so did the war. There horses nearing the walls of the Kingdom. Jac havinng a sword and sheild, covered head to toe in armour, was ready. They brought a canapult, set a hay covered rock on fire, and flung it agaisnt the wall. It crumbled and defintely made a great noise. The war began. firebird
As morning rose so did Giza. He was greeted by the most unpleasant smell ever and it seemed to be coming from the direction of the where the 'captain' lied. Light footsteps padded across the floor over to the injured man to check on his well-being. Except that the 'injured' man had stopped, well.... being. The frailty of his humanity shone through dead eyes as the prince examined the motionless chest. He was sure that he would have lived but he didn't and there wasn't much he could do about that. The thought of him being he captain had disappeared with the glorious morning light shining on his features. He released a breath that he didn't know he was holding. He closed his eyes and bowed his head in respect for the dead man. Giza then closed his still open eyes and whispered, "May your soul rest in peace" He returned to his room but not before telling one of the guards to remove the body in the infirmary and that he should tell the others not to disturb him, all urgent matters were to go to Raphael. He locked himself inside of his personal bathroom. Stripping, he entered the steaming hot water coming directly from the palace's personal hot springs, hoping to for get rid of his previous worries. But still, he couldn't help but wonder: Where was Jac? And wasn't he here with him?
Eye+Eye
"Chaaaarge!" I screamed as all of the men screamed and began to flood into the city. Killing guards and holding men, children, and woman captive. Most of the upper class soilders came with him, up to the castle were you lived. He banged open the great oak doors and let the rest of the stameped in. He went up the stairs on horseback and kicked open your door. Finding your not there, he began to kick all the doors open, killing the guards. "I know your in here somewhere!" He screamed walking up and down the hall on horse. The horse neighed loudly and he waited, swinging his sword side to side. firebird
He was rudely taken out of his relaxed state by someone knocking on the bathroom doors. Sighing, he wrapped himself in his towel as soon as he stepped out of the bath. By the time he reached the door and was about to open it. Said item was flying backwards into the wall behind it-surprisingly it was still on it hinges. When he finally managed to get over the shock that that could have been his detached hand flying backwards, he looked up and came face to face with a nervously panting guard. It almost seemed as if he was afraid to take each quick breath he did with how shaken he looked. "What is the meaning of this?", he demanded. "Your Highness. You need to come with me...your brothers requested that I hid you." He furrowed his brows in confusion. "And why would they want that?" "T-The cas-castle sire, It's under ATTACK!" Without further ado the crown prince left the room and in only moments he was in his own, suiting up and preparing himself for battle. The war was a little unexpected but that was not to say that he would hide like a little boy and watch the defeat...or even victory of his country. He would fight this unknown foe. He and his brothers were his father's legacy but even moreso was the entire city. It was a testimony to his hardwork and there was no way in heaven or hell that he would allow it to be destroyed. He stepped out into the hallway ready for battle. Sword in hand, he rushed to the main hall.
