Rin held the crying Prince in his arms gently. Forever and always he'd be by the younger boys side. And would give his life for the other. When Luceal pulled away- Rin was shocked to see determination and strength in his eyes.

"We need to keep going...I think its time my training got serious"
Rin only nodded. Slowly standing up and leading the way to another village away from the capital. He spoke of dark magic and good magic. How to feel it and not only obtain it but control it. The journey to the village would take four days. Nila found her way back to Luceal just as they headed out. Still small and weak.

----------------------------------

"Find him....And kill him."

Vain gave the three guardians their orders.

Sai, a specialist in weapons and the twin brothers Koi and Crain, specialists of water metal and earth magic. The three men bowed. Darkness consuming there very souls.Completely under Vain's control.

Soon they'd lose themselves forever-

"Yes, Lord Vain."

And they left, there eyes glowing a dark red. There minds set. They had the intent to find the Prince and kill him,

Vain smiled staring at the ceiling of the magnificent castle.

"You can run...but you can't hide my little Prince~ "

He laughed wickedly.

"IM GONNA FIND YOU!!! "

Luceal eagerly followed his guardian, obvious determination shining in tourmaline eyes.

Petting Nila absently, as they walked he asked questions and in turn received answers for them. But it still rest on his shoulders, the physical aspect of magic. While he was always good at grasping written concepts...the physical ones not so much. But he had a reason to try and try until he succeeded. Failure was not an option for certain failure would mean certain death.

"Rin, show me magic. Teach me how to control it and make it work for me instead of the other way around."

Rin stopped looking at the Prince.

"Rin, show me magic. Teach me how to control it and make it work for me instead of the other way around."
He sighed. Walking a little slower. He wasn't like the other guardians, I mean sure he was good with magic But....

"I suppose I can... but I can't teach you the elements."

He moved over to the side.

"We should stop here for now... I'll teach you mediation for now... or illustrations but... it's difficult."

He leaned against a tree. And sat.

"Relax your muscles, your body and mind. Close your eyes. Picture a surrounding... it takes longer trying to use all five senses so for now just picture it. And when your ready open your eyes, try to force that image into me. And we both should see the same thing."

He listened keenly as the other spoke and as soon as Rin finished talking, he sat opposite to his guardian and crossed his legs closing his eyes in the process. Confused as to what he should do during meditation, he hummed lightly to himself imitating what he had seen the budhist monks do in various Chinese-made movies. After while of humming and feeling rather more distracted than relaxed, he shook his head for being silly and just let himself go. He listened to the sounds around him; birds chirping, the light blowing of the mid-morning breeze, the bushes rustling due to movement from small animals...it all helped to put him at ease. Taking the next step, he focused the image of the lake back in his world, where he first met Rin, in his mind. When he was sure that the image was solid and unwavering, he focused on his guardian's aura reaching out to touch him with his mind. As soon as his psyche met something almost hard feeling, he knew that he had reached Rin's mind. Slowly, like drops of water, he allowed the image present in his mind to leak out into the raven's. He could feel that there was another presence in his mind or perhaps he wasn't in his mind anymore. Hopefully he was doing it right.

Rin quietly watched Luceal. Covering his mouth as he tried not to laugh at him humming. So stereo typical. And rather...cute~ When he stopped he smiled faintly. Seeing that he was finally relaxing. He waited to be hit with a illusion. A location of some sort. And That's when the Prince forced an image into his mind. He looked around. Studying his surroundings. He realized it was the first place He had ever met the young Prince in his world. The image was dying..going in and out like a TV channel when it's pouring down rain, and he could still hear Luceal's fluttering heartbeat and slow breaths and the cranking fire- so he knew it was fake.

"Very good for a first try. Keep practicing. Once you master sight. We'll work on the other 5 senses. That way you'll be able to use illusions. But understand -A lot of skilled magic welders can break an illusion. If they don't believe. You just make your enemy believe. I have no doubt in my mind that illusions will not work on Vain. He's too cunning for such a dirty trick. "

He sighed Pulling out some food from his bag he had bought in town. He handed his Prince a sandwich.

"Eat.. you need your strength... after that you may try again. "

He nodded and reached for the sandwich. Grateful for it, he ate with purpose and immediately began to diligently retake the steps to creating an illusion.

A deep sigh was heard as he calmed himself to the point of being half dead. Not an eyelash fell, nor did any muscle twitch. He allowed only the concept of stillness to enter his mind and imprint upon it. The previous image formed itself quite clearly in his mind but now the tricky part was to maintain how it looked while forcing it into Rin's mind. Taking another deep breath, he took the plunge and slowly began to pour out the image into his guardian's mind, only this time, as he entered the raven's psyche he allowed the image to take the form of a memory; trying his best to make it blend in with the others.

