A Demon's Way w/ クローバー (Clover)

Hiroki was sitting where he had sat before thinking a bit. He watched the two walk into the dining room and his eyes narrow. 'So that's what it is... How sweet and yet cute all in one...' he thinks picking up on Seiji's last thought. It amused him somewhat and he wouldn't mind calling the other out on it. Though Hiroki would play nice a little longer. It wasn't like he had to be the bad guy anytime soon.

Masaki sat down next to Hiroki.

"He was bitten by a vampire. He showed me the bite marks." Masaki whispered. "But as far as I can tell, he has no fangs."

He looked to the table to see what had been prepared. His mouth watered when he saw roasted turkey and an assortment of cheeses and other vegetables. There was also a sandwich press and some fresh bread sitting off to the side.

"Looks like it's turkey sandwiches for dinner tonight!" he said excitedly. "Let's eat!"

He took a sizable portion of the French baguette in front of him, sliced it, put fresh mozzarella cheese on first, then put some sliced turkey on the cheese before putting the sandwich in the press.

"Certain vampires can hide those. If one is bitten by like the king or is the king of vampires." he whispers back to him. Hiroki found such a thing exciting. "Oh before we get to my house there's somewhere I have to stop. Is that alright with you?" he asked him. While waiting for a reply from Masaki, Hiroki began preparing his sandwich. He wasn't big on eating bread but it was just today so he would be fine.

"Where do we need to stop?" Masaki asked as he took his sandwich from the press. He took a bite, a satisfying crunch coming from the toasted bread. The melted cheese mixed well with the flavor (or lack thereof) of the turkey.

Hiroki glanced over to him. "No where special. Its just a place I tend to visit from time to time. If you don't want to its fine. I can go another day on my own." he said softly. He then took a bit from the sandwich he made. he felt no need in placing it into the press. His gaze drifting to the side. "I want to say something. Don't let your guard down when I'm not around."

"I'll go with you." Masaki said, eating more. "Also... I need to talk to you later. Preferably when we're alone."

He finished his sandwich and handed off the plate to a servant.

"Meet me in my room. I need to pack a few things first before I go to your house." Masaki said.

Hiroki nods as he wasn't quite finished with his sandwich. He watched Masaki walk off towards his room. He sat there finding this place to be a bit surprising after all. He couldn't help but notice it now. The boy really lived the life of luxury. It kind of upset him since he wasn't so lucky to at least know such a lifestyle. Thinking back on his life he smirked. He didn't find it all too bad.

Masaki laid on his bed, waiting for Hiroki. He could sense the tension between him and Seiji. However, he debated on how to tell him about his status with Seiji. Though they broke up a while ago, Masaki was unsure of whether Hiroki would be jealous of that or not. He decided to just give him facts when he came and continued to wait.

Hiroki finished eating and got up. He set everything neatly so it wasn't so much of a mess to clean up. Once that was done he began making his way up to the room. He slowly entered and looked at the boy. "Are you tired?" he asked noticing him on the bed. He didn't mind if the other was. Swimming sometimes had that effect.

"No. Not in particular." Masaki said, sitting up. "Come closer."

Masaki pointed to a vacant spot on his bed, waiting to see what Hiroki would do.

Hiroki walked over towards him. He sits beside him and sighs. "You seem to have something on your mind. What is it?" he asked him softly. He wonders why Masaki looked as though he was sad or hiding something. That made him worry.

"Hiroki... Are you jealous of Seiji?" Masaki asked. "Either way, you have no reason to feel that way. We couldn't go very far without my brother-in-law breathing down our necks, so we couldn't be any more than friends."

He slowly found his way into Hiroki's arms and wrapped his arms around him.

"I'm sorry for confusing you." he said.

"Why would you think I was jealous of that man. I was more concerned about you. Seems he still has feeling for you is all. I don't mind who you like as long as I am number one. Besides, as long as he keeps to himself and doesn't approach you I am fine. He is of no bother to me." Hiroki said kissing Masaki's forehead.

"I'm glad you understand." Masaki said, smiling at his boyfriend. "I wouldn't think to cheat on you. Even with my best friend."

Masaki gently nuzzled his head into Hiroki's chest, feeling the fiery warmth radiating from the other demon's body and hearing his heartbeat sounding constantly.

"When do you want to head out?" he asked.

Hiroki glanced down at Masaki. "Whenever you are ready. I am in no real rush. Its no where special we are going." he said glancing out the window. He noticed it was going to rain soon. Not that it would bother him.

"Let me pack some things first." Masaki said, gathering a blue suitcase out from under his bed. He then took a couple changes of clothes and his toiletries. He didn't take very long.

"I'm ready. We can go whenever you're ready." he said.

Hiroki looked around as he waited for the other once Masaki said he was ready, a smile appeared on his cheeks. "Alright then let's get going. Do you plan to say bye to your servants before we to?" he wanted to make sure the boy was ready to go.

"I will. Just meet me at the front door." Masaki said, walking down to the kitchen where the servants were eating.

"Guys, I'll be heading out with my boyfriend for a few days. I'm not sure how long I'll be there, but take care of the place while I'm gone, okay?" he said.

"Yes, my prince." they all said, standing up and bowing. Seiji remained standing as the other servants got back to eating. He pulled Masaki towards him and kissed him softly on the lips. Though the kiss was chaste, Masaki felt a little uncomfortable, especially having promised not to cheat on Hiroki. However, he calmed himself when he remembered how he stole Hiroki's first kiss.

"Please be safe, young master." Seiji said. "We'll watch over the place while you're gone."

Masaki turned red and looked away.

"Th-thank you..." he said before running off to meet Hiroki at the front door.

Hiroki nods as he looked at Masaki walk off first. He went towards the front door waiting for the other. He wonders if taking the other where he had to go would be alright. Shaking the though from him he sighs softly as he waits. Upon seeing Masaki walk towards the door his gaze narrows.

Masaki looked ready to leave, but he noticed Hiroki's face expression change. Trying to ignore it, he pushed the door open and held it for Hiroki.

"What's wrong?" he asked, before remembering that Seiji had kissed him.

Hiroki leaned close to Masaki. "I'll correct that later. Let's be on our way before it gets dark. I'd hate for you to get wet." he said walking outside with the other. He took hold of the boy's luggage as he began walking towards the forest.

"Y-yeah... Let's go." Masaki said, following Hiroki. He looked up at the cloudy skies.

"Where are we going?" Masaki asked as they walked.

Hiroki continued to walk making sure Masaki was close behind. He stopped at a waterfall deep within the forest. "You are so worrisome. I said we were going someplace. Its nothing bad alright." he said softly before turning to pick him up. "This is the tricky part so hold on tight." he said walking behind the falls. There seemed to be a bridge there but it was crumbling away. Once across it Hiroki put him down. "Here we are. This is my home Masaki. Well the place I was born anyway." he said

Masaki looked around. Hiroki came from an interesting place to say the least.

"You were born in the forest?" Masaki said. "Interesting... I remember reading that lots of demons like the forest because it's quiet and they can strike trespassers without being noticed."

[azuneko]

"I suppose so. This place is just ruins now since I left it like that. Anyway, I just came to say hello to someone and then we can go." he says softly as he picked up Masaki again. He went over towards the center cluster of towers. It was more well together than the rest of the place. He placed Masaki down again and walked down the rubble street path. In the center of the place was a cage that was clearly broken open from the center. Hiroki walked by it towards a tall tree. He stood by it with a sigh.