Once he was sure that the image was firmly planted into Rin's subconscious, he relaxed and allowed the other to evaluate how well he did or did not do.

Rin waited. Seeing his surrounds again in a new way. He smiled faintly. He could see clearly and perfectly...the Prince's illusion. Even tho he could hear everything around him still. He was very proud of Luceal. He looked at the boy and reached over to him. Wanting to pat his head for a job well done when he stopped. Remember that Luceal didn't want him to touch him. He pulled his hand back fast. Staring in the fire.

"Very good I'm proud of you. Next we'll word on sound. Your improving. "

A frowned marred his face and removed the smile which had bloomed on his face in response to Rin's praise. He wondered why his guardian would be so hesitant to touch him now after all the times he had done it before. Then his words from before came at him fiercely and almost mockingly. It was his fault that Rin had stopped touching him and he wanted to correct his mistake but in his mind it sounded quite odd for him to ask Rin to touch him after how he had went on about it when he did. No, it wouldn't be wise to confront the matter head on. He could only hope that time would correct his mistake.

Everything he had done before to enter Rin's mind was repeated almost naturally. Magic seemed to be getting easier, well..the current aspect of it that is. This time along with his illusion he made it so that his guardian would hear his voice almost like it was in his own thoughts instead of coming from someone in the make-believe world in his mind. Slowly, he allowed himself to materialize in his mind's eye and with the voice he had played so clearly in Rin's head, he allowed the illusion of himself to speak.

"Hello, Rin"

The birds chirped to accompany the natural scenery, the light almost inaudible movements within the water was heard quite clearly but not impossibly so and the branches rustled in the light breeze. It all seemed so real, even to the illusionist himself.

Rin smiled as the vision was nearly perfect. He actually liked the sound of the Prince's voice in his head.

"Hello, Rin"
"Very good Work on the thickness of the trees, and add some more sounds and then it's perfect. He released himself of the illusion and met Luceal's gaze.

"You should head to sleep. Your doing really well...you must be tired. "

The fires light dancing on his fair soft skin.

He smiled brightly at Rin, happy that he did it right. At the mentioning of rest, he was up for the idea before the thought had fully expelled itself from Rin's lips. Rin's lips... he found himself looking at the soft, kissable looking lips imagining what it would feel like to kiss them...suck on them...bite them- He shook his head fiercely. As if hoping that it would somehow shake or at least chase those lecherous ideas out of his head. where did that come from?

He cleared his throat and looked up at his guardian hoping that the crimson blush painting his cheeks had already been dispelled. But unfortunately, it was still there. If anything, looking up at the raven had intensified the heat in his cheeks. Quickly, he turned his head away and stammered out, "I...I sh-should get to bed now...you're right I am f-feeling a bit tired...so good night!", the last bit of his sentence was squeaked out.

Rin didn't take his eyes off the Prince. He stared as the boy blushed and looked away from him. What was he thinking? What was on his mind?

What made him blush so... cutely? He wondered if the other was okay. He watched as the boy cleared his throat and finally met his steamy blue eyes. But he Quickly turned his head away stammering-

"I...I sh-should get to bed now...you're right I am f-feeling a bit tired...so good night!"
He smiled faintly.

"Luceal... You should not be sleeping on the ground- If you wish- you can rest your head on my shoulder...or lap? Anything to make you comfortable. Just let me know..."

He looked away gazing into the fire that danced as of it was a live. He'd do anything for the Prince, his country depended on him and Luceal.

He looked back at his guardian almost shyly. He did want to lie on Rin. If only to get the seemingly distanced raven to touch him seeing as he was avoiding everything of that sort.

"W..ell, I could use a lap to lie on.." He crawled over to Rin in a bout of braveness and lowered his head to is lap. 'He's so warm...and firm...yet soft..'. He nuzzled into his thigh as he whispered a soft and tired 'goodnight'. He called the previously wandering Nila over to him and cuddled the much smaller kitten in his arms. "Good ni...ght...Nila"

Rin smiled faintly as the Prince answered him.

"W..ell, I could use a lap to lie on.."
He watched the Prince crawl over him and lower his head to his lap, and to his surprise- Luceal nuzzled into his thigh whispering 'goodnight' to him. The other was extremely adorable! He patted his head once before gazing into the fire. The Prince was warm and soft. To think he was the only one protecting him worried him slightly.

-------------------------

"We're getting closer."

Sai muttered. The two brothers Koi and Crain right behind him. Sai was an amazing tracker and would meet with Rin and the Prince in less then a day if things continued. Closer and closer.... the Prince would die...and the kingdom of Sairamonda would forever belong to Lord Vain. Darkness was spreading further threw out the land...and hope was fading. Even tho the people knew of a long lost Prince- many didn't believe, many felt abandoned, and many felt like the boy was already dead.

 • 3 weeks later...

After going to bed in his guardian's lap, he drifted off to what was supposed to be a pleasant dream instead he found himself running from...was that...Rin? No. Impossible, he told himself because it just couldn't be real that the man he had come to trust over the time he had been in Saraimonda would be the one to end him. He screamed out in his sleep as dream Rin caught up to him. With a DEADLY look in his eyes, the dream raven rose his hand holding a rather sharp looking knife and brought it down on his chest.

Now, this is usually the part where you wake up but sadly for little Luciel, this was not the case. He felt the pain of the blade piercing the skin of his chest, going through his chest plate and embedding itself within the blood-pumping organ in his body. There was so much fear and surprise... worst of all hurt, that he couldn't make a sound. He was watching himself die but he couldn't tear his gaze away nor could he will the dream gone. He could only hope that the nightmare would end with his sanity in tact.

Rin saw his Prince toss and turn. He gently ran a hair threw the boys hair, trying to ease him But Luceal didn't clam down. He sighed throwing a stick into the fire to keep it going, before gently trying to wake up Luceal. Figuring he was having a nightmare,

"Luceal.... Luceal wake up."

He shook him a little. The sun was rising anyway. So they needed to get moving.

 • 2 weeks later...

With a gasp, he flew up from Rin's lap. His eyes darted around, looking for the non-existing danger. The small body shook with fear and its heart raced so much that it felt as if it was in the throat of the frightened young man. His pink eyes became a darker shade of red as his throat became clogged with an unknown entity and his lungs, struggled to allow air in and out. The bout of tears that followed were more expected. The crystalline water droplets rolled off his cheeks in heavy masses. He didn't even try to stop them. They would suffocate him if he tried. As soon as his eyes met that of his guardian's, he began crying even more and threw himself into his arms, hugging the man almost to death. "Pr-pr-promise...m-e..that you...'ll ne-never betray me!"

He felt and knew that he looked like a spoiled child; clinging to his guardian, bawling his eyes out and demanding his loyalty. But that was how that dream made him feel-like a child. He was afraid. Afraid of the darkness around him, afraid of what was to come, afraid of losing his most trusted friend and afraid of failing. So yes, he justified it, there was more than enough reasons for such a copious amount of tears.

Rin was taken back by how the Prince woke up in pure terror. Sitting up fast and shaking like crazy, He was shocked by Luceal's tears that ran down his cheeks.

As soon as their eyes met Luceal began crying even more and threw himself into his arms,

"L-Luceal. Calm down what's wrong?"

His voice empathetic and worried. He cared deeply for the boy. He let the Prince hug him tightly

"Pr-pr-promise...m-e..that you...'ll ne-never betray me!"
Hearing the boy say that made his eyes widened slightly. He cupped the boys cheek, forcing him to stare into his pretty fadded blue eyes.

"What is all this nonsense? I would never betray you Luceal... You are everything to me. "

His thumb gently creasing the boys skin.

"Calm down... it was only a dream. A nightmare. You'll be fine. We have to head out. Now... "

Nodding, he allowed a few more shaky breaths out of his clenched lungs. His body still subtly shook with small tremors, as if they were the aftershock of a devastating earthquake. As they stood to leave, he selfishly wrapped his arms around one of Rin's. No doubt it would make moving around difficult. But he needed all the reassurance he could get. He needed to know that the man he had come to trust and care for so much would not abandon or hurt him. He looked up at his guardian with large, glossed over pleading eyes. "Okay..the...then let's go", he said, his voice still shaky from the tears.

Rin stood dusting himself off. He was surprised feeling Luceal take his arm, clinging to him like a lost child, or scared lover. Rin couldn't help but wondered what kind of dream the Prince had to scary him so bad.

"Okay..the...then let's go"
He said, his voice still shaky from the tears. Rin tried to reassure him.

"Its going to be okay..." He looked down at the boys pet. She had been distant for some time now. He tried not to think anything of it as they pushed forward. As they walked, the sky became cloudy.

"Its going to rain... but the village is close see"

He pointed to a few houses about 7 miles away.

" We should be fine."

He smiled down at the Prince when he suddenly stopped. His eyes wondered to the woods, as they stopped walking the path

"..........Luceal..."

Something....didn't feel right. And suddenly a arrow came out of the trees flying at the Prince.

"GET DOWN!"

He pushed the Prince down and shielded him with his body. Rin recognized the arrow well... it was the weapon of a close friend...and guardian. Sai was here!

He pushed Luceal and him apart as a huge bolder tried to smash them.... Crain.

Rin got on his feet, as Crain creeped out of the woods. No emotion on his face. He had black hair, cut short... and dim green eyes.

"No... Crain! Crain stop this!"

But his friend only charged at him, under the control of Lord Vain. As Sai aimed at Luceal in the trees, ready to kill. He pulled his arrow back, seconds from killing him.

Rin screamed at the Prince.

"RUN!!! RUUUUNNN LUCEAL!!"

Luceal couldn't do anything... his job was to stay alive for his people... not risk his life for a mere guardian.

The smile that appeared on his face from his guardian's caring voice, was wiped clean as they were attacked quite literally out of nowhere. He only blinked as he was pushed away from Rin by said man. His heart rate sped up as he was told to run but he was frozen in fear. His first dream came back to him; could this be what it had meant? Because as far as he knew, Crain was supposed to be his guardian as well but here he and his friend -perhaps another guardian- were attacking him. There wasn't anymore time to think. The arrow came at him at a blinding sped. He closed his eyes awaiting the impact...it never came. Opening them, he came face to face with the small body of his little Nila. She had jumped in the way and had taken the hit for him. Her small furry body was covered in blood. His pink eyes widened and his vision bled red. He could see nor hear anything but his practically dead friend and her last breaths of life.

Covering his mouth, he screamed into the surrounding woods. They took someone so precious to him all because of him. He screeched into the air this time chasing out all forms of life from the woods. "Ni...Nila," he gasped. He held the bloodied creature close to his chest and bawled his eyes out rocking back and forth muttering her name. But this only resulted in more blood. All over him there was only blood. The crimson fluid stained his shirt and painted his hands red. There was no stopping it. Looking over to Rin who was battling Crain, he screamed again in agony. But this time it bore fruit.

The entire scenery began to crumble. It looked as if it was being swallowed by some omnipresent black hole. He screamed once more and dropped Nila in favour of tearing at the hair on his pounding skull. Lightening struck the earth and and the trees uprooted. He felt like a small frightened animal. It was only by instinct it had all began and until that primal instinct was reassured of Rin's and Nila's safety, Saraimonda would collapse by the end of the day.

Rin fought for dear life. Yelling at his friend who was taken by the darkness. He glanced back at Luceal, and saw the horrifying scene. The boy was coveted in blood, and his gifts were going out of control. He hadn't seem Nila save Luceal but he had to get him to run. Rain started to pour down hard, just as Koi appeared, no doubt his doing. The water guardian, came up behind Luceal and surrounded him in water. Capturing him in a bubble filled with with it. The boy couldn't destroy Sairamonda if he was already dead. He was literary drowning Luceal!

Koi looked similar to Crain since they were brothers, black hair, same build and face, but he had purple eyes like him! And he also was taken over by Lord Vain.

"LUCEAL!"

Rin knocked Crain to the ground and ran to the Prince, He muttered a magic spell and the bubble suddenly fell apart, as Koi went flying into Sai, releasing Luceal. He picked him up fast! Covered in mud and drenched in water. He ran, with the boy in his arms, as fast as he could.

" Luceal- listen to me!"

He breathed into the others ear. The three guardians hot on there trail, arrows flying at them, rocks trying to hit them.

"You have to run! I'll be ok! You have to stay calm and run! My life means nothing if your dead! YOU MUST RUN!"

He yelled! He couldn't stress this issue enough! He had to distract the three somehow-

"AGGHH!"

He suddenly fell into the mud with the Prince. A Arrow hit him in the leg. Causing him to fall. He pulled away from Luceal and winced As he yanked it out.

"GO! GOD DAMN IT LUCEAL ! Go!!'

He knew the arrow had poison on it... and he would quickly black out. He needed Him to run... and hide.

"Hide! Run! Go!"

He begged The boy.

Suddenly arrows hit Luceal's clothing pinning him to a tree behind him. Crain came out of no where and kicked Rin, beating the shit out of him. Sai and Koi were to business with the Prince.

One of the boys eyes turned completely black. Koi.... A dark voice spilling out of his mouth.

"So you are their son...I am Lord Vain. It is nice to meet you~"

He smirked looking back at Rin, who was getting a beating.

"Well... I give him respect for protecting you this long, Dear boy... what is your name my Prince~"

Hector pointed a Arrow at his head... his eyes hollow. He had bright red hair and a friendly face... yer right now it was dark. He was slim bit muscular like all the other guardians, and had shimmering green eyes.

As soon as he was released from that suffocationg bubble. He gasped for dear life. His magical flow had been cut off. It was a fight or flight situation and seeing as he was tired and out of power he was ready to take flight. A pity that he chose to understand that now as in only moments the panicking Rin was down and he found himself pinned to a tree. He was sure that death was imminent. While he was not a pessimistic person, it was hard to deny what was staring him in the face. He would die and all would be lost. His hope shrivelling and dying, was suddenly revived by an arrow whizzing pass his face and causing some amount of damage to Koi's cranium. There was hope, there was help. Oh thank God! He only hoped that their help was enough to get them out of the situation.
